Maine Socialist Graham Platner Propped Up by Radical Couple Behind Other Far-Left Politicians
Graham Platner, Maine’s likely Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate,was hand-plucked by a pair of socialist political operatives who sought him out after catching wind of him through the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) network.
After being accused of abusive behavior by women he has dated, wearing a Nazi tattoo for 18 years, sexting several women while married, and a host of other scandals,Platner is now being criticized for the Ivy League-educated radicals behind him.
Daniel Moraff of Yale Law and his fiancée, Leanne Fan of Harvard and University of California-Berkeley, met while working for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in 2020, Politico reported in a December 2025 article titled “Graham Platner Really Might Be Doomed. Pay Attention to Him Anyway.”
Juicy details revealed in that article and related to the topic were highlighted by the New York Post on Friday, with the outlet’sChadwick Moore describing Moraff and Fan as “champagne socialists” and “hardcore members” of the DSA who have previously thrown their support behind Nebraska U.S. Senate hopeful Dan Osborn and “Squad” member and Rep. Summer Lee(D-PA).
The couple had also scouted local union boss Chris Williams for Maine’s Senate race before changing their minds and settling on Platner.
Politico opined that Williams “was going to be Platner before Platner,” with the union leader telling the publication that he had “a skeleton in the closet that wasn’t true that we would’ve had to explain,” so they “decided to go in a different direction.”
Moore wrote that it still “remains to be seen” if Williams’ skeletons are worse than Platner’s, which appear to be emerging practically every day.
Moraff, who owns Dark Forest consulting firm, and Fan tracked down Platner’s mother at her restaurant after hearing his name from some of the same “grassroots progressives” who helped them identify Williams, according to Politico’s Michael Kruse.
“Platner had emerged as a leader of the Downeast activist group Acadia Action,” he wrote, referring to a local DSA-affiliated organization.
The engaged pair visited Ironbound, the eatery owned by Platner’s mom.
“They came to Ironbound knowing I was Graham’s mother,” she told Politico, recounting how she gave them her son’s phone number.
The Post‘s rundown of Moraff’s background illustrated what his impact has been within the Democrat Party:
Moraff cut his political chops in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he had moved after an undergraduate degree in engineering at Brown University. He became a prominent leader in the local DSA chapter, which underwent rapid growth after Donald Trump’s first presidential victory in 2016 and advocates for aggressive action.
His efforts fundamentally remade the Democratic Party in Pittsburgh, local politico Erin Koper told The Post.
“The DSA now is in every corner of local politics. They have been putting up candidates, getting them elected to county council, city council, state rep seats,” said Koper, who ran for city council as a Republican last year.
“The local Democratic committee, which typically leaned pretty traditional Democrat, has been taken over by progressive politics. You can’t even be a moderate now, [the DSA] will completely ruin your political career if you’re a traditional Democrat,” Koper added in her statement to the outlet.
In a now-deleted 2017 essay titled “Want to Elect Socialists? Run Them in Democratic Primaries,” Moraff argued that socialists should overrun the Democrat Party.
“We can adopt a strategy that takes advantage of the low barrier to entry of the Democratic primary, and use those victories to build our own forces — forces that, once strong enough, could plausibly break from the party. Let’s choose that strategy, and start electing socialists,” he wrote in the essay, viewed by the Post.
Despite his seemingly ever-growing pile of controversies, Platner still holds a slight lead over incumbent Sen. Susan Collins (R) in a general election match-up, a recent poll from UMass Lowell shows.
While Maine Gov. Janet Mills (D) suspended her own campaign for the Senate seat, she reminded voters that she will still be listed on the Democrat ballot for next Tuesday’s primary election after Platner became deeply surrounded in controversy.

I think the lack of boobs being posted to thank the baker is evidence that the military has a major presence on this board releasing crumb nuggets of vital information and steering conversations.

