Republican Senator Ted Cruz (Texas) revealed that Virginia Governor Ralph Northam supported a bill that allows a mother to decide to “abort” a baby during labor.

“Governor Northam supported a bill that would allow abortions when a mother was already in labor,” said Cruz during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. “For all of us who are parents, imagine that.”

Cruz stated that Governor Northam also supports allowing parents to decide whether or not a baby should live or die after a baby has been born.

“[Governor Northam] said, and I quote, ‘The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.’ This is a sitting governor, the Commonwealth of Virginia, calmly discussing allowing this baby to die.”

George Kurtz is the co-founder and CEO of cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. He was also the founder of Foundstone and chief technology officer of McAfee After college, Kurtz began his career at Price Waterhouse as a CPA. In 1993, Price Waterhouse made Kurtz one of its first employees in its new security group. In 1999, he co-wrote Hacking Exposed, a book about cybersecurity for network administrators, with Stuart McClure and Joel Scambray. The book sold more than 600,000 copies and was translated into more than 30 languages. Later that year he started a cybersecurity company, Foundstone, one of the first dedicated security consulting companies. Foundstone focused on vulnerability management software and services and developed a well-recognized incident response practice, with much of the Fortune 100 among its customers. McAfee acquired Foundstone for $86 million in August 2004, with Kurtz assuming the title of senior vice president and general manager of risk management at McAfee. During his tenure, he helped craft the company's strategy for security risk management. In October 2009, McAfee appointed him to the roles of worldwide chief technology officer and executive vice president. In 2010, he participated in Operation Aurora, the investigation of a series of cyber attacks against Google and several other companies. In 2011, he led McAfee's research around the emerging Night Dragon and Shady RAT threats, alongside McAfee's vice president of threat research Dmitri Alperovitch.

Over time, Kurtz became frustrated that existing security technology functioned slowly and was not, as he perceived it, evolving at the pace of new threats. On a flight, he watched the passenger seated next to him wait 15 minutes for McAfee software to load on his laptop, an incident he later cited as part of his inspiration for founding CrowdStrike. He resigned from McAfee in October 2011. In November 2011, Kurtz joined private equity firm Warburg Pincus as an "executive in residence" and began working on his next project, CrowdStrike. He, Gregg Marston (former chief financial officer at Foundstone), and Alperovitch co-founded CrowdStrike in Irvine, California, formally announcing the company's launch in February 2012. Kurtz pitched the idea for the company to Warburg Pincus and secured $25 million in funding.

CrowdStrike shifted the focus from anti-malware and antivirus products (McAfee's approach to cybersecurity) to identifying the techniques used by hackers in order to spot incoming threats. The company also focuses on a "cloud-first" model in order to reduce the software load on customers' computers. CrowdStrike, now headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, attracted public interest in June 2016 for its role in investigating the Democratic National Committee cyber attacks, and in May 2017, the company exceeded a valuation of $1 billion

8 Republicans join Democrats in vote to limit Trump's military powers in Iran

The Senate voted 51-45 on Wednesday to limit President Trump from pursuing military action in Iran without congressional approval.

Eight Republicans sided with all Democrats to approve Sen. Tim Kaine's (D-Va.) resolution. Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) didn't vote as they were likely on the presidential campaign trail, and recent 2020 dropout Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) didn't vote either.

President Trump tweeted earlier Wednesday to encourage senators to vote against the resolution, saying "this is not the time to show weakness" to Iran. He'll very likely veto the bill, and the Senate won't have the votes to overturn it.

Girls sue to block participation of transgender athletes

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The families of three female high school runners filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday seeking to block transgender athletes in Connecticut from participating in girls sports.

Selina Soule, a senior at Glastonbury High School, Chelsea Mitchell, a senior at Canton High School and Alanna Smith, a sophomore at Danbury High School are represented by the conservative nonprofit organization Alliance Defending Freedom. They argue that allowing athletes with male anatomy to compete has deprived them of track titles and scholarship opportunities.

“Mentally and physically, we know the outcome before the race even starts," said Smith, who is the daughter of former Major League pitcher Lee Smith. “That biological unfairness doesn't go away because of what someone believes about gender identity. All girls deserve the chance to compete on a level playing field.”

The lawsuit was filed against the Connecticut Association of Schools-Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and the boards of education in Bloomfield, Cromwell, Glastonbury, Canton and Danbury.

“Forcing girls to be spectators in their own sports is completely at odds with Title IX, a federal law designed to create equal opportunities for women in education and athletics,” attorney Christiana Holcomb said. "Connecticut’s policy violates that law and reverses nearly 50 years of advances for women.”

The Connecticut Association of Schools-Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference says its policy follows a state anti-discrimination law that says students must be treated in school by the gender with which they identify and the group believes the policy is “appropriate under both state and federal law.”

Book Review: China Rx: Exposing the Risks of America’s Dependence on China for Medicine

“Without firing a missile or hacking the electric grid, China can take America down by disrupting access to essential drugs,” write the authors of this important book.

This book is a fine piece of investigative journalism that educates the reader about the genesis of China’s grip on our supply of medications. China is now the largest global supplier of the active ingredients and chemical building blocks needed to make many vitamins, and prescription and over-the-counter drugs. These include antibiotics, steroids, and cancer drugs.

Until the mid-1990s, the U.S., Europe, and Japan manufactured 90 percent of the global supply of key ingredients for the world’s medications. Now more than half of the 4,000 active ingredients needed to make a make a pharmaceutical depend on China.

Our weakness for bargains has created a monster. The authors note that hospitals and retail pharmacies have become “like the big box stores, stocked with made- in-China items.” China’s winning formula is for a company—with the help of the government—to undercut the price of drugs or components; the artificially low price forces other companies out of the market; then the company is free to manipulate the price and supply at will.

But the authors warn that “cheaper drugs required a cheaper way to make them.” A light was shined on China’s poor manufacturing practices of ingestibles in 2007 with the well-publicized dog and cat-food recall. More than 4,000 pets died from renal failure due to contamination with melamine, an industrial chemical used in plastics manufacture.

The outrage over this “economically motivated contamination” of pet food dissipated while in the next year a far less-publicized drug contamination took human lives. Although “manufactured” by an American company (Baxter Healthcare Corporation), heparin was made in China under substandard conditions and was sold to unwitting hospitals with tragic consequences. One-third of the batches of heparin from China were contaminated. The book fully explores the heparin debacle, telling how it happened and what our government has done about protecting us in the future.

From the start, the authors received robotic, scripted, unhelpful replies to the straightforward question: where was this drug made? Searching for the answer, the authors delve into the loopholes in treaties and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations that have allowed shoddily manufactured drugs for human consumption to be used in the U.S. Moreover, politics was interjected. The Transparency in Drug Labeling Act was introduced in 2008 to force drug labels to disclose where the drug was produced, not merely the location of the parent company. The law went nowhere, and it appears that the power of the drug company lobbyists prevailed over safety. Did this signal to China that the U.S. could be influenced by special interests, sometimes to the detriment of its populace?

China’s latest Five-year Plan for National and Social Development includes entering (and cornering?) the market on medical devices. The centralization of global supply in China leaves the world vulnerable. Not only can they disrupt the supply chain and cause shortages but purposefully create shortages or adulterate drugs. Keep in mind, the active ingredient for ciprofloxin to treat anthrax is in China’s hands.

