Both of these seem like fear porn to anon. The entire GPS system is owned by the US govt. and run by the Space Force. It has been selectively used in the past to cut off access to GPS to certain countries, similar to how its accuracy was throttled for civilian use back in the 90s.

I have my doubts how 'shockingly vulnerable' it is, since only a few countries have the technology to knock down one of those satellites. And that is not to say the Space Force wouldn't just automatically repurpose another satellite to do the job. If 'the whole world' is relying on GPS for their financial systems as the article indicates, then no one has an interest in disrupting it unless they have their own alternative GPS ready to go within the global banking networks.
