Welcome to /32/, Infinitychan's Psychopolitics board.

Definition

Psychopolitics can be defined as the study and practice of the ways psychology, sociology, and politics interrelate and give rise to one another, and includes (but is not restricted to):

>Ideological Propaganda

>Psychological Warfare

>Cult Psychology

>Media Manipulation

Basically, practices that involve mental coercion. Think anything from "The Manchurian Candidate" to "They Live".

Goals

The main goal of the board is sharing information that will allow us to learn to detect, resist and possibly apply coercive techniques.

The more specific objectives are:

*Analyse media for ideological messages

*Decompose of statements so as to show their true meaning

*Study memes, from their creation to their final effect. Possible experiment with meme creation.

*Discuss the ethics of Psychopolitics

*Develop techniques for resisting coercion

*Find ways for those without media control to wage psychological warfare

*Unveil the inner workings of the media.

Rules

Our constitution is available at https://mega.nz/#!vsUFzDDQ!Gz8f71W06MBisLi5a-B7Lu8f6brmVpfeSnNNPrwRxSQ

Thank you for reading.

What are some practical techniques of suggestion to program/deprogram myself? What are some practical techniques to influence others in face to face or written communication? Is it possible to build a mental firewall to protect myself to a degree?

For example, I would like to be able to program myself so that upon a certain trigger my memory would be greatly enhanced or to be able to slip instantly into a selected emotional state.

I already use a keyword and tactile feedback to quickly slip into a theta state when meditating. I did this by mentally writing in pseudo-code a "program" every time I started meditating. Now I can just call the program name and I don't have to imagine all the "code".

However, I assume that a lot of people on this board must have more effective techniques for controlling themselves and others.

I am aware of NLP and hypnosis, but searching for such information produces huge amounts of nonsense and snake-oil. The stuff that seems legit is mostly theoretical and doesn't give actual exercises to perform.

If this is not /32/ material, apologies in advance, though I would appreciate directions as to where to ask.

But you see, the very nature of television is that it continues on without any agency from the viewer. You do not engage the content, you simply receive it.

I've heard people say this before, but I disagree. For starters: if you've ever really read the movie credits you'll find that a lot of people have done a lot of different things that you may have missed on first sight. For each element in a TV-show (basic start is differentiating sound from video & start focusing on the sounds that are played with the video that's output) there's a lot of depth that define those parts of the production. Eventually you'll start to learn the techniques how elements are manipulated inside of shots, and see that everything is built to support a dramatic narrative. I think that the production focussing on dramatic narrative makes it easy to have such a passive experience. Everything is made to seem as natural as possible inside the narrative frame. But the narrative frame is not the interesting part of the show, its the conception of the narrative and the supporting elements, since that too is fully created by the production (even if the star of the show is telling a "true" story). Eventually TV will never be the same, and each program will have its own format which makes it interesting even when at first it seemed some kind of shit show

insight in to emptiness gives greater malleability of mind and all its faculties. i can cultivate any emotional state at will now. with meditation you learn to take control of the minds associative ability so you can do what you need to do internally.

to influence others probably look into some western occult practice ontop of this.

NLP is learnt from in person classes, they run about anywhere from 8 to 16k.

I can not justify the belief that indifference poses a solution, and that one has objected to any sort of free will. Most aspects of life are uncontrollable, and you are subjected to be the product of your "Environment". All you can do is critically reason, but that will gradually poison you because that's not how we are designed to live. If you want to project yourself into a machine, soon you will get so detached that any chance of life pulling you back in will end in suicide.

Hi /32/, I'm personally involved in a research program that runs for 6 months that involves using one of these Oura rings to track a number of things from activity level to sleep activity. I've been involved for a few weeks now, and over the past couple days I've been getting more and more concerned with how much information is "out there" about me. Does anyone have any info on exactly how the info that these trackers collect is used? Thanks.

A few stand out. Funny how directly size of the text someone posts correlates with having something intelligent to say.

This relates to the topic breached i-that-t: meow wars could be much more effective. Gen text w/ definite sense in segments and was clearly on topic, but is difficult to parse and ultimately uninspired, thoughtless machine drivel. Simulate the experience of "not getting it" but for people who are legitimately not lacking any intellectual capacity.

I believe I will start posting on this board once a week. Obviously I don't want to burn away all the old threads especially before I have read them all, so I will necropost a lot and only make new threads when I have a very broad category of our martial art to discuss. This thread is dedicated to our internal group dynamics.

I have a friend who will be stopping by later tonight or next week. They will be defining the reasons why people of our persuasion might utilize an anonymous public forum to discuss methodologies that are rightfully the most proprietary of crown jewels.

