He said the system for submitting documents electronically was "full of glitches" and said his own claim had been delayed because his case worker left the scheme.

In response, the Scottish Government said it had made changes to the system to allow applications to progress before a case worker is allocated and said it was increasing the support offered to claimants.

In 2001, perhaps the most important article ever written about Jeffrey Epstein was published. The article, which focused mainly on Ghislaine Maxwell’s and Epstein’s relationship with Prince Andrew, was published on January 22, 2001, in London’s Evening Standard. The article, written by Nigel Rosser, was never retracted and was published well before Epstein’s first arrest and the onset of his public notoriety. It has, nevertheless, since been removed from the Evening Standard’s website and can now only be found on professional newspaper databases. I made a PDF of that article and several other scrubbed Epstein-related articles publicly available in October 2019.

Key statements made in the article make it clear why it was removed from the internet, apparently in the wake of Epstein’s first arrest in Florida. Rosser introduces Epstein as “an immensely powerful New York property developer and financier,” a nod to Epstein’s past in the New York real estate market. Later in the article, he notes that Epstein “once claimed to have worked for the CIA although he now denies it,” one of several likely reasons why the article was removed from the internet well before Epstein’s second arrest in 2019.

Much of the article notes the closeness of Epstein and Maxwell to Prince Andrew and suggests that both wielded considerable influence over the prince, largely due to Maxwell’s role as his “social fixer.” It states that Maxwell was “manipulating” the prince and that “the whole Andrew thing is probably being done for Epstein.”

Just minutes before President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, a British newspaper received an anonymous call about “some big news” in the US, according to newly released documents.

A memo to the director of the FBI revealed that the call was made to the senior reporter at the Cambridge News at 6:05 p.m. Nov. 22, 1963, the day Kennedy was shot in Dallas.

The missive from CIA counterintelligence chief James Angleton read: “The British Security Service (MI-5) has reported that at 1805GMT on 22 November an anonymous telephone call was made in Cambridge, England, to the senior reporter of the Cambridge News.

“The caller said only that the Cambridge News reporter should call the American Embassy in London for some big news and then hung up,” the news outlet reported Friday.

According to the document, dated four days after the assassination, MI5 calculated that the call came about 25 minutes before Kennedy was shot as he rode in a presidential motorcade in Dealey Plaza.

The memo was included in a batch of more than 2,800 declassified documents released Thursday to satisfy a 25-year deadline set forward by the Oct. 25, 1992, enactment of the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act.

YouTube has restricted Sky News Australia’s channel for a week and deleted several of its videos as part of a new crackdown on COVID ‘misinformation’.

It comes after Sky host Alan Jones was dropped from his column in News Corp’s Daily Telegraph and heavily criticised by former 2GB Radio colleague Ray Hadley following controversial comments on lockdowns and the pandemic.

Despite a relatively small television audience on Foxtel, Sky News Australia has one of the biggest YouTube channels in the country, with 1.86 million subscribers.

By comparison, ABC News has 1.42 million, 9 News Australia 767,000 and 7 News Australia 542,000.

Sky’s YouTube channel published dozens of videos every day, from short news bulletin clips to longer interviews and editorial segments from its ‘after dark’ conservative opinion programs.

But despite an active YouTube presence, Sky News Australia hasn’t published a video on the platform since July 29.

In a statement to The New Daily, a spokesperson for Google-owned YouTube said the channel had been given a “strike” for posting videos that the platform claimed constituted “misinformation” about COVID.

That strike means the channel is restricted from posting new videos for seven days.

You are more resilient than you think. The message from mental health experts is that life in lockdown has been hard for most and misery for some. But the Covid pandemic has done its worst and humanity has survived. Developed nations where the virus took hold early are reaching high levels of vaccination, which should mean an end to the most restrictive public health containment policies. While Australia is playing catch-up, vaccination rates are rising as state governments allow younger people to access vaccines. All of this is good news for thumping Covid and giving hope where mutual suspicion has reigned for too long.