The real fraud is the 82 times more H1b visas taking away high paying American jobs in IT, and the same Indians running all our job sites giving Americans the run around. Couple that with their factory jobs sent overseas and 20+ million illegal migrants taking away even the low wage jobs, and your left with American citizens on social programs. There was a concerted effort to defraud the US, and I said it since 911 that jobs and job sites were the second casualty of this war. 25 years later I am proved 100% correct that in fact 7million American jobs have gone to foreigners through an abused H1b program which 90% are fraud, that is not to mention other programs and outsourcing. America lost many years ago. That is not taking into consideration the targeting that some of us went through that has decimated us and destroyed our health. Corporate Special Interest Launches ‘Quiet’ Lobbying Effort to Stop Trump’s Crackdown on Visa Overstays
Corporate special interests, including the ==tech industry and the United States Chamber of Commerce, have launched a “quiet” lobbying effort against President Donald Trump’s crackdown on visa overstays++, the Washington Post reports.
Last month, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a policy memo reiterating that, under “long-standing immigration law and immigration court decisions,”visa holders must apply to adjust status to a green card at consular offices outside the U.S.
“We’re returning to the original intent of the law to ensure aliens navigate our nation’s immigration system properly,” USCIS spokesman Zach Kahlersaid at the time:
From now on, an alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply, except in extraordinary circumstances. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes.When aliens apply from their home country, it reduces the need to find and remove those who decide to slip into the shadows and remain in the U.S. illegally after being denied residency. [Emphasis added]
Inparticular, USCIS is hoping to reduce the nation’s visa overstays by having temporary visa holders return to their native countriesin order to apply for green cards. Prior Department of Homeland Security (DHS) estimates have suggested that about half of the nation’s illegal alien population initially arrived on temporary visas and overstayed.
“Nonimmigrants, like students, temporary workers, or people on tourist visas, come to the U.S. for a short time and for a specific purpose. Our system is designed for them to leave when their visit is over. Their visit should not function as the first step in the Green Card process,” Kahler said.
Since the announcement, the Washington Post reports that theU.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Immigration Forum, and other corporate special interest groups, including tech industry insiders, have launched a lobbying campaign to shield their foreign workforcesfrom the rules set out in the policy memo. (They’ve been doing that for 30-40 years)
The Post reports:
In the ensuing days, multiple private discussions over the phone and emailtook place among prominent businesses, industry groups and CEOs with the White House and the departments of Homeland Security, Labor and State, according to three people familiar with the discussions who spoke on the condition of anonymity to relay private conversations. The quiet but extensive lobbying effort has not been previously reported. [Emphasis added]
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce was among industry groups that pressed administration officials for further guidance and warned of the harms to their workforce last week, according to one of the people. The tech industry expressed concerns to the White House, according to one of the other people.

White House and DHS officials told the Post that the policy memo is designed to make existing law clear that immigration officers can decide on a case-by-case basis whether a visa-holder must return to their home country to apply for a green card.
NumbersUSA’s Jeremy Beck told the Post that the policy memo is critical to disrupting the grip that employers have on foreign visa workers.
“The guidance does threaten to disrupt the captive labor benefit that employers enjoy in programs like the H-1B visa program,” Beck said. “I think what this guidance is doing … is merely exposing some of these long-standing problems with the nonimmigrant system.”

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) lambasted Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) to her face on Wednesday after she claimed President Donald Trump’s administration was targeting immigrant communities.
The war of words erupted during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing when Hirono remarked on the Stop Citizen Abuse and Misrepresentation Act (SCAM Act), Fox News reported Friday. The outlet referred to it as a “denaturalization bill.”
The Democrat senator argued naturalized citizens would face stricter requirements and pointed to the fact she was the only naturalized citizen on the committee.
“I am horrified by the implication that naturalized citizens basically get second-class citizenship… As a naturalized citizen, I’m proud of it. I can’t think of a more undemocratic, un-American thing to do to someone who chooses to become a U.S. citizen than to hold this over their heads and treat us like second-class citizens,” Hirono said, noting the act allowed prosecutions for welfare fraud.

In response, Schmitt highlighted the fact that American citizens have been “ripped off” by people who have come into the United States to target them through fraud and other crimes.
He then accused her of defending murderers, rapists, and fraudsters who have hurt American citizens, stating, “You have nothing but fear-mongering here.”
“What I’m saying in this bill is if you do those things to the American people, if you take advantage of taxpayers… if you commit a terrorist act, if you commit wholesale welfare fraud, within 10 years, you’re damn right we’re deporting you… If you are convicted in a court of law of these crimes, absolutely we should not only convict you, but we should deport you. Gone. And if you think that’s some sort of negative assertion toward me, I’ll take it. I love it,” he said.
“That’s what we should be doing more of in this country because people are coming here and they’re ripping off taxpayers, and I for one don’t want to see it anymore,” Schmitt added:

Meanwhile, a recent national survey showed voters increasingly saw fraud and misuse of taxpayer money as a huge driver of higher costs for families, Breitbart News reported in April.
The Fox article noted, “The Trump administration has claimed that anti-fraud efforts have uncovered billions of dollars, enough to potentially balance the budget.”
In a social media post on Friday, Schmitt said, “Deportations are a great affordability policy for America. Biden’s mass migration flooded the housing market, flooded the labor market, crushed wages, drove up rents, and then acted confused when young Americans couldn’t afford a home. Deportations can reverse it.”

