Mr. Cohen doesn’t address the $130,000 but says Mr. Trump vehemently denies any such occurrence. Jan. 18

The Journal reports that Mr. Cohen used a private Delaware company to pay Ms. Clifford in exchange from her signing a nondisclosure agreement. To mask the identities of the people in the agreement, Ms. Clifford is identified as “Peggy Peterson” and Mr. Trump is called “David Dennison.” White House spokesman Raj Shah, when asked by members of the press about Ms. Clifford, says this allegation was “asked and answered during the campaign.”
