Obama Tells Networks to Stop Running Ad Using His Words to Attack Biden

Former President Barack Obama plans on sending a cease-and-desist letter to television stations in South Carolina if the stations don’t stop running an advertisement that uses some of his words to attack Joe Biden, the vice president during the Obama administration.

The ad comes from a super political action committee (PAC) called the Committee to Defend the President. It started airing this week in South Carolina ahead of the Feb. 29 Democratic primary.

The ad quotes from Obama’s 1995 memoir, “Dreams of My Father,” in attacking Biden.

“Joe Biden promised to help our community. It was a lie. Here’s President Obama,” a narrator says at the opening of the 30-second video before Obama is heard reading from his book.

A spokeswoman for Obama alleged that Obama’s words were twisted.

“This despicable ad is straight out of the Republican disinformation playbook, and it’s clearly designed to suppress turnout among minority voters in South Carolina by taking President Obama’s voice out of context and twisting his words to mislead viewers,” Katie Hill, the spokeswoman, said in a statement sent to news outlets.

She said television stations should stop running the ad “in the interest of truth in advertising” and to “stop playing into the hands of bad actors who seek to sow division and confusion among the electorate.”

Biden’s campaign also criticized the ad. A campaign spokesman said in a statement to outlets that the ad showed President Donald Trump and his allies are “absolutely terrified” that Biden might win the Democratic nominee.

Bad Apple? Two Troopers in Same Dept. Arrested for Sharing Child Porn

Trenton, NJ — Child predator police officers are an unfortunate and all too common reality in the land of the free. On a near daily basis, cops across the country are busted for horrifying acts against children. Highlighting the severe nature of this problem is the fact that two cops in a single department were recently arrested for possession and sharing child porn.

On Tuesday, New Jersey State Trooper Andrea V. Knox of Mount Holly was arrested and charged with official misconduct and possession of child pornography, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

Knox is accused of receiving the child porn from trooper Jeffrey Reitz of Williamstown. Reitz was indicted in December on two counts of possession of child pornography. Those charges were related to a separate exchange of texts with a different woman, the statement said.

“During those exchanges, the woman proposed that Reitz sexually assault a young girl and sent him a sexually explicit photo of the girl,” the Attorney General’s Office said.

Horrifyingly enough is the fact that the text had described the girl as the woman’s own 5-year-old daughter.

A criminal complaint in that case alleges Reitz responded to the child’s photo by texting “NICE!” and making a reference to sexual arousal.

Knox made similar exchanges with Reitz. As of now, she has been charged for failing to report Reitz when he sent her the images. But more charges could follow.

“Knox failed to report that Reitz shared items of child pornography with her, despite her duty as a police officer to enforce and uphold the laws of the State of New Jersey,” the attorney general’s office said in a statement on Tuesday.

The initial images were discovered on Reitz’ iCloud account and further investigation into that account revealed the exchange with Knox.

As the Courier Post reports:

Additional images of alleged child pornography were found in an iCloud account that belonged to Reitz, the statement said.

It said further investigation of the iCloud account revealed alleged text exchanges between the troopers that allegedly included sexually explicit conversations about an underage girl.

According to the statement, Knox asked Reitz for details about sex acts he’d like to perform on the child during a text exchange on Aug. 27, 2018.

“The following day, the pair had another sexually explicit text exchange, during which Reitz sent Knox photos of people at a nudist location” the statement said.

The images included photos of two girls “with their genitals visible” it said.

“Knox failed to report that Reitz shared items of child pornography with her,” the statement said.

Birx is a career government official who was nominated by former President Barack Obama in 2014 as the U.S. global AIDS coordinator responsible for overseeing humanitarian aid programs combating the epidemic. She also served as head of the global HIV/AIDS division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and was a top research official at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Former Senior Iraqi Military Officer During the Saddam Hussein Regime has Been Sentenced and Denaturalized

United States Attorney Richard W. Moore of the Southern District of Alabama, announces that Colonel Saad Taha Ahmed Yousif al-Qaysy was sentenced to three years of probation and stripped of his United States citizenship after being convicted of lying to obtain his citizenship.

Ahmed was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1958. He earned a degree in electrical engineering in the early 1980s, and then was conscripted into the Iraqi Army in 1983 during the Iran-Iraq War. After his mandatory service was complete in 1985, Ahmed joined the Iraqi Army as a First Lieutenant in the al-Quds Reconnaissance Brigade. Thereafter, the Army sent Ahmed to a university in Yugoslavia to gain Serbian and Russian language skills.

After returning to Iraq, Ahmed rose up the ranks as an Iraqi Army officer. He served as a Captain in the 10th Armored Division during the Invasion of Kuwait and the Gulf War, and as a Colonel during the 2003 Iraq War. Ahmed’s twenty-year military career ended when Coalition Forces disbanded the Iraqi Army on May 23, 2003. During his final two years in the Iraqi Army, Ahmed was assigned to two public hospitals as a senior military officer. This is significant because the Saddam Hussein regime used public hospitals at this time for dual purposes — treatment centers for the sick and injured, and torture sites for political prisoners and military deserters.

Following the dissolution of the Iraqi Army, Ahmed claimed that he worked for an American military contractor in Abu Ghraib, Iraq. However, the military contractor has no record of Ahmed. Furthermore, a letter of recommendation purportedly from Ahmed’s direct supervisor at the military contractor, which was later submitted to U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, had been forged.

After Ahmed’s brother and nephew were killed in sectarian violence in 2006, Ahmed fled from the Baghdad region to northern Iraq and then to Giza, Egypt. While in Egypt, Ahmed and other former senior Iraqi military officers discussed the need to hide the true nature and extent of their military careers in order to be admitted as refugees into the United States.

In 2009, Ahmed applied for refugee status via the United States Refugee Admissions Program. In his application, Ahmed falsely claimed that he only served in the Iraqi Army for a brief period in the 1980s as a conscript during the Iran-Iraq War. Ahmed’s refugee application was approved in January 2010, and he was admitted into the United States as a refugee fleeing the war in Iraq. Thereafter, Ahmed was approved for refugee resettlement and placed in Mobile, Alabama.

In 2011, Ahmed adjusted his status from refugee to legal permanent resident. Once again, Ahmed lied about the nature and extent of his military service, and falsely claimed that he was merely an electrical engineer working on a base in Baghdad from 1987 to 1991. Ahmed further claimed that his military service ended just prior to the Invasion of Kuwait, when, in fact, he was a Captain in the 10th Armored Division during the invasion.

Finally, in April 2015, Ahmed applied for United States citizenship. In his citizenship application, Ahmed perpetuated the false narrative that he was simply an electrical engineer forced to join the Iraqi Army during the Iran-Iraq War. Ahmed was officially sworn in as a United States citizen on July 20, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.

In November 2019, Ahmed pleaded guilty in the Southern District of Alabama to knowingly and intentionally procuring United States citizenship through fraudulent means, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1425(a). By statute, being convicted of this offense results in the denaturalization of the defendant at the time of sentencing.

Following his sentencing and denaturalization on February 21, 2020, Ahmed was taken into custody by immigration officials. An Immigration Judge will now determine whether Ahmed will lose his status as a legal permanent resident, and whether he will be deported to Iraq.

This matter was investigated by FBI-Mobile’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Christopher Bodnar.

