Pentagon spokesman John Kirby "Deliberately Vague" About the Number of Americans Evac'ed From Afghanistan

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby on Monday was very vague about the number of Americans who have been extricated from Afghanistan.

Kirby said “several thousand” Americans have been evacuated from Kabul, however he refused to give a specific number.

CBS reporter David Martin grilled John Kirby and asked him why he’s being “deliberately vague” about his numbers.

“Were you being deliberately vague when you said the number of Americans was ‘several thousand’ or was it because you’re not sure of the number?” David Martin said. “That’s the most important number…the number of Americans.. can you check the number, or if you’re being deliberately vague, tell me why you’re being deliberately vague.”

Rep. Cheney wants to stay In Afghanistan and train locals in counterterrorism

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) agreed with President Biden claiming that it’s not the not the United States’ job to build a democracy in Afghanistan. Instead, she’d like to see locals trained to counter terrorism in the region. Cheney appeared on NBC Sunday.

First, Host Chuck Todd pointed out that a similar effort failed in Vietnam. Yet Cheney remains hopeful that successful institutions can still be built in Afghanistan.

“There’s no question that there were mistakes. There were strategies that were pursued that didn’t work, strategies that were pursued that didn’t have the resources they needed,” Cheney admitted. “But for the United States to be in a position where we need to ensure Afghanistan is not a safe haven, that means that we’ve got to provide the support necessary to continue to have the Afghans bear the brunt of the fight. It means that we’ve got to help to build the institutions that can withstand, you know, the Al Qaeda and the Taliban threat that continues.”

Biden’s said something similar last week, when he claimed that Afghans aren’t willing to fight for themselves. In the same breath, Biden said the mission was “never supposed to be nation-building,” or “unifying.” Instead, it was about “preventing another terrorist attack on American homeland.”

President Biden's decision to withdraw has not only damaged the United States in Afghanistan. It has damaged us globally.

Meanwhile Cheney called former President Trump’s deal with the Taliban a “surrender.” “We completely undercut the Afghan national government, we absolutely emboldened the Taliban,” Cheney said. “And that led us to the catastrophe today.” However she admitted “there’s no question” Biden also could’ve gotten out of the agreement.

On Saturday, the Kentucky Supreme Court ruled in a case surrounding laws passed by the General Assembly limiting what the governor can do independently in a state of emergency.

The Court found in a narrowly tailored opinion that the laws were valid exercises of the General Assembly’s legislative power.

The case was remanded back to the trial court to dissolve an injunction against those laws and to consider underlying constitutional questions which the Supreme Court did not resolve.

Beshear on Monday rescinded his school mask mandate, issued in early August under a declared state of emergency.

It’s unclear whether he was legally compelled to do so given the vagaries in the Supreme Court’s ruling, but doing so may have prefigured a willingness to work with the General Assembly on a new emergency declaration.

Republican leaders have said they will work with Beshear on such a declaration.

A separate mask mandate only covering public schools remains in effect. It was passed by the Kentucky Board of Education under separate statutory authority.

An investigation launched by a team of lawyers and experts into the use of midazolam during the Covid-19 pandemic has now concluded in line with how matters should be conducted by the police. The team now has an extensive list of questions that they have put forward to the Government and its advisors, and will proceed with a private criminal prosecution if they do not get the answers they need.

In March 2020 the British people were ordered to stay at home, to protect the NHS, and save lives. But in reality the evidence suggests that the British people were ordered to stay at home, so the NHS could give midazolam to the elderly and vulnerable and pretend that they were Covid-19 deaths.

Here’s a quick run-down of some of the evidence –

Midazolam is a commonly used drug in palliative care, think of it as diazepam on steroids.

Midazolam is also a drug that has been used in executions by lethal injection in the USA.

UK regulators state that you should only receive midazolam in a hospital or doctor’s office that has the equipment that is needed to monitor your heart and lungs and to provide life-saving medical treatment quickly if your breathing slows or stops.

This is because Midazolam can cause serious or life-threatening breathing problems such as shallow, slowed, or temporarily stopped breathing that may lead to permanent brain injury or death.

