Doing my plugs and wires soon. I've got pre-gapped Bosch Iridium spark plugs, and the gap on the box is the correct gap for my engine. I'd like to just put them in as-is without messing with the gap, since the electrode is so easy to damage, and because I'm pretty sure I've screwed up a couple iridium plugs before by gapping them. The thing is, 90% of "pre-gapped" plugs I've checked in the past were set at the wrong gap (and were not even consistent in how far off they were).
So which is riskier? Messing with the gap to make sure it's right, or leaving them alone and potentially using the wrong gap?

Always check the gaps before installing. If they are not the right gap then adjust them. If you youre a pussy and dont want to do them takae them back to crapzone and get an exchange.
Also if the gap is wrong you could eaily pre-detonate or post detonate

Checked them, they were all varying degrees of wrong. Set them all right (very carefully), and will install tomorrow morning.
If these ones don't last either, I may just switch to copper. They're quick and easy enough to replace that I won't really mind the shorter life span. Plus I can go ahead and order a lifetime supply on the cheap.

I'm on a tight budget for the foreseeable future and after earning money through a job I'm doing on the side for a friend, I'll have around $650-675 saved up. I've never owned a "fun" vehicle before but I'm interested in getting a used motorcycle. Is it worth it to wait around till a good ~$600 beginner-friendly bike shows up on craigslist, or am I better off going for my second choice and just investing in something like a driving wheel for muh racing vidya? Is it even feasible for a roadbike that cheap to even run "properly"? I'm fine with minor problems so long as they're easy/cheap enough to fix (surface rust, replacing lights, fixing small oil leaks, etc.)
and before someone asks me why I don't just get a foxbody, assuming you can even get one that isn't a moneypit for that cheap, I don't really have the space to store another car atm

What kind of cars are worth looking at that make good head turners while not being retarded ridiculous? I sortof want a Mercedes but at the same time I don't care for the new ones. At the same time I want something with a little kick in the hood that I can use as a commuter or get loud on the weekends.
It's not an immediate buy, probably will be two years before I get said car. Just trying to figure out what I should start looking at.
I liked the Mercedes Benz SLS, but not for that pricetag.

On an additional sidenote:
I'm also looking for a car (not truck, car) that can be used as a commuter car but can be used to haul trailers when needed. Anything around $25k or lower ideally. I know it sounds like another strange question, but it's difficult finding a car that can tow.

I don't know about bikes, but please don't waste car money on vidya. You will thank yourself later.
Also, I'm a firm believer in having at least several hundred dollars saved in addition to the cost of the vehicle for short-term maintenance and repair. Unless you can get a bike for almost free, I would hold off.

OP, I've gapped irridium plugs no problem. If they didn't want them to be gapped, then they simply just had to have the right gap in the box.
With that being said, I'd say Irridium? unless it's an application that calls for that specifically, good ol' NGK copper cores work best in most engines. On more than a few occasions in the past have I tried to be "fancy" with plugs, only for everything to shit the bed and having to switch back to "plain" NGK G Powers

yes.
Cost i would say is the biggest factor.
research your car, see if the ECU can take forced induction, most cant without chipping or reprogramming (or total replacement)
also work out the load % of your injectors with how much boost youre going to run, so long as you stay below 90% i wouldnt bother with upgrading.
what HP are you aiming for with the build?
what engine do you have?
have you looked into engine swaps?

I'm aware of the cost, but doing it in two stages would allow me to save up some money between the fuel stage and the forced induction stage.

I sure have. But it feels a little like cheating somehow. Plus, while I can find space to turbo convert I'd be hard pressed to find a place to engine swap. Meaning I'd have to get a shop to do it, meaning the cost would end up about the same.

The proper terms you are looking for is Transverse (Front and back of the engine are facing the sides of the car) and Longitudinally mounted front and back to front and back.
And there are a few longitudinally mounted FWD drive cars(That I know and there is probably more). The Second Generation Acura Legend, and the Oldsmobile Toronado.
Generally speaking, you mounted a FWD engine transverse because it saves space, but as a result, this means there is going to be an intermediate shaft on one of the axles.
As a result, the torque being applied to one side is going to be greater than the other, resulting in torque steer.
Usually when they mount of a FWD cars engine longitudinally it's because they want the transmission to be mounted more centrally, to make the torque steer less prevalent.