Milwaukee Shooting Motive Is Blamed On Alleged Racism At Brewery With History Of Complaints

Details about the deadly mass shooting at a brewery in Milwaukee have been trickling out in the hours since a former employee killed five people and then died by suicide on Wednesday afternoon. But according to social media reports, the gunman — allegedly a Black man named Anthony Ferrill — waged his shooting rampage because he was subjected to racism in the workplace at the Molson Coors brewery.

Neither those reports nor the identity of the gunman was immediately confirmed by law enforcement, but they were prevalent across social media. One of those posts came from an account credited to a Milwaukee businessman who devoted multiple posts on his Facebook page to explain “the reason why our Brother snapped at Miller Coors!”

“The shooter at Millers Coors is reported to suffer racial discrimination and harassment from white co-workers. He recently filed a civil lawsuit against Miller Coors’s racist work environment. The racist white co-workers had hung a hangman noose on his locker. He was rehired after the lawsuit five years ago. The white racist male harassment continue when he returned to work at Miller Coors,” Tony Muhammad wrote without providing evidence of his claims.

“The racist white co-workers this time humiliated the 51-year-old African American male by pasting spade cards on his work locker and making his workday unbearable with white male racist antics.

“The Brother evidently was forced over the edge of sanity to make a violent and act to end Miller Coors workforce racist harassment. Perhaps with this most recent reported incident of workforce white male racism against African American Miller Coors in the City of Milwaukee will make fair and equal employment for all a matter of private and public policy… Miller Coors has a long history of tolerating its white brewery worker racist behavior and acts against Black brewery workers.”

Muhammad’s claims were complemented by similar ones across social media.

A racial discrimination lawsuit against Miller Brewing Company and its parent, MillerCoors LLC was dismissed in 2013 after Syed Alam, a software developer, sued. A previous employment discrimination lawsuit filed by Alam against Miller was settled in 2006, which is apparently why the later racial discrimination case was tossed, according to the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Those lawsuits came after three former employees of Miller Brewing Co. sued in 1994 for claims of employees being “subjected to racist name-calling and harassment” at a plant in New York, the Associated Press reported. At the time, it was “the third legal action against the Milwaukee-based brewer by black employees at the Fulton plant who say they faced discrimination.”

That lawsuit said “black employees were subjected to a variety of forms of racial harassment, including hearing racial slurs directed at them over a paging system and being exposed to a variety of racial epithets in plant graffiti” and that “the company took too long to start using a graffiti-resistant paint and to limit access to the plant’s public address system to prevent harassment.”

Molson Coors is the parent company for a number of beers including Miller Lite, Coors Lite and Molson Canadian.

The reports of the brewery gunman being the victim of workplace racism were unconfirmed. With that said, Milwaukee County in April declared racism a public health crisis in the city that the Brookings Institution in 2018 found to be the most segregated in America.

CNN Adds ‘Clarification,’ Removes ‘Fetus That Was Born’ Phrase Describing A Baby

CNN quietly removed the phrase “a fetus that was born” from a CNN report on pro-life legislation following coverage from conservative media outlets.

CNN did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday regarding CNN reporter Caroline Kelly’s use of the phrase “a fetus that was born” to describe a baby that survived a botched abortion.

“CLARIFICATION: This story has been updated to more precisely reflect the language used in [Sen. Ben] Sasse’s bill,” a note at the bottom of the article says. “This story has been updated with additional developments Tuesday.”

The publication removed the phrase from the Tuesday CNN report sometime Wednesday, following coverage of its phrasing from the DCNF, National Review, Fox News, the Washington Examiner and other publications. (RELATED: CNN Report Describes A Baby Who Survives An Abortion As A ‘Fetus That Was Born’)

The CNN report covered legislation that aimed to protect babies who survive botched abortions as well as legislation that would make abortion illegal after 20 weeks when an unborn baby can feel pain: the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.

Democratic senators blocked the votes of both bills Tuesday.

“The second bill to be considered Tuesday is the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, sponsored by Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, that would require abortion providers to work to ‘preserve the life and health’ of a fetus that was born following an attempted abortion as they would for a newborn baby, or face up to five years in prison,” Kelly wrote.

In an interview with the Dayton Daily News, Yost said “We are talking about multiple children, more than 40 (victims.)” The images do not appear to be generated from his practice, he added.

Dayton Children’s Hospital, where Ramey worked from 1979 until his termination Aug. 16, 2019, cooperated with investigators, the AG’s office said.

The hospital issued a statement about Ramey that said in part: “…we were blindsided by the allegations of inappropriate behavior in his personal life. Nothing in the performance of his professional role created any suspicions. We are shocked and deeply troubled by these allegations, which are in stark contrast to our mission and core values. To be clear, the charges do not include any activity at Dayton Children’s, nor was any inappropriate material found on or accessed via Dayton Children’s devices.”

Ramey had served as executive director for pediatric mental health resources at Dayton Children’s.

The hospital added: “We are relentless advocates of protecting our most vulnerable population. There is simply no place for any behavior that exploits children. We will continue to work diligently on that front.”

An indictment filed in Greene County Common Pleas Court charges Ramey with 145 felony counts:

— Illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, a second degree felony, counts 1-90;

— Pandering obscenity involving a minor, a fourth degree felony, counts 91-117;

— Attempted pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, a fifth degree felony, counts 118-142;

— Tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, counts 143-145.

Camila María Concepción, a trans activist who wrote for two Netflix shows, has died at age 28, Variety confirmed Wednesday. The cause was suicide.

Concepción was a staff writer on the zombie dramedy “Daybreak” and co-wrote an episode of “Gentefied,” a new show about a Mexican American family living in a gentrifying neighborhood.

She was “a vocal advocate for trans and Latinx representation in the entertainment industry,” People noted.

In a statement, Netflix praised the California native and Yale University alumna as a “talented writer with a passion for storytelling, lifting up underrepresented voices, and fighting for representation in front of and behind the camera.”

Representatives for “Gentefied” told Deadline in a statement that they “were so blown away by her amazing talent and unique voice. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with and we are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our brightest stars.”

The show premiered on Friday, the same day that Concepción reportedly took her own life.

“Mija, I knew just an inkling of the pain you were feeling and the hurt you had gone through,” “Gentefied” co-creator Marvin Lemus wrote in a heartbreaking Instagram post. “You inspired me every day with your perseverance and your ability to shorten (every) fucking word to fit into your schedule. Mija, I hope you’re at peace now. I’ll get over my anger. I’m not ready yet.”

President Trump's successful trip to India this week will develop a critical prospective alliance while undermining one of the most common criticisms leveled against this president: that Trump cares little for democratic values or for allies.

This was certainly not evident from Trump's rhetoric and effort during his short visit. Instead, addressing more than 100,000 people in a packed Ahmedabad stadium, Trump offered a bright vision of future friendship between the world's most powerful and its most populous democracies. As the BBC observed, "It was a good speech."

