the idea hit me when i was rereading a book on psychological development, and listening to some videos playing that had somehow drifted into the drama of jewtubers who were accused of being inappropriate with minors.
my thought is that a pedo man who sexually desires a little girl is programned with a reproductive strayegy that takes advantage of her characteristics as both a child and as a female.
as a child, shes highly impressionable, and whatever relationship is established between the two would be imprinted deeply into her psychology. this means the establishment of a strong pair-bonding between the two.
shes sexually immature when they begin having intercourse, but she will get older, and when she eventually becomes fertile she will be pair bonded to the pedo, and he would have a wife who has just entered imto her reproductive window. pedophiles are the result of an older reproductive strategy that is pair-bonding taken to the extreme, with both risks and rewards exaggerated.
they will not lose attraction to her as she ages, for the same reasons that couples who got together as teenagers could still find one another sexually attractive even after they grow old. they may be exclusively attracted to females of a certain age range, but that only counts for the establishment of their relationships, as it progresses that attraction can persist even long after she has aged out of that range.
also, the idea of ditching her for having grown too old is based on a misconception about the vast majority of pedophiles.
