Pretty mediocre indeed, and overly reliant on HB references even if most of them were just quick visual gags. It didn't even have that solid of a focus. People say it's a Blue Falcon movie featuring Scooby-Doo, but frankly even he didn't have that much focus. It was more a Dick Dastardly movie than anything, he's the only one with a clear motivation and character arc.

The trail hasn't gone cold. If you just search around a bit you shouldn't have much trouble finding us.

He was on Shock Waves a couple months ago and he was open about his writing process being going in blind and seeing where the story takes him. Which almost never leads to good endings. Just look at King. Bunn seems like a genuinely cool guy and has a clear knowledge and love of horror but he's not a great writer.

In terms of replacing? Sure just an aesthetic change. Which I think speaks to the versatility to the character. Even if you changed her skin color it wouldn't really matter. Which dark skinned catwoman has proven to be asthetically pleasing at the very least.

The most meaningful thing you could actually change is her backstory overall. Giving it an African American aesthetic to the general idea of temptation of crime, oppressive classism, gang violence, the temptation of falling back onto bad habits once gone clean, racism [mainly pertaining how blacks treat other races especially whites], basic lesson that bad people in all walks of life exist regardless of race/sex/nationality,

There's a fuckton of things you can teach if the characters is of a black skin color and it ironically colors the lessons taught for the more biased people. White skin color just don't suffer from it because no one gives a shit and there's no baggage inherent to it. Most current year writers know that blacks and to an extent muslims are absolute cancer to write for because of the sheer number of idiotic opportunists involved. Even another black person involved in it can't write for it because the people invested aren't into writing good stories. They just want to complain. And gain a job from doing it.

I didn't like season 4 either. And I just didn't care for Bojack's mother's backstory (was that also 4?), because that didn't change the status quo. Just because she had a shitty life didn't make her a better person in the end. Todd's asexuality arc went nowhere, its like they tried something and failed.

I think the preachiness was good advice though. If you can't relate to an issue though, it became annoying. Sure, I was depressed, and I couldn't get shit done (and still really can't) but I just couldn't relate to the whats-her-name author. She was an asshole to everyone and turned out to be weaker than Bojack, not looking for help. I don't hate her as a character, but I lack empathy in the end.

In the end, the most feel-good moments of the show to me were Princess Carolin's ending and the pic in your post. And the way the ending was handled. Doing nothing was the right decision.

Yes, I recommend them. The cgi movies are very close to the older incarnations they don't push very hard with pop culture unlike the live action movies.

I saw "City of Gods" (not the one about kids killing each other in Brazil lol) two days ago. Yeah, that one was actually good.

The style was well translated to 3D. The movie wasn't destroyed by shoehorning current shit in (instead, the story itself is kinda current, the higher costs for flats, moving away from the city etc.). The pacing was really good, although there's always another issue coming up to stretch the runtime which at some point became obvious. The Romans actually use latin quotes like in the comics, which they didn't even do in the older cartoon movies.

The movie actually benefits from 3D.

Everyone was charming, and I loved how they turned Caesar into a diabolic villain who seems to be the only serious guy in the movie.