Comet R3 PanSTARRS Through Time
What happens to a comet as it leaves our inner Solar System? Now, the arrival of a comet into the inner Solar System is typically heralded with great fanfare and high hopes that the comet will become bright and photogenic. But on the way out, the comet's nucleus is less warmed by the Sun, less gas and dust are expelled, the bright coma around the nucleus shrinks and fades, and the tail length drops off. Many comets will then return to the outer Solar System and only return in hundreds or thousands of years. In contrast, some comets like Comet C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS) receive a gravitational kick from the planets and so will never return. Pictured, Comet R3 PanSTARRs was imaged deeply many nights in early to mid-May near Cerro Paranal in Chile. Later images appear closer to the top and clearly show the shrinking ion tail.

EU Sanctions IRGC Navy Unit Over Strait of Hormuz Toll System

The European Union has imposed sanctions on two Iranian individuals and one Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy unit over alleged efforts to restrict freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Council of the EU said Monday it listed the Hormozgan Provincial Command of the IRGC Navy, accusing it of helping operate a toll system for vessels transiting the strategic waterway. The EU said vessels have been required to provide identifying documents, cargo details and destination information, which are then used to screen ships and determine whether they can pass, in some cases after paying tolls.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most important maritime chokepoints, handling roughly one-fifth of global oil and LNG trade.
The EU also listed Mohammad Akbarzadeh, deputy commander for political affairs of the IRGC Navy, and Hamid Hosseini, a representative of Iran’s Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters’ Union and a member of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce.
According to the Council, Akbarzadeh has supported IRGC Navy actions undermining navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, including threats against commercial vessels. Hosseini was listed for promoting policies requiring vessels to submit information, undergo assessment and pay transit fees to Iranian authorities for safe passage.
The sanctions come less than two weeks after the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned Iran’s so-called Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA), which Washington accuses of coordinating with the IRGC and IRGC Navy to impose a permission-based transit regime in the waterway.
According to the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, vessels transiting Hormuz have been required to submit operational information to Iranian authorities and follow routing instructions coordinated with the IRGC Navy in exchange for what Tehran describes as safe passage. Treasury alleges transit fees ultimately benefit the IRGC.
The U.S. designation marked a significant escalation in Washington’s response to Iran’s efforts to formalize control over commercial shipping through Hormuz. Treasury warned that shipowners, insurers, brokers, banks and other maritime service providers could face sanctions exposure for facilitating transactions involving the PGSA or related Iranian entities.
Shipping executives and maritime security analysts have increasingly characterized the system as an attempt to establish a de facto toll and control regime over international shipping lanes.
The EU sanctions include asset freezes and a ban on making funds or economic resources available to the listed individuals and entity. The two individuals are also subject to EU travel bans.
The listings bring the EU sanctions regime under the amended framework to 26 individuals and 27 entities.
The move follows the EU’s May 22 decision to expand its Iran sanctions regime to cover individuals and entities involved in actions threatening freedom of navigation in the Middle East, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz.
In conclusions adopted in March, EU leaders called for full implementation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 2817 and stressed the importance of maritime security and freedom of navigation through the strait. Following the U.S.-Iran ceasefire announced in April, the EU also urged all parties to ensure safe passage through Hormuz in accordance with international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Middle East tensions have escalated sharply after Israel launched strikes against Iran, triggering fresh concerns for global shipping markets already grappling with disruption in the Strait of Hormuz and renewed threats in the Red Sea.
The Israeli military said it had struck a petrochemical plant in Iran’s southwest, along with military targets in western and central Iran in retaliation for Iranian missile attacks on northern Israel. Iranian state media reported explosions in Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz and other cities, while authorities in Isfahan said there were no casualties.
The latest exchange marks the first direct military confrontation between the two countries since the ceasefire brokered in April and comes after Iran launched missiles at northern Israel in response to Israeli strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut.
The conflict has rapidly spilled back into maritime markets.
Brent crude climbed nearly 5% on the news, trading to about $97 per barrel, as traders assessed the risk of further disruptions to Middle Eastern oil exports.
The renewed hostilities follow a week of heightened pressure on Iran. US forces on Friday boarded the sanctioned tanker Davina in the Indian Ocean. The vessel had previously been sanctioned by Washington for transporting Iranian crude to China.
At the same time, Yemen’s Houthi movement announced what it described as a “full navigation ban” on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and warned that vessels linked to Israel would be considered military targets.
Maritime security specialist Vanguard said the announcement did not amount to a blanket ban on commercial shipping but warned operators to maintain heightened vigilance and carry out enhanced affiliation screening.
The developments have again shifted attention to the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly a fifth of global oil supplies normally pass.
Iranian lawmaker Mohsen Zanganeh claimed Tehran receives between $1.5m and $2m from each vessel transiting the waterway, with payments made through cash transfers, barter arrangements and, in some cases, cryptocurrency settlements.
Shipbroker Braemar said the outlook for tanker markets remains heavily dependent on when normal traffic can resume through Hormuz.
“An early opening of the Strait of Hormuz would support freight rates,” Braemar said, arguing that risk premiums and stock rebuilding would create additional tanker demand once exports recover.
However, the broker believes a prolonged disruption remains the more likely scenario. “Should Hormuz remain closed to all but a handful of tankers, which right now seems to us the most likely outcome for the next six months or so, demand destruction will quickly replace stock draws as countries look to preserve a depleted supply buffer.”
Braemar warned that a short-lived reopening followed by another lengthy closure could create additional pressure on freight markets by increasing vessel supply outside the Gulf while demand weakens.
Product tanker markets are also being reshaped by the disruption.
According to Poten & Partners, around 5m barrels per day of refined product exports from the Gulf have been disrupted, while about 3m barrels per day of refining capacity has been forced offline during the conflict.
The broker said the US has emerged as the world’s key replacement supplier, increasing refinery runs and sending cargoes to destinations that would normally source products from the Middle East or Asia.
US exports have expanded beyond traditional markets in Latin America to include countries such as Australia, Turkey and Namibia, generating a sharp increase in tonne-mile demand.
The shift initially triggered record product tanker earnings as vessel dislocations and replacement trade flows tightened tonnage availability. However, Poten noted that freight gains have since moderated as trade routes adapted to the new reality.
The next move for tanker markets will depend largely on developments in the Middle East.
“A delayed opening will eventually strain global refined product stocks, limit availability of products and spike prices to force demand destruction. This is bearish for product tanker rates,” Poten said.
“Conversely, a speedy reopening will bring the market back on the path of normalcy and support the freight market.”

