Fundraising in the second and first quarter shows that Democrats hold a strong campaign finance advantage in all key races, except Iowa, the New York Times reported, citing new campaign finance filings.

The party's financial picture is complicated by the Maine race, where it had to scramble to find a new nominee following Graham Platner's exit. Republicans also outperformed Democrats in money raised through main party committees and super PACs.

Based on the reporting you mentioned, there’s clearly a factual dispute about where Zach Lahn’s residence is (and whether he meets the “resident of Iowa for at least two years” requirement). But it’s not automatically illegal just because he maintains a Kansas residence—it depends on whether he can be considered an Iowa resident under Iowa’s standard for that constitutional requirement.

I can’t find any public document yet that “proves” he personally met Iowa’s constitutional residency requirement (e.g., a residency affidavit or an official determination transcript from an election-board/court proceeding).

Here are the strongest “qualified candidate” indicators I found:
