The day my Dad died.

In my backyard, I turned on the spinning lawn sprinkler and one of the brass caps on the end flew off. It was just one more thing to ruin the day. I looked all over the lawn for the cap, but it was nowhere to be found. In a moment of frustration, I looked to the sky and said Dad if you can hear me, please help me find that cap as I do not want to go buy another sprinkler. The next morning, the brass cap was sitting in the middle of a glass top table I have in the yard. Your Dad is still with you.

Former child star Matthew Mindler, 19, found dead after being reported missing

Child actor Matthew Mindler has been found dead at the age of 19, just three days after the college freshman was reported missing.

Millersville University revealed the devastating news in an announcement to the student body Saturday.

“It is with a grieving heart that I let you know of the death of 19-year-old Matthew Mindler from Hellertown, Pennsylvania, a first-year student at Millersville University. A search had been underway for Matthew since Thursday, after he was reported missing,” it read.

“Matthew was found deceased this morning, Saturday, August 28, in Manor Township near campus. Matthew was transported to the Lancaster County Forensic Center by the coroner for further investigation.”

Officials did not disclose the cause of death or whether foul play is suspected.

A missing adult report was filed after Mindler’s family said he “did not return to his room or return phone calls from his family” Wednesday. He was last seen leaving his dorm room building around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, and failed to show up to his classes the following morning.

Mindler co-starred with Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks and Zooey Deschanel in 2011’s “My Idiot Brother.” His last role was that of a character named Peter in 2016 TV movie, “Chad: An American Boy,” according to IMDB.

Nina Sayers is a 28-year-old who lives with her overprotective mother, Erica, and dances with a New York City ballet company. The company is opening the season with Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. After forcing prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre into retirement, artistic director Thomas Leroy announces he is looking for a new dancer for the dual roles of the innocent and fragile White Swan Odette and the sensual Black Swan Odile. Nina auditions for the roles and gives a flawless performance as Odette, but fails to embody Odile.

The following day, Nina asks Thomas to reconsider her role. When he forcibly kisses her, she bites him and runs out of his office. Later that day, Nina sees the cast list and discovers to her surprise she has received the lead roles. At a gala celebrating the new season, an intoxicated Beth accuses her of sleeping with Thomas for a promotion. The following day, Nina hears Beth was hit by a car. Thomas believes Beth was attempting to commit suicide.

During rehearsals, Thomas tells Nina to observe a newcomer, Lily, who has a physical resemblance to Nina but also an uninhibited quality Nina lacks. Nina hallucinates a doppelgänger more and more frequently and finds scratch marks on her own back.

One night, despite Erica's objection, Nina accepts Lily's invitation to go out for drinks. Lily offers Nina an ecstasy capsule, saying it would help her relax. Nina turns it down, but Lily spikes her drink with the powder. Under its influence, Nina flirts with men at the bar and Lily as well. The two dance at a nightclub and return to Nina's apartment late. After arguing with her mother, Nina barricades herself in her room and has sex with Lily. She wakes up the next morning alone, still locked in her room from inside, and late for the dress rehearsal.

Upon arriving at Lincoln Center, Nina sees Lily dancing as Odile and confronts her about their night together. Lily denies going home with Nina and taunts Nina for having a sexual fantasy about her. Nina is unsure if the sexual encounter was a hallucination. After learning that Thomas has made Lily her alternate, Nina's hallucinations grow stronger and her injuries increase. On opening night, her mother tries to prevent her from leaving, and Nina fights her. After jeering that her mother was never promoted above the corps, she leaves. As Nina is late, Lily is already prepped to replace her. Nina confronts Thomas, who is so impressed by her newfound confidence that he allows her to take back her roles.

Toward the end of the second act, Nina is distracted by a hallucination and loses her stability. The dancer playing the prince drops her on stage, infuriating Thomas. She returns to her dressing room and finds Lily preparing to be Odile. As they argue, Lily transforms into Nina. The two fight, breaking a mirror. Nina stabs her doppelgänger with a large piece of glass from the mirror, killing her. The body reverts to Lily. Nina hides the body in the bathroom and returns to the stage, where she loses herself and dances flawlessly as Odile. Amidst a standing ovation from the audience, Nina surprises Thomas with a passionate kiss and returns to her dressing room.

