Not an easy role to play though. Think they found a good balance between sane and unhinged for Isaac. They could easily have gone off the deep end and into camp territory, but he kept the performance grounded. That makes it harder to sit through when he turns on Emma.

That opening credits sequence was really beautiful – very much like the opening to Corman’s Poe adaptation Pit and the Pendulum (1961) – very colourful, which is a welcomed change from the usual dreary and dark colour palette in most horror films. The open shot with Isaac’s mother washing her bloody hands in the sink was great too.

Wish the film would had kept all the weird, unnatural elements to the dream scenes. When the sword is thrown back from the sea it kinda lessened the impact of the film’s end. Deranged cultists acting on their beliefs can be just as eerie and disturbing without revealing whether or not they are right or wrong.

Also, when the big twist comes and Isaac is sacrificed instead of Emma, it struck me as very contrived that the cultists tied her up and put her on the raft. That was just to trick the audience.

Some of the lighting was beautifully done; at times it was a bit too much, especially some of the kitchen scenes were too saturated in orange – maybe the wooden panelling made it look that way?

Some fun nods to HPL thru the film too, which was nice. Really prefer this more subtle take on it, than the all out monster films.

At first I found it hard to imagine Emma going to Renate, but when I thought about afterwards, she only knew Renate was involved with these strange customs. As the audience we, of course, expects her to be a sinister character, but Emma couldn’t have known the cult was Wicker Man style crazy.

That makes it harder to sit through when he turns on Emma.

When he wakes up and doesn't give a shit that she is hyperventilating from a nightmare was when I paused it to comment. It felt like there wasn't much of him shown as anything more thank blank in the beginning to show much change. We see him say "a lady is present" at the bar and that's about it. And even that can be said by anyone keeping up appearances. There was no 'original' Isaac for me to care for to lament his 'change'.

>That opening credits sequence was really beautiful

Yes, LOVED the opening credits but the colour scheme got overdone and quick.

>Some of the lighting was beautifully done; at times it was a bit too much

The phrase 'paint by numbers' came to mind when considering the lighting. For the most part it lacked something, maybe atmosphere? Though I did like the nightmare with the glowing amulets in the night scene. Like a fun retro 80s horror.

>Deranged cultists acting on their beliefs can be just as eerie and disturbing without revealing whether or not they are right or wrong.

Agreed.

>Also, when the big twist comes and Isaac is sacrificed instead of Emma, it struck me as very contrived that the cultists tied her up and put her on the raft. That was just to trick the audience.

Again agreed. I was surprised for a split second when she was tied as I was sure that Isaac was to be slaughtered. But even then presumed it would play out as it did. The narrative has been done before. As soon as he spoke of his dad at the house, I had suspicions. These suspicions were cemented with the bar scene that followed. Made me think of that Niven and Kerr movie Eye of the Devil.

>When he wakes up and doesn't give a shit that she is hyperventilating from a nightmare was when I paused it to comment.

Yeah, that was a rather odd reaction. It was also a bit weird how he just got out of the car and went for the front door when they arrived, without helping or making sure his pregnant wife was OK.

When they are looking at the painting of the boat caught in a storm I got the implication that he was a Christian; at least he had been raised Christian, yet he is very quick to abandon that and his wife to join this new, weird cult he’s just found out about.

>Yes, LOVED the opening credits but the colour scheme got overdone and quick.

They blew their load too quickly. It would be pretty hard to keep up after an opening like that.

>I guess she stays. Voluntarily not sure.

Sounds exactly like what happened to Isaac’s mother, only she managed to get away when she found out they were going to sacrifice her son.

Since their sacrifice, Isaac, got away they would have to find another person to sacrifice, yes? Maybe that person was Renate’s husband? That would explain why it felt like a catharsis for her when she finally sacrifices Isaac – if he hadn’t managed to get away, maybe her husband would still be alive?