This meticulously researched book is disturbing, but it is required reading for anyone who takes or prescribes medications. It is a real page-turner that reads like a novel and includes real-world scenarios. The authors included a detailed index, making the information readily accessible for repeated reading.

The Chinese think ahead with their well-known “five-year plans.”This book is a wake-up call for America to start planning for our future as well.

Official: Puerto Rico govt loses $2.6M in phishing scam

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rico’s government has lost more than $2.6 million after falling for an email phishing scam, according to a senior official.

The finance director of the island’s Industrial Development Company, Rubén Rivera, said in a complaint filed to police Wednesday that the agency sent the money to a fraudulent account.

Rivera said the government agency transferred the money on Jan. 17 after receiving an email that alleged a change to a banking account tied to remittance payments, according to a police statement.

Manuel Laboy, executive director of the agency, told The Associated Press that officials found out about the incident earlier this week and immediately reported it to the FBI.

“This is a very serious situation, extremely serious,” he said. “We want it to be investigated until the last consequences.”

Laboy declined to say how officials found out about the scam, whether anyone has been dismissed or how the company’s operations have been affected by the missing funds. He said an internal investigation is under way to determine whether someone was negligent or did not follow standard procedure, adding that government officials are trying to recover the money.

“I cannot speculate about how these things might happen,” he said, addressing heavy criticism from Puerto Ricans who were incredulous upon hearing the news.

Laboy added that his agency takes the management of public funds very seriously. “It’s a big responsibility.”

Police did not return calls for comment.

The situation comes as the U.S. territory remains mired in a 13-year recession that has in part forced the government to cut back on some services.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — While investigators continued their work Wednesday to learn more about what caused a single-engine airplane to Tuesday at Johnson County Executive Airport, officials released information about one of the victims.

Earlier Wednesday, the Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victims as Jonathan J. Vannatta, 48 of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Darcy L. Matthews, 43, of Belton, Texas. Investigators say Vannatta was the pilot.

On Wednesday afternoon, 41 Action News confirmed that Vannatta was a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration. A DEA spokesperson said Vannatta was not on a DEA assignment.

Matthews did not work for the DEA...

...Radio communications from before the crash obtained by 41 Action News indicate the plane was bound for Arkansas when it took off from the Johnson County Executive Airport.

Preliminary information from the highway patrol’s report shows the plane crashed almost immediately after takeoff, clipping treetops before crashing east of the runway near 156th Street and Parkhill Street in Overland Park, Kansas, and catching fire.

Vannatta earns master's from Army War College

Col. Jonathan Vannatta, U.S. Army Reserve, graduated from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pa., earning a master's degree in Strategic Studies on July 27.

"The educational highlight of this program for me was an elective on Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA). The security of our homeland is the Nation's first priority and is a fundamental aspect of the National Military Strategy. This course explored capabilities derived from warfighting functions that can be applied to domestic assistance or law enforcement support missions." said Vannatta.

Vannatta, son of Jack and Linda Vannatta of Shelbyville, is a 1994 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He resides in Little Rock, Arkansas, and serves as the Civil Affairs Planning Team Chief, Special Operations Command North (SOCNORTH) with the 350th Civil Affairs Command in Pensacola, Florida. He is employed as a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration in Little Rock, Arkansas, for his civilian career.

China replaces the head of its Hong Kong and Macau affairs office

BEIJING: China has replaced the head of its office overseeing matters in Hong Kong, making him the most senior Beijing-appointed official to lose his job in the wake of sometimes-violent anti-government protests in Hong Kong.

China's Human Resources Ministry announced on Thursday (Feb 13) that Zhang Xiaoming would be removed as director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office (HKMAO), to be replaced by Xia Baolong, a 67-year-old vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Zhang's removal follows Beijing's move in January to replace the head of its Hong Kong liaison office.

Xia was Chinese President Xi Jinping's deputy when Xi was the Communist Party secretary of Zhejiang province from 2003 to 2007. He became known for a hard-line approach in 2015 for a campaign to tear down underground churches there.

The government also said on Thursday that it had appointed as deputy directors of the HKMAO Luo Huining, who became the new liaison office head in January, and Fu Ziying, the director of the Macau liaison office.

Watching old Flynn vids from '16 tonight. Came across a nice nugget from an insider being interviewed. Flynn was said to be creating an insider threat program within the admin and the staff was worried he was planning on monitoring all of their calls and movements. This brings clarity for me to the staff coup carried out w the VP. Over and over they said he did nothing illegal, they crucified him because he wanted to secure the WH, not because he held back the truth from them. He didn't lie to D5. Why should he have trusted anyone within the admin yet given what we all know was at stake?

Yakima, Washington

YAKIMA - A student and her attorney's reached an out-of-court settlement with the Yakima School District over not firing a para-educator who had been investigated for sexually grooming her.

In a press release sent this morning, Tamaki Law said they settled for $500,000 with the district after they argued the school failed to protect a child when they knew something was wrong.

"This type of behavior needs to be dealt with swiftly and severely," Bryan Smith, one of the child's attorneys said.

In 2015, then 33-year-old Aristeo Garcia-Rubio invited a 12-year-old girl back to his house, only a block away from Franklin Middle School. After a few of their meetings, he raped her.

But this didn't come out of nowhere.

Bryan Smith and Megan Hale, who represented the girl say six months prior to the sexual assault, the girl's mother found Garcia walking her daughter home from school, buying her gifts and flirting with her. The mother filed a complaint and Garcia was put on paid administrative leave while under investigation.

"It was our position and the position of our expert witnesses they absolutely had the power to fire this parapro because this was a serious offense," Smith said.

Garcia wasn't fired, in fact he was allowed to go back to work at the same school where the same girl was attending. After a five day investigation, the district brought him back with no other punishment despite protests from Sherry Anderson, Principal of Franklin Middle School.

YSD released a statement from Robert Noe, the chief legal council for the school district saying "The Yakima School District had policies and procedures in place to address sexual harassment of a student, The District responded appropriately to the circumstances and the evidence presented to it, The District applied its policies and procedures and school administrators determined that the employee should have been terminated, However, upon the advice of counsel, the District did not terminate the employee at that time."

The lawyers at Tamaki Law said this was a case of the school district sacrificing a child's safety just to avoid a possible lawsuit over firing somebody.

"They wanted to adhere to the collective bargaining agreement and err on the side of not firing someone when they could be possibly sued by the [teacher's] union for doing so," Smith said. "Even if this was a teacher, a full teacher, if you're sexually grooming a student, game over," Smith added.

YSD did not say if they will make any changes to their policies in the aftermath of the settlement.

Smith added there is no dollar amount that can restore the girl's innocence or peace of mind.

As for the child, her attorneys say she's just thankful it's finally over and that she can move on with her life.

“(B) (i) In this subparagraph, the term ‘Commission’ means a board, commission, or other agency for which the authority of the agency is vested in more than 1 member.

‘Weird Drone’ Spotted Over Space Port in California

The drone allegedly carries a registration which belongs to Toyota and its design is similar to that of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) vehicles.