Addressing democratic values, Trump carefully hinted at concerns over India's treatment of its Muslim citizens. While praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the president celebrated an India in which "millions upon millions of Hindus and Muslims, Sikhs and Jains, Buddhists, Christians, and Jews worship side by side in harmony." Building on this theme of democracies made strong by diversity, Trump called for "every Indian, north and south, Hindu or Muslim, Jewish and Christian, young and old, take pride in the glories of your past, unite for an even brighter future, and let our two nations always stand together as powerful defenders of peace and liberty

Asked at a later press conference whether he had raised the issue of religious liberty in private meetings with Modi, Trump confirmed that he had done so. Describing shared U.S. and Indian efforts against terrorists, Trump threw Modi a line that President Barack Obama would have been highly unlikely to offer. He promised Indians that America would continue "to crack down on the terrorist organizations and militants that operate on the Pakistani border." Trump's strong stance here will go down well with an Indian government and people still reeling from a Pakistani terrorist attack last February that killed 40 people. Equally important is the fact that Trump's robust stance on Pakistani terrorist threats stands in contrast to unhelpful positions of calculated indifference taken by China and Russia.

Trump also promoted the "quad" strategic dialogue among the democracies of the United States, Australia, Japan, and India. He announced India's purchase of $3 billion in U.S. helicopters, and, in distinctly Trumpian terms, he offered a rationale for why India would gain by abandoning its Sino-Russian flirtations in favor of a U.S. partnership.

"We have spent two and a half trillion dollars on rebuilding our military. It’s the most powerful military anywhere in the world by far. That is why I have come here to India, in the spirit of fondness and goodwill, to expand our cherished partnership of incredible power and potential," Trump said. "I believe that the United States should be India’s premier defense partner, and that’s the way it’s working out. Together, we will defend our sovereignty, security, and protect a free and open Indo-Pacific region for our children and for many, many generations to come."

Trump is here linking Chinese efforts to dominate the western Pacific oceans with Beijing's growing effort to project power at India's doorstep. It's a clever step for two reasons. First, New Delhi is increasingly concerned by China's sponsorship and use of the Pakistani port at Gwadar and related efforts to undermine India's security on its northern borders. Second, the U.S. needs all the allies it can get to deter Chinese President Xi Jinping's effort to turn the world's oceans into his private playground.

Unfortunately, there is still no U.S.-India trade deal, but that could be a good thing if, as the president suggests, this is because the two sides are working on a bigger deal than expected. This is a relationship that is important we get right, so patience is in order.

But, ultimately, this trip hinted at the possibilities of a very bright future. If India and the U.S. can form a common bond built on the rule of law, national sovereignty, and democracy, they will be that much more prosperous and safe. This presidential tale is not defined by tweets but by true statesmanship

Top Marine Orders Confederate Paraphernalia to Be Removed from All Bases

As states continue to grapple with the passionate debate over whether to display statues and other tributes to Confederate leaders, Marines have been told the materials won't be tolerated on any of the Corps' installations.

Commandant Gen. David Berger last week instructed top Marine leaders to remove Confederate-related paraphernalia from the service's bases worldwide. The directive is one of several forward-leaning initiatives Berger said he is "prioritizing for immediate execution."

In his memo, a copy of which was obtained by Military.com, Berger also ordered leaders to find ways to move more women into combat jobs, to review the possibility of yearlong maternity leave for female Marines, and to extend parental leave policies to same-sex partners.

The commandant's order came about a week after a congressional hearing on the rise of extremism in the ranks. A recent survey of active-duty troops by the independent Military Times also found signs of white supremacy are on the rise.

Maj. Eric Flanagan, Berger's spokesman, did not specify the types of Confederate paraphernalia the general wants stripped from Marine Corps bases.

"Last week, the Commandant of the Marine Corps directed specific tasks be reviewed or addressed by Headquarters Marine Corps staff," Flanagan said. "Many of the tasks were published on Twitter Friday. Other tasks not published previously are mostly administrative matters."

Official policy decisions, changes or implementation plans will be published in appropriate orders or service-wide messages, he added.

The debate over Confederate materials and names on military installations has swirled for years. Ten Army bases are named after leaders of secessionist states, a point of contention for many - especially after a 2015 racially motivated attack on a South Carolina church thrust the debate over honoring Confederate history onto the national stage.

The attack prompted fierce debate over whether state and local governments should remove statues, street names and other references to Confederate leaders. Major retailers announced they would no longer sell Confederate flags.

But the military's response to Confederate names, flags and other materials was less clear. The Defense Department didn't take any immediate action on the issue, Military Times reported at the time, opting to leave it up to individual services to address.

Former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh, who held elected offices in Baltimore for two decades and was elevated by voters to lead the city following the upheaval of 2015, was sentenced to three years in federal prison Thursday for a fraud scheme involving a children’s book series.

A plea deal struck with prosecutors last fall called for a sentence of between four and five years; prosecutors sought nearly five years, while Pugh’s attorneys asked that she receive a year and a day. ...

... In handing down the prison sentence, which was to be followed by three years of probation, Chasanow called Pugh’s crime “astounding.”

“I have yet frankly to hear any explanation that makes sense," the judge said. "This was not a tiny mistake, lapse of judgment. This became a very large fraud. The nature and circumstances of this offense clearly I think are extremely, extremely serious.”

Pugh’s political fall began in March when The Baltimore Sun revealed she had entered into a no-bid deal with the University of Maryland Medical System, where Pugh sat on the board of directors, to buy 100,000 copies of her sloppily self-published “Healthy Holly” books for $500,000. She later resigned from the board and as mayor amid multiple investigations into her finances and the book sales. In total, she netted more than $850,000, prosecutors say.

At the same time, she failed to print thousands of copies, double-sold thousands more and took many others to use for self-promotion, according to prosecutors.

Chasanow ordered Pugh to pay restitution of $400,000 to the medical system and nearly $12,000 to the Maryland Auto Insurance Fund, which also paid Pugh for books. ...

US Marine Corps orders removal of all Confederate paraphernalia from bases around the world

The push to erase US civil war history from all walks of American life has reached the military, with the Marine Corps ordering that all materials relating to the Confederacy be removed from its bases around the world.

The order was issued by the head of the Marines, Commandant General David Berger, in a memo to top staff that included a list of initiatives that he is “prioritizing for immediate execution,” Military.com reports.

Berger’s order came in the wake of a congressional hearing on the rise of extremism in the US armed forces. The US military is deployed in over 150 countries around the world. It is not known if there is a hard deadline for all paraphernalia containing Confederate symbols to be purged from bases.

Confederate symbols have long been the focus of intense debate in the US. The discussion heated up in the wake of the 2015 Charleston church shooting when local governments across the country faced calls to remove statues and monuments honouring Confederate figures.

The movement gained wider public support following the infamous 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The fiasco saw white supremacist groups and a loose gathering of right-wingers clash with left-wing and ‘anti-fascist’ protesters over the planned removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E Lee.

A recent survey carried out by The Military Times found that more than a third of all active-duty troops say they have personally witnessed an example of white nationalism or ideologically driven racism from another person within their ranks in recent months.

The man who opened fire at the Molson Coors plant Wednesday, killing five co-workers and himself, had been involved in a long-running dispute with a co-worker that boiled over before he started shooting, according to a law enforcement source.

Anthony N. Ferrill, 51, had worked as an electrician for more than 20 years, according to sources and online employment records.

A co-worker who asked not to be identified for fear of being disciplined said Ferrill believed he was being discriminated against because he was African American, and that he frequently argued with at least one of the victims, a fellow electrician.

The co-worker said Ferrill frequently watched movies on his phone during the day, which the other electrician took issue with, and that the two accused each other of going into each others' offices and stealing tools or tampering with computer equipment.

About a year ago, the employee said, Ferrill started saying he believed Miller workers were coming into his home, bugging his computer and moving chairs around.