Could the Milky Way's missing mass be hiding in a swarm of interstellar comets?

3I/ATLAS has caused quite a stir over the last year, inviting astronomers to update what they know about other solar systems as well as our own. However, this third interstellar visitor may have an unexpected impact on our understanding of dark matter.
A new paper, available on the arXiv preprint server from researchers at the University of Hamburg, attempts to calculate the impact that the presence of large amounts of interstellar objects, or ISOs, would have on our calculation of dark matter in our galaxy.
Part of our calculation of dark matter is based on what's known as "missing mass." This value is based on a property known as the Galactic rotation curve—basically, the speed at which stars orbit the center of the Milky Way.
The actual value for the curve is much higher than would be expected just from the number of stars that we can see, so something else must be contributing to the mass that can account for that increased rotational speed.
Scientists have long held that dark matter is the contributing factor in this mass. But since it doesn't, or very rarely, interact with anything other than gravity, it's not like we can actually "see" it, making it hard to study.
Current estimates of the value of dark matter in the galaxy from the Gaia mission put its concentration at roughly 0.44 gigaelectron volts per cubic centimeter. But what if there were another explanation for some of that missing mass?
ISOs themselves have mass—and are also visible via other means. So far we've seen only three of them: 1I/'Oumuamua, 2I/Borisov and 3I/ATLAS, the largest of the bunch clocking in at a radius of somewhere between 0.16 and 2.8 km.
Since mass increases with the cube of radius, that difference in value has a massive impact on the estimated weight of this largest interstellar visitor.
But we also know that there are likely billions, if not trillions, of other interstellar objects floating out in the galaxy right now.
The question the researchers were attempting to answer was simple: What percentage of the "missing mass" of the galaxy could be floating interstellar objects that we just can't see using our normal observational techniques?
To determine this value, they ran a statistical process known as a Poisson distribution to calculate the local density of wandering rocks similar in size to 3I/ATLAS.
And they found there could be a fair number of them floating in our general area of the galaxy.
Taking that process a step further, they then calculated the percentage of the "missing mass" in the galaxy that could be attributed to these ISOs.
It turns out they could account for approximately 13% to 45% of the mass of the galaxy currently attributed to dark matter.
Admittedly, there are some weaknesses in this extrapolation process. The main one is that they are literally extrapolating a sample size of 1—3I/ATLAS—to an entire galactic population of ISOs.
The authors themselves even admit that the upper bound on the calculation, where ISOs would account for up to half the missing mass, requires an "overly optimistic" amount of matter to be thrown into interstellar space.
However, the underlying math is sound, and it has implications for some existing and upcoming surveys.
Direct dark matter detection experiments such as LZ and XENONnT rely on the local dark matter density to calculate the expected flux of weakly interacting massive particles, or WIMPs, passing through their vats of xenon.
If that number is even just 18% lower than originally expected by the experiment designers, the sensitivities of the instruments might have to be readjusted.
Luckily, we won't have to wait long to get more evidence to prove or disprove this theory. Next-generation sky surveys are coming online that are expected to find dozens, or potentially even hundreds, of new interstellar objects.
Once we have a better grasp of the size and shape of ISOs, we'll have a better sense of what contribution, if any, they make to the missing mass of our galaxy—and whether our understanding of dark matter is correct.