Yeah.
Completely forgot about Subarus. They have always been the exception, same with Bugs and Porsches(Which could have easily made a FWD car). Just Boxers and flat engines in general.
Subaru will tell you that they use a Boxer for Balance. (Second picture) but I don't buy it. For front to rear balance, the engine should be placed over the front axle, like the Legend(>>7266), most FF cars and most FR cars.
I personally feel the only reason why Subaru's boxer engine is even reputable is because of their rally heritage, which they specifically designed their cars for, which is probably why the axles sit behind the engine.
Low Traction environments(Between the road surface and ground) is the only place where putting more weight on the front wheels will benefit from having more weight thrown on them, instead of less, hence axle placement.(Using the engine as a lever arm acting on the wheels)

I agree.
I'd be interested in Front Wheel drive, engine in front of axles. Front wheel drive, engine on axles. Mid engine, on axles, and in front, Rear engine. And all of these in transverse(Both ways) and Longitudinally set up ways.
Tbh, I don't think a lot of these would matter that much. Like eventually the chassis as a whole starts to matter. If you used the same chassis for all of these, it would show what we already know.
Car length, weight, balance etc, could easily be used to counteract inherent problems in drive train design.

97 Expedition here again. Heres a bigger question.
So yesterday I took my truck in brakes plus to get an alignment done. they told me it couldn't be done without $1500 worth of parts and labor for repairs.
Said I needed to replace front L & R upper ball joints, which are part of the upper control arms, front L & R lower ball joints, front sway bar bushings.
I don't think they even really checked out the rear.
fuck. OK so after the sticker shock I thanked him and came home to internet and my haynes manual, this shit doesn't look that bad. youtube vid also mentioned new sway bar end links so i priced a couple of them.
Parts:
The guy spoke highly of MOOG, so that's what I have been pricing out so far
front L & R upper control arms $47 ea
front L & R lower ball joints $24 ea
front sway bar bushings $11 set
stabilizer bar link $6 ea
Tools:
ball joint service kit $105
front end puller kit $60
What grease do I put in the lower ball joints?
Am I missing any other parts i should check out or just change out during this job or specialty tools for this job?

If your worried about the battery get a trickle charger at a local hardware/automitve store for 30bucks and plug that bitch in.
As for fuel keep it below the quarter tank line and add a GASOLINE fuel stabilizer.

A few months ago I went ATV riding through the woods with my friend for the first time and had a blast. Is riding dirt bikes the most cost effective /o/-related hobby? Looking to get something fun to use every other weekend that wont cost me a couple thousand dollars, wont take up half the garage, and wont require me to spend almost as much as the bike on safety gear. How viable would it be to buy something like a TTR90 off of craigslist for a few hundred dollars and fix up any minor problems, plus a helmet, gloves, boots and goggles? If I'm calculating this right then I could get all this and spend a little under $600 total, assuming I shop around for good deals online, and spend not that much additional money to camp weekends at my semi-local OHV park. What is the maintenance like for pure dirt bikes, both in terms of time/effort and cost? Does this sound like a solid plan or am I better off waiting a couple years for something road-legal, crying in my un-moddable shitbox the whole time?

Yea 600 total for a bike that needs work and used smelly helmet shit and gloves.
Best if you find a decent bike around 1-2k(winter means low prices on used outdoor goods as guys get layed off for the winter and need the cash) and get a helmet. What part of a car is legally the car? Like the lower receiver on an AR15 is legally the firearm. What do you have to transplant from car A to car B to legally make it car A? What can you transplant from car X to car Y before Y legally becomes X? When B turns into A, what happens to the remainder of old A?

The car is legally identified by the chassis vin which is what you register it by.
If you were the transplant an engine which carries its own vin, and in some states if not all require records to be kept on all vin codes on the vehicle, the cars chassis vin does not change.
But many cars carry vin plates in diffrent parts of the vehicle. So if you were to lets say backhalf a car the car keeps the vin on the dash I believe.
I dont know ask your local vin check station.

IIRC most touring cars are RWD. Plus most sports cars. Miata, S2000, Corvette, Silvia, Fairlady, Supra, RX7, AE86, 911, most BMW M cars, most Mercedes AMG cars… One could go on.
RWD is fine and even preferred for the track. Really the only time a racing team will do an AWD conversion is in the case of rally, like I mentioned earlier.
You can spend magnitudes less on suspension and tire upgrades and likely get more performance gains than an AWD conversion.

