Westchester County DA Concludes Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Andrew Cuomo are Credible, But Won’t File Charges
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was found to have sexually harassed multiple women, AG Letitia James announced in August after a 4-month investigation into the accusations.
According to NY AG Letitia James, Cuomo violated state and federal law.
James said Cuomo harassed current and former state employees and created a hostile work environment.
Cuomo resigned in disgrace on August 10 amid several criminal investigations into his sexual misconduct.
On Tuesday, Westchester County DA Mimi Rocah announced her office will not be filing charges against Cuomo.
The Westchester County DA’s office investigated two separate allegations against Cuomo and concluded they were credible.
“Our investigation found credible evidence to conclude that the alleged conduct in both instances described above did occur. However, in both instances, my Office has determined that, although the allegations and witnesses were credible, and the conduct concerning, we cannot pursue criminal charges due to the statutory requirements of the criminal laws of New York,” District Attorney Mimi Rocah said in a statement.
“This conclusion is unrelated to any possible civil liability which is beyond the scope of a District Attorney’s jurisdiction, which focuses solely on criminal laws,” she added.

A registered nurse who works for Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) sent out a letter to explain the reasons for his refusal to comply with the protocols and guidelines set forth by the Veterans Administration.
Jerry Bledsoe told The Gateway Pundit that the reason he sent out the letter is to provide the best care for his brothers and sisters seeking care in the Veterans Administration.
Bledsoe believed that by participating in the COVID-19 protocols mandated by the hospital, he will be intentionally doing harm to those individuals who will be placed in his care, thus preventing him to perform his primary duty of advocating for his patients.
“I am not a social media person and I have no ulterior motives besides providing the best care for my brothers and sisters seeking care in the Veterans Administration. I am sure I will be terminated. No one I have spoken with disagrees with my letter but everyone is scared to lose their job pension and they feel that there is nothing that can be done. So far my “admonishment” has been for refusing a direct order, no concern whatsoever about the side effects I have seen from the vaccinations or my arguments to provide early treatment,” said Jerry Bledsoe.
Based on the definitions of terror, terrorism, and coerce as stated in his letter, Bledsoe believed that by complying with the COVID-19 guidelines he would be participating in terrorism.
“The guidelines set forth, create an environment of fear or terror through faulty PCR testing, withholding of or limiting prophylactic or early treatment, the use of harmful medications for inpatient treatment, and vaccine mandates to compel or coerce the population into taking an experimental vaccination. This is a violation of the Nuremberg Code, and I believe it to be terrorism,” said Bledsoe.

A tweet posted last week by a Border Patrol official that included a photo of a man described as a “potential terrorist” was taken down because Customs and Border Protection said it contained “law enforcement sensitive information,” according to a report Tuesday.
Border Patrol Yuma Sector Chief Chris Clem tweeted on Dec. 20 about an unidentified 21-year-old man who had been nabbed near Yuma, Ariz., the week before.
“#USBP #YumaSector agents apprehended a potential terrorist who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico Thursday night,” Clem wrote. “The 21-year-old migrant from Saudi Arabia is linked to several Yemeni subjects of interest. #BorderSecurity is #NationalSecurity.”
CBP spokesman Luis Miranda said in a statement to Fox News that the posting was removed because “it contained law enforcement sensitive information, violating agency protocols.”
“All individuals encountered at or between U.S. ports of entry are screened and vetted against a broad range of law enforcement and intelligence information to determine if they pose a threat to national security or public safety, consistent with the law,” Miranda’s statement said.
The CBP rep added that the investigation is ongoing and “following its standard protocols.”
”This may include referral, if appropriate, to other relevant law enforcement entities for further investigation and a custody determination,” the statement said.
It didn’t specify what information was considered sensitive.

Some people call them “ghost flights” — federally chartered planes that arrive in the dead of night at airports far from the U.S. border and deep inside the country’s interior. They drop off their cargo of illegal aliens, who are immediately boarded onto waiting buses and distributed who-knows-where. Flight manifests are never made available by the government, even to the contractors who fly the planes for them and especially not to local officials.
On Christmas Day, the Wilkes Barre-Scranton International Airport in Pennsylvania received two such flights, and local Republicans are trying to get to the bottom of it.
“No one was made aware of it. They did their very best to make this very secretive,” Rep. Dan Meuser (R-Penn.) said on NewsMax TV’s National Report on Monday. “Planeloads of underage migrants are being secretly flown into northeast Pennsylvania with the idea of quietly resettling them across the region, and so it’s not just one plane thus far. It’s been four and it is, in fact confirmed. And we are receiving no information at all. I have letters out to Sec. Mayorkas at the Dept. of Homeland Security. We have other calls in to the State Dept.”
Meuser sent a letter to Sec. Mayorkas in which he referred to an earlier ghost flight that had landed in Scranton on Dec. 17. “It is my understanding that a total of 130 immigrants, 118 minors and 12 adults, arrived aboard an iAero charter flight on Friday, Dec. 17, and were subsequently transported on buses from a private hangar,” he wrote. “This flight seems to have occurred without airport officials receiving notice or a passenger manifest.”
On Sunday, Meuser learned that two more flights arrived in Scranton. A fourth flight is scheduled to land on Dec. 30.
“The lack of communication and transparency surrounding this process is unacceptable,” he said. “Your agency failed to notify me or any other local officials of these activities, leaving us unable to answer the concerns of constituents in the communities we represent. Pennsylvanians deserve to know about these decisions affecting their community.”