The Reddit user nicknamed u/Red_Jensen has posted a photo of what he described as a “weird plane” that he said was spotted at Mojave Air and Space Port (KMHV) in California earlier this month.

Commenting on the picture, one of the users claimed that the vehicle’s tail number N971YT is registered to the Japanese carmaker Toyota.

“It's an electric aircraft which I find interesting considering their vehicles are known to favour hydrogen fuel cells as their alternative fuel choice instead of electric,” the user noted.

Another user argued that Toyota plans to “make a compact VTOL [vertical take-off and landing] plane for the masses called the 'Airolla' now, and it’s gonna be the best-selling reliable VTOL plane in the world”.

The Drive website, for its part, suggested that the “plane” is nothing but a “bizarre-look and insect-like remarkably large” VTOL drone.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is equipped with four horizontally-mounted propellers, with one push propeller installed at the UAV’S rear.

The Drive also asserted that the drone’s design is similar to that of a cargo UAV developed by the US aerospace and logistics company Elroy Air.

The website recalled that it was Elroy Air which “has created a system it calls Chaparral that uses a hybrid-electric powerplant and will hopefully be capable of delivering up to 500 pounds of cargo over distances up to 300 miles [482 kilometres]”.

The Drive also suggested that even though the UAVs’ designs are very much alike, “it seems more likely that the drone in question is a competitor's creation”.

On October 8, 2019, Republican Senators Grassley, Graham, Lee, Cruz, Cornyn, Crapo, Tillis, Kennedy, and Blackburn ask the DOJ and FBI about the status of four criminal referrals made by the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the baseless claims made against Kavanaugh, The criminal referrals were made one year before their letter.

The GOP Senators asked the Barr DOJ and FBI Director Chris Wray where they were on the status of the criminal referrals against four individuals for making materially false statements and obstructing the Senate investigation into alleged misconduct by Brett Kavanaugh.

Here again are the four criminal referrals sent to the DOJ and FBI in October 2018 by Senate Republicans.

1. The first referral, dated September 29, 2018, relates to a false allegation made by an individual who told the Committee that he had direct knowledge that Judge Kavanaugh assaulted a close friend on a boat in the harbor at Newport, Rhode Island in 1985. 1 After the Committee extensively questioned Judge Kavanaugh about the allegation, the individual recanted and apologized on social media for making the false allegation.

2. The second referral, dated October 25, 2018, relates to false allegations made by Mr. Michael Avenatti and his client, Ms. Julie Swetnick.2 In a September 23, 2018, email to Committee staff, Mr. Avenatti stated that he and Ms. Swetnick were aware of evidence that during the 1980s, Judge Kavanaugh participated in the “targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.“3 Committee staff interviewed Judge Kavanaugh and ten other individuals in connection with these allegations, which were outlined in graphic detail in a sworn statement to the Committee purportedly written and signed by Ms. Swetnick.

3. The third referral, dated October 26, 2018, relates to evidence that Mr. Avenatti falsified a sworn statement to the Committee in order to provide support for Ms. Swetnick’s unfounded allegations.4 The sworn statement by an unknown declarant claimed that Judge Kavanaugh had spiked the punch at house parties with Quaaludes and/or grain alcohol in order to make “girls more likely to engage in sexual acts and less likely to say ‘No. “‘5 NBC News later reported on a series of contacts with the purported declarant, who stated that she had denied the key allegations in the declaration both before and after the statement was publicly released and that Mr. Avenatti had “twisted [her] words.”6

I’ve been a Democrat for 20 years. Here’s what I experienced at Trump’s rally in New Hampshire.

I started to discover (or perhaps rediscover) the #WalkAway movement. I had heard about #WalkAway when MSNBC told me it was fake and a bunch of Russian bots. But then I started to meet real people who had been Democrats who had made the decision to leave because they could not stand the way the left was acting. I watched town halls they held with different minority communities (all available in their entirety on YouTube) and I saw sane, rational discussion from people of all different races, backgrounds, orientations, and experiences. I joined the Facebook group for the community and saw stories popping up daily of people sharing why they are leaving the Democratic party. This wasn’t fake. These people are not Russian bots. And moreover, it felt like a breath of fresh air. There was not universal agreement in this group — some were Trump supporters, some weren’t — but they talked and shared their perspective without shouting or rage or trying to cancel each other.

I started to question everything. How many stories had I been sold that weren’t true? What if my perception of the other side is wrong? How is it possible that half of the country is really overtly racist? Is it possible that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real thing, and had I been suffering from it for the past three years?

I had attended an event with all of the Democratic contenders just two days prior in exactly the same arena and the contrast was stark. First, Trump completely filled the arena all the way up to the top. Even with every major Democratic candidate in attendance the other night, and the campaigns giving away free tickets, the Democrats did not do that. With Trump, every single person was unified around a singular goal. With the Democrats, the audience booed over candidates they didn’t like and got in literal shouting matches with each other. With Trump, there was a genuinely optimistic view of the future. With the Democrats, it was doom and gloom. With Trump, there was a genuine feeling of pride of being an American. With the Democrats, they emphasized that the country was a racist place from top to bottom.

Federal Judge Dismisses Some Charges Against Disgraced Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes

Late on Tuesday, a Federal judge dropped several charges against former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes but allowed wire fraud charges to stand. The wire fraud charges accuse Holmes and her former boy-toy, Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, of misleading patients about the abilities of Theranos' blood tests.

The court ruled that since the tests were paid by customers' medical insurance companies, that the patients were not deprived of any money or property in using Theranos' blood testing services, according to Reuters. The court also found that there was "no evidence" to show that Holmes and Balwani directed doctors to make misrepresentations to their patients.

The indictment alleges that Holmes and Balwani knew that Theranos was not capable of consistently producing accurate results, yet they encouraged doctors and patients to use their tests regardless. They were both indicted in June of 2018 on 11 counts of conspiracy and wire fraud.

Recall, about two weeks ago, we noted that Holmes literally phoned in her defense in an Arizona fraud lawsuit after her civil lawyers quit due to non-payment.

Holmes still maintains a team of "high caliber" attorneys for her criminal case in San Jose federal court. But in the concurrent civil suit taking place in Phoenix, Holmes was forced to dial into an audio feed without a lawyer several weeks ago, telling the judge she wouldn't make any arguments.

The civil hearing, which ended without a decision, was to try and determine whether or not the case should advance as a class action. The judge asked Holmes at the beginning of the hearing if she wanted to make any arguments and Holmes said she was relying on the arguments made by attorneys for her co-defendants.

The lawyers representing her in Arizona quit back in September, claiming Holmes hasn't paid them. As Bloomberg noted at the time, "it’s highly unusual for a defendant of Holmes’s stature in such a suit to not be represented by an attorney, prompting some speculation on her financial situation."

I do not believe that the 2015 operations of Jade Helm needed uplink. After I had time to read your theory, I understood why our perspectives differed. Those ops were a test to collect info IMHO, much like the NSA data collection. The HAMR was also data collection that could utilize all phones and computers. Someone asked me to prove my knowledge in regards to my research, and mentioned the Jade Microwave systems used. In 2006, while running for the U.S. Senate, Amy Klobuchar held the same positions on illegal immigration as President Donald Trump — supporting a physical barrier at the U.S.-Mexico border and mandatory E-Verify to ban employers from hiring illegal aliens.