>Kek. Emma should've punched Isaac in the mouth when they got home.

Some of their interactions were quite fun tbh. The talk about whales and harpooning…

>I thought they would have sex and that Astrid would get pregnant so they wouldn't need Emma if she escaped or died. Lol.

Was certain it’d be some kind of Innsmouth-style story where the baby, Isaac & Emma’s, would be some eldritch abomination, but my expectations were pleasantly subverted. I think that kind of story has been doPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Faster!

There's no earthly way of knowing

which direction we are going

There's no knowing where we're rowing

or which way the river's flowing

Is it raining? Is it snowing?

Is a hurricane a blowing?

Not a spec of light is showing

so the danger must be growing

Are the fires of hell a glowing?

Is the grisly reaper mowing?

Yes! The danger must be growing

for the rowers keep on rowing

And they're certainly not showing

any signs that they are slowing

Finally got around to watching this. Can't believe I went all these years without realising there was a sequel.

Terrence was an idiot like that dweeb in the Evil Dead remake.

>aware performing A, B, C will make the evil happen

>proceeds to perform A, B, C

>evil happens

>*acts shocked

The underworld setting near the end reminded me of a setting in one of the Hellraiser movies, can't think which one. One of the sequels I think, also with teenagers?

The father buried his son in jeans and a leather jacket? Kek.

>this time Terry deliberately opens the gate to make a deal with the daemons from beyond.

What a smoothbrain.

>the practical effects, with one or two exceptions, look fantastic,

Yes they were impressive. Especially the little minion in the beginning.

>and the ending did feel wonky,

Understatement.

Some great one liners which I will webm momentarily.

>Terrence was an idiot like that dweeb in the Evil Dead remake.

Yeah, he really should have known better than to mess with that shit again – especially after

It might have been better if it was some new kid who heard the rumours of what happened, maybe someone who had recently moved into the house where Glen & Alex lived in the first one?

>The underworld setting near the end reminded me of a setting in one of the Hellraiser movies, can't think which one. One of the sequels I think, also with teenagers?

Loved the look of that place – so creepy and simple. I haven’t read this book yet, but from what I know about it, it sounds similar to William Hope Hodgson’s 1912 horror/fantasy novel The Night Land; it takes place millions of years into the future, after the Sun and all the stars have died out, and the entire world is a barren wasteland, lit only by the faint glow of residual vulcanism.

Haven’t seen a single Hellraiser film, but I’ve seen a clip of the second one, “Hellbound: Hellraiser II” (1988), and that might the one you are thinking of. It has that M. C. Escher-esque world and the massive shape, Leviathan, Lord of the Labyrinth, looming above it. That eerie, droning score playing over that scene supposedly contains a Morse code message: “I am God”. Here is the scene on YT: https://yewtu.be/watch?v=u2qT7GylRxw

>The father buried his son in jeans and a leather jacket? Kek.

That is pretty badass. Reminds me of the opening quote in Mandy:

<When I die

<Bury me deep

<Lay two speakers at my feet

<Wrap some headphones

<Around my head

<And rock and roll me

<When I’m dead

After all the shenanigans thru the film I half expected Lieut. Morgan to actually kill her and get away with it. The director has done a bunch of other films too, might be something else worth checking out on his filmography too.

Found out Barbara Crampton was on the episode of Creature Features dedicated to Messiah of Evil the other day. What are the odds? The constant ads are bad enough, but by far the most annoying part is the host. He is a fucking spaz and he is doing this horror host role all thru the interview. What a waste.

Just my opinion, but it might be that the importance of it to the artist is symbolized by exaggerating its size. Maybe fertility. There are similar things regarding women in ancient art as well. I'm no art history major, though.

That sounds more likely tbh., and there is often a comedic element to ukiyo-e art, plus it is often really weird from a Western perspective. The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife is overtly sexual, yet exaggerated to the point of comedy at the same time, or maybe that is my view as a Westerner.