DA: No charges for Cuomo
Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo won’t face criminal charges stemming from allegations from two women — including a state trooper — that he planted unwanted kisses on their cheeks, a suburban prosecutor said Tuesday. It’s the latest in a series of decisions about whether a raft of sexual assault and harassment claims against Cuomo will end up in criminal court.
Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah said that while there was evidence to conclude the conduct the women described did occur, she couldn’t bring criminal cases over it.
“In both instances, my office has determined that, although the allegations and witnesses were credible, and the conduct concerning, we cannot pursue criminal charges due to the statutory requirements of the criminal laws of New York,” Rocah said in a statement.

A federal jury on Tuesday convicted a prominent Maryland lawyer in a money-laundering conspiracy case but acquitted one of his colleagues and a private investigator who were co-defendants in the trial, authorities said.
Kenneth W. Ravenell, 61, of Monkton, Md., faces up to 20 years in prison. A judge scheduled sentencing for May 14.

In 1876, before setting off from America to Germany to study, William H. Welch, an ambitious young Bostonian, told his sister: “If by absorbing German lore I can get a little start of a few thousand rivals and thereby reduce my competition to a few hundred more or less it is a good point to tally.” Welch did go off to Germany for the coveted Ph.D., a degree which at the time had its actual existence in any practical sense only there, and in due course his ambition was satisfied. Welch became first dean of Johns Hopkins Medical School and, later, chief advisor to the Rockefeller Foundation on medical projects. Welch was one of thousands who found the German Ph.D. a blessing without parallel in late-nineteenth-century America. German Ph.D.’s ruled the academic scene by then.
For an ironic reflection on the success of Prussian educational ideals, take a look at Martin Van Creveld’s Fighting Power (Greenwood Press, 1982). Creveld, the world’s finest military historian, undertakes to explain why German armies in 1914—1918 and 1939—1945, although heavily outnumbered in the major battles of both wars, consistently inflicted 30 percent more casualties than they suffered, whether they were winning or losing, on defense or on offense, no matter who they fought. They were better led, we might suspect, but the actual training of those field commanders comes as a shock. While American officer selection was right out of Frederick Taylor, complete with psychological dossiers and standardized tests, German officer training emphasized individual apprenticeships, week-long field evaluations, extended discursive written evaluations by senior officers who personally knew the candidates. The surprise is, while German state management was rigid and regulated with its common citizens, it was liberal and adventuresome with its elites. After WWII, and particularly after Vietnam, American elite military practice began to follow this German model. Ironically enough, America’s elite private boarding schools like Groton had followed the Prussian lead from their inception as well as the British models of Eton and Harrow.
German elite war doctrine cut straight to the heart of the difference between the truly educated and the merely schooled. For the German High Command war was seen as an art, a creative activity, grounded in science. War made the highest demands on an officer’s entire personality and the role of the individual in Germany was decisive. American emphasis, on the other hand, was doctrinal, fixated on cookbook rules. The U.S. officer’s manual said: “Doctrines of combat operation are neither numerous nor complex. Knowledge of these doctrines provides a firm basis for action in a particular situation.” This reliance on automatic procedure rather than on creative individual decisions got a lot of Americans killed by the book. The irony, of course, was that American, British, and French officers got the same lockstep conditioning in dependence that German foot soldiers did. There are some obvious lessons here which can be applied directly to public schooling.

The omicron variant that’s taking the world by storm is not “the same disease we were seeing a year ago,” a University of Oxford immunologist said, reinforcing reports about the strain’s milder nature.
The strain first discovered at the end of November appears to be less severe and even patients who do end up in the hospital spend less time there, John Bell, regius professor of medicine at Oxford, said on BBC Radio 4’s Today program.
“The horrific scenes that we saw a year ago intensive care units being full, lots of people dying prematurely that is now history in my view, and I think we should be reassured that that’s likely to continue,” Bell said.
Bell’s comments came after the U.K. government said it wouldn’t introduce stricter Covid-19 restrictions in England before the end of the year.
Infections have jumped by more than a quarter of a million in the past week, heaping pressure on Prime Minister Boris Johnson to respond. Health Secretary Sajid Javid late Monday said he’s monitoring the latest data and urged people to be careful, particularly at New Year celebrations.
