US denies intercepting Iranian missiles fired at Israel - CNN

A US official quoted by CNNdeniedIsrael’s claim that the United States intercepted Iranian ballistic missiles fired at Israel late Sunday.

The official said theUS military “didn’t intercept any” of the Iranian missiles fired overnight, a notable shift from previous rounds of conflict with Iran, when the US used significant numbers of its own missile interceptors to shoot down Iranian missiles aimed at Israel.

The denial contradicted an assertion earlier Monday by an Israeli military officialwho said the US assisted Israel’s air defense efforts, including by intercepting some of the Iranian missiles.

The Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus originates from the merger of two distinct medieval orders, unified under the House of Savoy in the 16th century:

1. The Order of Saint Maurice (1434)

Founded on 13 February 1434 by Amadeus VIII, Duke of Savoy (later Antipope Felix V), this order began as a contemplative "noble society" of ordained noblemen residing at the Castle of Ripaille near Lake Geneva. Named after Saint Maurice of the Theban Legion, it was originally a military order that declined over time before being revitalized in 1572 by Pope Pius V at the request of the Duke of Savoy to serve as a defensive force against Protestantism and Ottoman expansion.

2. The Order of Saint Lazarus (c. 1119)

Tracing its roots to c. 1119 in Jerusalem, this was a Catholic military and hospitaller order established by Crusaders to care for lepers. Unique among military orders, many of its knights were themselves afflicted with leprosy. The order operated hospitals and fought in key Crusades, including the Siege of Acre. By the 16th century, its Italian commanderies were struggling following the death of their Grand Master.

3. The Merger (1572)

The modern order was formally created on 16 September 1572 (confirmed by a second bull on 13 November 1572) when Pope Gregory XIII issued the papal bulls Christiani Populi and Pro Commissa Nobis. These bulls merged the Italian branch of the Order of Saint Lazarus with the Order of Saint Maurice under the perpetual sovereignty of the House of Savoy. Emmanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy, became the first Grand Master of the combined entity.

The merger combined the military zeal of Saint Maurice with the hospitaller charity of Saint Lazarus. The new order was tasked with defending the Holy See, fighting pirates and heretics, and continuing the care of lepers, eventually evolving into the primary state decoration of the Kingdom of Italy.

I want them to know that I am getting threats now I believe that I need to leave and do as the cia is saying or demanding. That they want to place a double for no reason in my place or work in some aspect.

That they want to tell me that I have to go see a fake mother is what is going on with a woman that is obsessed with playing a mother figure to people. That they are making me not want to be around woman with the dominate human trafficking nature that is going on that they have men that are like strong arming enforcers in these ways that are like doing their bidding like they are her sons.

This is where if they try to do this I will not be settling on one issue at all in court and will be going after them. This is also I will not take one amount in bonds or deals everything will be cash so on because to me it is like the government is not good on the word they are have as they are allowing these people to threaten me and be like they turned me from no longer wanting to have a family kids or even look at woman in some type of relationship in the future why because of how they are and the way they have woman treat me. This is now what is going on they can’t force me to leave my home this way.

I will be staying this is for a limited amount of time and they plan to try to act like my father falls out with me again do they want me to do nothing and so on and not be around in some way to even do anything so on as this ends.

Also they I believe are trying to make me leave when I am injured and can’t do things I do not feel confident in moving and believe there is a higher chance I may need surgery still this is where I do not need more stress in areas of my body so to speak.

I do not believe my real mother would be happy and is against all of this.

I am however wondering if she is alive or any of my family at this time now.

This is what I see going on that people are like trying to enforce their rule suggesting they will kill my family.

This is what is going on now by mercenary. This is now how this is in some aspect.

I would like to know that this is not going to happen. I would also want to make it clear the government is acting as though it is taking over a small business so on with fails license so on and work comp and insurance not for the company in these ways. That non of this can be done legally so on as they are running a company with no authorization of the owners or then staff so on that is here to see things as needed or something happens.

That is now the reality of this… this is the largest loosing battle that they are no insurance under the owner so on to the company and licensing is involved in these things.

That this is now the reality of my life that this was supposed to be my inheritance as when I got older and these people are mocking it in ever manner of speaking is the way that I see it.

This is where it is that bad.

This is what they were planning on trying to do is force me to leave saying my mother had cancer or some shit that came back. This is how this is all about them and has gone on for now over 10 years in these respects of things.

Tech stocks gain as Trump mulls government stake in AI companies

Investing.com – U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday his team is exploring the idea of AI companies giving the American public a stake in their firms, and that he plans to host a meeting with AI executives as soon as next week.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he had discussed a deal with major AI labs in which the federal government "essentially becomes a partner with the companies."

"There’s something very interesting about it, where it almost becomes a partnership with the American public," he said. "We’ll look into that."

Major AI-related stocks rose in early Monday premarket trading. Nvidia gained more than 1% by 04:14 ET, while other chipmakers Marvell and Micron rose between 4% and 7%, and AMD and Intel added more than 1%. Google, meanwhile, fell 1.2%.

Trump said companies including Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI would discuss the proposal further at the White House next week. Anthropic, SpaceX, and OpenAI are all expected to go public in the coming months in blockbuster Wall Street debuts, each likely commanding trillion-dollar valuations.

The U.S. president’s comments come after digital news outlet NOTUS had reported Thursday that senior U.S. officials held preliminary talks with AI companies about the government potentially buying shares in their firms.

The Trump administration has already taken an unusually active role in the corporate sector, acquiring stakes in chipmaker Inteland several rare earth and quantum computing companies.

The idea gained traction after progressive Senator Bernie Sanders said he would introduce legislation imposing a one-time 50% tax on AI labs’ stock, with proceeds flowing into a U.S. sovereign wealth fund.

The move "would guarantee that the trillions created by AI are used to improve the lives of all of us," Sanders said.The proposal drew sharp criticism from prominent AI industry figures, including Silicon Valley venture capitalist and Trump adviser David Sacks.

Trump acknowledged Friday that Sanders’ proposal had resonated with some of his own voters, and suggested the idea could help ease growing public anxiety about artificial intelligence.

Trump’s administration has struggled to settle on an approach to AI regulation. The White House abruptly canceled a signing ceremony for an AI executive order scheduled for May 21, with reports suggesting the tech industry had pushed back against elements of the directive.

Trump said at the time he disliked certain provisions and did not want to take steps that could undermine the U.S. in its AI rivalry with China.Earlier this week, he signed a revised version of the order asking leading AI developers to voluntarily submit their most capable models for government cybersecurity testing before public release.

Concerns about AI risks have been mounting, fueled in part by Anthropic’s release of its powerful Mythos tool.

Experts warn that in the wrong hands, Mythos could significantly accelerate sophisticated cyberattacks, particularly in sectors such as banking that rely on complex, interconnected, and often decades-old technology systems.
