The celebration dinner for AZ audit volunteers was tonight. It was a nice event attended by state senators Karen Fann, Wendy Rogers, and Sonny Borrelli. Also there were Doug Logan, Jordan Conradson, and others. Surprisingly, there was no indication of when the report is going to be released. I thought for sure it would have been by now, nut Fann said they are still sitting i's and crossing t's. They acknowledged that the wait is long and everyone wants to know when, but said when it comes out, people are going to struggle to deal with it's findings. So that's it, maybe it will be out in two-weeks.... Kek.

Lebanese Judge Issues Warrant for Ex-Minister Over Port Blast
A Lebanese judge investigating last year’s port explosion issued an arrest warrant for a former minister after he failed to show up for questioning, National News Agency said.
Tarek Bitar had asked Youssef Finianos, who previously served as public works minister, to appear on Thursday. Former Prime Minister Hassan Diab also hasn’t appeared for questioning despite repeated requests for him to do so. The two are among a number of officials Bitar has summoned as part of the inquiry into the blast on Aug. 4, 2020, when a large consignment of ammonium nitrate exploded at the port, damaging swathes of Beirut and killing more than 200 people. All deny wrongdoing. More than a year on, the investigation has made little progress, drawing anger and protests from the families of the victims who want to know why the highly-explosive material was left at the port for years before the disaster.

Beijing calls on Washington, London, Canberra to drop 'zero-sum game mentality'
China slammed the new Indo-Pacific security alliance unveiled by the U.S., the U.K. and Australia on Wednesday, especially the plan to deliver nuclear-powered submarines to Canberra.
Foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said at a regular briefing on Thursday that the three English-speaking nations should "abandon their Cold War and zero-sum game mentality." Otherwise, he said, they would "lift a rock that drops on their own feet," according to the Global Times, a Communist Party-backed newspaper. Under the pact, dubbed AUKUS, Australia will be only the second country after Britain, in the 1950s, to gain access to American technology to build nuclear-powered submarines. A joint statement said the three nations would seek to deliver at least eight vessels. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison talked up the submarines' capabilities, while strenuously denying any intention to arm them with atomic weapons.
China's Zhao said the decision by Washington and London to export nuclear-powered submarine technology to Canberra proves that they are using nuclear exports for geopolitical gains. He added that should Australia as a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons import the technology, then its neighbors and the international community would question its sincerity in meeting the terms of that treaty. The alliance is another move by U.S. President Joe Biden to turn the security screws on China, which is acting increasingly aggressively toward Taiwan and in the South China Sea. The announcement slammed by France as it now misses out on a submarine deal with Australia came a day before the European Union was due to publish its Indo-Pacific strategy, and ahead of a meeting in Washington of the so-called Quad security dialogue.
Van Jackson, a senior lecturer in international relations at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, said the launch of AUKUS seems to serve Canberra's and Washington's purposes by making a big decision that appears to be a game changer. "They wanted to orchestrate some kind of announceable deliverable that showed the U.S. living up to its goal of countering China and showing the flag in Asia," Jackson told Nikkei Asia. He added that China will respond by simply keeping the economic thumbscrews on Australia. "There will surely be some aggressive wolf-warrior comments from China soon enough, but the meaningful reaction is the one that's already ongoing."
A senior Chinese military expert told the Global Times that when Australia acquires such technology, it will potentially pose a nuclear threat to other countries. "It's easy for the U.S. and the U.K. to deploy nuclear weapons and submarine-launched ballistic missiles on the Australian submarines if they believe it's necessary, and Biden's and Morrison's promises of 'not seeking nuclear weapons' are meaningless," said the expert who requested anonymity. The announcement has already created rifts between U.S. allies in Europe, and raised tensions between Australia and New Zealand. France acted furiously to the announcement as its $90 billion deal to supply 12 conventionally powered submarines has now been scrapped. "This unilateral, brutal, unpredictable decision is very similar to what Mr. Trump did," Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told a radio show, referring to former U.S. President Donald Trump. "This kind of behavior should not happen between allies... we were talking about all this with the United States a short time ago, and here is this rupture. It is quite unbearable," he added. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson insisted that despite the announcement triggering the cancellation of the French submarine deal with Australia, his nation's relationship with Paris was "rock solid."
Jackson said the idea that the U.S., the U.K. and Australia a subgroup of Five Eyes intelligence-sharing agreement that also includes Canada and New Zealand would convene on a deeper level was being planned as early as 2019. "This comes at France's expense because the decision for Australia to acquire nuclear-powered submarines as part of this new tripartite arrangement means it won't be acquiring French submarines," he said. "Five-Eyes is pretty much the most trusted technocratic arrangement that any of these countries has, and France is not part of Five-Eyes, so France was never going to be part of this specific decision." Jackson added that Japan and India members of the Quad along with the U.S. and Australia were not included simply because the intention was always to make AUKUS a sub-Five Eyes grouping.