"I was, are you serious, Anthony? What? We all kind of joked about it, saying we should maybe get him an aluminum hat. Things just started getting weird. But he was dead serious about it," the co-worker said.

But another co-worker, Keith Giese, said Ferrill seemed fine when he last saw him earlier this week.

"I never had a clue. I talked to him a couple of days ago and he seemed fine to me," Giese said. "I had no idea that there was a problem, that somebody could snap like that."

As word spread Thursday that Ferrill was the shooter, current and former co-workers echoed that surprise.

"He was a very good electrician, a very good worker, and I couldn’t say anything bad about the guy," said Phillip Rauch Sr. who retired in April after working with Ferrill for 15 years. "Every time I worked with him he was always in a good mood."

Ferrill was a licensed industrial journeyman electrician a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers in Milwaukee. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1987 to 1991 and was honorably discharged, according to Rick Flowers of Milwaukee County Veterans’ Services.

Ferrill received a VA loan to help purchase his three-bedroom ranch home on the 8200 block of W. Potomac Ave. He and his wife and family lived there with his family since 2004.

According to online court records, he was a co-plaintiff with MillerCoors LLC Health Benefits Program in a 2015 lawsuit that appears to be in connection with an auto accident.

Neighbors shocked

Neighbors said he was known to carry guns; some said he always carried a gun.

Elizabeth LaPine has lived in the neighborhood for 11 years. She said she once saw what she believed to be a gun safe delivered to the home.

“I knew he was interested in guns,” LaPine said.

She said it was hard to believe that her neighbor was the shooter.

“I would never believe it ... that he could do something like that,” LaPine said. “He didn’t give me the impression that there was anything wrong. It didn’t seem like there was anything different.”

Ferril had a Doberman pincher named Lucas, LaPine said.

“He loved that dog,” LaPine said. “He played ball with it in the street when there wasn’t much traffic. He’d throw the ball down the street and the dog would chase after it.”

LaPine said Ferril walked the dog every day before leaving for work.

Like others who live in the neighborhood, LaPine said Ferrill looked out for his home and his neighbors.

“He had given me his phone number about a year ago,” LaPine said. “He said ‘If you see anybody messing around the house or anything like that ... give me a call.’"

Neighbor Patricia Dibb said she felt “shock, anger, sadness” when she heard about the shooting.

“Sadness for the families; sadness for his wife; sadness for his daughter,” Dibb said while holding back tears. “Sadness.”

LaPine said she also feels terrible for the families involved, including the Ferrils.

“If you’re mad at somebody or something, talk it out, don’t shoot it out,” LaPine said. “You’re just hurting so many families.”

It is totally plausable that many large scale corportized festivals are using MK ULTRA tactics on attendees.

So I started thinking about this after learning about US Patent #US6506148B2.

What if some of these corporatized extravagent festivals are being used as further experimentation for the MK ULTRA project?

I have been to smaller, local festivals where production not as intense graphic & lighting wise. Where the lighting and stuff really didn't bother me.

However, I have attended EDCLV, Lost Lands, and also ULTRA Miami. Through all of them I had a very hard time dealing with the production, the lights, the volume, all of it. I should note I am a sober raver after conquering my heroin addiction years ago. I do not even drink.

At these 3 shows in particular, I had to leave most of the sets because the lighting and graphics honestly made me nauseous and sick feeling or I had a sudden wave of aggression or sadness or fear just hit me out of nowhere. I left each fest in a terrible mental state. I do not have a history of epilepsy or anything like that. After returning home, for MONTHS after these 3 festivals in particular, I had wildly vivid and lucid night terrors. EDC was the worst of all. The night terrors lead me to becoming severly depressed because I did not want to sleep for being afraid of my dreams. I became suicidal and ended up admitting myself into a mental health facility because I did not know where else to turn for help. The doctors had no explanation for me, I am considered a perfectly healthy person, they did not even talk about perscribing me medications because as far as they concluded I was not a candidate for them. I was not diagnosed with clinical depression or anxiety and was released b.c they could find no reason to keep me for further treatment.

I have stopped going to large scale festivals all together but friends of mine who have continued to go have had similar complaints as well after attending, night terrors, changed attitude, changed behaviors, depressive episodes, suicidal thoughts etc.

It's at the VERY least plauisble for this to be a thing. How could anybody say it isn't possible? Large crowds known to be on psychoactive substances, constantly changing graphics, lazers, strobes, intensely amplified frequencies.

Again, this is just something I have had on my mind heavily since I learned about patent US6506148B2 a few weeks ago. After learning about it it made sense to me when I thought back to that period of time and I'm curious if anybody else may have had this thought or believes this could be true?

For weeks, the outside world has speculated about the severity of the coronavirus outbreak in North Korea. And the entire time, North Korea has persisted in insisting that it doesn't have a coronavirus problem, even growing furious at a public offer of assistance from the State Department.

For all we know about the North Korean virus response, the government might have simply brainwashed the North Korean people into believing that loyalty to the Workers Party and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un grants immunity to the virus. However, there have been whispers.

A few weeks ago, there were whispers that one of the first coronavirus patients in the country was brutally killed by the regime after escaping from a (probably unimaginably brutal) quarantine. Moreover, according to the rumor, he was executed via the traditional North Korean punishment of extirpating criminals by shooting them with an anti-aircraft slug.

Now, IB Times, a shady English-language news website with a reputation for occasionally scooping its more cautious competitors, is reporting that Kim Jong Un allegedly ordered the execution of the country's first coronavirus patient. IBT cited an anonymous twitter account called "Secret Beijing", claiming it has a history of reporting accurately.

According to Secret Beijing, an anonymous social media commentator, who terms himself as an analyst on China affairs, the patient was shot dead. The story is still developing and there is still no clarity on the details of the patient executed by North Korea.

The account points out that such brutal tactics are in line with the regime's reputation.

It had been suggested last week that the patient had left quarantine to visit a public bath, and was killed for doing so. The victim caught the virus in China, then brought it back to NK. Pyongyang reportedly told the WHO that it had tested 141 suspected cases of coronavirus, and that all came up negative.

The South Korean press has reported that several cases have been identified in the North, with some of them leading to death, mirroring what's happening in Iran's obviously overwhelmed health-care system.

It's believed that fear of the virus has kept KJU from appearing in public over the past few weeks.

Buried in the fine print of a document filed as part of the Boy Scouts of America bankruptcy last week is a brief mention of a potentially huge asset: "original Rockwell paintings."

The disclosure that the organization owns works by Norman Rockwell, the American painter and illustrator, is hardly a surprise since the artist and Scouts have been linked for more than a century. But the acknowledgment of those valuable assets, potentially worth millions to creditors, could set off a legal fight over their future.

With the Boy Scouts estimating they'll face about 1,700 lawsuits over alleged sexual abuse dating back decades, the nonprofit is under pressure to sell off its holdings to pay victims. By filing for bankruptcy, the organization has tried to provide itself a path to carry out that process in an orderly way.

The Boys Scouts of America declined to comment for this story.

And my response to it: Looks like an attempt to explain time travel using Einsteins basis. I do not think Einstein was entirely correct regarding some things. I lean more towards the Tesla 3 6 9 explanation of the universe (toroidal). If the two of them had put their minds together, I believe this world would be very different today. Fort Bragg is warning the public that suspicious looking military activity could erupt on private land across multiple North Carolina counties next month as part of a cryptic Special Forces training exercise.