It takes a Christian with chutzpah to bet on Christmas. But the Prime Minister has set his sights on opening the country in time for Santa. On Friday, he met with the national cabinet to hatch a plot against Covid’s grip on power. Armed with modelling from the Doherty Institute, cabinet set vaccination thresholds for charting a path out of the pandemic. When 70 per cent of the population is fully vaccinated, lockdowns will become less likely, some international arrivals will be permitted and vaccinated residents will enjoy greater freedoms such as reduced quarantine requirements.

At about 80 per cent, lockdowns will be “highly targeted”; vaccinated residents will have greater freedom of movement and be permitted to travel internationally. Last week, Canada’s Liberal Party headed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau proposed new legislation to criminalize “hate speech” online, punishable by a $50,000 fine (roughly $40,000 U.S.D.), paid to the government. Government officials, including the attorney general and the minister of public safety, announced the new bill on Wednesday.

“Canadians expect their government to take action against hate speech and hate crimes. These legislative changes would improve the remedies available to victims of hate speech and hate crimes, and would hold individuals accountable. The actions we are taking today will help protect the vulnerable, empower those who are victimized and hold individuals to account for the hatred they spread online,” David Lametti, minister of justice and attorney general, said in a statement.

Lametti introduced amendments to Canada’s Criminal Code, the Canadian Human Rights Act, and the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Lametti and his allies justified their Orwellian move by claiming that “hate speech” online can turn into “offline hate.”

July 1, 2021 (Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms) – The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms has launched an appeal at the Federal Court of Appeal about the decision of Chief Justice Paul Crampton, that ruled mandatory quarantine hotels and quarantine facilities are constitutional.

The appeal states that Justice Crampton erred in law and fact in finding that the forced detention of returning Canadians in federal facilities do not breach the Charter rights and freedoms of Canadians. The Justice Centre further asserts that the Chief Justice Paul Crampton erred in law by making findings that went beyond the scope of the evidence and the issues that were before the Court in making additional, conclusionary findings that “principles of fundamental justice would permit the imposition of stronger border control measures including longer period of quarantine at the border.”

Claus Kleber vom heute-journal sagte einmal sinngemäß, es wäre doch Unsinn zu behaupten, seine Berichterstattung wäre gesteuert, schließlich riefe ihn niemand in der Redaktion an, um ihm zu sagen, was er berichten soll. Das stimmt sicherlich, aber andererseits wissen er und andere Journalisten sehr genau, was sie berichten sollten, wenn sie den Job auch weiterhin machen wollen. Da braucht es natürlich keinen täglichen Anruf „von oben.“

Aber die „Qualitätsmedien“ bekommen auch reichlich Unterstützung, damit sie berichten, was gewünscht wird. Alleine das Pentagon hat über 27.000 Mitarbeiter, deren einzige Aufgabe darin besteht, Nachrichten zu produzieren, die dann über Nachrichtenagenturen den Weg in unsere Nachrichten finden (wenn das für Sie neu ist, lesen Sie hier die Details nach). Das ist per Definition Propaganda, und Claus Kleber hat kein Problem damit, diese Meldungen aus dem Pentagon als Nachrichten zu verkünden.

Natürlich gibt es auch private Produzenten von Nachrichten, und in diesem Zusammenhang bin ich auf eine interessante Organisation gestoßen, die in Prag sitzt und sich rühmt, dass ihre Artikel in 506 verschiedenen Medien in 156 Ländern und 64 Sprachen publiziert werden. Das ist also eine gewaltige Maschinerie, die die Meinungen von Millionen Menschen weltweit durch ihre Berichte beeinflusst und von der trotzdem kaum jemand je etwas gehört hat. Der Name dieser Organisation ist „Project Syndicate“

The saga of Pastor Artur Pawlowski has taken another twist, with guards at the Calgary Remand Centre refusing to honour a judge's decision to release the pastor from jail.

Rebel News boss Ezra Levant shared the limited details in a post Monday evening on Twitter.

Having spoken with the lawyers representing Pastor Artur Pawlowski in this legal fight, which can be supported at SaveArtur.com, it was learned that guards at the Remand Centre were demanding that the judge, Justice Adam Germain, issue individual orders for the pastor and his brother, Dawid Pawlowski.