Yes, but those cars are actually designed to be AWD from the get-go and thus have the proper weight distribution to make it launch better. All you'll end up doing with your hackneyed conversion is fuck up the weight distrobution and make your car SLOWER on the track. The only reason the Gymkhana guys get away with it is because they actually know what they're doing and neither the AWD s'tang nor the AWD RX-7 that particular team made were designed to be dominant on the track anyways.

Didn't think of this. In case it isn't clear, the reason it would mess up the weight distribution is that an AWD system involves some extra differentials and other stuff and it's heavy.
You would also probably end up with some pretty bad understeer if all you did was convert RWD to AWD, since the suspension and ECU program aren't designed to have the front two wheels powered.
Basically you would completely fuck up the driving experience if all you did was convert it to AWD, unless you spent an absurd amount of money reworking most of the rest of the car (like Gymkhana did).

Small cars like that can tow, but only around 500 lbs (or less). CX-3 might take a teeny bit more but all of those subcompact crossovers are useless shit anyway. The smallest thing that could tow an actual utility trailer and maintain daily practicality (to a point) is a Jeep Cherokee, or one of those weird new 5-door Wranglers. I don't know exactly what other brands have that is comparable but I think most other tow-capable vehicles are going to be bigger. I have heard of standard crossovers (RAV4, CR-V, Forester, etc) towing, but with those 4-cylinder engines I doubt they could tow much.
>>11927
>Would you guys fix it to save cash or get a new(used) car? It has 155.000 miles and is in OK condition. Has rust, transmission a bit rough.
It really depends on how much it would cost to fix it and whether you like the car enough to maintain it at this point in its life. I'm used to cars going 200-300k miles before dying and needing major repairs that cost major cash. I don't know how reliable the last Escort is but I haven't heard any outrageous horror stories about them so I would guess that with proper care they would go at least 200k. So looking at it economically, it may not make much sense to repair it if you have to spend $4-5k or more, because you could get a decent Japanese shitbox for that much.
Again, it really depends on whether you like the car enough to fix it, regardless of how much it would cost or what anyone else thinks of the car.
For example, my Saab will probably cost at least $4k to fix all the problems, and for that price I could probably get something with fewer problems and cheaper maintenance, but I love the car so it doesn't matter. It also helps that it only has 124k miles on it (PO seems to have beat the shit out of it) and these things are known to go 200-300k with proper maintenance, so after I've fixed it up I can enjoy it for a long while. Granted, an Escort isn't as special as a Saab, but you should get the idea.
>>11928
>you're not money conscious. You're just a tightwad.
If he has a choice between spending $1-2k to keep his current shitbox running for another 50k miles or more and spending $6-7k on a new car, the first option is obviously more economical. I obviously don't know how much it would cost to fix whatever problems the Escort has.
Maybe he's saving for a house or something and doesn't want to buy a new car?
>>11929
The Escort falls into the category of "just a car" in my book. Nothing wrong with it. The ZX2 is kinda silly though.

Depends on if you take it to a mechanic or DIY. If you do it yourself, it'll be pretty economical to replace the cooler yourself, but otherwise the mechanic costs are gonna rack up like nothing else. if it's an automatic then I say get rid of it, a bad automatic transmission can fuck up other parts of the car before it fucks itself up, too

I've searched but I come across anecdotal evidence as to why X filter is better and a lot of sites recommending filters without giving in depth thought. I can't find data and hard facts, I don't want performance oriented filter that lets dirt through, I want a clean engine. No prob. The Mann engine filter for your GTI advertises "low flow resistance" which I interpret to mean "doesn't filter well". I'd go for the Wix or the Fram, personally. The Wix has a lot of pleats, and Fram tends to use a sort of softer filter media that filters more with less pleats.

I've seen a few posts on halfchan /o/ this place isn't liveley enough to stay away from fram air filters wtihout explanation, I'm gonna have to do some heavy research and hope I can find data to back up peoples claims. As for the Mann, I'll have to look it up, because performance filters leave a gap allowing more airflow and increased power although it lets dirt pass. I don't know too much about Wix, but I'll look it up.
I'm new to all this and I want to learn, I don't want to have to rely on a mechanic for shit. If I had money, I'd buy an older car and build an engine from scratch and learn as I go. One more question, I've noticed my RPM gauge sits just under 1000 when the car is sitting, is that normal or shouldn't it be at 0 RPM? I was just reading about if the RPM gauge fluctuates there's something wrong with the engine but can't find a concrete answer on RPMS sitting under 1000. Thanks.