This could include hearing explosions and seeing soldiers acting as ”guerrilla freedom fighters,” according to a release from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg.

Exact times, locations and exercise specifics are not being publicized, officials said in the release.

“Residents may hear blank gunfire and see occasional flares ... No real bombs will be used, but people in nearby areas may hear loud bangs that replicate the idea of a bomb,” officials told McClatchy News.

“Controls are in place to ensure there is no risk to persons or property. Residents with concerns should contact local law enforcement officials, who will immediately contact exercise control officials,” a release said.

Known as Robin Sage training, the unconventional warfare exercises are like live-action role playing, with hostile engagement between Special Forces students, volunteer civilians and soldiers out of Fort Bragg.

The program dates back 60 years, officials said. But advance has became more critical after a soldier was killed and another was wounded in 2002 by a Moore County deputy who mistook Robin Sage for criminal activity.

The exercises will run March 6 through March 19, and students may pass through any one of 21 counties, including Wake County and Union County, according to a press release. The engagements will take place out of public view on private land, officials say.

The participants may be in civilian clothes, but will wear “a distinctive brown armband,” and all the active training areas will be “clearly labeled,” officials said.

“Military service members from units across Fort Bragg will also support the exercise. These military members act as realistic opposing forces and guerrilla freedom fighters,” the warfare center said.

“Candidates are placed in an environment of political instability characterized by armed conflict, forcing Soldiers to analyze and solve problems to meet the challenges of this ‘real-world’ training.”

A popular baby monitor has been found riddled with vulnerabilities that give attackers full access to personal information and sensitive video footage.

SAN FRANCISCO – Researchers have discovered a slew of security vulnerabilities in a popular baby monitor, which if exploited allows attackers to remotely access the camera’s video footage.

The vulnerabilities were discovered in the iBaby Monitor M6S connected baby camera by researchers with Bitdefender. On Wednesday, here at the RSA Conference, some technical details of the discovery were disclosed. Researchers said the initial discovery was on May 20 (PDF) and that despite privately disclosing the bugs to the camera’s manufacture, iBaby Labs, it still has not heard from the company.

“We’ve tried to reach out to iBaby since May 2019 about three major vulnerabilities in their baby monitor but haven’t heard back,” Alex Jay Balan, chief security researcher at Bitdefender, said during an RSA session. “If someone registers a [baby monitor], it’s possible to get full access.”

Threatpost has also reached out to iBaby Labs for comment.

The Flaws

The most severe flaw stems from an issue with the baby monitor’s implementation of the MQTT communication protocol, which is often used by IoT and machine-to-machine applications. Configuration issues with MQTT protocols have also plagued other IoT device makers. Over the past year, improper configuration of MQTT has opened the doors to various vulnerabilities including bugs in smart deadbolts and just this week researchers at RSAC shared details of a vulnerability in a connected vacuum cleaner.

In the context of the vulnerable iBaby Monitor, the MQTT protocol used between the baby monitor and the corresponding mobile app was leaking camera ID numbers, user ID numbers, camera status (online or offline) data and in some cases user credentials. While the data is encrypted using AES256, the key and initialization vector (a fixed-size input for payload encryption) are easily predictable and are all hardcoded for all messages, Balan said.

An attacker would be able to monitor this data remotely when a user configures a camera, ultimately giving them the ability to stream video, take screenshots, record video and play music using obtained credentials.

“They used MQTT in the wrong way, so if you subscribe to iBaby, you will get spammed with notifications of the devices registered – including the device ID of each device,” said Balan. “In some cases, the user device password is also broadcast.”

Researchers also found a misconfigured AWS bucket, which is used to store videos, pictures and sound collected from the baby monitor. Because the S3 bucket is improperly set up, an attacker would be easily able to access files stored in it – including private video recordings of babies and their parents.

Finally, an Indirect Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability in the iBaby Monitor M6S was broadcasting personal data of device owners insecurely. IDOR vulnerabilities occur when an application provides direct access to objects based on user-supplied input. This reveals potentially sensitive data about the user. If an attacker knows the device ID of one device (which they can easily obtain through either data exposed by the MQTT protocol or the S3 bucket), they can use it to exploit the IDOR vulnerability to access all of the device’s information. That includes the names and profile pictures of the devices’ owners, as well as their email addresses and location and timestamps showing when they accessed their camera.

IoT Security

Over the past years, vulnerabilities in an array of connected consumer devices have compromised children’s privacy. For example, the popular smartwatch TicTocTrack was plagued by security issues that could allow hackers to track and call children. Flaws in a component used by an IP security camera makers exposed more than 2 million devices to attackers who could hijack the company’s security cameras, baby monitors and smart doorbells. Researchers warn enterprises in particular to be wary of connected device security issues.

“These [flaws] may be present in the devices that you own… Be mindful of that,” said Balan. “They’re extremely difficult to catch and prevent. You won’t know about exposed recordings or other data without a thorough audit, so I strongly advise if you have any device without a graphic interface, to hire pentesters to look at it.”

WASHINGTON—President Trump has signaled his support for a measure that would prohibit the U.S. government from turning to a secretive surveillance court to obtain wiretaps on Americans, according to a White House official, setting up a potential clash between the president and the intelligence community.

Sen. Rand Paul, the Kentucky Republican drafting the measure, told reporters on Thursday that he was crafting an amendment to an upcoming intelligence bill that would overhaul the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

The court has been used for decades by investigators to clandestinely obtain permission to surveil people in the U.S. suspected of posing a national-security or counterintelligence risk. Mr. Paul said his amendment would force the Justice Department to seek surveillance warrants for national-security cases from traditional federal courts, as the government does in routine criminal cases.

The senator said he talked to the president about the amendment on Wednesday and said Mr. Trump gave the effort his approval. “He’s seen my amendment, and he says he’s supportive of it,” Mr. Paul said.

In order to determine if a geopolitical or economic threat is legitimate, I find it helps to watch how the mainstream propaganda narrative flows and changes. For example, for the past year as almost every fundamental indicator was flashing warning signs on the global economy the primary message in the mainstream was that central banks would never allow any major shocks to the financial system. In other words, they would pour in cash at the slightest hint of trouble. The conclusion for the investment world? To “buy the F'ing dip!" Why not? You can't lose.

Despite the fact that fraudulent stock markets artificially inflated by corporate stock buybacks are irrelevant to the health of our system, they still represent a psychological placebo for the masses. Very few people care that it is a historic bubble; as long as everything is in the green they assume that all is well with the economy.

In the past, anyone who pointed out that this attitude was a recipe for disaster, anyone who argued that the system was breaking and the Everything Bubble was popping was called a “doom monger” or “chicken little”.

I've noticed very recently (in the last week) that this attack response is shifting in an interesting way. Where propaganda peddlers used to call us “paranoid”, now they argue that “our prepping or precious metals stacking won't save us...” People are “coming to take our supplies...” they say. That's quite a 180 degree flip flop. As preppers and alternative economists are proven more and more right everyday, the narrative has changed from telling us we're wrong, to telling us we will be sorry for being right.

Well, I'm not sorry for being right and neither should any other liberty analyst or preparedness advocate. I believe the information we have provided to millions of people has encouraged them to remain vigilant and ready for crisis, and hopefully this will keep them alive in the future. The so-called “skeptics” seem to be determined to convince people to do absolutely nothing; to remain blind to any data that does not fit the recovery narrative and to have no backup plan in the event that something goes wrong. Why all the hostility towards the idea of simply being prepared?

