judge is probably right that Trump’s order is illegal under the current framework of US law.
Basically, the constitutional guarantees of “free association” were destroyed by a series of laws that required “civil rights” equalities for blacks and then for women. Then the gays got those rights. Then the trannies.
In order to actually do federal bans on trannies getting access to women’s federal facilities, you would need to overturn the entire “civil rights” infrastructure, or you would need to pass a law in Congress saying that there are only two genders and therefore “trans” people do not exist and cannot be protected by civil rights legislation.
Of course, the entire framework of US law as it stands right now is basically creative writing, so there is probably some weasel way to ban trannies from US women’s prisons without an act of Congress. I’m not an expert in this field.

Words can't express how disgusted I am with Trump supporters who defend their president stomping out speech rights for Israel after spending years wailing about the loss of free speech in America. It's beyond mere political differences. I don't respect them as people.
Note: I’m not doing the news anymore, so I am assuming you know what is going on. But I’ll give a brief update, just in case. The Trump Administration has recently begun taking actions to crack down on criticism of the Jews, at least as aggressively, if not more so, than what the Biden Administration did to crack down on criticism of vaccines and trannies. Perhaps the best aspect of this, which I didn’t even think was real when I heard it, was that RFK has declared “antisemitism” a health emergency. Marco Rubio is also deporting people for criticizing Jews. They’re also of course continuing and escalating the attack on universities that allow pro-Palestinian speech on campus.
Caitlin Johnstone, an “old leftish” blogger (she does support trannies and mass immigration, so she’s not exactly a ye olde leftist) who has a semi-popular Twitter account, has a semi-viral post up about how conservatives claimed about censorship for years and now all of a sudden support the Trump Administration’s egregious crackdown on “antisemitic speech.”
Everything she says in the post is just obvious. I’ve become exhausted by people saying obvious things while being incapable of recognizing obvious facts about human nature, instead exalting a mythical vision of the ideal man that has never existed and cannot exist.
In response to conservatives supporting all these new laws and initiatives against criticism of the Jews, she writes:

A former employee has sued Kanye West for allegedly firing her after insulting her looks and texting her ‘Hail Hitler’.
West, who now goes by Ye, recently deactivated his X account after launching into three days of horrific rants in which he said he was a ‘Nazi’.
This came as the rapper’s website was taken offline after he deleted everything on it other than a single $20 T-shirt that featured a swastika symbol.
The employee, only identified as Jane Doe, has now filed a lawsuit against West over his antisemitism, according to Variety.
After being hired as a marketing strategist in December 2023, the woman, who is Jewish, was subjected to antisemitic language and fired twice.
The suit claims that West apologised in Hebrew for his comments but weeks later his behaviour continued to spiral.
When she approached him about denouncing any ties to Nazism ahead of his album launch, via another employee, he allegedly responded over text ‘I Am A Nazi’.
According to the lawsuit, Doe was fired in March but was then rehired quickly at double her salary.
In June, he then reportedly text her and others: ‘What the F**k Is Everybody Here Getting Paid?’
After this, the lawsuit claims he launched into a rant over text, berating her repeatedly, comparing himself to Hitler, and praising the dictator.
West is accused of then continuing to attack her, calling her ugly, stupid, and a ‘b*h’, texting her saying: ‘Come destroy me b*h.’
Doe alleges she was then fired for a second time the following day, claiming gender and religious discrimination and wrongful termination.
This whole “we have to protect brave women in the court system” thing has gotten out of hand.
It used to be argued that not making them give their names was a special privilege after being raped, because like, if they use their real name, it will repeat the rape in their mind or whatever.

“The clear gaps in Steam’s moderation of this content inflict harm by exposing untold users to hate and harassment, enabling potential radicalization and normalizing hate and extremism in the gaming community,” the ADL wrote. “Understanding the extent of extremist and hateful content on the platform is key to fighting the proliferation of hate online.”
Pepe the Frog and swastikas are the most common extremist symbols found on Steam, according to the report, respectively representing 54.6% and 9.1% of detected symbols. The ADL also found “tens of thousands of pieces of terrorism-related content on Steam Community,” including more than 15,000 public accounts with profile pictures featuring the flags or logos of ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas, and others. Hundreds of accounts were found using photos of white supremacist mass murderers Brenton Tarrant and Anders Breivik as their avatar images.

An Ohio city that was racked with chaos and threats last year related to an influx of Haitian immigrants filed a lawsuit on Thursday against a neo-Nazi group that it alleges was at the heart of the onslaught.

