PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies from the Paulding County Sheriff's Office are looking for a 14-year-old girl who they said is missing.

According to deputies, Alivia Price was last seen in the area of Garmon Road off of Ridge Road and Nebo Road.

She is described as a white female, standing 5-feet-3-inches tall. She weighs about 115 pounds, with brown and blond hair and green eyes.

Anyone who has seen her or who may have information about her is asked to call the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at 770-443-3010.

Energy Transfer Says CEO of Williams Secretly Undermined Takeover

Energy Transfer LP claims Williams Cos.’s chief executive officer covertly undermined one of the pipeline industry’s biggest-ever takeovers and then sought to cover his tracks as the $33 billion deal imploded. Williams CEO Alan Armstrong used a personal email account and private meetings to help a former employee mount a legal challenge to a merger publicly supported by Williams’ board, Energy Transfer said in a Delaware Court of Chancery filing. Armstrong’s efforts amounted to “overt steps to scuttle the merger,” according to the filing.

A Williams representative called the allegations “unfounded” and said they represent an attempt by Energy Transfer “to avoid the consequences of its own conduct.” Williams believes it’s “entitled to judgment in its favor,” according to an emailed statement.

Energy Transfer and Williams have been sparring over a $1.5 billion breakup fee since June 2016, when a combination that would have created the nation’s largest natural gas transporter fell through in one of the industry’s most notorious failures. Williams argued Energy Transfer was unfairly trying to exact the breakup fee after abandoning the deal.

This latest argument by Energy Transfer seeks to convince a Delaware judge that Williams was in breach of the merger agreement, and that that absolves Energy Transfer from having to pay anything.

I think the HD CEO resignation may not be related to “clean up” of the corruption.

The decline of Harley-Davidson’s business was predicted in 2008 in “The Age Curve: How to Profit from the Coming Demographic Storm (June 25, 2008) by Kenneth W. Gronbach

A screenshot from Chapter 22 talks about the expected Harley decline as Boomers age out of the market and Gen X (11% smaller) not maintaining the same pace of sales. This starting happening over the past few years and is only accelerating downward. There were claims about the steel tariff driving the sales down but that was a smoke screen by HD.

Now, I could be wrong (and called a shill or worse) and HD (and its CEO) is tied up in the overall corruption. But HD’s fall in sales was predicted 11 years ago based on the coming demographics and I would say CEO is paying the price for not seeing/planning for it. Not EVERY CEO resignation is going to be part of the PLAN.

I was wondering about Evergreen, Corona Virus, depopluation and sanctuary cities. Do you think that the death in Evergreen Hospital in Washington State, and the state's new state of emergency, was meant for sanctuary areas in Washington state to receive federal funding? We know the Trump admin. has blocked funding to sanctuary cities and congress is pushing to increase spending on Corona Virus. Could this be like CA's wild fires? Natan Eshel heard saying negative campaigning works well with ‘non-Ashkenazi’ voters and that the ‘beast’ Miri Regev is particularly effective at it

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s senior aide Natan Eshel said that “hate is what unites” the right-wing camp led by the Likud party and that negative campaigning works well on “non-Ashkenazi voters” in a leaked recording revealed by Channel 12 on Saturday.

Eshel, a former Netanyahu chief of staff who resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct, continues to work with the premier, leading the previous two coalition negotiations over the past year.

In the newly revealed recording, he can be heard discussing the party’s campaign strategy with an unnamed person whom he is trying to recruit as a political adviser, according to the report. In the tape, Eshel says that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit’s decision to indict Netanyahu in three corruption cases actually helped the premier in his campaign. “He went up by 20 percent” Eshel recalls, though it was unclear what numbers he was referring to.

“If you haven’t stolen, what exactly have you come [into politics] for? We’ve checked this. And to my shock, they [the public] do not understand [this notion] of going into politics to do what’s good for the nation. You go into politics in order to steal and you need to be a man,” Eshel claims, not yet specifying which public he was referring to.

“Now, in this public, I’ll call it… non-Ashkenazi…What gets them worked up? Why do they hate the press?… They hate everything and we’ve succeeded in whipping up that hatred. Hatred is what unites our camp,” Eshel says plainly.

Eshel appeared to be referring to the Likud base of voters from Mizrahi communities, often in the periphery, who have long supported the party.

Last week, former DHS employee Philip Haney told the same committee that more than 800 border control documents were ordered scrubbed or deleted in 2009 to remove terms like "radical Islam," "jihad," or the "Muslim Brotherhood." The Department was invited to participate in that hearing, but declined.

What concerns me, and I believe should concern the Department of Homeland Security, is that because of this effort — scrubbing your law enforcement materials of any acknowledgment of radical Islamic terrorism — when you see the red flags of radical Islamic terrorism, you do not follow up on them effectively," Cruz said. "And we have terrorist attack, after terrorist attack, after terrorist attack that could have been prevented but for this administration's willful blindness."

Johnson said issues like how to label terrorists make for "good political debate," but said it "makes no difference to me in terms of who we need to go after."

Cuba exploits its doctors abroad. It’s human trafficking, not ‘charity’

The U.S. State Department will be issuing its annual Trafficking in Persons Report any day now, and many dedicated human-rights activists in South Florida have been lobbying the government to correctly classify the Cuban medical missions as human trafficking.

I am optimistic that this truth finally will be acknowledged in this important report, which is read by so many lawmakers, think tanks and leaders around the world.