At the start of the alleged Covid-19 pandemic Matt Hancock ordered a two year supply of Midazolam and then went back to France for more.

This was confirmed in a parliamentary committee meeting which included Hancock, Professor Van Tam, and Tory MP; Dr Luke Evans, who said a “good death” needs three things, one of those things being Midazolam.

At the same time Hancock and the Government changed the law on the certification of deaths under the guise of the coronavirus act.

And the law on cremations; removing the need for a confirmatory medical certificate.

And the law on indemnity for health service activity.

And the law on visiting loved ones in care homes; which was banned.

April and May 2020 saw a huge spike in deaths occurring in care homes, many were attributed to Covid-19.

In late 2020 the Care Quality Commission found 34% of Health and Social Care workers said they had felt pressured to place ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ orders on care home residents without informing the resident or their loved ones.

An Amnesty report also found the blanket use of DNR orders in Care homes.

The two-year supply of Midazolam purchased at the beginning of the alleged pandemic was gone by October.

US F-15 Jet Shot Down Iranian Drone After Getting 'Too Close' To US Bases In Syria

On Sunday a US military spokesman announced that an enemy drone had been shot down over eastern Syria as it flew near the vicinity of American troops. The incident happened Saturday, but with details slow to emerge by the next day which included a US F-15 fighter jet engaging the drone in the air.

US Army Colonel Wayne Marotto said, "Coalition aircraft successfully engaged and defeated a UAS through air-to-air engagement in the vicinity of Mission Support Site Green Village," while a Fox News journalist separately alleged it was an Iranian UAV based on US defense sources. Citing officials, Fox Pentagon correspondent Lucas Tomlinson reported Sunday: "U.S. Air Force F-15E shot down Iranian drone over eastern Syria yesterday after flying ‘too close’ to some of the 900 U.S. troops deployed there."

If accurate, this would be a rare moment of direct action between US troops in Syria and the Iranians - given typically such engagements typically happen via Iranian proxies, especially the Tehran-backed Iraqi popular mobilization units. Over the past year the Pentagon has said troops in the region have increasingly seen hostile Iraqi Shia paramilitary activity, so this latest incident likely could have involved these militias flying the drone across the border and near where US forces are occupying Syria. However, Iranian units are also known to have long been supporting the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria - so the drone could have possibly been sent from within Syrian territory.

Ostensibly the US forces are there as part of an ongoing 'counter-ISIS' mission, yet under President Trump it was made clear that America would "secure the oil" - a mission which by all appearances has definitely continued under Biden, with the President recently even suggesting more troops might be needed in eastern Syria.

As Pentagon's Afghan Debacle Unfolds, Russia Announces Joint War Drills With China & Iran In Gulf

At a moment much of the world sees the US in 'retreat' from central Asia amid the ongoing Afghan evacuation debacle, it increasingly looks like Russia and China are stepping in as the next great power influencers in the region. The timing of a Russian announcement detailing upcoming joint military exercises appears geared toward sending just such a message.

"Russia, Iran and China will hold joint maritime exercises in the Persian Gulf around late 2021 or early 2022, Russia's ambassador to Tehran said, the RIA news agency reported on Monday," according to Reuters. It's been no secret that the Russian and Chinese militaries have grown closer over the past years, but rarer still are major drills involving the superpowers plus Iran, and centered in the Persian Gulf - site of recent soaring tensions which lately included Iranian commandos briefly seizing a foreign tanker, as well as the drone attack of the Israeli-managed 'Mercer Street' tanker off the coast of Oman on July 30.

Russia's ambassador to Tehran, Levan Jagaryan, confirmed the games in Monday statements, saying "Russian, Iranian and Chinese warships are taking part in it." He added, "The main aim is to practice actions on ensuring international shipping safety, and combating sea pirates." The Russian official also addressed the recent tanker incidents of this summer: "There are tensions indeed, especially following the tanker incidents in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, but I would not be dramatic and say that the situation is more acute now than during previous crises. Neither Iran nor its Arab neighbors are interested in further escalation."

