Terry, what do you think about encryption and privacy in the digital age?
Will TempleOS ship with a secure web browser eventually?

He doesn't plan on adding networking it meant to be dual booted in a vm.

He wrote on Reddit that networking isn't out of the question actually.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TempleOS_Official/comments/2pzdy6/can_there_be_networking/

>I hope to hand some control to a committee or something. God did not ban networking, but I insist on the 100,000 line limit. We could probably have FTP and TELNET. I don't want a full browser and all that. It's hard to explain, but it's kind-of designed to be small. Multimedia would fragment memory with big files. I really don't want it a complete operating system. I really want it to be a secondary OS, for the next thousand years, that lives peacefully dual booting on machines, along side your primary OS. 640x480 16 color is definitely a rule from God. Therefore, you want another OS for normal stuff.

Well with FTP, one can download a browser for TempleOS and just use that.

yeah, it's not in the vision. FTP might be possible but not a browser. It is 640x480 16 color. It's not for multimedia. Use your main OS for INternet stuff.

and who is going to make the web browser you fucking idiot?
and who is going to implement ftp, and rest of the network stack which it requires? fucking retard.

If Terry plans on implementing FTP, that logically means he has to implement TCP/IP. In such a case, a browser can be made. As for who.. any hobbyists who use TempleOS. You fuckers are the ones who want to use it, so you can work together to make it a more usable OS.

And besides, just imagine: an OS written in holy C.

he does not plan on implementing it you fucktard. and he set a limit on 100k lines of which 80k have been used. you cannot implement the network stack in so few lines of code. now fuck off.

20 kloc is way, way more than enough for a TCP/IP stack.

I would actually suggest selling it to stormfags, since it's pretty much the only OS out there that's made entirely by the white man. Say what you want about stormfags, but it might be a good niche.

uIP is a small implementation of the TCP/IP stack and it is less than 8000 lines (including whitespaces, comments, etc.)

Would it be possible as an application rather than part of the OS?

I doubt TempleOS really NEEDS security for the local side of things, maybe for online but TempleOS doesn't tackle the internet or the web.

For the most part, if your local network is secure and your host machine is secure, then TempleOS will be secure too.