Every year, countries want to know how the United States classifies them on this crucial thermometer. I’m looking forward to congratulating the State Department for finally doing the right thing by stating the obvious: The Castro regime profits every time it sends a doctor, nurse or health professional to serve abroad.

It is anything but an act of mercy. It is yet another profit-making scheme that exploits Cubans and enriches the regime.

For too long, agencies around the world have been treating the evil regime as a benevolent enterprise that is providing free healthcare to the poor. But the regime must be viewed as what it is: a cruel dictatorship that abuses its citizens to maintain power and control.

I admire the courage of the brave doctors who have come forward to expose this racket and have taken the unprecedented step of filing a lawsuit against the PAHO — the Pan American Health Organization.

As the lawsuit states, this agency shamefully has collected more than $75 million since 2013 “by enabling, managing and enforcing illegal human trafficking of Cuban medical professionals in Brazil.”

Cuban doctors were paid only a pittance — 10 percent or less. Yet PAHO paid at least 85 percent to the Cuban regime — and even kept 5 percent for itself.

What a scam.

The Cuban doctors essentially are indentured servants while the regime makes an estimates $8 billion every single year from this exploitation. Yet people are still under the false impression that this is a humanitarian mission of the Castro regime. Far from it.

In fact, more than 50 percent of Cuba’s national budget comes from this forced labor and human trafficking. Medical professionals are threatened with serious economic and personal harm if they don’t go overseas; they are sent abroad while their families stay in Cuba; they aren’t told where they will be sent; their movement while abroad is monitored; and they are paid a pittance of what the host country pays for their services.

In Brazil alone, since 2013, PAHO has been in cahoots with the regime to obtain more than 10,000 Cuban healthcare professionals. PAHO makes a profit by violaing its own constitution, U.S. and international laws, as well as U.N. protocols it is obligated to follow.

Thanks to Miami attorney Sam Dubbin and the doctors who brought the lawsuit against PAHO, this incredible story of exploitation and abuse is now in full view for all to see. Similar to Castro’s educational indoctrination in Cuban schools being falsely viewed as a literacy program even by Bernie Sanders, the leading Democratic candidate for U.S. president, so, too, is this sinister enterprise incorrectly painted as a kind and benevolent act of charity by Cuba.

Ambassador Carlos Trujillo, who so ably represents the United States in the Organization of American States (OAS), held a important event in Washington, D.C., “The Dark Reality Behind the Cuban Medical Mission.” He rightly called this scam modern-day slavery in the Americas.

Trujillo called on the OAS member states to take action against this “intolerable and profoundly unacceptable” injustice.

There was testimony of doctors not getting paid and of having host countries confiscate their passports so they didn’t defect.

Medical teams worked in unsanitary conditions, with members subjected to sexual harassment. Such testimony is difficult make because many of these doctors have families back in Cuba, and they bear the brunt of the regime’s brutality.

It is up to each and every one of us to shed light onto these abuses of forced labor that the regime tries to pass off as acts of charity. Next time someone tells you about what a wonderful program Cuba has in sending doctors abroad, be sure to pull back the curtain and tell them what this farce is really all about: exploitation and human trafficking.

US delays ASEAN meet in Vegas

The US has delayed a regional ASEAN summit scheduled to take place in Las Vegas this month due to fears about the spread of COVID-19, a senior administration official said on Friday. “As the international community works together to defeat the novel coronavirus, the United States, in consultation with ASEAN partners, has made the difficult decision to postpone the ASEAN leaders meeting,” the official said on condition of anonymity.

ASEAN leaders were scheduled to be hosted by US President Donald Trump on March 14.

John Ratcliffe says 'experienced' intelligence officials 'have gotten it wrong' in defense of renewed spy chief bid

Rep. John Ratcliffe said his "different kind of experience" makes him a strong candidate for President Trump's top intelligence official. The Texas Republican, who is being renominated to be the director of national intelligence, took on criticisms he faces as he explained why he is "absolutely" qualified at a time when the United States deals with national security threats such as the spread of the new coronavirus and another potential wave of Russian election interference, saying, "I’ve been handling national security issues as far back as 2005.” "I haven't served in an intelligence agency. I think that bringing a different kind of experience today is really going to be vitally important. You know all of the experience in the world isn't helpful without judgment, and I think what we've seen is that some of our most experienced intelligence officials have gotten it wrong with respect to important issues," Ratcliffe told Catherine Herridge of CBS News.

His critique aligns with complaints by Trump, who has a history of breaking with intelligence assessments by his own agencies, and who has castigated top former officials who investigated his 2016 presidential campaign. Ratcliffe has been a leading voice in demanding accountability over allegations of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses by the Justice Department and the FBI.

Trump initially nominated Ratcliffe to replace Dan Coats as the director last summer, but the congressman withdrew within days after some senators questioned his credentials and he was accused of overstating his professional record regarding the prosecution of Hamas terrorists. “I reconsidered because the president asked me, and I think when the president asks you to do something for your country, you look at that,” Ratcliffe said. “I think I’ll have the support of all Republicans at the end of the day. I’m going to work hard to convince at least some of my Democratic colleagues on the other side of the aisle.”

After Trump announced late Friday that he was renominating Ratcliffe, Democrats quickly fired off fresh complaints. "Replacing one highly partisan operative with another does nothing to keep our country safe. At a time when the Russians are interfering in our elections, we need a nonpartisan leader at the helm of the Intelligence Community who sees the world objectively and speaks truth to power, and unfortunately, neither acting Director Grenell nor Rep. Ratcliffe comes even close to that," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement.