Was looking up Erichthonius of Athens in Encyclopædia Britannica (Ninth Edition, obvi.), when I found an article on Erinna.

<ERINNA, a Greek poetess, the contemporary and friend of Sappho, was probably a native of Rhodes or the adjacent island of Telos, and was born about 630 B.C. Although she died at the early age of nineteen, her poems were amongst the most famous of her time. Of her best known poem, called Ἠλακάτη (the Distaff), which contained 300 lines, only four lines are now extant. It was written in a mixed dialect of Dorian and Eolian. Three epigrams in the Palatine anthology are also ascribed to her; but two of these are possibly spurious. Another poetess of this name is said to have flourished in the age of Demosthenes, but her existence if a matter of considerable uncertainity. The Erinna fragments were collected in Bergk’s Poetæ Lyrici Græci (Leipsic, 1867).

Getting a copy of the novelization of the webseries; what they really should have done is to get the cast to reprise their roles in audio dramas to continue the story of the webseries. In the UK audio dramas are quite popular, and you have countless original Doctor Who stories done that way.

Came across this book on the front page of Wikipedia. This whole lesbian pulp fiction sub-genre might be worth lokking into: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesbian_pulp_fiction

<Did you know…

<… that Women’s Barracks (cover pictured), regarded as a classic of lesbian pulp fiction, was banned in Canada and became the first paperback-original bestseller in the United States?

Got a giftcard for Christmas, and I am still looking at books. Aickman had been on my radar a while back, but it was only after I read the blurb on the back of The Late Breakfasters from 1964 (reprinted by Valancourt Books) that I was aware he wrote about lesbian relationships as well. Sounds like it might be another downer story, and Louise may or may not be a ghost…

<In The Late Breakfasters, young Griselda de Reptonville is invited by Mrs. Hatch to a house party at her country estate, Beams (which, incidentally, is haunted). There, amidst an array of eccentric characters and bizarre happenings, she will meet the love of her life, Louise. But when their short-lived relationship is cruelly cut short, Griselda must embark on a quest to recapture the happiness she has lost.

https://www.valancourtbooks.com/the-late-breakfasters.html

<Lesbian relationships clearly fascinated him. They form the clear subtext of a story such as "The School Friend", but even so that self-consciousness never impedes the advent of paranormal dread. His novel The Late Breakfasters, though not formally a ghost story, has a heroine who falls in love with an elusive maid she meets in a supposedly haunted country house. To love outside the norm, Aickman suggests, will always lead you into the realm of shadows.

Against the star-littered night-sky and the gibbous moon the ruined castle atop the hill dominated the surrounding moon-dappled landscape. Its several crumbling stone towers, chapel spire and ruined battlements still rising high above the trees that encircled the massive outer walls like an invading army. The old road that ran up the gently sloping hill from the wooded base had over the centuries sunk down, become worn away by the countless footfalls of people, till at last, a hollow way had formed, and the overhead branches made it seem like a tunnel. At the base of the hill old, defensive earthworks encircled it, long-since overgrown by trees and shrubberies, and it was now almost indistinguishable from the rest of the hill.

The sight of the ruined castle had always reminded her of the scenes Caspar David Friedrich painted so beautifully, and especially so on a chill, moonlit autumnal night. She watched the castle silhouetted against the night-sky as the car drove along the old gravel road through what had once been the main street of the old village. The bombastic intro of ‘The Moon Was Yellow’ gave away and Frank Sinatra’s smooth voice took over on the car stereo, and she had to admit that the song seemed to be made for the scene.

