A Hawaiian man knocked out a Democratic congressional candidate with one punch after he allegedly threatened to shoot a woman at a Maui beach.
Police say Kirill Basin, 40, became enraged after a 61-year-old man asked him to lower his music.
Basin allegedly threatened to shoot the man’s wife and several bystanders.
A local man seen approaching in the background confronted Basin, knocked him out, then calmly told him to stop threatening people.
Police say Basin later pulled a knife and continued threatening people.
When officers arrived, he allegedly threw the knife into the ocean.
The same bystander swam out, recovered the knife, and handed it to police.
Basin was charged with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening. Bail was set at $1 million.
Police say he has also been arrested in other assault and property-damage cases since May, and several people have obtained temporary restraining orders against him.

On February 28, 1972, President Nixon visited Peking. Nixon went to Red China seeking to exploit the divide between Moscow and Mao. Driving a wedge between them helped hasten the end of the Soviet Union, but look at what Red China got out of the deal.
Over the next 54 years, Red China cheated, stole and lied its way to world economic domination. Last year, despite President Trump’s tariffs, the Evil Empire posted a record trade surplus of $1.2 trillion.
While our government is adding $2 trillion a year to the national debt to fluff the economy,Red China is raking in a trillion bucks a year in profit.
That’s a lot of money to spread around the world.
It owns colleges and universities across America and the Western world. Politicians too. Its 2025 plan from 10 years ago seems to be on target.
Consider steel. In 2025, Red China produced 961 million tons. The total global output was 1,849 million tons.
India was the runner-up at 165 million tons. The USA was third with 82 million tons. Japan was fourth with 81 million tons.
The political push worldwide to fight global cooling/global warming/climate change requires everywestern nation to make sacrifices while Red China and India get a pass. Red China found a way to profit from this egregious error:
Itdominates solar panelsand supply chain production, accountingfor 80% of global manufacturingcapacity (polysilicon, wafers, cells, and modules.
Red Chinaproduces 70% of EV batteries. Chinese firms dominate cell and material supply.
Half the electric vehicles in the world are made in Red China. It also is the world’s top overall vehicle producer (about one-third of global output).
Red China makes 60% of the windmills.
It processes 90% of rare earthelements including lithium, cobalt and graphite.
And of course,Red China leads the world in manmade viruses. Satan doesn’t care what the rest of the world thinks about biological warfare.
Economic modernization took off under Deng Xiaoping’s reforms from late 1978 onward.Autonomy gradually was given to the people running state companies.
Red China followed the same game planthat Germany and Japan did to become manufacturing power—exploit the good will of Americans. Our economy was so big in the 1950s that we thought we could just buy their trinkets and toys and help them climb out of their bombed-out bunkers, and they did.

The US military has effectively run out of high-precision land-based tactical missiles due to its campaign against Iran, Reuters has reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. (Reuters are the biggest liars and traitors against Trump and the U.S.)
Multiple media reports and independent assessments havesignaled shortages of critical sophisticated munitions in the US inventory since a Center for Strategic and International(CSIS) report published in April. Apart from draining the Pentagon’s attack capabilities,the conflict is believed to have put a major dent in the US stock of anti-aircraft missiles. The country’s leadership has repeatedly denied such assertions, insisting it still has plenty of munitions.
According to Reuters sources the Iran conflict has depleted the US Army’s stock of surface-to-surface missiles, namely Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM),with two sources telling the agency the military has used “virtually all” of those weapons.
While the degree to which the US military exhausted its stock of ATACMS was not previously known,the apparent exhaustion of the PrSM stockhas been repeatedly reported since mid-April. The munition, slated to replace the aging ATACMS, was not plentiful to begin with – the Pentagon had ordered 130 before the 2024 fiscal year and a further 250 in 2025, and it was not immediately clear how many units had actually been delivered.The new missiles ended up being used against Iran without undergoing a proper testing cycle.
In mid-April, a US Army official admitted that a unit equipped with PrSM exhausted its entire inventory early in the conflict. Later that month, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) released an analysis concluding that the US military had dangerously depleted its stockpiles of critical munitions in the war on Iran. Namely,in the first seven weeks the Pentagon expended at least 45% of its PrSM stock, nearly 50% of its Patriot interceptors, and over half of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missiles, according to the assessment.
Late last month, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal reported that USPresident Donald Trump had opted to shelve a new major attack on Iran because of the dwindling supply of air defense missiles. The US leader dismissed those claims however, insisting the US has “far more munitions than anyone in the world and far more than we need.”

The banks only retroactively flagged the suspicious activity after Epstein’s rearrest in 2019. Only then did JPMorgan flag 4,725 wire transfers totaling $1.1 billion.