Unearthed footage of a 2006 U.S. Senate candidate debate at the University of St. Thomas reveals Klobuchar once held similar views on illegal immigration as Trump, policies she now avidly opposes as sheow avidly opposes as she runs for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination.

“I do believe that we need more resources at the border and that includes a fence,” Klobuchar said. “What we have now, we have people waiting to come in legally. Thousands of people waiting to come in legally to this country, and we have people coming in illegally. That’s not right. We need to get order at the border.”

Klobuchar went even further, touting her support for nationwide mandatory E-Verify to open jobs for Americans and prohibit businesses from hiring illegal aliens:

But we also have to stop giving amnesty to companies that are hiring illegal immigrants. Under this administration, the number of prosecutions of companies [hiring illegal immigrants] has gone way down. That has to change. [Emphasis added]

Today, Klobuchar has dropped all support for physical barriers along the southern border to stop illegal immigration and drug trafficking, vowing on her campaign website to rescind all border wall funding that Trump has secured in recent months and end the national emergency declaration at the border.

“Stop the diversion of funds needed to modernize our military bases from being used for the border wall,” Klobuchar touts, continuing that she “will rescind President Trump’s national emergency declaration and return funding for its intended purpose.”

On mandatory E-Verify, Klobuchar has said explicitly that she will not support such a policy unless it is coupled with an amnesty for the majority of the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living across the U.S.

Fellow 2020 Democrat Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has had a similar left-turn on immigration as Klobuchar. As recent as 2015, Sanders called the idea of open borders a “Koch brothers proposal” to drive down wages for America’s working and middle class.

Most recently, when challenged on his immigration shift by a swing voter concerned about the wage impact on Americans of mass illegal and legal immigration, Sanders dismissed the issue and said cheap foreign workers are necessary to keep the price of food down — an argument repeatedly made by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and corporate interests.

“If [Trump] threw everybody out of the country, the price of food in this country would skyrocket,” Sanders said. “Who do you think is picking the crops and planting all over this country?”

It really is amazing to watch the comfortable Democrat poobahs wring their hands in agony as they watch Mr. Sanders rack up these impressive wins in the Democratic primary.

—In Iowa, they refuse to even acknowledge he appears to have won the most votes. In New Hampshire, they are doing all they can to blunt his victory and crown somebody else for coming in second, third or fourth place.

—Some in the media have even resorted to calling him and his exuberant followers “brown shirts.” Now that is certainly what you get with socialism, but it is amazing to hear actual card-carrying members of the American press uttering such slurs.

—And it underscores just how much they hate Bernie Sanders and how entirely threatened they are by his juggernaut campaign.

—Mr. Sanders is now the clear frontrunner for the nomination. And, even more terrifying for party leaders, his campaign owns 100 percent of the enthusiasm in this primary.

—Four years ago, these same party leaders saw Mr. Sanders surprising rise and moved swiftly to kill his campaign.

—You see, the rise of Bernie Sanders is so much more of an existential threat to them than even losing an election to a Republican — even Donald Trump. The rise of Bernie Sanders means they lose control of the Democratic Party.

They would literally prefer to lose an election than to lose their grip on the party. Standing before King Solomon, they would be the ones happily agreeing to his proposal to split the baby. After all, for them, killing a baby is no big deal

—Even their own.

—So long as they keep their grip on power.

—But this time around, Democrats are in so much more peril. In 2016, they had a major, vetted candidate that the party establishment could instantly rally around against Mr. Sanders. This time, they don’t.

—Or at least they don’t now. A few months ago, they had former Vice President Joe Biden. But in their zeal to impeach President Trump, they inadvertently impeached Uncle Joe.

—Now they cast their eyes to the rest of the sad lot and it is hard to settle on a viable option against Mr. Sanders.

Elizabeth Warren is the screechy teacher everybody hated, whose voice drips with false earnestness and condescension yet is always spouting obvious lies.

You almost feel bad for the fellow. He has been doing this his entire adult life and he is still really terrible at it. Only in Washington does a guy like Joe Biden rise to the top.

—Mayor Pete Buttigieg bet it all on Iowa and that paid off and gave him a nice bounce in the primary here. But all I can say is, “Good luck!”

Wait until people start digging into his record as mayor of a small city in Indiana and his claim to the “moderate” mantle. It gets ugly quick

—That is the same problem for Sen. Amy Klobuchar. Sure, she sounds reasonable and seems like a serious person. But she has a considerable political record that has not yet been fully scrutinized.

—And, anyway, listing your profession as “politician” hasn’t been terribly constructive lately. “Real estate developer” or “reality TV star” have much better rings to them these days.

—But there is hope for Democrat honchos and leftwing media windbags. There are real signs emerging that while Bernie Sanders is racking up the wins now, it might not be enough to carry him into victory next fall.

—In Iowa, Democrats were expecting a record-smashing 300,000 enthusiastic Democratic voters to show up for the caucuses last week. They fell far, far short of that expectation. Turnout was 65,000 below their record in 2008 and only slightly higher than four years ago.

—Also of note, Mr. Sanders earned a little more than half the delegates in Iowa’s complex caucus system than he did four years ago. Obviously, this year saw a more crowded field, but it is worth noting.

—Similarly, in New Hampshire, Mr. Sanders is on track to lose some 70,000 voters this year from his monster totals against Hillary Clinton in 2016.

I have always been just memefag and am new at digging.

I got the idea that Hillary's code name "Evergreen" might refer to adrenochrome (supposed to keep one youthful, "ever green"), and by extension, the Clintons' heavy involvement in human trafficking, etc.

So I searched "evergreen adrenochrome" and came up with these items. Not quite sure how well they tie together, but I just have a feeling there might be some "there" there...

I can't be here all that often. Tried looking back through the notables, and didn't find any mention of Evergreen tied to adrenochrome. Apologies if it was posted and I missed it.

Joe Biden is staking out Nevada and South Carolina for his re-launch strategy; in a sad attempt to give the impression of viability where none exists.

Meanwhile having suffered a terrible defeat, coming in fourth place in her backyard state of New Hampshire, Elizabeth Warren is recognizing the voters are just not buying her pandering wokeness any more.

The collapse of the two weakest remaining candidates, aptly named “Injun-Joe’, is a slow-motion train wreck with a foregone conclusion. Absent of an influx of cash, after the South Carolina primary on Feb 29th both Warren and Biden will likely suspend their campaigns.

Bernie Sanders remains the favorite to collect most delegates before the convention. Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar are second and third. Most pundits estimate when Biden drops-out his support will likely split between Buttigieg and Klobuchar. Similarly when Warren drops out half of her support will follow Buttigieg and Klobuchar and the other half will break-off and go with Sanders.

As long as Buttigieg and Klobuchar remain in the race – Bernie is in position to win the nomination with around 30 to 40 percent of the total vote. However, Mike Bloomberg is the wild card. The DNC supports mini-mike as an emergency in case no-one can stop Bernie Sanders.

That’s the way it looks heading into Nevada, and there will likely be new polling dropping on Thursday and Friday.