Ever since she had first heard the tales of Karnstein Castle and the noble family of which she was a distant descendant via a maternal line, Sara Weil had felt a pull towards the castle. She remembered seeing some of the old family portraits on the walls when visiting her grandparents at a quite young age. Even though the paintings were faded by age and blackened by dirt and time she felt a wonderful familial resemblance to one portrait in particular – written in gold in the corner of the portrait was a name: Mircalla Karnstein. It had felt like she was looking at her own reflection in a the water, only slightly distorted despite being separated from each other by centuries – in particular it was the eyes that gave it away. What had begun as a fascination with a distant relative had developed into an obsession; and the vague, hazy memories, or even fragments of memories that had been with her for as long as she could recall began to fit like the pieces of a puzzle when she began to research her long-dead relative – names, faces, places and events. She had ‘known’ where to go when Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

Darkness. The bed was soft and warm. She heard muffled footsteps approaching. Sara opened her eyes.

Oh, Rand. What happened?

It didn't work Miss Sara

It didn't bloody work. She mumbled under her breath. A quiet discomfort began to creep over her which quickly turned to a rising sense of embarrassment. What had she been thinking? Rand threw open the blind allowing the midday sun to pour into the room. Sara threw a pillow over her face. She couldn't bear the light on her eyes. From under the lightly resting pillow she addressed Rand.

I suppose you think I'm quite the fool, don't you.

Rand stood back and appraised his employer, casting his eye over her barely distinguishable figure hidden under folds upon folds of heavy bedding. Only two pale thin hands were visible at the edges of the pillow. Holding it in place to conceal her face.

It is two pm. Mr Morris will be here shortly to discuss the wedding.

And with that, Rand made for the door.

Bring me two ibuprofen will you? I feel a migraine coming on.

It was a strange sensation in fact. She did indeed feel the symptoms of a migraine approaching. A rawness of the senses. A state where stimuli becomes stronger and at times unbearable. Sound, taste, the light…And yet, at the same time, she felt quite wonderful. The latter being something not soon to be paired with a migraine. Curious.

Oh Jack! Whatever would she tell him? Sara jumped out of bed, quickly closing the blind as she did so. She resolved to tell him nothing. After all, nothing came of it. Why should he know anything of her bout of madness? Such a revelation might drive him away from her. Even so, the desire to hide from Jack grew stronger. She hadn't the energy to face this. What she did need, she decided, was a strong coffee. Yes coffee, that will do the trick. The coffee shop with the server who never smiled. What was her story anyway? Sara fancied the mystery of the girl that never smiled at the coffee house to be much morePost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Languidly she made her way down the grand staircase, clutching the railing to steady herself with her good hand, yet somehow succeeding in looking graceful. Her oversized sunglasses soothed her eyes as she stepped outside of the darkened entrance hall and made her way down the stone steps and short distance towards the waiting car. “Coffee shop, please.” Rand nodded and closed the car door for her, and she was thankfully prepared for the sound it made and its effect on her aching body. Whether it was due to the stress and long night, or the soul crushing blow that last night had resulted in utter failure, she grit her teeth and squinted her eyes as the car took off and the sensation of motion washed over her.

It would have been funny if it wasn’t so sad; all the money and time her parents had wasted on trying to ‘cure’ her from her paranoid delusions. If anyone had seen her last night, when Rand brought her back home in such a state… She would have been shipped off to yet another posh private clinic or institution in the middle of nowhere in the countryside to be medicated till she hardly knew what day it was. And to make matters worse the forced sessions of useless group therapy, and therapist sessions where some Freudian fraud diagnosed her with whatever nonsense they could, and prescribe more medication to keep her docile. She gently traced the length of the wound in her palm, now covered by the bandage. The pain had thankfully lessened, and Rand’s expertly applied bandage had stopped the bleeding quickly and effectively. No doubt her mother would notice and have a conniption fit. All in due time. She kept her head resting against the soft headrest of the backseat, and her eyes closed behind the dark-tinted sunglasses. She doubted simple painkillers could explain the way her senses were acting up, like she was becoming hyper-aware of her surroundings and coming down from a high at the same time. It was the strangest sensation ever, and not all that unpleasant.