Active supply chain attack on npm: keyv and cacheable are compromised right now, and the payload is a worm.
The maintainer account behind both package families was compromised. On August 4, ten packages were republished with a malicious preinstall hook that steals your credentials, then uses those credentials to publish itself into more packages. Malicious versions are live on npm as I write this.
These are foundational packages. keyv, cacheable, flat-cache, and file-entry-cache sit deep in dependency trees as transitive deps of common tooling like ESLint. Tens of millions of weekly downloads. Most affected users never installed them directly.
What the payload does:
• preinstall hook (setup.mjs) downloads a standalone Bun runtime and runs the second stage under it, sidestepping the host Node version and any Node-level monitoring
• Harvests cloud and CI credentials: AWS/GCP/Azure keys, HashiCorp Vault tokens, Kubernetes service account tokens, GitHub Actions OIDC, and npm tokens
• Repackages other npm packages with the same hook and republishes them through npm OIDC trusted publishing. This is what makes it a worm.
• Exfiltrates over DNS and by committing stolen secrets to attacker-created GitHub repos
• Plants autostart hooks in .claude and .vscode that execute when a developer or an AI coding agent opens the cloned repo. No npm install required.
The detail worth sitting with: keyv@6.0.0 shipped with a passing npm provenance attestation. The build pipeline faithfully attested a source that was already trojanized. Signature verification alone did not stop this.

The US military has effectively run out of high-precision land-based tactical missiles due to its campaign against Iran, Reuters has reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Multiple media reports and independent assessments have signaled shortages of critical sophisticated munitions in the US inventory since a Center for Strategic and International (CSIS) report published in April. Apart from draining the Pentagon’s attack capabilities, the conflict is believed to have put a major dent in the US stock of anti-aircraft missiles. The country’s leadership has repeatedly denied such assertions, insisting it still has plenty of munitions.
According to Reuters sources the Iran conflict has depleted the US Army’s stock of surface-to-surface missiles, namely Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), with two sources telling the agency the military has used “virtually all” of those weapons.
While the degree to which the US military exhausted its stock of ATACMS was not previously known, the apparent exhaustion of the PrSM stock has been repeatedly reported since mid-April. The munition, slated to replace the aging ATACMS, was not plentiful to begin with – the Pentagon had ordered 130 before the 2024 fiscal year and a further 250 in 2025, and it was not immediately clear how many units had actually been delivered. The new missiles ended up being used against Iran without undergoing a proper testing cycle.
In mid-April, a US Army official admitted that a unit equipped with PrSM exhausted its entire inventory early in the conflict. Later that month, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) released an analysis concluding that the US military had dangerously depleted its stockpiles of critical munitions in the war on Iran. Namely, in the first seven weeks the Pentagon expended at least 45% of its PrSM stock, nearly 50% of its Patriot interceptors, and over half of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missiles, according to the assessment.
Late last month, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal reported that US President Donald Trump had opted to shelve a new major attack on Iran because of the dwindling supply of air defense missiles. The US leader dismissed those claims however, insisting the US has “far more munitions than anyone in the world and far more than we need.”

Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) shares fell sharply Tuesday after Bloomberg reported that the chain had removed jalapeños from Minnesota restaurants over a suspected link to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 110 people in the state - while WaPo reports that the outbreak has spread to 15 states. Chipotle pulled the packs of (potentially) poopy peppers from every store that received them and swapped in product from other growers. Laurie Schalow, the company's chief corporate affairs and food safety officer, framed the move as proactive, taken after Chipotle learned of a potential salmonella problem in a supply chain serving multiple food-service retailers.
The epidemiological signal is strong: of 84 sickened people interviewed, 75 said they had eaten at a Chipotle. Illness onsets trace to meals between June 14 and July 14. Minnesota's health department said the chain has cooperated fully - providing records and taking preventive steps - and that it is no longer concerned about Chipotle specifically now that the peppers are out of its restaurants.
The FDA posted its investigation on July 22 tied to 212 people. Minnesota said federal authorities are running a traceback on produce - including but not limited to jalapeños - potentially contaminated with Salmonella Javiana.
Bloomberg also reports that Michigan health officials were in contact with Taco Bell parent company Yum! Brands about the cyclospora outbreak in early July, weeks before Taco Bell publicly alerted consumers. MDHHS held a call with Yum on July 2, per documents obtained through a public records request, and in a follow-up email asked to reach the company's supply-chain quality assurance and communications teams to discuss interventions or notifications that could reduce future cases.
Michigan advised businesses handling raw produce to take extra precautions on July 4, and a state rapid response team pressed Taco Bell again for documents on July 6, citing the pace and scale of illness. Taco Bell didn't confirm publicly until July 14 that it had removed limited ingredients at select restaurants, saying at the time that no link to the chain, an ingredient or a supplier had been confirmed. Federal authorities didn't publicly connect Taco Bell to the outbreak until July 17.

