Well it´s priced like a Cayman for the performance of a Cayman. I guess you could save up for 5 years and the first used ones could happen to be under 20k€.

Also I totally agree with you, the 504 concept is rad as fuck. Us Frenchie even had a poll by Peugeot asking if we'd like or not this guy mass produced, it had quite a support.

Always hoping for the next "eye-opening" sports car that would show the error of their ways to other brands and would usher in an age similar to the japanese 90s, but every time the cars either end up overpriced or are flawed in some way that makes them unpopular.

The Alpine is also a breath of fresh air in terms of sports car design, compared to what we have now. Too many frowny headlights and overcompensating engines and too many quirks and features, meanwhile the Alpine just flexes on its competition with some aesthetic quad lights and a body shape almost akin to the RX-7.

As for the Peugeot, I'd love for them to finally step up their sports car game. The 504 concept looks sleek and light but I'm worried it might not translate to the real product. And it also looks like it may become another 50k+ luxury car or some kind of BMW i8 clone, as is the par of the course for Peugeot, we'll have to see.

Side note: Seeing those 4 racey seats inside the Škoda is a morbid sight.

>Alpine

Design speaking it isn't fresh air. It´s just like the modern Fiat 500 or the Ford T-bird: neo-retro design (this time done alright). The first Alpine A110 was looking very similar to the new one.

It´s fresh air from a marketing competition standpoint: Renault didn't build a nice quick berlinette since the A310, nearly 30 years ago and sports cars in France died since the end of Venturi. So yeah, kinda nice to see some poking around in this domain for a French automaker (which isn't Bugatti).

>Peugeot

>step up their sports car

Bro they ended the production of the 308 gti because of the very low sales. It was a nice 300hp hatchback, quicker and better made than a Golf R or gti and as fast as the Renault Megane RS. So PSA isn't going anywhere close to the sports cars sector anytime soon by now, except if they make Opel/Vauxhall become their sporty branch.

Yeah that Skoda is scary.

More pics for you all

Seems as if the solution to this performance loss would be a good turbo setup.

I'm still not sold on the longevity increase. Even if your engine can theoretically last for a million miles on propane, a minute portion of drivers will actually drive their vehicles for that long.

Should I stick with a soft hardtop Suzuki I have but its going to have a 1.6 sidekick engine, ~95hp? or go buy a right had drive, better body, less mileage original JDM import with 50~ horsepower? I don't get it cause one site says the samurai with the 1.3 normal engine has 60hp while the 1.3 turbo Japanese import has 50hp?

The pros of the "project" I have are listed…

>1.6 sidekick HP, good popular engine, more HP and still good MPG

>Parts are USA and its reliable

>I have all the parts I can take to a mechanic so they can install it

>Car needs to be painted, the body is in okay condition. Allows for removal of the hard-soft top so I can make it open body.

>I'll get to choose the new color I want, OD green or maybe Coyote brown

Cons..

<Will probably cost more with the paint job.

<The body is in okayish condition

<Nothing will be done since it was my dads project but since he hasnt touched it for 10+ years, he clearly wont finish it in the next year.

<Cost more just to get it running and ready.

The pros for the JDM I saw on craigslist…

>The body is in good-great condition

>60k miles on it

>1.3 Turbo so it should be better than a stock and probably gets better mileage

>Already in working condition and can start on the upgrades such as a lift, tires etc.

>JDM right had drive

>Real hard top and looks a lot better than what hardtop removable one I have.

Cons..

<Dont know if the seller still has it but its likely…

<Seller is asking for $5200

<I dont have the cash on hand so the seller might not have it by the end of the year when I could potentially have the money.

<TL;DR> Car carpet otherwise flawless had milkshake spilled on it that sat for 10 days how do I clean it out, get the green spots out and get the nasty smell out?

I just noticed today that the milkshake I thought fell when I left it on top my car like 10 days ago was actually just tucked away laying on its side right on/(in) my front passenger side carpet (not the mat). This bitch sat there for 10 days until I went grocery shopping and realized what happened! I immediately went to cleaning it but alas there are three green spots (and a nasty smell) still left on the carpet. I took really good care of this 1999 Cadillac SeVille STS the interior is otherwise flawless… I've tried using a steamer with bissel fluid mix but it doesn't seem to be coming up all the way. Is there any way I can get these green spots out of my carpet!? Should I try a quick bleach and rub w/ water and then suck it up with the steamer tool? This shit sucks. Not sure if I should be posting this as a separate thread I just really need help. It doesn't help that the carpet is like a cream/white either!

The 99 SeVille is a great car, and most of the repair work it needs can be done without those advanced computers. It's very comfortable and fast, it has a 32 valve v8 northstar engine. If you don't mind some of the more expensive repairs. If you're talking about like a 2018 Cadillac SeVille I have no idea, the "newest" car in my driveway is an 07, not a big fan of new cars especially that gay non-key ignition crap.

After the year 2000 or so, I don't think there have been any cars, particularly daily drivers, that people could genuinely consider as 'classic' once they turn 20 or so. For context, a 20 year old car now includes the likes of the Audi TT and Nissan Skyline R34. And besides, sports cars don't count since they're automatically classics the second they're discontinued.

I would like to be proven wrong. Are there any "everyday" cars made since 2000 that have a 'classic' appeal to them?

c4cf35 No.5473 [Open thread][Last50 Posts]

Doing my plugs and wires soon. I've got pre-gapped Bosch Iridium spark plugs, and the gap on the box is the correct gap for my engine. I'd like to just put them in as-is without messing with the gap, since the electrode is so easy to damage, and because I'm pretty sure I've screwed up a couple iridium plugs before by gapping them. The thing is, 90% of "pre-gapped" plugs I've checked in the past were set at the wrong gap (and were not even consistent in how far off they were).

So which is riskier? Messing with the gap to make sure it's right, or leaving them alone and potentially using the wrong gap?

So i just got myself a bike, a late 80s Minsk 125. It had been standing outside for some time now, under a cover. I heard it had something wrong with the carbuerator, which i belive is because it has no damn airfilter. It has spark however, so the dyno works. The engine turns too. All the cables are rotten to shit, so right now it has no brakes or anything like that.

I plan on getting a fresh set of cables and a new set of everything that is made of rubber on it, besdes the wheels. The wheels are fine, they inflated with no leaks, rolled on the trailer with no problems.

Anyone has any experience with vintage bikes? What should i do first to get it in shape until summer?

The B20A5 in my 89 prelude is very tired. I want to make a little more power but stick with something easy to swap in that won't require heavily modifying my car, and I'd prefer to stay NA. I can't find very much on line about them, would the engine from the gen 4 prelude fit maybe?

Do you live in the north where the roads gets icy every year? FWD handles a lot better on ice, they're probably concerned for your safety. But all you think about is yourself. Kys

I ask cause I'm thinking of getting one second hand and want to know whether I should go for a newer varient or the MK1. I also have no real knowledge on cars.

Nigger, lanes in the air are invisible and it takes quite a lot of training to be able to fly by instrument and TCAS, which is what you need to do if you don't want collisions to happen. VFR is asking for a disaster. Or many small disasters if cars ever were to fly.

Pretty much this. The time for flying cars came and went decades ago, a foot in the door was needed by the mid-50s at the very latest. Nowadays the air infrastructure is too built up and too regulated to allow civilians, even those with the prerequisite licenses.

The only way flying "cars" can ever become reality in any feasible fashion would be forced autopiloting among preset "lanes".

One would also have to somehow skeet around the general safety&maintenance regulations for fixed-wing aircraft if you don't want your flying "car" ownership limited to richfags who could probably afford a private helicopter anyway.