Every engine idles at around 500-1000 rpm. If it it lower, it's either dead, stalled, or your measurement thing is broken beyond sensible.

Also, what >>12047 said is right, idle is 0.5k - 1k RPM. It'll fluctuate if you're using a lot of electronics or you have the A/C fans cranked up, since it's pulling more power from the alternator. They were originally created as military vehicles - see the original Land Rover and Jeep. I don't know if the Land Cruiser was developed for the military or not but it is also among iconic vintage SUVs. These three companies also happen to have been the main three competitors (Mercedes has been there as well but I don't think they are as iconic) in the SUV market for basically as long as the idea has existed, afaik. (I also don't think they were called SUVs until recently but I'm not sure)
Anyways. From their inception to the mid-90s or so, this type of vehicle was mostly used for their intended purpose - driving on non-tarmac surfaces and hauling stuff and people (pickups couldn't do both). I don't know what phenomenon caused the mass flocking of normies to these things, but I think it happened in the late 90s/early 00s. Most of them have turned into lumbering, road-going slushboxes because that's what people wanted for some reason. I think the hype has died down a bit though - the current meme seems to be crew cab, short bed pickups (at least in Oregon).

I heard they became popular after the 90's Grand Cherokee that told the World: be prepared if anything happens. The USA started making SUVs everywhere because of that philosophy. The trend followed in Europe and got europeanized, when Nissan created the "crossover" concept with the first Qashquai, followed by all Euro and Nip manufacturers and now US.
The Juke or now the CH-R are the extreme end of that philosophy: if it looks it can do anything and is cheap, people will buy it.

Any engine swap would be expensive because you have to buy a new engine or a whole new car (yes you can get one that's totaled with a working engine for less than a working car), and on top of a new car to begin with I'm guessing you couldn't do that for 1500GBP - not to mention the hassle involved. To do it yourself you would obviously need an engine crane (not something most people have lying around), and labor costs would be yuge to have a shop do it - unless for some reason labor costs are dirt cheap in the UK compared to the US.
Costs aside, I don't know why you would go through the hassle of swapping a shitty engine for a shittier, slightly more powerful engine in a fucking Vauxhall of all things.

How do I clean my brakes when they're blocked from the hubcap or whatever it's called? I'm so new at this I don't even know what it's called, those aren't rims.
Also today noticed my car makes a thud noise when braking, could it be brake dust causing it? I haven't washed my car in forever, I'm incredibly lazy to buy the proper cleaning products and brushes, almost want to bring it somewhere and get it detailed.

Take them apart piece by piece. Remove the tyre and everything else you need.
Thud sound… Well it you do not have ABS that could be the sound of your wheels locking up. Does it make the thud when releasing the brake or pushing it?

ABS kicks in when the wheels lock up, no matter how hard you press the brakes. If your brake pads are too huge or brake disc too thick they would work even while pressing it lightly.
Maybe one wheel has borked brakes in some way and ABS tries to counteract it?

I want my next car to be a RWD sports car. For a long time I was more a wrx fan, but I liked the old RS that I never see anymore. I like the BRZ, but for the money I much rather buy an older car with the same ( if not more) power. I keep cars for life.
I really like the MX5 NA and sorta like the NBs. They go for $2k-10k here, but I'd never pay more than 6k unless it was near mint.
I've been eyeing the S2000s more. They have more power and if you ask me aged very well when you look at a lot of cars from the same time. The thing is I see them go for $13k-21k here. I'd never go over 16k for one.
I guess my question is does the extra $5k-10k make it worth it? I do like both cars a lot.

you said "sports car". Then get the S2000. The miata isn't a sports car, it's just a happy convertible.

