Dynamically generates social images.

There is more to the process than simply generating the image. We also need a cache-busting bot in order to update the card periodically. If we want to show a growing number of comments over time, we cannot wait for Twitter to bust the cache once per week. It still won't update instantly, but if a tweet has been floating around for a while it will show an accurate comment count even if it is more than when the tweet went out originally.

Twitter does not expose their cache-busting feature via API, so we had to ping it via browser automation.

It's a Ruby file which makes use of Capybara and Selenium to automate the process of pinging the Twitter card cache validation. It makes use of basically these three methods:

I was baking a few months back and had a mutiny in my bread by the [wearethenewsnow] “fam”. Last night one of them “Magevelli” was shilling for their twatter page name/fame fagging and we need to cut this shit out right now.

1.) their site isnt why 8kun is around. They disrespect bakers in their breads, and CONSTANTLY call out for changes to breads so [their site] scrapes 8kun correctly.

This is BULLSHIT. I fended off a few that night and will defend the dough/bread again.

The notable fuckery from that night and last are as follows:

1.) was asked “do you know who I am” in regards to [them] holding a spot socially of importance over other bakers/anonsunacceptable

2.) was told not to use their site because I refused to bend to what [they] wanted done w bread. They are NOT OWNERS OF THE KITCHEN/OVEN and are NOT to be telling bakers wtf to do.. they have ZERO issue coming in and screwing w baker while on duty.

3.) last night fame/name fagging their offsite accounts on Twatter.. not to mention they are here baking now and said “they try to have good titles because not all bakers do” in regards to notables, talking down on other bakers.. again feeling they are above other bakers in social order/importance.

I herby formally put up for public baker record/vote to remove THEIR PRIVATE WEBSITE from dough.

This goes against EVERYTHING Q has spoken about.

1.) we are all equal

2.) no self promoting, for gods sake they are doing it in the dough

3.) super shitty attitude toward bakers when the bread isnt perfect so THEIR website works correctly via Java.

I am spreading this to other bakers I am aware of, and will be posting on main board.