I listened to this woman for several minutes and was repulsed by this tragedy… a grandmother who lost her son and her granddaughter suffered injuries caused by a drunk driver in a school zone who was let off by Maricopa Cty Sheriffs Dept. All of the country there are cities and counties committing crimes, stealing from the public and corrupt as hell. It’s not just Fedral and State politicians but so many more in numerous “systems” from Education and Healthcare to City Councils, School Boards to Law Enforcement. Hikmet Hajiyev, foreign policy adviser to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, said in an interview with Turkish broadcaster Haber Global that the issue had caused “deep concern” in Baku because Turkey’s interests represent a “red line” for Azerbaijan.
According to Hajiyev, Aliyev ordered an intensive diplomatic campaign after the issue of Israeli recognition of the 1915 Armenian massacres came up for discussion.
“We conveyed to the Israeli side that adopting such a decision would be unfair, would not reflect historical reality, and that we do not see it as an appropriate step,” Hajiyev said.
He claimed Israel “took Azerbaijan’s messages seriously” and that “further progress on the issue was prevented.”
The Azerbaijani official also emphasized the close alliance between Baku and Ankara.
“Wherever Turkey is not present, Azerbaijan is present, and wherever Azerbaijan is not present, Turkey is present,” he said, adding that the two countries would continue responding firmly to actions they view as harmful to their interests.
The Armenian genocide issue has been a sensitive diplomatic matter for decades. Armenia and many historians describe the mass killings and deportations of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire beginning in 1915 as genocide, while Turkey rejects that characterization.
According to the report, Israel’s initiative to recognize the events as genocide was removed from the Knesset agenda after Azerbaijan’s pressure campaign. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar had presented the issue in parliament, but it was not brought to a vote.
Israel has not officially responded to Hajiyev’s claims.
Sa’ar’s office said in a statement that “the Armenian people’s genocide was recognized unanimously in a decision by the Israeli government. This decision stands and will not change.”
The dispute comes amid growing tensions between Israel and Azerbaijan, despite years of close security and diplomatic cooperation.
Last month, Azerbaijani officials reportedly expressed disappointment over the Israeli move, arguing that Jerusalem had failed to reciprocate Azerbaijan’s support since the outbreak of the war.
Azerbaijani officials also criticized the timing of communications between the two governments, claiming that Sa’ar spoke with his Azerbaijani counterpart only after the decision had already been announced, rather than before it was made.
The episode highlights the delicate balance between Israel’s relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, two countries with competing historical and political interests surrounding the Armenian genocide issue.

Army Refers Charges Against Doctor Blaine McGraw Who Allegedly Sexually Abused 93 Victims
McGraw is charged with a total of nine charges and 272 specifications alleged to have occurred between 2021 and 2026.
The U.S. Army Office of Special Trial Counsel has referred charges against a doctor accused of sexually abusing dozens of individuals over an approximate five-year period.
On Aug. 3, charges were referred against Major. Blaine McGraw, an obstetrician gynecologist who was assigned to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Ford Hood, Texas. His case includes nine total charges and 272 specifications that are alleged to have occurred on various occasions between 2021 and 2026. There are 93 total alleged victims.
His charges are as follows:
91 specifications of abusive sexual contact and sexual assault.
One specification of attempted sexual assault.
One specification of attempted subordination of perjury.
One specification of solicitation to commit perjury.
66 specifications of indecent recording.
91 specifications of assault consummated by a battery.
18 specifications of conduct unbecoming an officer.
One specification of extramarital sexual misconduct.
One specification of willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer.
One specification of dereliction of duty in violation of Articles 120, 120c, 128, 80, 133, 134, 90 and 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
The Army Office of Special Trial Counsel, in a statement issued Aug. 4, said that the preliminary hearing officer from McGraw’s Article 32 preliminary hearing found probable cause for the majority of the charges and specifications. The officer recommended a general court-martial.
Since the charges have been referred, the case will be assigned to a military judge who will schedule dates for the arraignment, motions, hearings and the trial.
McGraw, who remains in pretrial confinement at the Bell County Justice Center, is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Accusations Against McGraw and the Case Timeline
The case against McGraw garnered widespread attention last October when he was suspended after a patient accused him of secretly recording her during a gynecological exam, allegedly filming the individual without consent with a clandestine smartphone during a pelvic and breast exam.
That patient's allegations were tied into a broader civil complaint in which investigators purportedly discovered thousands of photos and videos of women on McGraw's phone. Jane Does began to step forward one by one.
By early December 2025, the U.S. Army Office of Special Trial Counsel formally preferred criminal charges against McGraw, confirming that four charges and 61 specifications were filed at the time under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