As Nina puts the Odette costume and makeup back on, there is a knock at her door. She opens it to see Lily alive and well. Lily apologizes and congratulates her, then leaves. Confused, Nina sees the mirror is broken, but the towel she used to mop up blood is clean. She looks down and pulls a shard of glass from her abdomen, realizing she stabbed herself, not Lily.

Nina dances the last act, which ends with Odette throwing herself off a cliff and Nina landing on a mattress behind the scenes. The theater erupts in applause while Thomas, Lily, and the others gather to congratulate Nina, who remains lying on the mattress. Thomas sees the blood spreading at her waist and shouts for help. He asks Nina what happened to her. Nina calmly replies that her performance was perfect as the screen fades to white.

Lawyers In Michigan Kidnapping Case Are Seeking Information About An FBI Agent’s Internet Intelligence Company

Citing a BuzzFeed News article published Thursday, attorneys for five defendants in the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer are seeking information about an FBI agent with a previously undisclosed relationship to a cyber security company.

The article revealed that the special agent, Jayson Chambers, is the registered owner of an “internet intelligence company” called Exeintel LLC, and that an online troll claiming to be Exeintel’s CEO appeared to have tweeted about the Michigan investigation before it was revealed to the public.

The defense attorneys have previously sought data from Chambers’ cellular phone. The new pleading, filed late Friday night, argues the revelations about Exeintel underscore the urgency of their request.

Attorneys for Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, and Brandon Caserta are also seeking cell phone data from a second FBI agent, Henrik Impola, and a confidential informant in the case, identified in court papers as “Dan,” “Big Dan,” or “Thor.”

According to evidence presented by law enforcement, Dan infiltrated an armed extremist group called the Wolverine Watchmen and recorded hundreds of hours of conversations and text messages for the FBI as members of the group developed what prosecutors call a plot to kidnap Gov. Whitmer. A total of 14 people have been brought up on a variety of state and federal charges, many of them classified as domestic terrorism. Many of the defendants have argued that they were entrapped, and in the new pleading five of them claim that access to the cell phone data is essential to making their case.

In the brief filed late Friday, the defense attorneys also cited a message from Chambers to

Dan, apparently directing him to urge another suspect to plot against the governor of Virginia. A screenshot of a text message allegedly sent by Chambers to Dan that is included in the new filing reads: “Mission is to kill the governor specifically.”

On the afternoon of Oct. 7, 2020, a Twitter account known for right-wing trolling issued an enigmatic warning: “Don’t worry Michigan I told ya A LOT more coming soon.”

The account, @ravagiing, provided no further details, but just hours later, the FBI executed coordinated raids throughout Michigan, arresting nearly a dozen people it said were involved in a plot to kidnap the state’s governor, Gretchen Whitmer.

The next day, after the alleged plot had made international headlines, the account tweeted again: “I told ya ahead of time, Michigan.” And, indeed, @ravagiing — whose Twitter bio describes the individual or individuals as CEO of a cyber intelligence firm called Exeintel — had been dropping hints for months. “Soon….MICHIGAN Soon,” the account tweeted on Sept. 24.

The tweets could be dismissed as little more than an odd coincidence. But government records show that Exeintel is owned by Jayson Chambers — one of the lead FBI agents on the Michigan case.

The trademark for Exeintel, meanwhile, is held by a man named Jaime Chanaga, a cybersecurity expert who also volunteers for Infragard, a government-funded nonprofit that collaborates directly with the FBI on “counterterrorism, counter intelligence, cybercrime, and other matters relevant to informed reporting of potential crimes and attacks on the nation,” according to its tax filings.

Chambers declined to comment on the matter. A spokesperson for the FBI also declined to comment. The identity of the individual or individuals behind the @ravagiing account could not be ascertained, and multiple attempts to contact them, as well as Exeintel, were also unsuccessful. The Exeintel website went offline soon after BuzzFeed News sent in queries, and it is not cached online because it has been “excluded” from the Internet Archive. The Twitter account for @exeintel, meanwhile, has been suspended.