“We’re here,” Rand announced, looking at her via the rear-view mirror when she made no effort to get out. The car had stopped, but her body still felt like they were driving, or on the open sea. “Are you sure you are feeling up tPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Narrow and dark, the coffee shop wedged between brick faces to either side, appeared little more than a door in a wall upon approaching. Once through the threshold however, and down a short corridor of not more than five feet, the premise opened up to a cosy scene. To the left, the counter and coffee machine. Along the right side of the wall were a number of small round tables coupled with one or two stools. Beyond the counter and toward the back wall were larger tables arranged in a booth like manner, whereupon customers lounged on comfortable cushioned supports with the wall acting as back rests. It was at one of these tables that Sara had placed herself, back to the wall, counter to her front right, and corridor entrance slightly to her left.

Satisfied with her ability to see the larger goings on of the cafe, Sara noticed with a tinge of disappointment that the girl was not present today. No matter, the idea of a hot drink still called to her, and the idea of returning to the house, and Jack, so soon did not appeal at all. An ever so small pang of guilt shot through her. She brushed it aside, ordering a tall black coffee from the waiting server. Her mind drifted back to Jack. His face popping in and out of her mind's eye.

They had met on campus. Before she had come into her inheritance. The dashing Mr. Morrisey swept Sara utterly off of her feet and before she knew it, she was accepting his marriage proposal. It was all so romantic, so perfect. She wondered why then, the sudden appearance of cold feet. Was it cold feet? Something felt out of place.

The coffee arrived. Steam visibly rising from the black liquid within the tall thin glass. She drank. While she welcomed the warmth rushing through her chest, she felt dissatisfied. The first sip did not provide the kick she was looking for and Sara began to wonder if she should instead head to a bar. An excellent idea. Sara determined that once finished with her pointless coffee she was going to get well and truly drunk. Eyes on her exit, she rose from her seat and gulped down the last of the drink. At this moment a figure came through the corridorPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Whatever reply she had in mind died away as she felt the warmth of the hand holding onto her wrist. It was not an unpleasant warmth, but it came as a surprise. “You are freezing,” the girl commented, and Sara felt her eyes watching her, studying her.

She’d never been this close to her before, and under any other circumstance it would have been a nice opportunity to try and figure out the strange girl who had interested her. But now she only wanted to get away as fast as possible. Here she was, standing in a café, bleeding all over the place from a self-inflicted knife-wound, and feeling, and probably looking, like she was recovering from a fever. Not the ideal way to make a first impression… “Really? I hadn’t noticed,” Sara excused, cringing at the hoarseness in her voice.

“Let’s take a look at that hand,” the girl stated, motioning for them to sit down at one of the nearby tables. Meanwhile a barrista had been designed to clean-up duty, picking up bits of broken glass and drops of blood. “Sorry about the mess,” Sara excused, addressing the barrista and removing her sunglasses with her good hand. Her attention was, however, quickly focused on the girl who never smiled, as she began to unwrap the bloodstained bandage. Sarah silently dreaded the moment when she would see the knife-wound. Was the girl a doctor or nurse, or would she be able to tell it was self-inflicted? “It was a stupid mistake…” Sara began, nearly stuttering, as her palm was uncovered and the wound was exposed. Unreadable blue eyes watched her, she she noticed a light spattering of freckles she’d never noticed before on the girl’s face. A shudder went though her body, beginning with the hand and spreading all throughout her body as the girl’s index finger softly traced the length of the cut. She had long, delicate fingers, perfect for playing piano, Sara thought, watching those long, pale fingers touching her hand. The other girl’s touch felt oddly warm against her own, like she’d been sunbathing on a beach, and Sara had been outside on a cool autumn day. It was a strange, oddly pleasant contrast, though the dull headache and the embarrassing nature of the situation was everything but pleasant.