Our country has crossed a new threshold, where nationwide injunctions have become almost a routine step in a regulation or policy’s lifecycle. In the most recent example just last week, a single district judge in the Middle District of North Carolina enjoined nationwide the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ “unlawful presence” policy for visa overstays.

Nationwide injunction frequency today is unprecedented and is a 58 percent increase in the Obama years, and increasing.

During the current administration, federal courts have issued at least 55 nationwide injunctions in just three years. That is a rate of nearly 18 nationwide injunctions per year. To put it another way, nationwide injunctions are being issued at over 12 times the rate as in the George W. Bush administration.

And any assertion that there have been more unlawful policies to challenge is belied by the Justice Department’s considerable success in having so many of these nationwide injunctions stayed or reversed on appeal, including in the litigation over the so-called “travel ban,” where the Supreme Court ruled in the government’s favor and vacated the nationwide injunctions. As Justice Thomas wrote in his concurrence in that Trump v. Hawaii decision, nationwide injunctions “are beginning to take a toll on the federal court system.”

So what is that toll? I will address four real examples that will illustrate some of the practical problems nationwide injunctions present.

((OH LOOKY CAIR IS INVOLVED WITH IMMIGRATION!))

The first example comes from CAIR v. Trump and Barr v. East Bay Sanctuary Covenant. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued an interim final rule denying asylum to aliens who did not first seek protection in a third country through which they traveled and where protection was available. One case was filed in D.C. and another in the Northern District of California. The four organizations who sued in California were not even subject to the rule.

On July 24, 2019, the district court in D.C. denied the plaintiffs’ motion for a temporary injunction.

Later that same day, the district judge in San Francisco (SURPISE) issued a nationwide injunction blocking enforcement of this same DHS rule as to anyone anywhere in the United States.

So as a fourth and final example, I wanted to turn to the ultimate risk of competing injunctions that direct opposite outcomes, which cannot both be met. The well-known (DACA) and (DAPA) cases highlight this issue. DACA was an Obama administration policy to allow certain illegal aliens who had come to the United States as children to apply for prosecutorial discretion from deportation and for other collateral benefits. When the Obama administration sought to expand the DACA policy to provide DAPA, Texas and 25 other states brought suit in the Southern District of Texas to block implementation of DAPA. The Texas district court issued a nationwide preliminary injunction that was upheld by the Fifth Circuit and affirmed by an equally divided Supreme Court.

Consistent with that ruling, in September 2017, the Trump administration announced that it would end the original DACA policy. But then more than ten lawsuits challenged this termination and sought to block the repeal. District courts in New York and California granted nationwide preliminary injunctions against the administration’s rescission of DACA, and a D.C. district court vacated the rescission nationwide as well. So we have the peculiar scenario of both the Obama and Trump administration each having been blocked — one from implementing and one from repealing fundamentally similar programs.

In the DACA case, after the Ninth Circuit affirmed the California injunction, the Supreme Court then granted review. Oral argument was heard this past November, and we are waiting to hear from the Supreme Court. But the upshot of all of this to date is that a few lower courts have forced the Trump administration to spend more than two years implementing, nationwide, a discretionary enforcement policy that it had repealed, after different lower courts and the Supreme Court had barred the Obama administration from implementing a materially indistinguishable discretionary enforcement policy it had wanted. Whatever you think about the particular policies at issue, is that how our system is supposed to work?

As these examples illustrate, not only do nationwide injunctions allow a single district judge to wield a nationwide veto against federal policies, they also — and just as worrisome — create discord among courts. Nearly one-third of the nationwide injunctions issued in the last three years came from courts in California. Conversely, in two-thirds of the states, no nationwide injunctions have been issued at all.

What these examples that I discussed tell us, especially with the increased frequency of district judges issuing nationwide injunctions, is that ensuring consistency and coordination in the federal court system is becoming a bigger challenge. Why is that? Perhaps a standard concern might be that of litigants forum-shopping, at least in part, because federal courts are divided into 94 judicial districts, and responsibility for individual cases falls on approximately 600 active district judges and perhaps another 450 senior district judges nationwide. Or perhaps this phenomenon is connected with newer or less experienced judges, as more than two-thirds of the nationwide injunctions issued during the current administration came from district judges appointed after January 2009.

At least one Supreme Court justice has focused on the forum-shopping concern. Justice Gorsuch wrote in his recent concurrence in the DHS v. New York case, that “[b]ecause plaintiffs generally are not bound by adverse decisions in cases to which they were not a party, there is a nearly boundless opportunity to shop for a friendly forum to secure a win nationwide.” If one plaintiff loses, another can try his luck. Yet, if the government loses once, the enforcement of a law is brought to a screeching halt nationwide. Plaintiffs therefore have virtually unlimited bites at the apple, but the government must run the table to prevail, at least unless – and until – the Supreme Court addresses the case.

In wrapping up, I want to suggest that this practice of district judges conferring legal benefits on non-parties to whom other judges had denied relief, and enabling transparent forum-shopping for nationwide rulings by litigants, breeds cynicism and disrespect for our vital institutions of the law. Of course, this is not to say that district courts must agree with one another all the time. But they should not in effect nullify one another’s decisions in an asymmetric way, as the nationwide injunctions I have discussed are very different from most legal rulings that address only the parties actually before the court.

Which takes me back to where I started: “It has become increasingly apparent,” in the words of Justice Gorsuch, that the Supreme Court “must, at some point, confront these important objections to this increasingly widespread practice.” 2/2

Perhaps that will happen soon. In January, the Supreme Court granted certiorari in another closely-watched case in which a nationwide injunction was issued, Trump v. Pennsylvania, out of the Third Circuit. The Court will review the Third Circuit’s affirmance of a nationwide preliminary injunction that blocks exemptions for religious and moral objectors to the contraceptive-coverage mandate promulgated under the Affordable Care Act. In addition to the underlying merits issues, that case will provide the Supreme Court with a chance to confront the mushrooming phenomenon of district judges issuing nationwide injunctions with regard to parties who are not before them.

So today’s conference is indeed timely, and I hope our next speakers — and all of you here today — will advance constructive solutions to the problems presented by inconsistent and overreaching nationwide injunctions, which will enable our government and the judiciary to function better. But I’d like to set that aside for a moment and talk about the practical implications of nationwide injunctions. Many proponents of nationwide injunctions make a fairly utilitarian argument: they are justified, say the proponents, because they provide a necessary check on the Executive and Legislative branches. The point today is that if you care about balanced checks on the elected branches, you should oppose unlawful nationwide injunctions. There are several reasons for this.

First, nationwide injunctions threaten to undermine the judiciary’s role in our constitutional system by depriving its decisions of their public legitimacy.

Second, nationwide injunctions are a check with little “balance.” Consider that the Constitution established only one court — the Supreme Court — and it does not require that we have lower federal courts at all. It took legislation to establish them. To quote Hamilton again, he asserted “that the judiciary is beyond comparison the weakest of the three departments of power; that it can never attack with success either of the other two [branches].”