Reached by phone, the cybersecurity expert, Chanaga, acknowledged having filed the paperwork for the Exeintel trademark but claimed it was for a venture that he didn’t end up launching. He denied knowing anyone associated with Exeintel, said he had “no affiliation” with Chambers or the person or people behind @ravagiing, and claimed he has for several years been the victim of doxxing attempts to fraudulently link him to the company. Chanaga offered no explanation for why his own company, which owns the Exeintel trademark, is registered at the same rural New Mexico address as the Exeintel LLC registered to Chambers. Chanaga promised to send answers to additional questions in writing, but never did.

Last month, one of the other FBI agents working the case, Richard Trask, was charged with felony assault in state court for allegedly beating his wife. He has pleaded not guilty, according to his lawyer Sarissa Montague. One of the primary confidential informants in the case was indicted on a gun charge in March but has pleaded not guilty, claiming that the FBI gave him "authorization" for his actions. Many of the defendants, meanwhile, are now arguing that they were entrapped by the FBI, and, in particular, by the informant handled by Chambers.

A review of activity from the @ravagiing account reveals a long history of boosting conspiracy theories including climate change denialism as well as attacks on Democratic politicians, so-called antifa, and Muslims. The account, which currently has more than 47,000 followers, claims to be based in the United Kingdom and the US. Among its followers is former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and its intel has been publicly cited by conservative journalist Andy Ngo.

The @ravagiing account has also posted screenshots of what it claims are encrypted messages with federal agents working on an ISIS case that led to multiple arrests in Michigan in early 2019.

On his Facebook page, Chambers does not mention the FBI but instead describes himself as a “Sheepdog at Sheep Protection Services.” His LinkedIn profile, meanwhile, says he has been a special agent since 2010 and lists considerable experience in counterterrorism while at the bureau. Court documents show that he is one of two agents who handled a confidential informant who infiltrated an armed extremist group called the Wolverine Watchmen that is at the center of the alleged kidnapping plot. On Wednesday, a defendant in the case, Ty Garbin, was sentenced to 75 months in prison after pleading guilty and agreeing to cooperate.

Until its website was taken down, Exeintel described itself as “a group of dedicated professionals working in the shadows of cyberspace to provide actionable counterterrorism intelligence to law enforcement worldwide” and published research notes on groups including al-Qaeda.

Among the first public references to Exeintel was in connection to a terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain, in August 2017 that killed 14 people and injured more than 100 when a man drove a van down Las Ramblas, a popular pedestrian street. Soon thereafter, an online Spanish newspaper reported that Exeintel claimed to have been in direct contact with the terrorists behind the attack weeks beforehand and had warned authorities. A second article identified Chanaga, linking him to Exeintel as its presumptive owner.

Chanaga, who lives outside Dallas, has worked in corporate internet security since the early 2000s. According to his LinkedIn page, he attended the FBI Citizens Academy and is a member of the North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force, among other activities. He has also served as an official for InfraGard, an FBI-funded nonprofit that shares information between the public and private sectors on threats to national security.

He told BuzzFeed News that he was contacted by a Spanish reporter soon after the terrorist attack in Barcelona, but denied knowing anything about the incident. Soon after that article was published, the website for a company owned by Chanaga, Counter Global Defense LLC, was taken offline. LIke the Exeintel website, it is “excluded” from the Internet Archive.

A Twitter account that hasn’t posted since 2017 and is followed by @ravagiing features a logo identical to the one found on the Exeintel website and its research reports, along with the inscription “Exeintel Group Intelligence Service Counter Global Defense.”

Chanaga acknowledged to BuzzFeed News that Counter Global Defense is one of his companies. It and several others he owns are registered at the same address in Española, New Mexico, as Exeintel LLC, the company registered in the name of the FBI agent. In May 2018, Chanaga applied for trademark protection for Exeintel, listing it as a company that provides “intelligence and information to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies relating to organized crime networks,” federal records show.

Despite Chanaga’s denial of any connection between the trademark he owns and the entity by the same name, federal records show that at the time he applied for the trademark, he submitted a screenshot of the Exeintel website as evidence that it was already being used by him in commerce. The @ravagiing account links to the same site, as do other Twitter accounts identifying themselves as connected to Exeintel.