A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s ability to use a sweeping wartime authority to quickly deport some migrants whom the US has accused of being affiliated with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
The judge also ordered any planes in the air carrying some of those migrants to turn back to the US.
Earlier Saturday, the Trump administration invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which gives the president tremendous authority to target and remove undocumented immigrants, to speed up the deportations of migrants. The law is designed to be invoked if the US is at war with another country, or a foreign nation has invaded the US or threatened to do so.
US District Judge James Boasberg had blocked the administration from deporting five individuals who challenged President Donald Trump’s use of the act. Following a hastily scheduled hearing hours later, Boasberg broadened his temporary block on the administration, granting a request from the plaintiffs’ lawyers to certify a provisional class that covers all noncitizens in US custody who would be subject to Trump’s proclamation.
Boasberg, who serves as the chief judge of the federal trial-level court in Washington, DC, agreed that those individuals’ deportations should also be temporarily blocked while the legal challenge proceeds.

Walgreens is closing approximately 1,200 stores across the United States as the pharmacy chain struggles with slumping consumer spending.
The closures will occur within the next three years, starting with 500 stores being shuttered in fiscal year 2025, Walgreens announced Tuesday in an earnings report. The company had confirmed plans in June to close unprofitable stores but had not disclosed how many locations would be affected.
The move is part of a multi-year cost-cutting program under CEO Tim Wentworth, who took on the job last year. In a statement, Wentworth reiterated the company’s commitment to focusing on improving its core business: retail pharmacy.
“This turnaround will take time, but we are confident it will yield significant financial and consumer benefits over the long term,” Wentworth said in the statement.
While it’s not immediately clear which 1,200 stores Walgreens is planning on closing, the move would impact about 13% of the more than 8,700 stores that were open in the United States as of Aug. 31 last year.

The federal government says it’s ramping up immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump’s crackdown, but the extent of activity in the Denver area has been unclear — with little arrest data available yet.
A lack of transparency by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement so far is making it difficult to determine the size and scope of activities taking place locally, including no official confirmation yet of the number of arrests in a series of raids in early February that drew wide attention. The promoted arrests largely have been of people with criminal pasts. On the social platform X, ICE’s Denver field office, which covers Colorado and Wyoming, has cited criminal accusations against people arrested in February and March that include sexual assault on a child, obstruction, gun and drug smuggling, and trespassing. The people were from Guatemala, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Honduras.

Eight Israeli soldiers have been killed and a number of others wounded in three exchanges with Hezbollah in heavy fighting inside Lebanon.

A Belle Plaine man stands charged with federal hate crimes on allegations he called a Black man a racial slur before throwing a knockout punch that left his victim going in and out of consciousness from one day to the next.
Justin A. Kudla, 35, was charged last week in connection with the attack outside a Belle Plaine bar in the early morning hours of Feb. 3, 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Kudla appeared in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis on Monday and has another hearing scheduled for Friday after being charged with one count of interference with federally protected activities and one count of committing a hate crime. Messages were left Tuesday with Kudla’s attorney seeking a reply to the charges.
Kudla, who is white, was charged earlier in Scott County District Court with first-degree assault in connection with the incident outside a bar on Meridian Street. He’s scheduled to go on trial in that case on Jan. 21.
The victim is identified in an online fundraiser as 37-year-old Benjamin Morelock of Belle Plaine.
State court records show Kudla’s criminal history includes two convictions each for terroristic threats and stalking, and one conviction each for a felony-level violation of a no-contact order and trespassing.
According to the Scott County charges:
A woman who works at Huck’s Shipwreck Saloon said she heard Kudla call Morelock a racial epithet. Kudla then punched Morelock in the face. He fell to the ground and was unconscious for about 20 minutes.
Morelock was helped to his home nearby.
Two days later, the Huck’s employee went to Morelock’s home and found him in bed and going in and out of consciousness. She took him to a nearby hospital before he was transferred to Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
A woman who works at the Neisen’s Red Door Bar in Belle Plaine described Morelock as “a wonderful person and [Kudla] as very mean when he drinks,” the criminal complaint read.
A Red Door bartender said Kudla “was drunk and beyond” that night, the complaint continued. A patron helped escort Kudla outside. She said Kudla had been harassing Morelock a few weeks earlier in the bar, and at one point called him a racial slur. He also was bothered that Morelock is gay, the bartender added.

The White man accused of shooting his Black neighbor in the neck last week has an “extensive history of threats, harassment and property damage against numerous neighbors” over a two-year period and evaded arrest by holing up in his home, court records show.
John Sawchak, 54, had two outstanding warrants against him for an alleged yearlong campaign of harassment targeting the shooting victim as well as a third warrant charging him with assaulting another neighbor in 2022, according to court documents.
In a statement to CNN, a spokesman for Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s office said Friday the mayor “fully supports an independent review of this incident.”
“The mayor and City are committed to always doing better, and this means closely examining past actions and finding where there may be ways to improve and grow,” the spokesman said.