IMHO the only weak links in the series are The Evil of Frankenstein & Frankenstein Created Woman. While The Horror of Frankenstein is often considered a letdown, due to the lack of Cushing as the baron, and the very dark comedic tone, it is a really enjoyable film, and one of the underappreciated Hammer films.

The two first films are fantastic, and Brides is perhaps more enjoyable than the original despite Lee not returning as count Dracula. The following films does not feature Cushing as Van Helsing till Dracula A.D. 1972, and Lee’s mostly, if not completely, silent Dracula doPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Found this podcast called Hammer Horror Podcast covering the Hammer horror films. In one episode from 2014(?) they interview Hammer actor Shane Briant. Only seen him in Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell (1974) & Captain Kronos – Vampire Hunter (1974) so far. Really underrated actor IMHO, and it is a real shame he never appeared in more Gothic horror films for Hammer. As evident from the interview he lives Down Under now.

https://hammerhorrorpodcast.com/shane-briant-insight-into-the-master-of-evil/

<HHP: I just want to touch on [Captain Kronos – Vampire Hunter], because, its interestingly established a cult following, and I just wanted to know what you think is its appeal, and indeed the appeal of vampire stories in general.

<SB: Well, I’m getting a bit fed-up with vampire stories now, cause there are too many of them. Every second film you see on Foxtel is about vampires. The kind of vampire stories I like now are the European vampire stories, there was one I saw, and I can’t remember its name now, but it was about two modern-day lesbian vampires in Sweden. And that was pretty hot. I liked that. And I like the really old ones like Nosferatu.

Sounds like /ourguy/ to me. Any idea what film he was talking about?

Also, here is their coverage of ‘The Karnstein Trilogy’: https://hammerhorrorpodcast.com/2013/10/31/the-karnstein-trilogy-the-vampire-lovers-1970-lust-for-a-vampire-1971-twins-of-evil-1971/

Had a listen to the soundtracks to The Vampire Lovers & Lust For A Vampire earlier, and Ingrid Pitt & Yutte Stensgaard wrote introductions included with the CD releases. Hammer scholar Marcus Hearn also provides a lot of background and insight on the production of The Vampire Lovers.

You can find them on RuTracker.org – great DL speed on both:

Harry Robinson - The Vampire Lovers (1970) (CD, 2000) FLAC

Various Artists - The Hammer Vampire Film Music Collection (2001) FLAC

The soundtrack to Lust For A Vampire didn’t get a CD release on its own, but the five tracks are included in The Hammer Vampire Film Music Collection. There is a brief part in the opening theme (The Opening Credits) that reminded me of the opening theme to Dark Shadows.

Watched the 2018 docu Hammer Horror: The Warner Bros Years by Marcus Hearn the other day. Did not care at all for two of the guys being interviewed, and director Peter Sasdy turns out to be subversive asshole, but there are some cool BTS photos and footage, and the interviews with the actors were great; especially Veronica Carlson & Madeline Smith. Even though the film titled Hammer Horror they spend a lot of time on some of the thrillers, scifi/comedies and adventure films Hammer churned out at the same time.

I think the film is up on YT, but I can only recommend the interviews with the actors tbqh.

>I don't mind Blaire White.

Aye, Blaire seems pretty on the level, and Line Trap/Bailey Jay too, who is a big fan of cheesy B-movies/horror and Vincent Price. Bailey also did a retro horror hostess show as Shemalia, a homage to Vampira and Elvira some years ago.

Then you have individuals like the fellow in Canada who sued a beauty salon when they refused to wax his balls, and the “it’s Ma’am!” character.

Bailey/Line Trap actually has a Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bailey_Jay

I remember back in the good ol’ days on 4chan /b/ when anons were discussing if Line Trap was a guy or a girl, based on some photos of Line Trap attending some convention or something.

Found this Christmas edition of Film Fiasco on Vimeo. Not sure how many episodes they made of that show, but it is kinda fun, and Bailey appears to have a good sense of humour. Remember seeing a screencap of Bailey calling out some PC BS on Twitter as well.