This inquiry outspends both combined. Meanwhile there is no royal commission into the domestic violence killing a woman most weeks, none into Islamophobia, now soaring. Australia found $131 million for the one inquiry designed never to ask an obvious question.
Blame where it belongs. Anthony Albanese wrote the answer into the question. His Letters Patent instruct the Commission to find the drivers of antisemitism in extremism and radicalisation, the war deleted from the terms of reference before Virginia Bell was even sworn in.
The Albanese government wrote the verdict into the terms of reference, then spent more than the banking royal commission to have a judge read it back. Here is what the money is buying.
Commissioning an alibi
Albanese promised the inquiry would deliver, in his own words, the right outcome. A Prime Minister announcing the right outcome in advance is commissioning an alibi.
This is the government that will gesture at recognising Palestine while refusing to utter the word genocide, that ships F35 components into the supply chain of the slaughter, that sanctions two Israeli ministers and calls it courage. It needed a grand national explanation for collapsing social cohesion that never once mentions its own complicity.
For $131 million, it has bought one.
The process delivered. In the first three days of hearings, 23 of 36 witnesses characterised criticism of Israel, opposition to Zionism or Palestine advocacy as antisemitic. Jewish organisations opposed to Zionism were refused leave to appear. Palestinian voices were excluded for lacking a direct and substantial interest.
The accused were barred from the courtroom so the prosecution could run unopposed at public expense.
The grievance parade
And the substance? A grievance parade.
The ABC and SBS hauled in to answer for Jillian Segal’s strong perception, her phrase, that their Gaza coverage lacks balance, then interrogated for declining the contested IHRA definition Bell waved through as uncontroversial.
Keffiyehs, flags, watermelon art, chants of Free Palestine, student encampments and fundraisers for maimed children tendered as exhibits of hate. Protest. Tents. Journalism. Every place an ordinary Australian expressed solidarity with a people being exterminated, recast at public expense as a crime scene. Australians are not being investigated for hating Jews.
They are being investigated for objecting to a genocide.
The complainants were welcomed like royalty. Alex Ryvchin of the ECAJ, who called the anti-Israel movement indistinguishable from neo-Nazism, testified at length while his silk objected to opposing counsel merely uttering the word genocide, a finding the International Court of Justice considered plausible back in January 2024.

A former New York police official has been accused of becoming her own son's getaway driver after he allegedly carried out a gang-related shooting outside a Bronx courthouse.
Jennifer Lackard, 49, a former senior official with the Mount Vernon Police Department, was arrested Tuesday alongside her 20-year-old son, Chase Lackard, following an investigation into a June 29 shooting near the Bronx Criminal Courthouse, per the New York Post. Investigators allege Chase Lackard opened fire near East 162nd Street and Grand Avenue while targeting a man believed to be affiliated with a rival gang. No one was injured in the shooting. Jennifer Lackard then allegedly helped her son flee the scene immediately afterward, leading to both mother and son being charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, criminal possession of a firearm, conspiracy and reckless endangerment. Authorities arrested the pair Tuesday morning at their Bronx home.
The Mount Vernon Police Department later confirmed Jennifer Lackard had been terminated from her position effective immediately. "The City of Mount Vernon has terminated Jennifer Lackard's employment," the department said, adding that its Wellness Unit would continue operating without interruption. The department identified Lackard as its former Deputy Commissioner of Wellness, although several local news outlets referred to her as a former Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety.
Police have described Chase Lackard as a reputed member of the "Slutty Gang," a Bronx street gang previously linked to violent disputes in the borough. In November 2024, Lackard was shot by NYPD officers after police said he pointed a loaded handgun at officers responding to a disturbance in Soundview. Authorities said he was carrying a loaded 9mm pistol during that confrontation. Court records cited by local media also show he had been arrested on a gun possession charge just months earlier before being granted supervised release.
In a separate incident in 2023, Chase Lackard was shot in the chest aboard a BX5 bus after investigators said he allegedly flashed gang signs, challenged several teenagers over their gang affiliations and attempted to drag one of them off the bus before another youth opened fire. Neither the NYPD nor the Bronx District Attorney's Office has publicly released additional details about the evidence underpinning the latest charges. Jennifer Lackard and her son remain facing multiple felony counts as the investigation continues.
