Documents made public as part of a lawsuit against Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have alleged that the billionaire cited his ‘friendship’ with Bill Clinton as a way of intimidating a fifteen year old girl into sleeping with him.

The Documents, identifying the victim only as ‘Jane Doe’ claim that Epstein carried out a “vicious, prolonged sexual assault” on her in 2004 after trafficking her on the infamous ‘Lolita express’ to his New Mexico ranch.

“Epstein made clear to Jane Doe 15 how powerful he was. He made a point of mentioning that he was close with Bill Clinton,” the documents note.

“When I chose a seat on the jet, Jeffrey told me that his good friend, Bill Clinton, always chose to sit there,” the accuser has claimed.

The documents allege that dropping Clinton’s name was Epstein’s way of conveying “how powerful he was and how helpful he could be in assisting Jane Doe 15 with her future goals, such as paying for college” as long as she went along with his perverted desires.

The lawsuit also alleges that Epstein told the girl, now in her 30’s, that he liked women to sleep at his feet, which “made her immediately think of slaves.”

One of the highest-profile defendants in the college admissions scandal, which exposed the rich and famous paying big bucks on cheating scams to get their kids into the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities, was sentenced on Friday. Actress Lori Loughlin's husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was sentenced to 5 months in prison by Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton for the charges of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and to honest services wire and mail fraud. The sentence is in line with the terms of Giannulli's plea deal that was laid out months ago. Giannulli's sentence includes two years of supervised release, 250 hours of community service, and a $250,000 fine. Judge Gorton announced in the hearing on Friday that he believed the sentence is "sufficient but not greater than necessary under the circumstance."

The fashion designer, who is 57, appeared in a Massachusetts federal court virtually via Zoom from what appeared to be a conference room in Los Angeles, Calif. He wore a dark suit, a light pink shirt, and a dark purple tie. His hearing took place just hours before Loughlin's, which is is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Following Gorton's acceptance of his plea deal, Giannulli addressed the court. Vice President Biden was holding Jasper Michael Brown Quintana, the young grandson of billionaire and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, when he evidently decided it would be funny if he put the child’s pacifier – known fittingly as a dummy to our British readers – in his mouth.

A New Jersey judge this week ordered a new election held for a City Council race, nearly two months after the challenger and three others were charged in a voter fraud scheme.

The May 12 election “was not the fair, free, and full expression of the intent of the voters,” Superior Court Judge Ernest Caposela wrote in his three-page ruling. “It was rife with mail in vote procedural violations constituting nonfeasance and malfeasance.”

Third Ward Councilman William McKoy brought the matter to court after challenger Alex Mendez was charged. Mendez beat McKoy by 245 votes.

Officials said Mendez, in violation of election laws, tried to be the bearer of a ballot in the same district he was trying to win.

Approximately 24 percent of the ballots cast in the Third Ward election were rejected, in comparison to an average of 9.6 percent in other municipal elections.

“A substantial number of ballots were left on the floor in an apartment building rather than being delivered to the individual mailboxes of the residents,” the judge said. “Approximately two hundred uncounted mail in ballots were found in a postal box located in adjacent Haledon.”

Caposela said the causes of the improperly carried out election included candidates and campaign workers either being unfamiliar with rules or choosing to ignore them. The U.S. Postal Service may also have been overwhelmed.

The ruling doesn’t relate to the voter fraud charges, which will be dealt with in the criminal justice system, he emphasized.

Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh told CNN that the ruling was the correct one.

“That past election was fraught with fraud,” he said.

City officials have created a new team meant to prevent a similar situation from unfolding during the new election, which will take place on Nov. 3, he added. Until then, the seat that McKoy has held for years will remain vacant.

Scott Salmon, McKoy’s lawyer, said in a statement that the ruling was “great news.”

“We’ve been asking for this since the very beginning, because when 25% of ballots are rejected, it is not, and cannot be, a fair election,” he said.

The office of Gregg Paster, who is representing Mendez, said he was not in and declined to provide his email address. Mendez’s campaign didn’t return an inquiry.

Mendez, Councilman Michael Jackson, and two others were charged in June with crimes that include fraud in casting mail-in votes, unauthorized possession of ballots, and tampering with public records.

