We are all focused on getting diversity and we have to get there. But we also have a lot of big jobs to fill in the next few months and I think we have to try to slow down our process.

We have a handful of people right now and given the leaks that are occurring in the last week, I actually think we have to shut down the process now to the 1-2 essential posts that need filling soon and build the diverse team we need from there.

These stories will only matter/hurt us if we keep pushing hard and get too much chatter out there.

I think we have to settle on what roles need to be filled immediately and limit our activity to that. If we can create a "silent period" for a couple of weeks and possibly slow down the press appetite we can buy ourselves some space to fill in the team we want and need. This would starving the beast instead of feeding it.

I think as we continue to search, we have to one person assigned to each post, talking to only the people we need to talk and expand that search process when we run into a dead end. It seems clear that multiple people talking to multiple people is not a strategy for containment and containment has to be a top priority for the next six weeks I think.

We face risks with either approach but I think we have seen what happens when we're all reaching out and I don't' think that's getting us where we want.

Botulism is a serious illness caused by a natural toxin that attacks the nervous system, potentially leading to paralysis and death. Shallow, stagnant water creates the ideal conditions for the toxin to spread. Infected birds often show symptoms such as weakness, lethargy, and an inability to walk, fly, or hold their heads up. While exact numbers are difficult to determine, officials estimate that between 75,000 and 80,000 birds have died from botulism at the refuge. The only thing that will halt the spread is the return of rain and cooler weather, as botulism thrives in warm, stagnant water

The Malaysian High Court was informed last week that a staggering $2.4 million in stolen funds was diverted from the scandal-plagued 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) sovereign wealth fund, into the accounts of celebrity Kim Kardashian and musician Pharrell Williams, who is also men’s creative director at Louis Vuitton, through fugitive businessman Jho Low’s shell company, Good Star Ltd.

According to The Star, Richard Templeman, a financial fraud investigator, made the revelation as part of his testimony in the US$6.59 billion lawsuit brought by 1MDB against former Treasury Secretary-General Tan Sri Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah and former 1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy.

Templeman told the High Court that the investigation found, by October 25, 2011, 1MDB had transferred US$1.03 billion to Good Star for the benefit of Low.

“These funds were transferred through a series of offshore companies and used for, inter alia, the personal benefit of the co-conspirators and their relatives and associates”, he detailed in his witness statement.

Templeman explained that from the billions flowing through Good Star, $2,025,000 was moved to a Suntrust Bank account under the name of Talamasca Inc. Transactions between August 11 and November 17, 2011, were noted as “part payment for music production” and “Letter of Agreement DD 3 NOV 2011 Red Spring Investments And Talamasca/Pharrell Williams.”

“I note that publicly available information links Talamasca Inc. with musician Pharrell Williams,” Templeman was quoted as saying. However, he added, “I have no further information regarding this transfer of funds.”

The Star also reported Templeman as revealing that further sums were paid from Good Star to various entities, including US$306,000 to reality TV star Kim Kardashian and another US$100,000 to Kardashian and her then-husband Kris Humphries.

CR (TwiX) Squatters have taken over a nearly 10,000 square foot, $6.5 million mansion in Hollywood Hills in CA.

According to locals, the squatters are attacking locals and are spreading their “artwork” to other properties now that the mansion is completely covered.

The home belongs to the son of the Philadelphia Phillies owner who obviously no longer lives at the home.

“Every time we call, the police will come and they’ll clear it out, and then within an hour or two, five more people are there and staying the night,” a local said.

One local said a homeowner in the area was attacked with a “steel rebar and beer bottle.”

The squatters started taking the home over a couple years ago and the problem is only getting worse.

“The police told us they are tied because it’s still owned by the homeowner, so it’s stuck in limbo land.”

In response Chicago's teachers have been instructed to pass every illegal alien with at least a 70% - this sort of 'social promotion' is robbing these children of an education.