Powell Orders Review Of Fed Ethics Rules After Trading Disclosures Spark Mass Outrage
Fed Presidents Robert Kaplan and Eric Rosengren have committed to liquidating their portfolios (at a particularly auspicious time for stocks, which continued to smash through ATHs all summer long) in the wake of a market-shaking scandal caused by the release of senior Fed officials' financial disclosure forms, which revealed that Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan made several million-dollar trades in 2020, while his fellow Fed officials (including Boston's Eric Rosengren) made smaller trades of their own. The financial revelations followed speculation about Fed Chairman Powell's portfolio late last month in research published by Dylan Grice.
But even Grice probably didn't expect the popular backlash elicited by news that senior Fed officials were playing the stock market, just like the unwashed Robinhood-loving masses, while their hands were on the money printer. On social media, users mocked the news as potentially damning for the central bank's credibility, since even the appearance of potential corruption is enough to destroy trust in a public institution, even if Powell & Co. continue to deny that their finances have now sway over policy. None of them have placed their money in blind trusts, which are considered the gold standard for dispelling conflicts of interest.
Cleraly sensing just how drastic this threat to the Fed's credbility has become, Fed Chairman Powell has Thursday directed board staff to take a fresh and comprehensive look at the ethics rules around permissible financial holdings and activities by senior Fed officials. A Fed spokesman also said the Fed has a set of supplemental rules that are stricter than those that apply to members of Congress and other agencies. The announcement comes after Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who recently led the charge to jeopardize Powell's reappointment as Fed chair, challenged the Fed to impose a ban on the ownership and trading of individual stocks by senior officials.

It's too early to say whether this "review" might lead to the censure, or ouster, of any senior Fed officials. But it's clear that Powell senses the threat to the Fed's independence that the trading revelations represent. Unfortunately, at this point, it's a little like slamming the barn door after the horse has bolted.

Italy Becomes First Country To Pass Mandatory Vaccine Passport Bill For All Workers

Italy will implement its mandatory vaccine passport (“Green Pass”) for all workers next month, becoming the first country in the European Union to make this demand, per Reuters.
All workers will be required to have the Green Pass in Italy next month. The Green Pass is Italy’s domestic digital or paper COVID-19 certificate that will indicate if a person has received at least one vaccination, tested negative within the last 48 hours, or has recently recovered from the virus.
The pass will be an extension of the European Union’s COVID-19 Digital Certificate, which was implemented July 1. Tourists that intend to visit Italy will also be required to obtain a Green Pass.
The Italian Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the bicameral Parliament of Italy, protested the Green Pass in July when it was discussed on the chamber floors. One member of parliament was chased through the chamber by security as he held the sign above his head, before he was pursued out of the chamber.