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon is increasingly concerned about Israel ramping up its spying on the U.S., recently raising the counterintelligence threat level from America’s top ally in the Middle East to the highest level, according to two U.S. officials and one former U.S. official.
The Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency in recent weeks issued the new counterintelligence threat assessment amid rising tensions between Israel and the U.S. over the way forward in the war with Iran, the officials said. They said the DIA posted an internal message, viewed by one of the current officials, that raised the level for Israel to “critical.”
The designation stems from concerns within the Pentagon that Israel is making a particular effort to surveil top U.S. officials to get information on the Trump administration’s internal deliberations and decision-making on the conflicts in the Middle East, the officials said.
The DIA assessment includes a seven-page document and features a chart, according to one of the current U.S. officials. The document says the assessment of Israel is that its ability to conduct human espionage and technical collection is at a “critical level,” according to the official.
It also identifies a series of specific incidents that heightened U.S. concerns, the official said.
A spokesperson for the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., said in a statement that it is “completely false” that Israel spies on the U.S. “Israel does not gather intelligence on American entities, let alone US government officials,” the spokesperson said. “Israel intelligence collection efforts are aimed at its enemies, not its allies. Any claims to the contrary are either misinformed or politically motivated.”
The Pentagon declined to comment.
A White House official said in a statement, “This entire story is false and sourced to someone who doesn’t have any knowledge of what’s going on.”
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which oversees all the U.S. intelligence agencies including the DIA, did not respond to a request for comment.
While it is commonplace for allies and adversaries across the globe to spy on each other, the current and former U.S. officials said Israel’s recent efforts have gone well beyond what is typical and expected espionage. The officials did not know if a specific incident triggered the DIA’s decision to raise the counterintelligence threat level.
The heightened alert comes as President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have clashed over the war with Iran and Israel’s military operations in Lebanon, including in a tense phone call this past week, NBC News reported. Trump acknowledged afterward to reporters that he called Netanyahu “crazy” during the call as questions mount about whether the two countries’ objectives in the Middle East are beginning to significantly diverge.
Since a ceasefire deal was reached in early April, Trump has been pursuing a diplomatic deal with Iran to end the war Israel and the U.S. launched on Feb. 28. Israel has publicly expressed skepticism that Iran would abide by any negotiated deal. Netanyahu has pushed for a resumption of bombing raids against Iran and disagreed with Trump, who has pressed him to scale back attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to Western officials.
Israel is keenly interested in whether Trump decides to resume major combat operations against Iran or to end the conflict, the current and former U.S. officials and outside experts said.

President Trump on Friday reacted to former National Security Advisor John Bolton accepting a plea deal in the classified documents case, telling reporters he’s “paying the price for certainly being dishonest.”
Bolton was charged for allegedly sending “highly sensitive” classified materials to family members from a private, unsecured email server while he was working at the White House during the first Trump administration and using classified documents to write his book titled “The Room Where It Happened.” The FBI raided Bolton’s home last summer, where they discovered classified emails.
“I was never much of a fan of John Bolton. I never thought he was a smart person,” Trump said, slamming him as a warmonger.
“I used him for a purpose,” Trump added, “but he always wanted to kill people in war, and that was okay for me, as long as I didn’t listen to him, which I never did.”
“He’s a bad guy, John Bolton, he’s a dirty guy, and we caught him,” Trump added.
Trump further described the successful conviction as “a great honor,” adding that he helped “from the standpoint of encouragement.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Bolton agreed to plead guilty to a felony count of retention of sensitive national security documents.
He is facing 60 days in jail and $2.25 million in fines.