Third, nationwide injunctions spark a frenzied litigation process that deprives courts of a full opportunity to explain their rulings. But nationwide injunctions spark a rush to and through the courthouse, and to and through the appellate process. Often this occurs on a deficient or non-existent record, with expedited briefing and expedited decision-making. If the nation’s most pressing legal questions are now to be decided on a rushed or emergency basis, a predictable consequence will be a watering down of the courts’ ability to carefully deliberate and to persuasively articulate the reasons for their decisions. This threatens one of the core reasons that courts are an effective check in the first place.

Barclays boss Jes Staley said he "deeply regrets" his connection with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

His comments come after Barclays revealed that UK regulators are investigating the chief executive's links with the disgraced financier.

Mr Staley admitted he maintained contact with Epstein, who died in New York prison cell last year, for seven years after his conviction.

Barclays said Mr Staley has the "full confidence" of the board.

"It has been very well known I had a professional relationship with Jeffrey Epstein," Mr Staley told reporters on Thursday. "It goes back to 2000 when I was asked to run the JP Morgan private bank and he was already a client when I joined the private bank.

"The relationship was maintained during my time at JP Morgan but as I left JP Morgan the relationship tapered off quite significantly. Obviously I thought I knew him well and I didn't. For sure, with hindsight with what we know now, I deeply regret having any relationship with Jeffrey."

Epstein died in his prison last August after being charged with sex trafficking underage girls. It came more than a decade after his conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor, for which he was registered as a sex offender.

The probe by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority will focus on Mr Staley's "characterisation to the company of his relationship" with Epstein.

The Financial Conduct Authority oversees bad behaviour in the City, while the Prudential Regulation Authority looks into financial stability.

Fresh blow

In a statement to the stock market, Barclays said: "As has been widely reported, earlier in his career Mr Staley developed a professional relationship with Mr Epstein. In the summer of 2019, in light of the renewed media interest in the relationship, Mr Staley volunteered and gave to certain executives, and the chairman, an explanation of his relationship with Mr Epstein."

Barclays added that Mr Staley said he had had no contact with Epstein since joining his current employer in December 2015. The bank added: "The relationship between Mr Staley and Mr Epstein was the subject of an inquiry from the Financial Conduct Authority, to which the company responded.

"The FCA and the Prudential Regulation Authority subsequently commenced an investigation, which is ongoing, into Mr Staley's characterisation to the company of his relationship with Mr Epstein and the subsequent description of that relationship in the company's response to the FCA."

Separately, in an interview on Bloomberg Television on Thursday, Mr Staley said that he feels he has been transparent with how he characterised his relationship with Epstein.

"The board has done its own review, and they've looked back at my transparency and they concluded indeed that I have been transparent and open with the bank and with the board all along this process," he said. "But there is a regulatory process that is ongoing, and we'll let that run it's course."

The news will be a fresh blow to Mr Staley who is trying to rebuild his image after being sanctioned for attempting to unmask the identity of a whistleblower at Barclays.

The bank was fined $15m (£11.6m) in the US and Mr Staley was fined £642,430 in the UK for breaching rules by attempting to find whoever raised concerns over an executive Mr Staley hired.

The bank received two letters in 2016 criticising the decision and raising concerns about the executive's experience. Instead of being handed to the bank's investigations team, one of the letters was distributed among senior managers, including Mr Staley.

Barclays also cut his bonus by £500,000.

In another embarrassing episode in 2017, Mr Staley fell for an email prank when a disgruntled customer pretended to be his boss at the time, former chairman John McFarlane.

Mr Staley exchanged several emails with the imposter, who used a Gmail email address, the Financial Times reported. Under his stewardship, the bank's shares have lost about 25% of their value.

The shares were down more than 3% in early trading on Thursday as the bank reported that pre-tax profits for the year jumped 25% to £4.4bn.

Higher revenue and lower costs helped profits advance, the bank said, particularly at its international business.

ashington – Four members of the Senate Finance Committee have started probing the U.S. Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) after numerous inspector general audits and news reports raised questions about the adequacy of patient safety standards, suggested thousands of available organs are not being used, and highlighted questionable financial practices of some organ procurement organizations (OPOs).

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Sens. Todd Young (R-Ind.) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.) have sent an expansive request for information and data to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), which was contracted by Congress nearly four decades ago to oversee the OPTN.

“Recent reports of lapses in patient safety, misuse of taxpayer dollars, and tens of thousands of organs going unrecovered or not transplanted lead us to question the adequacy of UNOS’ oversight of these [organ procurement organizations]. According to CMS, 20 Americans die each day because an organ transplant remains out of reach,” the senators wrote.

“Media reports and OIG audits point to a serious lack of accountability, transparency, and objective donor standards that have allowed underperforming [organizations] to continue operating.”

The requests for information about the organ procurement and transplant process and various OPOs include:

· Legally required periodic performance reviews of OPOs;

· Audits of OPOs that suggest the government’s Medicare program was billed for unallowable expenditures;

· Data related to OPOs identified as ‘underperforming’ or not in good standing over the last ten years;

· Data and documentation related to delayed, mishandled or damaged organs over the last ten years;

· Data relating to the number of organs not recovered or not transplanted over the last ten years; and

· Information relating to the financial improprieties or conflicts of interest of OPOs over the last ten years.

Boeing hits all-time low with ZERO orders in January.

American aerospace giant Boeing has scored no orders for new jets last month for the first time in nearly 60 years,

having delivered just 13 planes to its customers amid the ongoing 737 MAX crisis.

While the beginning of the year is usually a very slow month for plane makers, European rival Airbus managed to log 274 commercial aircraft orders in January,

including two big sales to US airlines, and also delivered 31 aircraft.

January's lack of orders follows a tough year for Boeing, when the aerospace giant faced its first annual loss in net revenue since 1997.

The company lost $636 million in 2019. Before the of 737 MAX crisis, nearly 60 airlines operated around 390 planes of the model and Boeing had a backlog of orders worth more than $500 billion.

Tesla Slides After Disclosing New SEC Subpoena And $2 Billion Capital Raise

Tesla shares are extending overnight losses (following the Model X recall) after announcing a $2 billion secondary stock offering and revealing in their newly filed 10-K that they were issued a new subpoena by the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to "certain financial data and contracts, including Tesla's regular financing arrangements".

The company's disclosure in its 10-K, which is buried in a bit of lawyer speak that appears to us to be arranged to hide the new subpoena behind news of a previous investigation ending, says:

On December 4, 2019, the SEC (i) closed the investigation into the projections and other public statements regarding Model 3 production rates and (ii) issued a subpoena seeking information concerning certain financial data and contracts including Tesla’s regular financing arrangements. Separately, the DOJ had also asked us to voluntarily provide it with information about the above matters related to taking Tesla private and Model 3 production rates.

Regarding the newly issued financing, the company stated:

Tesla today announced that it intends to offer approximately $2 billion of common stock in an underwritten registered public offering. Tesla has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to approximately $300 million of additional common stock.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, will participate by purchasing up to $10 million of common stock in this offering. In addition, Larry Ellison, a member of Tesla’s Board of Directors, will purchase up to $1 million of common stock.

The aggregate gross proceeds of the offering, assuming full exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase additional securities, would be approximately $2.3 billion before discounts and expenses. Tesla intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to further strengthen its balance sheet, as well as for general corporate purposes.