I would probably go for the Miata because they are easier to work on afaik. If you look at Mighty Car Mods' S2000 build videos, there are a lot of weird things on that car.
As for whether you should go NA or NB, it depends on what you are looking for. The NA had basically no power anything (windows, steering, etc) so it could be considered a purer experience. The NB has more power options, more electronics (loses points in my book) but a little more power, as well as the benefit of being a second generation car. I've heard it feels more refined.
S2000 is more expensive because
>it was more expensive new and has held it's value well
>Honda didn't make as many as Mazda made Miatas
>They aren't as old and generally have lower miles than Miatas
>less depreciation due to being newer
If you can, I would test drive both and see which you like more.
>>12523 is right to a point. It depends on how many mods you want to/are willing to do. Chris Harris thinks the Miata is a good roadster, not a good sports car. The S2000 is probably a bit sportier if only for it's increased power. Again, I would try to test drive both and see which you like more.

I like the NAs more. I just like the s2000 a lot. I've been told both here and offline that the MX5 is a really easy car to learn stick on . No idea how easy or hard the Honda is to learn.

It doesn't necessarily take more knowhow, but there are some weird/annoying things. Granted, you are less likely to run into them if you don't do a lot of mods. Embed related if you want to sit through 20 minutes. Miatas can be fixed with swear words, though.
>learning manual
The S2000 engine has basically no torque so you shouldn't have too much trouble in that regard. I've never driven one so I can't speak for how the controls feel. This should be obvious but it would be wise to learn how to drive it before you ask for a test drive.
Something else I didn't think of earlier is that because the S2000 is newer it will also have more electronics, so it will likely be a bit harder to work with than an NA Miata (older and it was very basic mechanics for its time afaik). The fact that MCM can work on it, seemingly without much electronic trouble, means it's probably not that hard.
Basically you are likely to be at least slightly more annoyed by working on the S2000 than you will working on the Miata. Engineering Explained has an S2000 as well and has done a few videos about it if you want to check those out.

When I clean my car I usually take a good 30-40 minutes just doing the wheels and brakes by hand, it's worth the end result. I was just hoping that there was some sneaky method of combating how much there was.

I don't know of any way to reduce it. Just today I cleaned off quite a bit of brake dust with "wheel and tire cleaner" and a microfiber towel. It came right off. You can probably use dish soap and water just as effectively, unless there is wax on the wheel paint, in which case you don't want to use dish soap on it because it will eat away the wax.

Today i found a abandoned Moskvich in my dad's back yard. He said that it had a full engine rebuild right before it was left there. I only have to find a carbuerator, which he has thrown somewhere in the attic. I checked the electronics, and all seems to be fine (plugged in a new battery). Will post pics soon, was too excited to make any.

If you replaced the seat with a paper cutout of a seat, maybe. You could always find one and test drive it. Otherwise, if you did up a fox body it would probably be pretty fun. Stock you could at least do burnouts, and with some suspension upgrades you could have more fun going straight in corners rather than sideways.

I intend on repurposing an old portable computer as a car diagnostic thingy. Will buying the necessary plugs and the software (i could likely pirate it, but i do not want to hook up bootleg software to any car) suffice? Some manuals would be nice too, but lurking through forums could teach me a thing or two.
I refused to pay 50 euros to have the codes checked and maybe deleted. The connectors can be found for ~30 euros, and software can't be more than 20-40. Also i know i will need to work on that car for an extended period of time, resetting the computer multiple times

OBD1 is manufacturer-specific and not universal like OBD2 is. Even if you could build a cable, it's unlikely the software is even available. If it's having problems and leaving the battery unhooked for a while doesn't solve it, you might have to suck it up and pay the eurobucks.

Sage for double post, but I forgot to mention that most if not all OBD1 cars can have their codes checked by jumping certain pins in the connector, which will cause the CEL to blink a certain number of times to indicate codes. Check your manual for sure though.

SUV owner here. Not just any SUV either, one of the huge fuckers you've probably screamed at while being stuck behind it on the open road.
I got it for quite a few reasons: I travel a fuckton, and covered storage space is critical, and it has it in spades. i could put 30 murdered families in the back, and still have enough room to load up enough 4x8 panels to put up half a home. I just used it today to haul 300' of 2 and 3" 10' pvc pipe. The second reason is that it tows more than most modern pickups. 8k with only minor complaints uphill. This was another huge reason as I have tons of trailers that I move around. The next reason was price. Pickups are highly sought after because they have a manly aura to them, but SUV tend to be on the lower scale while having all the same components. It was also hard to find a full bed pickup, which would mean having to drop the tailgate and use tons of lashings to load boards and planks. Full size beds also mean having to upgrade to the higher trims, which means mega cabs, which means 30' of fucking vehicle. Most SUVs come with awd standard as well, whereas trucks it's another upgrade.
Just thought I'd share my experiences. It's not my favorite vehicle, but it sure does everything i needed it to do, and then some.>>12163 I used to have a grand cherokee limited that I used to use to tow a 7000lb camper trailer with. thing was a beast, it wasn't even funny how much up and go it had while towing. Just a little too small to be comfortably towing that much weight. It'd get squirrely if the winds picked up, and it was pretty used by the time I got it.