Prada and Axiom Space unveiled the Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garment on Sunday, a body-hugging undersuit designed to regulate temperature and manage breathing for NASA astronauts during lunar surface operations.
The garment, known as the LCVG, is engineered as the inner layer of Axiom Space's Extravehicular Mobility Unit spacesuit, called the AxEMU.
It circulates cold water through a network of tubes routed across the body's major muscle groups, carrying metabolic heat away to the suit's portable life-support system, where it is expelled into space, the company said.
A separate loop of tubes delivers fresh oxygen across an astronaut's face, washing away exhaled carbon dioxide before the gas routes back through a CO2 scrubber and recirculates.
The LCVG also features a fully redundant cooling circuit, providing a backup if the primary loop fails.
Rather than threading tubes through mesh material as in earlier designs — a labor-intensive approach — Prada's engineers wove cooling-liquid channels directly into the fabric structure itself, a manufacturing advance that Space.com noted draws on the fashion house's expertise in engineered knitting and 3D modeling.
Prada's knowledge of high-performance materials also supported the identification and sourcing of specialized fibers that allow the garment to be worn across long-duration missions, Axiom Space said.
"Every minute astronauts spend outside their vehicle, the LCVG is working to keep them safe," Russell Ralston, Axiom Space senior vice president of spacecraft development, said in a statement.
"It manages their thermal environment, supports their breathing, and does it all while they're pushing their bodies to the limit."
The LCVG is intended for use during NASA's Artemis IV mission, the first Artemis mission slated to land astronauts on the lunar surface.
At the lunar South Pole, where the mission is targeted, portions of the terrain alternate between direct exposure to the sun and deep shadow, producing temperature swings exceeding 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
The LCVG reveal follows an earlier phase of the Axiom Space-Prada collaboration.
In 2024, the two companies unveiled the AxEMU's outer layer, with Prada's design work helping produce a suit exterior built to withstand the thermal and micrometeoroid environment of the lunar South Pole, Axiom Space said.
"By bringing together the best in both aerospace engineering as well as luxury craftsmanship and advanced product development, we have developed a garment that neither company could have created independently," Axiom Space CEO and President Jonathan Cirtain said in a statement.
Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada Group chief marketing officer and head of sustainability, said the company looked forward to continuing the collaboration "pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers together."

Air Force, Space Force seek to hire thousands of civilian employees

AFMC, the largest mission in the Air Force by funding, is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The Air Force and the Space Force are back in hiring mode.
The Air Force fiscal year 2027 budget request funds an increase of 4,115 civilian “full time equivalents” job positions, while the Space Force FY27 budget request funds about 1,912 additional civilian positions, a spokeswoman for the Department of the Air Force said Monday, June 8.
The numbers confirmed a recent report in Air and Space Forces Magazine.
The magazine said some 70% of the requested civilian positions in the budget request seek to fill vacancies created by the Department of Government Efficiency, a Trump administration project that said it sought to cut waste across the federal government.
“It is important to note that an FTE is a funding construct, not a specific person or position,” Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek told the Dayton Daily News. “Therefore, the increase doesn’t necessarily equate to an exact number of hires.”
The request is a marked turnaround from the department’s efforts last year to cut jobs.
The biggest mission at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base saw a 25% jump in civilian employee retirements last year, according to the woman who in April became the top civilian executive at Air Force Materiel Command, Kathy Watern.
“We’ll find ways to replace the talent,” Watern told the Dayton Daily News in a March interview. “We have a big strategic hiring calendar.”
AFMC, the largest mission in the Air Force by funding, is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The Department of Defense’s Deferred Resignation Program and its Voluntary Early Retirement Authority saw thousands of civilian employees across the government move on to the next chapters of their careers in 2025.
Federal data and some national reports indicated that the DOD as a whole saw some 10% of its cadre of civilian employees move on last year. In all, the entire federal workforce shrank by 10.3% in 2025 or about 238,000 workers.
AFMC held a hiring event at Wright State University last month. Katrina Moschitto, who works in human resources for AFMC, said candidates would find openings at AFMC, Space Force, auditing agencies and a wide variety of organizations.
There were openings across the country, but the focus that day was jobs at Wright-Patterson. Nearly 850 applicants pre-registered for the one-day job fair, she said.
AFMC is responsible for equipping the Air Force and has 89,000 military and civilian professionals working for it.
Watern and Amanda Stroop, AFMC personnel demonstration programs branch chief, told the Dayton Daily News in 2025 that the command has more than 13,100 employees working on the base.
With about 38,000 military and civilian employees, Wright-Patterson is the largest concentration of employment in one location in the state of Ohio.