This decision comes just two weeks after Musk said on his company's earnings call that "it doesn't make sense to raise money... we are cashflow positive."

The estimate for 2020 is $2.49 billion, compared to a Bloomberg consensus range of $1.80 billion to $3.30 billion. Tesla said it expects operating expenses as a percentage of revenue to continue to decrease in the future.

The market is bemused with the new information; shares are down about 5% in the pre-market session so far.

Fort Deven - Home of Military Intel School

Fort Devens is an active United States Army military installation in the towns of Ayer and Shirley, in Middlesex County and Harvard in Worcester County in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. It was named after jurist and Civil War general Charles Devens. The nearby Devens Reserve Forces Training Area is located in Lancaster. Although closed in 1996, the fort was reopened the next day as the Devens Reserve Forces Training Area. The name reverted to Fort Devens in May 2007.

China Official Who Tore Down Church Crosses to Oversee Hong Kong

(Bloomberg) - China named an official previously known for tearing crosses from the roofs of churches to lead the agency that oversees Hong Kong, in the biggest shakeup yet after months of unrest.

Xia Baolong, 67, the vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, will replace Zhang Xiaoming as director of the Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office, the State Council said Thursday. Xia is a former close aide to President Xi Jinping who served as Communist Party chief of Zhejiang province during a crackdown on Christian churches several years ago.

The move follows last month’s appointment of Luo Huining, a cadre known for executing Xi’s anti-corruption campaign, as head of China’s Liaison Office in Hong Kong. The statement announcing Xia’s new title Thursday also made clear for the first time that the chief liaison reports directly to the Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office. Zhang will become a vice director in charge of “routine work.”

“The reshuffling at this interesting moment may point to a deep distrust from Xi Jinping toward the former faction dealing with Hong Kong affairs,” said Sonny Lo, a Hong Kong-based academic and political commentator.

“It’s clear that Xi Jinping wants to have a clear grasp of the situation in Hong Kong - that’s the major point,” Lo added. “We’ll probably see some adjustment in Chinese policy toward Hong Kong.”

The appointment of such a senior official potentially indicates a permanent overhaul in how Beijing manages the former British colony. The Communist Party issued a communique late last year signaling greater intervention in everything from education in Hong Kong to how the city picks its leader.

Xia’s push in 2014 and 2015 to tear down crosses on the roofs of churches in ­the eastern province of Zhejiang was widely criticized by the international community. He was subsequently appointed to a leadership role on the CPPCC, the nation’s political advisory body and a post usually seen as a transition toward retirement for senior leaders.

Under Pressure

Hong Kong’s government, having weathered months of mass protests, now faces deepening public distrust over its handling of the spread of a coronavirus outbreak centered on the mainland that’s led to runs on surgical masks and toilet paper and shuttered local schools through March. Chief Executive Carrie Lam has been under pressure from some groups, including health care workers, to fully seal off the border with mainland China.

Though she stopped short of doing so, key checkpoints are largely closed, including the ferry terminal that links Hong Kong and Macau. The gaming hub, meanwhile, has been forced to temporarily close its casinos.

Lam said in a statement Thursday she welcomed Xia’s appointment, adding that it showed “the central government attaches importance to Hong Kong and Macau affairs.”

Xia’s appointment came as much of the region was focused on China’s sudden replacement of top officials in virus-stricken Hubei. On Thursday, China announced it was replacing Jiang Chaoliang, the party’s Hubei secretary.

Newly revealed anti-Trump views of the foreperson of the jury that convicted former Trump adviser Roger Stone - and new revelations about the political ties of other jurors - have raised questions about how the case was handled and whether Stone's lawyers could seek a new trial.

Former Memphis City Schools Board President Tomeka Hart revealed Wednesday that she was the foreperson of the jury that convicted Stone on obstruction charges last year - and soon afterward, her history of Democratic activism and a string of her anti-Trump, left-wing social media posts came to light. Hart confirmed to CNN and other media organizations that she had written a Facebook post supporting the Justice Department prosecutors in the Stone case who abruptly stepped down from their posts Tuesday, saying she "can't keep quiet any longer." The prosecutors apparently objected after senior DOJ officials overrode their recommendation to Jackson that Stone face up to nine years in prison.

In addition, it was revealed that U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson had denied a defense request to strike a potential juror who was Obama-era press official with admitted anti-Trump views - and whose husband worked at the same Justice Department division that handled the probe leading to Stone's arrest. All these revelations raised the prospect that Stone's team could again seek a new trial, especially if Hart provided inaccurate responses under oath on her pretrial questionnaires concerning social media activity.

Meanwhile, lawmakers, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., called on Attorney General William Barr to resign over his handling of the Stone case. The House Judiciary Committee announced Wednesday it will question Barr during a March 31 hearing.

I think I have a very juicy read for you.

Why does Q put things in [brackets]?

I know we know it as a killbox, but what exactly does that mean?

What's its purpose?

To understand what I'm going to hypothesize, you need to first understand how secret societies work.

We've been digging Q drops for almost 3 years now.

That means we have 3 years of experience digging the individual drops. Focusing on each one and pulling the relevant data and connections out that we can.

But what about the meta?

What is meta? In a word, it's transcending.

Information that in the singular represents an entire set of data that informs. Obfuscation of the individual for clarity of the collectivized.

I believe the [killbox] is just that. The metadata for the collective drops spread through time.

So lets try to prove this:

[1] first occurs with drop 498 on 7 Jan 2018

On that date there were several drops that use this marker, and most of them appeared to be working to establish a proof with POTUS twat.

But this being the first year for use of markers, it appears Q is attempting to establish the players in the classified investigation that can't otherwise be talked about.

drop 524 establishes that

[1] = Hussein

[2] = He who has no name

[3] = HRC/BC

[4] = NP

With that established, drops going forward can have names subbed for the markers.

Drop 718 implies that [1] Hussein targeted those 71 souls that died on the Russian plane crash.

Q then goes on to explain that [1]Hussein had a source that was used for [2] Mcstain. Is there someone on that plane that connects Hussein and Mcstain?

The next instance of [1] occurs with drop 740 on Feb 11 2018.

It implies that prisons are being created and prepared to hold those arrested.

[1] Hussein to be arrested?

Well, drop 1068 goes on to say day [1].

We know from other drops that the first arrest will set the tone for everyone.

Considering the 2018 use of marker [1], who would that imply is the first arrest?

The next drop, 1376, implies that [1] Hussein made a speech, a speech that resulted in the 187 of someone.

Who was that someone? What is the other meta data of that drop? That drop was about the death of Officer Familia.

This is the first time there's a real actionable item we can go seek to prove this.

When did Officer Familia die?

What speeches did [1] Hussein give around that time frame?

Anything anomalous about it? Any code, symbols or references that would imply a go order to murder the police officer?

Why was the police officer murdered? (Wiener?)

For 2018 the markers established the players 1-4. Then they expanded on the player's activities through the year.

Army scientists on verge of nearly unbreakable battery

ADELPHI, Md. - During an era of modernized warfare, a small cadre of Army scientists have pioneered an all but invincible, lightweight battery set to roll-out by 2024, officials say, with Soldier feedback expected next year.