Amazon founder and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his his victory over Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday.
"Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory. No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love," Bezos wrote.
The statement was the first time Bezos has posted on X since the assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
Prior to Election Day, Bezos blocked the Washington Post editorial board from endorsing Harris, arguing the lack of endorsement would build trust for the outlet.

There are so many conspiracies now, at least half of them I suspect to be created by certain 3 letter agencies themselves to make those who question the official statements as "Crazy", in addition to all the little Orwellian doublespeak terms such as, "FakeNews", "RacistFacts", "ToxicMasculinity" and so on - with the explicit purpose to cause division and confusion amongst the cattle in which they control, which happens to be us.
Some in particular, however, I feel are actually distortions of the truth. The idea that there are beings living at the center of the earth, reptilians, and that they intentional worship "demons" and are in the process of "summoning" them to our world, and instead of being a bunch of greedy atheists, those at the top are actually highly religious and superstitious, and worship ancient Egyptian Gods. Ra and Baal in particular.
Then there's the newer conspiracies that are really just an evolution of Gnosticism. The idea that we live on a prison planet, with the specific idea that our souls and suffering is harvested as a form of energy, and upon death you will walk into the sun to be reborn again, and all the planets act as demons who try to influence you. That's been quite popular lately.
I spent my life as an atheist, absolutely refusing to believe in any superstitions whatsoever, but it was actually the process of studying the elites and their demon worship that made me realize that clearly, with their power and influence, then they must know things that we do not - and if they believe in demons, then there must be other entities out there too.
Where my beliefs diverge from that many of the rest of you, however, is I don't think we are actually here to be punished or enslaved, or taken advantage of. A gunman in the US state of California who shot and injured two children aged six and five at a school before fatally shooting himself used a "guise" to gain access to the school.
The children are in critical but stable condition and were being treated at a trauma centre, officials said on Thursday.
The attack happened on Wednesday at a school affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church near Oroville, California, about 55 miles (89km) from Sacramento.
Investigators said they believe the gunman targeted the school because of its affiliation with the church and was motivated as a response to the war in Gaza.
The sheriff on Thursday said a note was found detailing the gunman's motive. The note said he sought to carry out the "child executions" as a "response to America's involvement with Genocide and Oppression of Palestinians along with the attacks towards Yemen".
Authorities said the gunman had a lengthy mental health and criminal history, which included charges of theft, fraud and forgery over the years.
The shooting occurred shortly after 13:00 local time (21:00 GMT) at the Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists.
Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said the gunman, Glenn Litton, 56, had scheduled a meeting with a school administrator to discuss enrolling a student - the ruse police say he used to get into the school.
The meeting was seemingly cordial and Litton went on a tour, Sheriff Honea said, but things took a turn when the gunman walked towards a bathroom and started opening fire. The gunfire hit students outside a classroom, striking two kindergarten-aged children.
The gunman then turned the handgun on himself, police said. He was found dead by first responders with the firearm near his body.
The school's remaining 35 children were later transferred to a church, where they were reunited with their families.
Sheriff Honea said on Wednesday that the young victims had "very, very serious" injuries.
"I'm thankful that they are still alive but they have a long road ahead of them."
Sheriff Honea previously said investigators "have received some information that leads us to believe that the subject responsible for the shooting targeted this school because of its affiliation with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church".
He previously noted authorities believed the shooting was an isolated incident, but a state-wide alert was sent to other schools affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church out of an abundance of caution.
The church is a Protestant Christian denomination with over 21 million members worldwide. There are one million members of the church in North America, according to the North American Division of Seventh-Day Adventists.

Suspects tied to the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) have been arrested in connection with a brutal execution and child kidnapping in Texas, according to reports.
The incident unfolded in the Dallas suburbs in late August, but authorities only recently caught up with three of the suspects in Colorado and New Mexico.
The body of Nilzult Petit, 33, was found on a street in Irving, TX, on August 24.
Shortly after, two young children related to Petit were rescued while wandering on Interstate 35 in Lewisville, TX, Fox 4 reported on Tuesday.
Investigators suspect that Petit, who was also reportedly apart of TdA, was abducted by four fellow gang members, taken to an apartment in Farmers Branch, and shot in the head before the kids were driven away and released, unharmed, approximately 10 miles away.
Authorities believe Petit was apart of a nationwide ATM theft operation and was killed for failing to pay his collaborators.