Founded on 13 February 1434 by Amadeus VIII, Duke of Savoy (later Antipope Felix V), this order began as a contemplative "noble society" of ordained noblemen residing at the Castle of Ripaille near Lake Geneva. Named after Saint Maurice of the Theban Legion, it was originally a military order that declined over time before being revitalized in 1572 by Pope Pius V at the request of the Duke of Savoy to serve as a defensive force against Protestantism and Ottoman expansion.
2. The Order of Saint Lazarus (c. 1119)
Tracing its roots to c. 1119 in Jerusalem, this was a Catholic military and hospitaller order established by Crusaders to care for lepers. Unique among military orders, many of its knights were themselves afflicted with leprosy. The order operated hospitals and fought in key Crusades, including the Siege of Acre. By the 16th century, its Italian commanderies were struggling following the death of their Grand Master.
3. The Merger (1572)
The modern order was formally created on 16 September 1572 (confirmed by a second bull on 13 November 1572) when Pope Gregory XIII issued the papal bulls Christiani Populi and Pro Commissa Nobis. These bulls merged the Italian branch of the Order of Saint Lazarus with the Order of Saint Maurice under the perpetual sovereignty of the House of Savoy. Emmanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy, became the first Grand Master of the combined entity.
The merger combined the military zeal of Saint Maurice with the hospitaller charity of Saint Lazarus. The new order was tasked with defending the Holy See, fighting pirates and heretics, and continuing the care of lepers, eventually evolving into the primary state decoration of the Kingdom of Italy.

ESA and EBRD to advance Earth observation for development and impact finance

The European Space Agency (ESA) signed an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), hailing a new era of cooperation with the aim of advancing the use of Earth observation data and services for development and impact finance initiatives.
The agreement, signed during the EBRD Annual Meeting in Latvia on Saturday, 6 June, sets out the intention for ESA and the EBRD to further explore areas of mutual interest for potential collaboration, following an exploratory period of about two years where initial pilot activities were initiated – such as engagement in the EBRD Green Cities programme.
The areas of joint effort will focus on using space-based Earth observation data to improve the efficiency and impact of development efforts and EBRD operations.
The collaboration will address issues including advancing the use of satellite date and services in development projects, from research and product development through to implementation, monitoring and impact assessment.
It will also promote joint knowledge sharing, capacity building, resource mobilisation and outreach activities to strengthen the application of Earth observation for sustainable development.
The letter of intent (LOI) with the EBRD was digitally signed by ESA’s Director of Earth Observation Programmes, Simonetta Cheli, and EBRD’s Vice President for Policy and Partnerships, Mark Bowman, earlier this month. T
his was followed by an in-person signature event at the EBRD’s annual meeting in Riga on Saturday, 6 June, with ESA’s Head of Climate Action, Sustainability and Science Department, Rune Floberghagen, confirming the partnership agreement alongside EBRD’s Managing Director for Policy, Strategy and Delivery, Melis Ekmen Tabojer.
ESA’s Simonetta Cheli said, “This partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development reflects the strength of European cooperation in addressing global challenges.
By working together, we can further unlock the potential of Earth observation data and services, ensuring they are fully integrated into development initiatives that deliver real-world impact.
ESA’s Earth observation programmes are designed precisely for this purpose: to turn space-based knowledge into actionable insights that support sustainable and inclusive development worldwide.”
The EBRD’s Mark Bowman said, “We are very pleased to formalise our shared intent to co-operate with the European Space Agency, following several pilot exercises.
Satellite data is extensively used in several sectors in which the Bank works - from assessing the effects of climate change to supporting infrastructure and agriculture projects.
We look forward to continuing to expand its application to our clients and countries of operation.”