Who benefits the most if you and the majority of people have no contingency plan? Who has something to gain by trying to convince you to ignore the obvious?

As mentioned, if they can't win by conning the liberty movement into turning a blind eye to the facts, they have decided to let us know that it doesn't matter and we will still be made to suffer for our defiance. This confirms my long-time argument that prepping is only the beginning of the fight; it is a means to an end. The real fight will be for our freedoms and the freedoms of future generations. Those who think the goal is only about survival are severely mistaken. Personal survival would be nice, but the survival of our principles and our way of life takes precedence, and this will require us to do a lot more than merely stock supplies and hide out in the woods.

Their portfolio includes a botched attempt in 2017, in which a Project Veritas employee tried to feed a false story to the Washington Post about being raped by Roy Moore, a then GOP Senate candidate and accused sexual predator, in an apparent effort to cast doubt on the Alabama women who publicly came forward against him. Sen. Rubio Urges National Security Review of Deal Between AT&T and Czech Firm, Citing China Concerns

A U.S. senator has requested the government review AT&T’s upcoming sale of its stake in a European media company to a Czech investment firm, over the Czech company’s links to the Chinese communist regime.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), in a Feb. 26 letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Attorney General William Barr, urged a review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) to consider the national security implications of AT&T’s pending $1.1 billion sale to PPF Group of its stake in Central European Media Enterprises (CME Group). The sale was announced last November.

CFIUS, which sits under the Treasury Department, reviews mergers, acquisitions, and stock purchases to ensure they don’t harm U.S. national security.

Rubio said in the letter that PPF Group and its CEO Petr Kellner “have a record of acting as China’s proxies inside the Czech Republic.”

The claim was based on revelations made by Czech daily Aktualne.cz that PPF funded a public relations firm to improve the Chinese regime’s image among Czech media, politicians, and the public.

“This work included spying on Czech politicians, pressuring media to withdraw news articles critical of China, and creating a new think-tank, Sinoskop, to employ biased analysts to influence public debate,” Rubio wrote.

He noted that about a third of PPF’s profits come from its subsidiary Home Credit, an individual lending business in China. According to business publication Ekonom, PPF earned more than 2 billion euros (about $2.2 billion) in China in 2017.

As a result, “Mr. Kellner and his companies have supported China’s malign activities abroad,” Rubio wrote.

“It has come to my attention that PPF has already used its expected acquisition of CME’s Czech media outlets to intimidate Czech media and politicians into silence,” he said.

CME has 30 channels that reach about 45 million viewers across five countries: the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovak Republic, and Slovenia.

The senator said the United States has an “interest in preserving a free and open media environment overseas as well as preventing the Chinese Communist Party from subverting these platforms in its efforts to undermine democratic norms worldwide.”

The Justice Department and Treasury Department did not immediately return The Epoch Times’ request for comment.

The Chinese regime has ramped up efforts in recent years to influence public perceptions abroad through its state-run media and by directly or indirectly injecting its propaganda and narrative into foreign media outlets.

Reddit Purges Moderators of Largest Pro-Trump Community ‘The Donald’

Several moderators of The Donald, Reddit’s largest pro-Trump community, have been purged by the site’s administrators, who aim to replace them with moderators approved by the San Francisco company. The Donald’s creators say this is the latest in Reddit’s “thousand cuts” campaign to kill off its massively successful pro-Trump community.

The Donald is one of largest and influential hubs of pro-Trump activity on the web, with over 790,000 subscribed Reddit users. In 2016, the community’s users were responsible for the creation and proliferation of numerous pro-Trump tropes and memes across the Internet, in what has colloquially become known as the “great meme war.”

The Reddit administrators announced their purge in a post on The Donald, offering to “help” recruit new moderators, and implying a list of conditions on applicants.

In a statement to Breitbart News, moderators of The Donald accused Reddit of trying to kill its pro-Trump community with “a thousand cuts,” and urged subscribers to migrate to thedonald.win, an independent Reddit-like site created by the pro-Trump community.

The Donald’s statement follows:

Reddit has been trying to slowly kill The_Donald since it played a role in getting Trump elected in 2016. It started with user harassment, moved on to restricting our posts from being seen by most of the rest of Reddit (The third highest-traffic website in the world), then entirely quarantining us from the rest of the website as well as search engine results.

In the last couple of days, China-backed Reddit has begun warning and banning our users not only for posting content that they disagree with, but even “liking” wrongthink. Finally, on Tuesday, Reddit admins removed more than half of the moderators that have spent the last four years of their lives building the number one Trump supporting online community and announced that they would be choosing users to replace us. Their post requesting new moderators was met with thousands of responses telling them, in no-so-nice words, to shove it.

As they’ve done with other Reddit communities, such as Kotaku In Action, they’ll be installing their own puppet moderators to continue to silence and dilute our message. Reddit knows that to entirely ban what is effectively the only conservative voice on their website would garner them too much negative press, and possibly legal attention, so they’ve been trying to kill off The_Donald with a thousand cuts.

In preparation for this inevitable course of events, the mod team established a backup website, free from the political censorship of Reddit, and have encouraged our users to migrate to it (of which at least 100,000 have in the last day). The_Donald can now be found on an independent website, created and run by the people that have ran The_Donald for years, at http://thedonald.win.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says Washington "does not and will not ever recognize" Moscow's claim to Ukraine's Crimea region, which it seized in 2014 and annexed.

Pompeo said that "February 27 will mark the sixth anniversary of Russia's attempted annexation of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula, and the United States reaffirms: Crimea is Ukraine."

"As underscored in our July 2018 Crimea Declaration, the United States does not and will not ever recognize Russia's claims of sovereignty over the peninsula. We call on Russia to end its occupation of Crimea," he said.

"Six years on, Russia continues to rely on lies and disinformation in its failed attempt to legitimize the illegitimate. Its efforts are doomed to failure," he said.

Pompeo said the world will never forget "Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine."

"The United States condemns Russia's illegal actions in Crimea and its continued aggressive actions against Ukraine, including in the Donbas, and will maintain sanctions against Russia until it returns control of Crimea to Ukraine and fully implements its commitments under the Minsk agreements," he said, referring to a set of agreements struck in the Belarusian capital aimed at ending the conflict.

Pompeo's remarks came hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy issued a decree designating February 26 a memorial day to mark Russia's annexation of Crimea - an annexation not recognized by the international community and which has led to a series of sanctions against Moscow.

According to Russian state-run TASS news agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Zelenskiy's move "does not correspond to the real situation around Crimea," adding that Moscow "categorically" disagrees with the wording of Zelenskiy's decree.

Russia seized the Black Sea peninsula in March 2014 after sending in troops and staging a referendum deemed illegitimate by at least 100 countries. In April that year, Russia threw its support behind armed separatists in Ukraine’s eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, generally known as the Donbas, where more than 13,000 people have been killed in the ongoing conflict.

Pompeo said that "Russia's occupation of Crimea and its increasing militarization of the peninsula is a threat to our common security."

He added that Moscow's "occupation authorities continue their assault on human rights and fundamental freedoms, brutally silencing critics in civil society and the media, and curtailing religious freedom."