The Islamic Republic has of late seen growing military ties with Russia, given also just last month Iran sent a pair of warships all the way to Saint Petersburg to participate in a major naval parade at the invitation of Russia. As the Iranian ships - known to also have elite IRGC Quds force commandoes on board - traveled up Africa's West Coast, there was unfounded speculation in Western media that they were actually headed toward Venezuela.

Previously these three unlikely allies have held drills in the Indian Ocean, starting a couple years ago, which corresponded to all three countries coming under increasing Washington sanctions.

Japan sends SDF aircraft to Afghanistan for evacuations

Japan on Monday dispatched Self-Defense Forces aircraft to Afghanistan to evacuate Japanese nationals and local staff working for the Japanese Embassy there and other organizations amid the political crisis after the Taliban militant group seized power in the country.

One C-2 transport aircraft left for a third country, which the government has declined to name, and two C-130 planes are expected to depart Tuesday. Up to several hundred people will be evacuated in the mission, a diplomatic source said. It will be the first time the SDF has evacuated foreign nationals from a country, according to the Defense Ministry. "Securing the safety of Japanese people (in Afghanistan) is our top priority, and we also deem it important to secure the safety of local staff of the embassy and JICA remaining there as they include those who wish to leave the country," the top government spokesman, Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato, said. It will be the first time the SDF has evacuated foreign nationals from a country, according to the Defense Ministry.

"Securing the safety of Japanese people (in Afghanistan) is our top priority, and we also deem it important to secure the safety of local staff of the embassy and JICA remaining there as they include those who wish to leave the country," the top government spokesman, Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato, said. The three SDF aircraft will initially stand by at an airport in a third country near Afghanistan, the ministry said. As soon as coordination is made with U.S. forces in Afghanistan, which have taken control of the airport, the two C-130s will make round trips for evacuations.

The C-2 plane is carrying equipment, supplies and hundreds of personnel from the Ground and Air Self-Defense forces. Most of the staff will be based in the third country, according to the ministry. As for the duration of the operation, Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi said he expects it to continue until the end of the month when the United States plans to pull its military out from Afghanistan. Bannon’s explosive comments came during an episode on his War Room podcast, where he tore into Joe Biden and his administration for repeated failures that have greatly damaged the country.

“I’m a big supporter of the [former] president coming in and being the Speaker of the House for at least 100 days after we have the sweeping victory in 2022 to start a formal impeachment process on Biden with real facts and real receipts because it’s not going to start until that time,” Bannon began.

“But I think something more important has to be done right now. You’ve heard about these meetings President Trump’s had with some of those former cabinet members up in Bedminster. But you’ve got Peter Navarro around; you got Steve Cortes around. You have other people,” he said.

“I think right now President Trump’s got to be putting together more of a formal body to work with him almost on a daily basis to start looking at and countering – we’ve got to stop – this illegitimate regime from destroying the country as they spin out of control – and quite frankly, spin off the stage,” he added.

“Because that’s what’s going to happen. They’re spinning off the stage on multiple deep crises: invasion of the Southern border, this economic plan, this embrace of modern monetary theory where they’re trying to add $6 trillion of debt,” Bannon declared.

“And remember, the debt ceiling is going to be a firestorm in September when they come back, just like right now, the vaccines at the schools. But I do think we need [what the] British call a shadow government, a government that you have – a government in the parliamentary system,” he added.

“You have a government, and you also have – and we’re not a parliamentary system – but you have a government that’s sitting there ready to jump in case elections are called in 30 days. I think a more formal – and I think you’re going to see this tonight. I think President Trump is already leaking in The Daily Mail. He’s sitting here going, ‘You need leadership in the White House today,'” Bannon continued.

“You need leadership. We’ve said for a long time, this is like the 1930s, and we are inexorably being drawn into a kinetic war. The Chinese Communist Party is already an information cyberwar with us, they’re at economic war with us,” he said.

Bannon concluded: “And now, as you see, they tighten their grip on the Eurasian landmass with their other criminal partners: the mullahs in Iran, now the Taliban, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan. You see them trying to control the Eurasian landmass. And now they got their eyes. The transnational criminal organization has its eyes on Taiwan.”
