Doing my plugs and wires soon. I've got pre-gapped Bosch Iridium spark plugs, and the gap on the box is the correct gap for my engine. I'd like to just put them in as-is without messing with the gap, since the electrode is so easy to damage, and because I'm pretty sure I've screwed up a couple iridium plugs before by gapping them. The thing is, 90% of "pre-gapped" plugs I've checked in the past were set at the wrong gap (and were not even consistent in how far off they were).
So which is riskier? Messing with the gap to make sure it's right, or leaving them alone and potentially using the wrong gap?

I know THAT much. It almost looks like just a shitty chinesusm aftermarket axel back OEM replacement. but it has like a fraternal twin of a 90's civic tailpipe in it too.
Actually that may be all it is. Just a shitty OEM replacement, with an extra do nothing pipe that's meant to "look cool". Like it's fucking NFS underground.

You mean a vinyl wrap? Just hit up a place in your local area and they should be able to design something for you. Most sticker places should be able to do larger scale semi vehicle wraps, although they don't come cheap.

Is it possible to have a engine to run "normal" like DD but if you flip a "switch" any time on or off you activate like way much more HP and have the full engine running in beast mode?

Yup. Is called manually controllable VTEC and a turbo glued in there somewhere.
Gotta make one hell of a strong head gasket first, if you want to jump up the compression ladder, which is the only actualy way to get more power out of the same engine.

No. Most ECUs can ge made to output slightly more power (at the expense of engine lifetime), it's only a programming problem to make VTEC toggleable by hand, and turbos already are stoppable/startable by computer. Just somehow figure out a way to give the computer brain damage and remap those functions to manual switches.

If you have a turbo car, you can get a gadget called a boost controller that lets you control how soon or late the wastegate opens and lets the exhaust bypass the turbo. They come in a few flavors:
>manual
Sometimes called a bleed valve. Poorfag version. Essentially is a constant boost pressure leak between the turbo and the wastegate, causing it to open later.
>manual-electric
The above, except has two settings that you toggle betwren with an electric switch.
>electronic
Kind of like the above, except it's now an electronically controlled solenoid valve. Depending on the model, can do cool shit like hold the wastegate shut until target boost is reached so the turbo spools faster, protect against overboost, reduce boost in lower gears for launching, and let you switch between several profiles.

>Generally speaking, you mounted a FWD engine transverse because it saves space, but as a result, this means there is going to be an intermediate shaft on one of the axles.
>As a result, the torque being applied to one side is going to be greater than the other, resulting in torque steer.
>Usually when they mount of a FWD cars engine longitudinally it's because they want the transmission to be mounted more centrally, to make the torque steer less prevalent.
Torque steer is when the steering joints different from the wheel center thus when one wheel loses traction the other will tug more and turn around the joint. Like a lever actuated by tire grip.
Driveshaft length and mass do play a role but it's not the reason for torque steer.

Would an 84 Hurst Olds be a good buy for $8k? I understand the "collectible" factor of the car, being something like 3500 of them made, and I do have a fondness for G-body "muscle" cars…but there are downsides. The stock Olds 307 only makes about 140bhp, which is 60 less than my 2007 fwd VW shitbox. How logical is it to try and upgrade the performance of the stock 307? Is it smarter to just swap engines, and if so, what Olds engines would fit with minimal hassle?

So i just got myself a bike, a late 80s Minsk 125. It had been standing outside for some time now, under a cover. I heard it had something wrong with the carbuerator, which i belive is because it has no damn airfilter. It has spark however, so the dyno works. The engine turns too. All the cables are rotten to shit, so right now it has no brakes or anything like that.
I plan on getting a fresh set of cables and a new set of everything that is made of rubber on it, besdes the wheels. The wheels are fine, they inflated with no leaks, rolled on the trailer with no problems.
Anyone has any experience with vintage bikes? What should i do first to get it in shape until summer?

The B20A5 in my 89 prelude is very tired. I want to make a little more power but stick with something easy to swap in that won't require heavily modifying my car, and I'd prefer to stay NA. I can't find very much on line about them, would the engine from the gen 4 prelude fit maybe?