Guards at the facility also insisted that Pastor Artur's brother's name was spelled incorrectly, claiming that it was spelled “David.”

The Pawlowski brothers are immigrants to Canada from Poland, where the name David is commonly spelled with a “w” in place of the anglicized spelling using the letter “v.”

In an earlier interview with Rebel News' Adam Soos, Pastor Artur's lawyer Sarah Miller was told that the brothers set to be released around 4 p.m. local time in Calgary.

Saturday, Chris Scott of the Whistle Stop Cafe held a protest rally in the "freedom park" adjacent to his now chained-up gas station/convenience store/restaurant.

Chris has been leading the restaurant rebellion in Alberta against the lockdown restrictions here since he reopened his restaurant in defiance of public health orders back in January.

Saturday's act of free speech and free assembly landed Chris in jail before the night was over.

Thursday afternoon, Alberta Health Services appeared before a judge in Calgary and received a secret restraining order against Chris Scott, Glen Carritt of United We Roll, and unnamed Jane and John Does — so that's everybody else in the province — restricting their ability to organize, participate or promote an illegal public gathering.

That's the Orwellian term the government now uses to describe peaceful assembly and free speech.

The stakes have changed in Alberta.

With the province’s new restrictions limiting outdoor gatherings to just five people, coupled with the province's new restraining order against the Charter rights of every citizen in Alberta, people are no longer risking fines but rather being charged with contempt of court.

The owner of the Whistle Stop Cafe remains in jail tonight after being arrested by RCMP after Alberta Health Services got a restraining order banning political protests.

Chris Scott, the renegade owner of the Whistle Stop Cafe, who reopened his diner in January in defiance of the Alberta government's restrictions on dine-in service, was taken into custody by Bashaw RCMP after a Saturday protest in Mirror, Alberta attracted over 1,500 people.

Scott’s lawyer, Chad Williamson, though known to AHS, was excluded from the Calgary court hearing on Thursday that restrained the rights of Scott, as well as United We Roll organizer Glen Carritt and unnamed Jane and Does from attending, organizing and promoting “illegal public gatherings.”

Current restrictions limit gatherings outdoors to five people.

In a statement to Rebel News, Williamson said:

This case represents a fundamental breach of the principles of justice by the government which has unilaterally and unlawfully trampled the rights of our clients.

Nothwithstanding any statutory provisions, AHS had an absolute duty of disclosure in good faith to notify counsel of their application and a notify the court that Chris and the Whistle Stop had a lawyer.

New Zealand's back-and-forth attitude on whether to call China's Xinjiang policy "genocide" showed that it is struggling to act in line with its "Western identity" while carefully weighing its own interests with China, Chinese experts said.

The New Zealand Parliament unanimously voted for a motion on Wednesday to express grave concern at "severe human rights abuses" against Uygurs in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, calling for the New Zealand government to work with international organizations and partners to end those abuses with all relevant instruments, according to the New Zealand Herald.

However, due to pressure from the Labour Party, the term "genocide" was removed before it was put forward, and some observers saw the subtle changing attitude as signaling much more independence in the country's China policy compared to Australia.

"We should not count on New Zealand to completely drop the Western-led rhetoric on the Xinjiang issue, given the mounting pressure from the US and other major powers. In addition to misleading storytelling about China's Xinjiang, New Zealand is more or less influenced by the overall environment," Chen Hong, a professor and director of the Australian Studies Center at the East China Normal University, told the Global Times on Thursday.

Beijing has blasted the Morrison government for its “insane suppression” of the Australia-China relationship, as it justified its tit-for-tat scuttling of a high-level economic and trade dialogue with Australia.

The suspension of the China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue on Thursday was apparently in retaliation to the Morrison government’s scrapping of Victoria’s Belt and Road deal and came after the announcement of a review of the 99-year lease of the Port of Darwin by Chinese company Landbridge.

It triggered a sell-off of the Australian dollar, stoked anxiety among China-exposed Australian businesses and was followed by a denunciation of the “wildness of Australian politicians” by a Chinese government adviser.