New Zealand will BAN Australia's new nuclear-powered submarines from its waters, says Jacinda Ardern minutes after alliance with US and Britain is announced
Jacinda Ardern has made it clear Australia's nuclear-powered submarines will not be welcome in New Zealand waters when they hit the water.
Australia, the US, and Britain on Thursday morning formed a new alliance to beef up security in the Asia Pacific to counter the rising threat of China.
The Kiwi prime minister reiterated her country's strong anti-nuclear stance, but stressed ties with the three countries remained strong
'New Zealand's position in relation to the prohibition of nuclear powered vessels in our waters remains unchanged,' she said just minutes after the announcement.
'The centrepiece of it is nuclear powered submarines and all parties are very well versed in understanding our position on nuclear powered vessels and weapons.'
'They couldn't come into our internal waters… our legislation says no vessel wholly or fully powered by nuclear energy can enter our internal waters.'
'That is a position held across parties for a long period of time.'
Ms Ardern insisted New Zealand had no interest in being part of the new 'AUKUS' triumvirate and saw it as less important than the 'Five Eyes' intelligence sharing arrangement, which was formed in 1941.
'[AUKUS] isn't at the level of existing partnership with UK, Canada, the US, Australia and Canada,' she claimed.
Ardern said she was informed about Australia's partnership with the US and Britain at the same time as Scott Morrison's cabinet, but wasn't invited.
'No we weren't approached, nor would I expect us to be,' Ardern said.
She said it was 'very clear' New Zealand wouldn't want to belong to the alliance because of its promotion of nuclear-powered submarines.
The New Zealand public has long supported an official anti-nuclear stance.
The American navy's nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser USS Truxtun came under heavy water-based protests from civilians when it visited New Zealand in 1982.
The nation's government made world headlines in the 1980s for denying a visit by US destroyer USS Buchanan in 1985 after the US refused to deny that the warship had nuclear capability.
As part of the AUKUS arrangement, Australia's two most important allies will help it build nuclear-powered submarines for the first time.
'It is the first time this technology has ever been made available to Australia. This is a one-off, as the President in Washington has made very clear. This is a very special arrangement,' Mr Morrison said.

Bondholders of China Evergrande select advisers - sources
A group of China Evergrande Group bondholders has selected investment bank Moelis & Co and law firm Kirkland & Ellis as advisers on a potential restructuring of a tranche of bonds, two sources close to the matter said. The advice focuses on around $20 billion in outstanding offshore bonds in the event of non-payment, one of the sources said*. Uncertainty about Evergrande’s ability to meet funding obligations has sent jitters through markets, as one of the world’s most indebted property developers teeters between a messy meltdown, a managed collapse or a more remote prospect of a bailout. Evergrande has been hit by recent ratings downgrades, with both S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings warning of the risk of default, while a main Evergrande unit applied on Thursday to suspend trading of its onshore corporate bonds here in a move indicating a rising likelihood of defaults and restructuring, market participants said.
Fitch Ratings has estimated that it faces bond interest payments of $129 million before the end of September and $850 million before the end of the year. Nevertheless, hopes of securing a restructuring helped boost Evergrande’s bonds, which hit close to 30 cents on the dollar on Thursday, with the March 2022 issue rising the most, up 2.5 cents, Refinitiv data showed. “The bonds are rallying pretty hard,” said one Evergrande holder. “People are buying blocs, so seems like it’s institutional (demand) rather than just retail.” Evergrande Group, saddled with more than $300 billion in total liabilities - equivalent to 2% of China’s GDP - is in the throes of a liquidity crisis that has sent it scrambling to raise funds to pay its many lenders and suppliers.
Financial markets have priced in likely defaults on its bond payments and expectations are high that its assets will have to be restructured.

News-channel fishing for stories of unvaccinated dying from Covid-19 gets over 182,000 responses of Vaccine injuries and deaths instead… and the list is still growing
The mainstream media narrative that unvaccinated people are filling up the hospitals and dying from Covid-19 is quickly falling apart, perhaps faster than they even expected.
You only need to read official government data to see that it is actually the fully vaccinated population that are dying from Covid-19. A Public Health England report released September 3rd confirmed that 70% of Covid-19 deaths since February 2021 had been among the vaccinated population.
Now WXYZ TV Channel 7 in Detroit, USA has added more fuel to the fire that should be burning because it is the truth, by asking their viewers on their Facebook Page to direct message them if they lost a loved one due to Covid-19 after they refused to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
This is a clear indication that they are getting desperate to find these stories, and are having a difficult time finding them.
We don’t know if they got any such stories through direct messaging, but the post on their Facebook Page, as of the time of publication of this article, had received over 182,000 comments, and they seem to be all comments of those who have lost loved ones after getting the Covid-19 vaccine, and comments asking them why they are not covering that story.
People who have been silenced and censored on Facebook and other Big Tech platforms took advantage of the opportunity to share their stories instead. It is amazing that Facebook left these up, but after so many had commented, it would probably have been an even bigger story if they had taken down the post and comments.