Alleviation of this apparent paradox will abet future collaboration.

In the meanwhile, it is wise to think of projects that you want to see completed for their own sake.

That third model of its type that we all probably have our eyes on, kind of shameful that it requires an application PI key application to access. If you read about projects like Clever hans, it is possible to replicate models by comprehendingPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

What are /32/s thoughts on Donald Trump?

Personally, I find him suspicious. Before him people in the chans and just 'certain' kind of people who questioned the whole political system had no hope. But then comes this guy and now suddenly a huge part of these groups of people get behind this new political figure.

I think he could be legit, but when I remember how it all used to be in the pre-Trump era, like I said, I find him suspicious. To be more specific I wonder if it's all just a show planned by you-know-who to polarize society. Maybe they want to persuade this more 'awaken' politically groups of people to then let them down hugely and ruin their credibility (and their own faith in their capacity of interpreting reality)?

Could this all be a show? The media hates him, but they do talk about him. They give him a platform. Maybe they are using people's mistrust of the media to persuade them into liking Trump?

Perhaps I'm being too paranoid but that's basically my thoughts...

Also, regardless of him being legit or not, I think analyzing and comparing this post-Trump era with the pre-Trump era could be interesting as well.

Am I the only one who occasionally revisits music videos from the 90s? It's an incredible insight and acts like forecast considering contemporary culture's current psycho-social milieu.

The Spice Girls are often very transparent in their agendas, the lyrics are loaded with sexual innuendo while instilling the importance of socialization, acceptance, into a particular set, presumably for organization's sake, each spice is an archetype. But, it's not so much the lyrics I'm eager to discuss, it's more-so the content of 90s pop music videos.

They later come to harass what appears to be a successful nuclear family.

What's odd, next they run into the hotel, a random man with a walkie-talkie clipped on his backside (film crew?) is stopped by security while they run in to cause trouble.

I was actually thinking about this view. It's also shitting on British culture by making traditional brits seem lame and being super disrespectful. They are contrasted to the family in the rolls Royce. They are dancing around and being independent and multicultural and the family are all very stodgy (driving an old car, meaning out of touch).

It's all about defilement of anything that could be considered conservative and respectable and upper class.

A video that has a similar theme is this one (linked).

Nous (adj. noetic) in Orthodox Christianity is the eye of the soul. Just as the soul of man, is created by God, man's soul is intelligent and noetic. St. Thalassios wrote that God created beings "with a capacity to receive the Spirit and to attain knowledge of Himself; He has brought into existence the senses and sensory perception to serve such beings." Eastern Orthodox Christians hold that God did this by creating mankind with intelligence and noetic faculties. Angels have intelligence and nous, whereas men have reason, nous and sensory perception. This follows the idea that man is a microcosm and an expression of the whole creation or macrocosmos; it is through the healed and corrected nous and the intelligence that man knows and experiences God.

In this belief, soul is created in the image of God. Since God is Trinitarian, Mankind is Nous, Word and Spirit. The same is held true of the soul (or heart): it has nous, word and spirit. To understand this better first an understanding of St. Gregory Palamas's teaching that man is a representation of the trinitarian mystery should be addressed. This holds that God is not meant in the sense that the Trinity should be understood anthropomorphically, but man is to be understood in a triune way. Or, that the Trinitarian God is not to be interpreted from the point of view of individual man, but man is interpreted on the basis of the Trinitarian God. And this interpretation is revelatory not merely psychological and human. This means that it is only when a person is within the revelation, as all the saints lived, that he can grasp this understanding completely (see theoria). The second presupposition is that mankind has and is composed of nous, word and spirit like the trinitarian mode of being. Man's nous, word, and spirit are not hypostasis or individual existences or realities, but activities or energies of the soul. Were as in the case with God or the Persons of the Holy Trinity each are indeed hypostases. So these three components of each individual man are 'inseparable from one another' but they do not have a personal character" when in speaking of the being that is mankind.

The nous as the eye of the soul, which some Fathers also call the heart, is the center of man and is where true (spiritual) knowledge is validated. This is seen as true knowledge which is "impPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

I learned about psychosocial development stages like "Initiative vs Guilt" and I realized that might explain a few things. Maybe the sheer amount of people who suffered from that sort of thing scaled up the issue when they all participated in politics.

Sheltered kids aren't as confident and can often only see the negatives in new ventures, which might be why change is so slow to come and why we have such a hard time agreeing on anything in politics. Because we scare ourselves out of considering possible solutions with the negatives.

I guess Obama wasn't the only one that put kids in cages.
