I'm currently setting up a news site dedicated to reporting on and documenting new ROM dump releases. I'm having a hard time thinking of a name for it though.

What do you guys think it should be called?

It it turned out that somehow it was the quotations I was using. I have no idea how it registers two different kinds of ", but some browsers do not like certain ones while others don't seem to give a fuck. Just thought I'd share it if that might come up as a problem for you down the line.

I think within the next day or so, I'll design some images for the buttons to make them look better. I am not good at pixel art though. At all. So be warned.

Also, what would be a reasonable size for them? As I said, I am not good with pixel art.

Depends on the purpose and if it requires its own text to understand what clicking it does. For example, something I've been working at uses a set of small 16x16 flags to toggle the displayed cover art and associated label above them; if you ask me, the utility there is inherently known without needing further descriptions within the toggle itself.

Assuming you're using <button> at present, you cannot have an image background as an attribute for that element. You can fake a button instead by wrapping an image in an anchor so as to give it similar functionality calls. You might also consider just looking at what attributes you can set to the toggles' element so as to simply change the colors to fit the existing color scheme.

Has anyone here ever heard of a game called "Freddy: The Fantastic Frog's Frogging Out"? It was developed by a (presumably) German company named The Merging Minds for the Amiga.

There is very little information online about this game and its developers. From what I could gather, Freddy's gameplay is somewhat similar to Frogger, if the German magazine where I found out about it is anything to go by. As for the company itself, they worked with several publishers and are known to have developed three games. Those being the aforememtioned Freddy: The Fantastic Frog's Frogging Out for the Amiga (currently undumped as far as I know), Solius The Sorcerer for the Amiga (dumped for years), and Dan Burry: Jump & Run for MS-DOS (dumped recently). It's possible that they developed more games, but I could not find much more info beyond what I already wrote.

Does anyone here have any more information on this game or the company that developed it?

Here's the magazine in case anyone wants it: https://archive.org/details/Aktueller_Software_Markt_-_Ausgabe_1991.11/page/n158

Ever wonder what the best version of a game is, or if the version you are playing is worthwhile compared to other ports? Wonder no more! Starting with 3rd gen consoles, I'm making definitive lists of every official US release for the console, with notation on if that version is the best or if a better version exists elsewhere. I'm sticking to English releases, and versions that can be played in English either officially or through a translation patch. If a superior Japanese only release exists, I note it as such. I typically favor arcade releases, but in some cases the home port is superior.

You could start with SMT1 (SNES, I don't recommend starting with SMT2, also SNES, since it's a sequel to 1) but it's not going to be easy and it can be downright obtuse at times.

KMT (SNES remake of Megaten 1 and 2) is not very fun.

3. The Legend of Zelda
4. Metroid
5. Kid Icarus

Board seems pretty dead, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone knows of a fix for Daggerfall's broken racial adjustment. The TES MMO shit is making it a massive pain in the ass to find results actually related to TES2.

I know I could use an editor to manually adjust attributes after the fact to reflect racial modifiers, but I don't want to have to do that every time I make a new character.

You'll probably have better luck on half-chan's /vr/ if you want a Mother thread. Kumatorafags don't post there.