I want them to know that I am getting threats now I believe that I need to leave and do as the cia is saying or demanding. That they want to place a double for no reason in my place or work in some aspect.
That they want to tell me that I have to go see a fake mother is what is going on with a woman that is obsessed with playing a mother figure to people. That they are making me not want to be around woman with the dominate human trafficking nature that is going on that they have men that are like strong arming enforcers in these ways that are like doing their bidding like they are her sons.
This is where if they try to do this I will not be settling on one issue at all in court and will be going after them. This is also I will not take one amount in bonds or deals everything will be cash so on because to me it is like the government is not good on the word they are have as they are allowing these people to threaten me and be like they turned me from no longer wanting to have a family kids or even look at woman in some type of relationship in the future why because of how they are and the way they have woman treat me. This is now what is going on they can’t force me to leave my home this way.
I will be staying this is for a limited amount of time and they plan to try to act like my father falls out with me again do they want me to do nothing and so on and not be around in some way to even do anything so on as this ends.
Also they I believe are trying to make me leave when I am injured and can’t do things I do not feel confident in moving and believe there is a higher chance I may need surgery still this is where I do not need more stress in areas of my body so to speak.
I do not believe my real mother would be happy and is against all of this.
I am however wondering if she is alive or any of my family at this time now.
This is what I see going on that people are like trying to enforce their rule suggesting they will kill my family.
This is what is going on now by mercenary. This is now how this is in some aspect.
I would like to know that this is not going to happen. I would also want to make it clear the government is acting as though it is taking over a small business so on with fails license so on and work comp and insurance not for the company in these ways. That non of this can be done legally so on as they are running a company with no authorization of the owners or then staff so on that is here to see things as needed or something happens.
That is now the reality of this… this is the largest loosing battle that they are no insurance under the owner so on to the company and licensing is involved in these things.
That this is now the reality of my life that this was supposed to be my inheritance as when I got older and these people are mocking it in ever manner of speaking is the way that I see it.
This is where it is that bad.
This is what they were planning on trying to do is force me to leave saying my mother had cancer or some shit that came back. This is how this is all about them and has gone on for now over 10 years in these respects of things.

Tech stocks gain as Trump mulls government stake in AI companies
Investing.com – U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday his team is exploring the idea of AI companies giving the American public a stake in their firms, and that he plans to host a meeting with AI executives as soon as next week.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he had discussed a deal with major AI labs in which the federal government "essentially becomes a partner with the companies."
"There’s something very interesting about it, where it almost becomes a partnership with the American public," he said. "We’ll look into that."
Major AI-related stocks rose in early Monday premarket trading. Nvidia gained more than 1% by 04:14 ET, while other chipmakers Marvell and Micron rose between 4% and 7%, and AMD and Intel added more than 1%. Google, meanwhile, fell 1.2%.
Trump said companies including Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI would discuss the proposal further at the White House next week. Anthropic, SpaceX, and OpenAI are all expected to go public in the coming months in blockbuster Wall Street debuts, each likely commanding trillion-dollar valuations.
The U.S. president’s comments come after digital news outlet NOTUS had reported Thursday that senior U.S. officials held preliminary talks with AI companies about the government potentially buying shares in their firms.
The Trump administration has already taken an unusually active role in the corporate sector, acquiring stakes in chipmaker Inteland several rare earth and quantum computing companies.
The idea gained traction after progressive Senator Bernie Sanders said he would introduce legislation imposing a one-time 50% tax on AI labs’ stock, with proceeds flowing into a U.S. sovereign wealth fund.
The move "would guarantee that the trillions created by AI are used to improve the lives of all of us," Sanders said.The proposal drew sharp criticism from prominent AI industry figures, including Silicon Valley venture capitalist and Trump adviser David Sacks.
Trump acknowledged Friday that Sanders’ proposal had resonated with some of his own voters, and suggested the idea could help ease growing public anxiety about artificial intelligence.
Trump’s administration has struggled to settle on an approach to AI regulation. The White House abruptly canceled a signing ceremony for an AI executive order scheduled for May 21, with reports suggesting the tech industry had pushed back against elements of the directive.
Trump said at the time he disliked certain provisions and did not want to take steps that could undermine the U.S. in its AI rivalry with China.Earlier this week, he signed a revised version of the order asking leading AI developers to voluntarily submit their most capable models for government cybersecurity testing before public release.
Concerns about AI risks have been mounting, fueled in part by Anthropic’s release of its powerful Mythos tool.
Experts warn that in the wrong hands, Mythos could significantly accelerate sophisticated cyberattacks, particularly in sectors such as banking that rely on complex, interconnected, and often decades-old technology systems.