Everything from HookTube/YouTube embeds to WebMs & mp4 and everything else music related – not necessarily sapphic in nature, though that is a big plus.

Listening to t.A.T.u. is a guilty pleasure of mine – there are quite a few witch house remixes of their songs worth checking out too. The music video to All The Things She Said is probably the most famous lesbian-themed music video of all time.

Yes, Chelsea’s music (and ASMR) is very soothing to the soul.

First case here was a doctor(!) down in Oslo at the biggest hospital in the country. Yesterday it was 15, today it is up to 18. If I remember correctly the good doctor had just been to vacation to Italy, and when experiencing mild sympthoms, asked if s/he should test, but was told “nah, it’ll be fine”.

Looks like it is all happening down in the capital for now.

I’d be shitting bricks too if I had to be around kids all day. Hospitals and school are among the last places you’d wanna hang around during an epidemic. Have you started prepping for the apocalypse?

>I think I've mentioned to you before how I get addicted to tracking happenings. Well this one is quite the happening. I have a problem.

It helps having something to occupy yourself with, right? Any idea what is behind it? Some Chinese bio-weapon gone wrong? That South Korean “death cult” plotting to end the world by infecting everyone?

Insanity isn't it. I was about to say your numbers had caught up to ours but we have more than doubled all of a sudden to around 50 cased that are acknowledged.

>Hospitals and school are among the last places you’d wanna hang around during an epidemic.

I know right? For now I am shit out of luck. They are not even talking about it at school now. One mention a month ago about some students in quarantine and that's it. I am swamped with planning, marking, and upcoming events while also expecting it stop at any moment.

>Have you started prepping for the apocalypse?

I am a terrible prepper. About enough to sustain me for a couple of weeks if rationing.

>It helps having something to occupy yourself with, right?

I suppose so. Though it has been draining my sleep. Most world streaming updates are in the middle of the night here.

>Any idea what is behind it? Some Chinese bio-weapon gone wrong? That South Korean “death cult” plotting to end the world by infecting everyone?

The South Korean death cult is straight out of a movie eh. Incredibly effective. 1 lady to over 5000 spanning the entire country.

The proposition that China accidentally released it is more than plausible considering not too long ago they left a crater in Tianjin.

Yeah, and just last month there was a massive outbreak of the flu; 310 students were home sick at the same time, at a school with 826 students in total: https://www.nrk.no/trondelag/massivt-influensautbrudd-i-trondheim-_-310-elever-syke-ved-samme-skole-1.14902663

>I am a terrible prepper. About enough to sustain me for a couple of weeks if rationing.

Guess it must be a lot harder to go off the grid/innawoods down there too, with all the creepy-crawlies you guys have down there, not to mention the high temperature probably makes it harder to preserve food.

>I suppose so. Though it has been draining my sleep. Most world streaming updates are in the middle of the night here.

Caught some of Mister Metokur’s latest streams about the outbreak, and it sounds like he’s got a similar fixation on the oubtreak like you, though I’m almost certain you’ve got him beat with that 4,4GB Corona folder.

Btw., back in the late 1890s/early 1900s Theodor Kittelsen did a number of illustrations for a book on the Black Death, and some of them feature original plague-death-chan! Her name is Pesta (Plague), and she carried a besom and a rake as she traveled the country; if she used a besom when she arrived at a farm she would kill everyone there, but if she used the rake a few would survive, escaping like leaves through the teeth of a rake.

Holy mother of based, the dyke gang isn't just a thought experiment anymore. After reading the claim on /tv/ that t.A.T.u. were faux lesbians I decided to investigate a bit and while it turns out that is true, one of the singers has a dyke gang mentality. She wouldn't accept a gay son ("a fag" like she said in the interview) and said it "isn't natural" but wouldn't mind a lesbian daughter and said girls with girls are "aesthetically nicer".