Officials said the probe started when Postal Service workers alerted the state attorney general that hundreds of mail-in ballots were found in a mailbox in Paterson. Others were later found in Haledon.

“Today’s charges send a clear message: if you try to tamper with an election in New Jersey, we will find you and we will hold you accountable,” said Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said the time. “We will not allow a small number of criminals to undermine the public’s confidence in our democratic process.”

All four men charged have said they’re innocent.

Jackson was sworn in on July 1 and told those gathered outside City Hall: “Only in America, where a black man or a Latino, which I happen to be both, where the term innocent until proven guilty, does not seem not to apply.”

The charges drew the attention of President Donald Trump, who has been highly critical of an unprecedented mail-in voting push around the nation.

Trump said last month that the presidential election will be “rigged” if mail-in voting takes place.

“So much time is taken talking about foreign influence, but the same people won’t even discuss Mail-In election corruption. Look at Patterson, N.J. 20% of vote was corrupted,” he said in a social media statement.

Trump’s campaign sued New Jersey this week after Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, signed an executive order requiring ballots be sent to all active registered voters. The lawsuit cited the Paterson voter fraud allegations.

Murphy said the order was needed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the nation’s top infectious disease experts, said last week that voting in person can be done safely.

On MSNBC on Thursday, Murphy dismissed the Paterson debacle as “a local election.”

“Some guys tried to screw with the system,” he said. “I view it as a really positive data point. They got caught.”

House ethics panel: Matt Gaetz 'did not violate witness tampering' laws with Michael Cohen tweet

The House Ethics Committee determined that Rep. Matt Gaetz did not break any laws when he tweeted about Michael Cohen, President Trump's former personal lawyer, during a congressional hearing in 2019. The panel ruled that the Florida Republican's tweets "did not violate witness tampering and obstruction of Congress laws." The committee did, however, determine that Gaetz's tweets "did not meet the standards by which Members of the House should govern themselves" and reprimanded him for breaking House rules.

Gaetz, a vocal Trump defender, caught the attention of the House Ethics Committee after he sent a tweet that seemed to threaten Cohen while he was testifying about the president before a House panel. "Hey @MichaelCohen212 — Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot …" Gaetz tweeted. Gaetz later deleted and apologized for the tweet. He told the committee that he was "not comfortable with the language" he had used in the tweet and agreed that it was inappropriate. Gaetz was similarly cleared of wrongdoing by the Florida Bar after lawyers filed a grievance against him over his tweet. The Florida Bar decided not to pursue any disciplinary actions against Gaetz after investigating his tweet.

Trump DHS leaders were illegally appointed, government watchdog says

A government watchdog refused to reconsider its conclusion that the two officials inserted atop the Department of Homeland Security have no legal authority to be in their positions. The Government Accountability Office informed acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf and acting DHS Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli on Friday that it will not rescind its Aug. 14 decision "as DHS has not shown that our decision contains either material errors of fact or law, nor has DHS provided information not previously considered that warrants reversal or modification of the decision."

Two weeks ago, GAO declared Wolf and Cuccinelli were not the next people in line to take over for departed acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan and Deputy Secretary David Pekoske, who returned to his job over the Transportation Security Administration. Wolf wrote GAO General Counsel Thomas H. Armstrong and asked his office to reconsider its decision, calling it "fundamentally erroneous" that they had been accused of violating the Vacancies Reform Act, which outlines the order of succession procedures. Wolf argued that McAleenan's predecessor, Kirstjen Nielsen, had reordered the line of succession a day before she left DHS last spring, therefore allowing both men to take over down the road.

GAO said the matter of whether the work Wolf and Cuccinelli have done in their positions is valid under the law will be a question for the DHS inspector general to decide. The prospect of Cuccinelli and Wolf serving in DHS leadership was first questioned last fall when McAleenan resigned and the two were rumored to be his replacement. Federal law experts told the Washington Examiner at the time that it would be illegal to appoint Cuccinelli, a 51-year-old former attorney general from Virginia, and Wolf, the former chief of staff to Nielsen, because their superiors were mandated to be named the "senior official performing the duties" of secretary or deputy secretary. Instead, those more senior officials were jumped over or moved to other posts.
