It's really great in some ways while VERY disappointing in others. Like most of the works I've read of him he just gets tired by the end and just rush some crappy ending.

He was on Shock Waves a couple months ago and he was open about his writing process being going in blind and seeing where the story takes him. Which almost never leads to good endings. Just look at King. Bunn seems like a genuinely cool guy and has a clear knowledge and love of horror but he's not a great writer.