Whether isolated in the bone-chilling arctic or taking enemy fire in the most barren-regions of the Middle-East, when troops - who often rely on battery-powered technology - need dependable energy in extreme conditions, they call the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command's Army Research Laboratory, or ARL, said Dr. Cynthia Lundgren, an electrochemist, and ARL's Energy Storage branch chief.

Scenarios like these are at the heart of ARL's scientific research. Located outside the nation's capital, ARL scientists have meticulously engineered sheets of bendable, water-based, non-flammable, longer-lasting lithium-ion batteries intended to support warfighting efforts.

"We're making a modernized power source that's lighter, safer, and abuse tolerant," she said.

From initially publishing a 2015 study in the Science journal outlining ways to meet the Army's needs, to engineering prototypes in 2020, the team - alongside industry partners at the University of Maryland - have moved at an unprecedented pace, Lundgren said, and have cut normal research time in half.

"We are moving quickly," said Dr. Arthur von Wald Cresce, ARL material scientist. "We're significantly speeding up our timeline, so instead of a 10-year development and engineering process, we're hoping to compress ours into a few years."

Although a swift pace is important, especially in the age of near-peer competitors, the safety of Soldiers remains a top priority, he said.

"We've already heard from Soldiers, and to them a battery is just one more thing to worry about," Cresce said. "But, if the battery is no longer dangerous, it's a lot less concerning to wear. The Future Soldier will have more and more electronic components and more and more electronic warfare."

Next year, a Soldier touchpoint is slated for the new battery technology. Then, scientists will receive Soldier feedback on the prototype. If all goes well, the team hopes to work alongside industry partners to engineer a more advanced prototype that will be similar to what will ultimately be used Army-wide around 2024, Cresce said.

For now, standard lithium-ion batteries are widely used in Army devices - like in GPS technology, night-vision systems, radios, lasers, etc. - but, they don't always fare well in combat, Cresce said.

Typical batteries can be potentially dangerous during military operations, he said, where thermal and wear-and-tear become more prevalent. Under these conditions, traditional batteries can be unreliable, catch fire or even explode.

"The average consumer is not rolling around on rocks, jumping off of vehicles, or jumping out of airplanes with all of their gear," Lundgren said. "Our military sponsors are doing all of that and more. They are under a lot of stress and they can't always pay attention to how they are treating their gear, so we set out to make the battery safer."

Armed to produce flexible, waterproof battery technology, the team developed a more stable energy source that is able to conform to any shape and size. They have chopped up the new technology, dropped it in water, and conducted ballistic tests.

During every test, their batteries have been successful.

To make this technology, ARL scientists replaced the batteries' electrolyte agent - which generally consists of soluble salts, acids, and more - with water, a simpler solution. This also ensured the batteries could be waterproof, the theory first published in Science.

You need to find the markers on an annual rolling basis.

Each year starts with a new set of markers informing the previous year's metadata.

In effect, for 2019, we need to find each marker [1]-[whatever] in 2019.

Now here's the hard part, once you find the marker you need to look at the surrounding and relevant drops as if they're a magic eye, figuratively.

You need to pull the metadata for the drops surrounding each marker and paint the picture.

Reveal the point the drops are trying to make about the marker.

As I showed in the last post about drop 3004,

It was the first use of [1] for 2019.

It basically esablished the status of the previous years markers 1-4.

Now go forward and backwards in the year and find the other markers.

When Q implies [] is the killbox, that means it's metadata relevant to particular markers established in other drops.

So for example in drop 3004

Does that imply [RR] is the metadata point relevant to [1], where [1] is Hussein who is the actual kill target?

Last month the DOJ admitted to the FISA court that two of the four FISA warrants used against Carter Page were fraudulently obtained.

The “DOJ assesses that with respect to the applications in [April and June 2017] “if not earlier, there was insufficient predication to establish probable cause to believe that [Carter]Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power.”” (link)

However, what the DOJ did not admit publicly was how the current FBI Chief Legal Counsel, Dana Boente, participated in obtaining the April 2017 warrant. Additionally, a review of the internal FBI & DOJ scheme to obtain the fraudulent April warrant shows FBI Director James Comey couldn’t get the renewal unless he convinced Main Justice to trick the President into issuing an executive order to grant surveillance on himself.

In hindsight this story explains the ongoing issues within the FBI.

The original FISA application was October 21st, 2016. The first FISA renewal was January 12, 2017 (84 days from origination) and prior to the inauguration of President Trump. The second renewal was April 7, 2017 (85 days from prior renewal). The third renewal was on June 29th, 2017 (83 days from prior renewal).

The originating FISA and first renewal were authorized by the Obama administration officials. However, it was the second renewal -now identified as fraudulent- on April 7th 2017, under the Trump administration, when the conniving FBI ran into a problem.

Here’s what happened.

On January 30th, 2017, Sally Yates was fired for refusing to defend the Trump travel ban from extremist countries. Yates was replaced on January 31st by the U.S. Attorney from the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA), Dana Boente. There wasn’t any existing AG because Loretta Lynch had left.

As a result of Yates exit and Dana Boente’s entry, Boente was Acting Deputy Attorney General, and in charge until Jeff Sessions was confirmed on February 8th, 2017.

California lab says it discovered coronavirus vaccine in 3 hours

An American biotech company says it created a coronavirus vaccine three hours after getting access to the virus' genetic sequence on Jan. 9, and now scientists are racing to get the vaccine on the market in record time.

Inovio Pharmaceuticals is based in Pennsylvania, but scientists in its laboratory in San Diego made the discovery.

"We have an algorithm which we designed, and we put the DNA sequence into our algorithm and came up with the vaccine in that short amount of time," Inovio's research and development director Dr. Trevor Smith told KVUE.

China has reported 254 new daily deaths and a spike in new daily virus cases of 15,152, after new methodology was applied in the hardest-hit province of Hubei as to how cases are categorized.

Inovio's vaccine for COVID-19, as health officials have named the virus, could be ready as early as this summer. Inovio's stock jumped to $5.32 a share a few days after the company announced it was selected to work on a coronavirus vaccine. Shares are now at $3.34, back to where they were a month ago.

The American company is partnering with Beijing Advaccine, a Chinese company, to work on the vaccine.

The U.S. government’s sale of 30-year bonds Thursday is likely to draw a record low yield near 2% after the Treasury rally spurred by the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus in China and around the world helped drive rates across the curve to multi-month lows.

Trading of Treasury securities leading into the auction suggests the new debt will yield around 2.08%. That’s below the all-time low of 2.17% for a 30-year sale that was achieved in October.

The Treasury Department auctions 30-year bonds every month - a new issue every three months that determines the coupon rate, followed by two re-openings of that same security to expand the size of the offering. Thursday’s sale, which is a new issue and takes place at 1 p.m. New York time, could also result in a record low coupon rate of 2% if it is awarded between 2% and 2.125%. Longer-dated yields rose in the immediate aftermath of last week’s quarterly refunding announcement, with the curve steepening after the Treasury left market participants with the impression that it won’t reduce 10- or 30-year auction sizes to accommodate new issuance at the 20-year tenor. The 30-year yield rose as high as 2.16%, although it has since pulled back to around 2.07%. That’s comfortably below the record low auction yield for the tenor, but still above last year’s record secondary-market low of 1.904%.