New Mexico Secretary of State records show that Exeintel LLC was registered in Chambers’ name in April 2019 at the same address as Chanaga’s companies and using the same third-party registered agent. Its purpose, records show, is to “operate as an Internet intelligence company.” Chambers’ mailing address in the filing is a PO Box at a UPS Store in Clarkston, Michigan, not far from the FBI’s Detroit field office. A review of public records found no other companies in the US or the UK registered under the name Exeintel.

According to FBI policy, agents need formal permission to have any job outside the bureau or to own a business. The FBI did not comment as to whether Chambers had received such approval.

Emails and encrypted texts reviewed by BuzzFeed News show that Chambers, as far back as 2015, appeared to be in direct communication with individuals who described themselves as ISIS hunters, seeking information about the online activity of suspected terrorists.

In response to a Freedom of Information Act request seeking documents about Exeintel, the FBI said it was “unable to identify records responsive to your request.”

When the crew of the U.S. Navy Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine, the USS Colorado (SSBN-753), pick up a U.S. Navy SEAL team off Pakistan's coast, the Colorado receives an order to launch nuclear ballistic missiles at Pakistan.

Colorado's Commanding Officer, Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher), asks for confirmation of the firing order because the orders were received through a legacy Cold War secondary communication channel, only to be used in the event that Washington, D.C. has already been destroyed. After confirming Washington's continued existence and refusing to fire the missiles until the command is sent through the proper system, Chaplin is relieved of command by the Deputy Secretary of Defense William Curry, and the Colorado's second in command, Lieutenant Commander Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman), is given command instead. When Kendal also questions the orders and asks for confirmation, the vessel is fired upon by the Virginia-class attack submarine USS Illinois (SSN-786). Two nuclear missile strikes are subsequently made on Pakistan by other U.S. submarines.

Realizing they have been declared enemies of their own country, the Colorado seeks refuge on the island of Sainte Marina (a fictional French island located in the Indian Ocean) and commandeer a NATO communications and early missile warning facility. When a pair of B-1 bombers is sent to attack the submarine and island, Chaplin launches a Trident nuclear missile towards Washington, D.C. to impress upon the national leadership that he's serious. The B-1s turn away at the last minute, but Chaplin (who has altered the missile's final target coordinates) allows the missile to visibly overfly Washington, D.C. and explode 200 miles (320 km) beyond in the open Atlantic, the explosion clearly visible from both Washington and New York City. Via a television feed to the media, he then declares a 200-mile exclusion zone around Sainte Marina.

Now, the crew must find a way to prove their innocence and find out who in the U.S. government has set them up, so they can finally return home.

As the series progresses, Chaplin finds himself having to become a reluctant ally with China, while trying to keep his own crew, led by Chief of the Boat Joseph Prosser (Robert Patrick), from rebelling against him. Thousands of Afghans are streaming into the United States, and after all, it’s our duty to come to the aid of those who helped us over there, right? Sure. But are the people who are coming in really the ones who helped us? Not in every case. Defense One reported Tuesday that “security screeners at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar have detected that at least one of the Afghans who was evacuated from Kabul Airport has potential ties to ISIS, a U.S. official confirmed to Defense One.”

This official added that “there’s certainly been a number of them” who triggered alerts. Defense One notes that “the Defense Department’s Automated Biometric Identification System has flagged up to 100 of the 7,000 Afghans evacuated as prospective recipients of Special Immigration Visas as potential matches to intelligence agency watch lists, a second official said.”

Most of those who are flagged are eventually cleared, but the first official acknowledged that one evacuee “looks like a potential member of ISIS. They’re still working that through.” That is, they’re working through what a Biden administration official called “robust security processing.” The administration official claimed: “That process involves biometric and biographic security screenings conducted by our intelligence, law enforcement and counterterrorism professionals who are working quite literally around the clock to vet all these Afghans before they’re allowed into the United States.”

Yes, they’re certain to do a bang-up job. Another official familiar with the process admitted: “CBP on the ground has old tech and they don’t know how to use it, integrate it.” Even worse, “there’s not enough people to process” all of the refugees.