Pompeo said more than 80 people from Crimea, including members of the Tatar community, "have been imprisoned by Russia - and some subjected to torture - for peaceful opposition to the occupation."

He also said Moscow had violated international law by forcibly conscripting nearly 20,000 Crimean men, a charge leveled in November by Human Rights Watch (HRW), which said the men were being forced to serve in the Russian military.

U.S. President Donald Trump this week extended for one year a series of previously imposed sanctions on Russia over its actions in Ukraine.

Trump's executive order was signed on February 25 and includes a package of sanctions that have expanded in scope over time since March 6, 2014.

MOSCOW (AP) — A former senior aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Ukraine will never be able to regain control over the separatist-controlled east.

Vladislav Surkov, who lost his job as Putin's adviser on Ukraine earlier this month, said in remarks published Wednesday that he stepped down because of a shift in the Kremlin course on the Ukrainian conflict. He didn't spell out specific reasons for his departure, saying only that it was due to a “change in context” on Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has made settling the conflict in eastern Ukraine his top priority. December's summit of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany failed to achieve a breakthrough, but the four leaders made a deal on a prisoner exchange and agreed on further moves toward settling the conflict in the east.

Observers in Moscow attributed Surkov's dismissal to the Kremlin's intention to take a less hawkish line on Ukraine, taking advantage of Zelenskiy's intention to move toward a settlement. Surkov was succeeded as the Kremlin's point man on Ukraine by another longtime Putin aide, Dmitry Kozak.

Asked Wednesday if the Russian policy on Ukraine has shifted, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov shrugged off Surkov's claim, saying that the Kremlin adheres to a 2015 peace agreement brokered by France and Germany as the basis for political settlement.

The conflict in Ukraine'smostly Russian-speaking industrial east, called Donbass, erupted in April 2014 — weeks after Russia's annexation of the Crimean Peninsula. More than 14,000 have been killed in fighting between Ukrainian forces and Russia-backed separatists.

Surkov hailed leaders of separatists in eastern Ukraine as “true warriors” and “real heroes.” He charged that Ukraine will never be able to restore its control over the rebel-controlled territories.

“Donbass doesn't deserve such humiliation,” he said. “Ukraine doesn't deserve such honor.”

Surkov's harsh statement contrasted sharply with the usual rhetoric from the Kremlin, which has urged Ukrainian authorities to engage in dialogue with the rebels and work out a political settlement that would offer broad autonomy to the rebel regions in line with the 2015 peace deal. Such autonomous status was seen by the Kremlin as a key lever to hold off Ukraine's aspiration to join NATO.

During their talks in December, the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany scheduled their next meeting for April in Berlin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned, however, that calling the next four-way summit will be contingent on observing previous agreements.

“We will only discuss the timing of the next summit only after the implementation of what we talked about in Paris, including normalization on the ground, clearing mines and political issues linked ... to codifying a special status” of Donbass, Lavrov said Wednesday.

He pointed out that during December's summit, the Ukrainian president backed off from a preliminary deal to disengage Ukrainian and separatist forces along the entire line of contact in the east.

“So our second demand is that we will only discuss the timing for the summit after we prepare and sign a draft final document, so that there is no derailing of preliminary agreements,” Lavrov said.

Most of that community saw the writing on the wall even before the quarantine and has moved elsewhere. They've been trying to take T_D down since before Trump got elected but they've been really stepping it up since middle of last year. Fighting on Reddit is a losing battle, unfortunately. Steven Levy, author of the book ‘Facebook: The Inside Story’, reveals new secrets about the character of Facebook’s chief executive and the way he participates in running the giant social media and technology company.

A new book written by tech journalist Stephen Levy claims that Facebook founder and director, Mark Zuckerberg, used to shout "Domination!" at the end of company staff meetings, according to the Times.

The book, published Tuesday, reportedly claims that the young entrepreneur once stated in Latin that “Google must be destroyed” in reference to the Roman leader Cato the Elder, who ended his Senate speeches by calling for Rome’s nemesis to be destroyed, saying “Carthago delenda est”.

The book, which includes hundreds of interviews from former and current insiders, as well as an earlier private journal of Zuckerberg's that he titled the 'Book of Change', sheds light on the rise of Facebook, which now boasts over 2.9 billion users, a number that includes users of subsidiary companies WhatsApp and Instagram.

Levy, in his book, claims that the 35-year-old billionaire used to shout "Domination!" as a way to help him overcome his fear of speaking to large groups of people. The author suggested that the use of the rallying cry was intended to be "in the spirit of the ancient leaders who had so long ago captured [Zuckerberg’s] imagination", according to The Times.

"It was tongue in cheek but he also meant it. And it was inspiring," Katie Geminder, a former engineering manager for Facebook in its early days, reportedly told the author.

Sean Parker, one of the company’s first investors, reportedly advised Zuckerberg at least once to be careful using the word 'domination', as it could be cited in a competition lawsuit.

Zuckerberg is known to be obsessed with the Roman emperor Augustus, Julius Caesar’s great-nephew and adopted son, and has named one of his children August.

The author cited insiders who claimed that when Google launched its rival Google Plus social network in 2011, the Zuckerberg held a general staff meeting in which he stated that “Google must be destroyed”. Following that meeting, staff reportedly produced posters to be displayed in company offices proclaiming the Latin slogan.

Levy also claims that Zuckerberg told him that as a child he used to create societies with Ninja Turtles toys and “kind of model out how they’d interact with each other and things like that. I was just very interested in how systems worked like that”.

As part of his obsession with Roman emperors, the young billionaire developed a unique ‘Roman version’ of the world-conquest strategy game ‘Risk’. “Zuckerberg’s digital version was set in the age of the Roman Empire. You’d try to beat Julius Caesar. Zuckerberg always won,” the book reads.

The Federal Execution Protocol Addendum, which closely mirrors protocols utilized by several states, including currently Georgia, Missouri, and Texas, replaces the three-drug procedure previously used in Federal executions with a single drug—Pentobarbital. 

Since 2010, 14 states have used Pentobarbital in over 200 executions, and Federal courts, including the Supreme Court, have repeatedly upheld the use of Pentobarbital in executions as consistent with the Eighth Amendment.

Upon Attorney General Barr’s direction, Acting Director Hurwitz adopted the Addendum to the Federal Execution Protocol and, in accordance with 28 C.F.R. Part 26.

PENTOBARBITAL: Pentobarbital, also known as pentobarbitone, is a short-acting barbiturate. In high doses, pentobarbital causes death by respiratory arrest. In the United States, the drug has been used for executions of convicted criminals.

On July 25, 2019, US Attorney General William Barr directed the Federal government to resume capital punishment after 16 years.

Pentobarbitol's old name was Nembutal, known on the streets as "Yellow Jackets" due to yellow capsule.

Michael Flynn seeks total exoneration, not pardon, says his attorney

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s lawyer, Sidney Powell, told Just the News this week that she is seeking total exoneration of her client from the Department of Justice in a case that has dragged on for years.

“We don't want a pardon," she told the site's CEO John Solomon for his podcast John Solomon Reports. "We want an exoneration."

While emphasizing that her client wouldn’t dismiss the idea of accepting a pardon, Powell made clear that she and Flynn have set their sights higher.

“We want this case dismissed in the interest of justice,” she said.