Most SUVs are driving memes or as i call them, carpet offroaders. Nissan Juke is a joke on 4 wheels, Kia Sportage too.
Any SUV marketed for city driving can't be serious.
Some are allright, like Opel/Vauxhall/Whatever Frontera, Volvo XC series, Audi Q series and early generations Honda CR-Vs/HR-Vs.
Proper offroaders tend to get used in daily driving too, but that can't hurt them. Like Toyota Land Cruisers, Mercedes G class, or most things Jeep produces.
Depends on your needs. If you need a family car for asphalt, get a family car for asphalt. Don't clutter the already full roads with fuckhueg SUVs.

You mean a vinyl wrap? Just hit up a place in your local area and they should be able to design something for you. Most sticker places should be able to do larger scale semi vehicle wraps, although they don't come cheap.

I do, but they are not anime at all. Hence my confusion. If you're based in the US (which I assume you are) I would recommend Team Wicked or Soraya Decals. If you have social media, look for Japanese Sticker Collective.

Is it possible to have a engine to run "normal" like DD but if you flip a "switch" any time on or off you activate like way much more HP and have the full engine running in beast mode?

Yup. Is called manually controllable VTEC and a turbo glued in there somewhere.
Gotta make one hell of a strong head gasket first, if you want to jump up the compression ladder, which is the only actualy way to get more power out of the same engine.

Can it be added to all cars? Or just ones with turbo's?

No. Most ECUs can ge made to output slightly more power (at the expense of engine lifetime), it's only a programming problem to make VTEC toggleable by hand, and turbos already are stoppable/startable by computer. Just somehow figure out a way to give the computer brain damage and remap those functions to manual switches.

If you have a turbo car, you can get a gadget called a boost controller that lets you control how soon or late the wastegate opens and lets the exhaust bypass the turbo. They come in a few flavors:
>manual
Sometimes called a bleed valve. Poorfag version. Essentially is a constant boost pressure leak between the turbo and the wastegate, causing it to open later.
>manual-electric
The above, except has two settings that you toggle betwren with an electric switch.
>electronic
Kind of like the above, except it's now an electronically controlled solenoid valve. Depending on the model, can do cool shit like hold the wastegate shut until target boost is reached so the turbo spools faster, protect against overboost, reduce boost in lower gears for launching, and let you switch between several profiles.

Torque steer is when the steering joints different from the wheel center thus when one wheel loses traction the other will tug more and turn around the joint. Like a lever actuated by tire grip.
Driveshaft length and mass do play a role but it's not the reason for torque steer.

Would an 84 Hurst Olds be a good buy for $8k? I understand the "collectible" factor of the car, being something like 3500 of them made, and I do have a fondness for G-body "muscle" cars…but there are downsides. The stock Olds 307 only makes about 140bhp, which is 60 less than my 2007 fwd VW shitbox. How logical is it to try and upgrade the performance of the stock 307? Is it smarter to just swap engines, and if so, what Olds engines would fit with minimal hassle?

So i just got myself a bike, a late 80s Minsk 125. It had been standing outside for some time now, under a cover. I heard it had something wrong with the carbuerator, which i belive is because it has no damn airfilter. It has spark however, so the dyno works. The engine turns too. All the cables are rotten to shit, so right now it has no brakes or anything like that.
I plan on getting a fresh set of cables and a new set of everything that is made of rubber on it, besdes the wheels. The wheels are fine, they inflated with no leaks, rolled on the trailer with no problems.
Anyone has any experience with vintage bikes? What should i do first to get it in shape until summer?

The B20A5 in my 89 prelude is very tired. I want to make a little more power but stick with something easy to swap in that won't require heavily modifying my car, and I'd prefer to stay NA. I can't find very much on line about them, would the engine from the gen 4 prelude fit maybe?