Flynn, National Security Adviser for a brief time in the early weeks of the Trump presidency, pleaded guilty in 2017 to making false statements to FBI agents about his contacts with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak in December 2016, during the presidential transition following Donald Trump's election.

The alleged incident took place in 2010, according to a transcript published Thursday by Channel 13 of a police interrogation of former Netanyahu spokesman Nir Hefetz as part of the corruption investigations into the premier.

A People’s Republic of China (PRC) navy destroyer 161 on Feb. 17 aimed a laser at a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft while it flying above international waters, according to the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

The incident took place approximately 380 miles west of Guam and occurred without provocation, the fleet's public affairs office said in a statement.

The laser China used, which is invisible to the naked eye, had been observed by a sensor that was onboard the P-8A.

Weapons-grade lasers have the potential to cause serious harm to servicemembers and could have damaged various ship and aircraft systems.

"The PRC navy destroyer’s actions were unsafe and unprofessional," the release read.

"Additionally, these acts violate the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES), a multilateral agreement reached at the 2014 Western Pacific Naval Symposium to reduce the chance of an incident at sea. CUES specifically addresses the use of lasers that could cause harm to personnel or damage to equipment."

Abe to push forward with school closures

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says the government will push forward with its plan to temporarily close schools and will not hesitate to take the necessary steps to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

The government decided on Thursday to request the closure of all elementary, junior and senior high schools and schools for students with special needs from Monday.

The push for FISA reform is intensifying on Capitol Hill this week as Republicans and Democrats battled behind closed doors Thursday to find solutions that would ensure federal law enforcement, intelligence agencies and the secret court never again abuse the surveillance apparatus that was center of the FBI’s malfeasance to spy on the Trump campaign in 2016.

KYIV. Feb 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) has registered a criminal case on pressure from former U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden on former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin.

"The SBI has added information on the criminal offence to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations," Shokin's lawyer Oleksandr Teleshetsky said during a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency on February 27.

The case was opened under an appeal from Shokin. The court obliged the SBI to register the proceeding.

In his motion, Shokin spoke of pressure put on him by Biden, Teleshetsky said.

"The reason for the pressure was the investigation being conducted by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine into grave crimes of international corruption linked with the activities of former Ecology Minister of Ukraine Mykola Zlochevsky and top managers at the Burisma company," he said.

Shokin's motion was filed with the State Bureau of Investigations back on January 28, 2020, but information about the criminal offence was added to the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations only on February 24 after the country ordered the bureau to register the case, Teleshetsky said.

The case was opened under Part 2 of Article 343 (on the charge of interfering in the work of an official of a law enforcement agency), he said.

Even though Shokin included Biden's name in the motion, which prompted the opening of the case, the investigation itself mentions only a "U.S. citizen," without giving any names, Teleshetsky said.

The SBI is also handling criminal cases opened in response to Shokin's motion on charges of disclosing pretrial probe secrets to employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, he said.

"Bearing in mind the fact that a possible suspect in all three of these criminal offences could be Joseph Biden, as a person who, in our opinion, is involved in these events, we deem it necessary to merge all the cases into one, in order to ensure an effective investigation and set up a competent investigative group, as well as a group of experienced prosecutors who can ensure the investigation within a reasonable period of time," Teleshetsky said.

It is also advisable to invite the U.S. to take part in the investigation, he said, adding that he would forward the relevant request to the Prosecutor General's Office.

"We'll definitely do this. This is one of the priorities in this criminal investigation, because this case can't be investigated without involving mechanisms of international legal cooperation," Teleshetsky said.

"Judging by remarks Biden allowed himself to make in public, Viktor Mykolayovych Shokin has sufficient grounds to believe that it was him [Biden] who masterminded and, to a certain extent, perpetrated those criminal offences to which Shokin alerted the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine," he said.

Greek law enforcement agencies, in turn, are investigating Shokin's mercury poisoning in 2019, Teleshetsky said, adding that Shokin himself links this incident to Biden.

"The results of this investigation are not yet available today. We don't have sufficient grounds to assert...file motions and requests with the law enforcement agencies of Greece before they establish the objective truth in all circumstances... Possibly, they will appear tomorrow or the day after tomorrow," he said.

As reported, in a number of interviews, U.S. President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudolph Giuliani has claimed that the former vice president interfered in Ukrainian politics and was involved in incidents of corruption. For instance, Giuliani alleges that former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Shokin was dismissed at Biden's request, allegedly for investigating Burisma's connections with his son Hunter Biden.

Shokin said in late January 2020, that he had survived mercury poisoning in Greece five months before, after which he had to undergo lengthy medical treatment.

What Is The Deep State?

A new focus on the Deep State in undermining the national interests has become a serious thought for many citizens. Not known to many, the Deep State has its origin in the British Empire and how the Round Table infiltrated former British colonies (including India) through America.

Last year, fuel was added to this fire when internal memos were leaked from the British-run Integrity Initiative featuring a startling account of the techniques deployed by the anti-Russian British operation to infiltrate American intelligence institutions, think tanks and media.

The Integrity Initiative

For those who may not know, The Integrity Initiative is an anti-Russian propaganda outfit funded to the tune of $140 million by the British Foreign office. Throughout 2019, leaks have been released featuring documents dated to the early period of Trump’s election, demonstrating that this organization, already active across Europe promoting anti-Russian PR and smearing nationalist leaders such as Jeremy Corbyn, was intent on spreading deeply into the State Department and setting up “clusters” of anti-Trump operatives. The documents reveal high level meetings that Integrity Initiative Director Chris Donnelly had with former Trump Advisor Sebastien Gorka, McCain Foundation director Kurt Volker, Pentagon PR guru John Rendon among many others.

The exposure of the British hand behind the scenes affords us a unique glimpse into the real historical forces undermining America’s true constitutional tradition throughout the 20th century, as Mueller/the Five Eyes/Integrity Initiative are not new phenomena but actually follow a modus operandi set down for already more than a century. One of the biggest obstacles to seeing this modus operandi run by the British Empire is located in the belief in a mythology which has become embedded in the global psyche for over half a century and which we should do our best to free ourselves of.

Myth of the “American Empire”

While there has been a long-standing narrative promoted for over 70 years that the British Empire disappeared after World War II having been replaced by the “American Empire”, it is the furthest thing from the truth. America, as constitutionally represented by its greatest presidents (who can unfortunately be identified by their early deaths while serving in office), were never colonialist and were always in favor of reining in British Institutions at home while fighting British colonial thinking abroad.

Franklin Roosevelt’s thirteen year-long battle with the Deep State, which he referred to as the “economic royalists who should have left America in 1776″, was defined in clear terms by his patriotic Vice-President Henry Wallace who warned of the emergence of a new Anglo-American fascism in 1944 when he said:

“Fascism in the postwar inevitably will push steadily for Anglo-Saxon imperialism and eventually for war with Russia. Already American fascists are talking and writing about this conflict and using it as an excuse for their internal hatreds and intolerances toward certain races, creeds and classes.”

The fact is that already in 1944, a policy of Anglo-Saxon imperialism had been promoted subversively by British-run think tanks known as the Round Table Movement and Fabian Society, and the seeds had already been laid for the anti-Russian cold war by those British-run American fascists. It is not a coincidence that this fascist Cold War policy was announced in a March 5, 1946 speech in Fulton, Missouri by none other than Round Table-follower and the butcher of Bengal, Winston Churchill.
