My original main boards were /pol/ and /r9k/ around the time the former was first added to Halfchan. After a while I started disliking the direction they were going (too much earnest craziness and closed-mindedness in the case of /pol/ and /r9k/ starting to revolve too much around complaining instead of the kind of topical variety it used to have), and eventually found my way here.

I use a lot of boards here, mostly equivalents of the I used to visit, (like /vr/ and /mu/). I used to really like /cow/, but it's not as entertaining as it used to be.

Even if the funposting is out of control, I'll sometimes visit Halfchan just because it has more activity.

/cow/, /k/, /animu/, /r9k/, occasionally /kind/, and /liberty/. /pol/ and /v/ use to be my main boards, but for /pol/ the community has changed so much from what it use to be in the first exodus that I eventually ended up leaving the board altogether. With /v/, my main problem is that the place just feels like its become r/gaming and the quality of discussion has dropped like a rock. In all honesty, I find myself not using image boards as much as I use too. Back in the day, I would be on /pol/ or whatever for hours at a time before I ran out of threads to lurk. Nowadays imageboards just don't feel comfy to enough browse with that sort of frequency and its not like I have any less time than I did before.

4chan and 8ch(aside from many of the smaller boards) have gotten progressively worse over time and its just pretty depressing watching this all unfold. Like your watching a train wreck happen in slow motion and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I really miss first exodus 8chan.

I used to visit so many boards it wasn't even funny, i had to have a custom script to have my top bar drop down otherwise it took up too much room.

Now I only frequent a few places, some old lurk spots, on RARE occasion ill stop by /b/, /kind/, and /ebola/

I spend most online time on twitter, shithole that it is, its very easy to just post stuff and not give a fuck about the results, as im usually too busy to actually follow active discussion threads, and in public or work, risk of getting caught on chans is much worse than someone finding you are on twitter.

It's a mixed bag, on one hand I have a career, a house, a dog, a gf who i met on 8ch of all places and we spend most of our time with eachother, but I still miss those old days of shitposting all day, but im too spread thin to keep active in any place on a recurring basis usually.

Oh and 4chan /f/ and /d/, i still make it there regularly.

Also im so glad I got to experience the exodus Technically 8chans 4th or 5th, but it was the BIG exodus I got to feel the flame of youth I had back on old /b/ back in '09, that youthful energy that's hard to explain, I thought I would never experience again. I'm really glad I did, even if it passed, I am always thankful for 8ch for letting me experience that again

'Normie' is almost always used as an insult, so yes. It's also a word that most people outside of imageboards are either unaware of or only know in the context of 'reee normies' pepeposting, so I don't know why you'd use it around regular folks. Moreover, referring to another person as 'the X' (in this case, 'the normie') instead of using their real name is disrespectful, unless it's a joke or a nickname they're okay with, since you're implying that you don't consider their name worth learning or using.

Hellgate London.

The original, not the mmo it became after it's multi died. I played a shitton with the demo and then with the full game, which i bought at full price. Still no regrets. Nowadays i redownload it and play with the revival and lost london mods. Still, i kind of miss the unique multiplayer armor and weapons.

Stickman Warfare

Multiplayer fps game. A college student's creation. Very bad graphics but pretty fun gameplay. Back near the start anyway. It was essentially a TD where you could juat drop in and out of the server. Guns vs Tech. There were "classes" (weapons really) that you could choose. Guns had guns and a hummer to get around, tech had sci fi weaponry (like railguns, plasma launchers) and an anti gravity vehicle to get around the large island, which aside from a few landmarks and topography was pretty open. The dev made a world ending event before he applied the patch to upgrade the engine, and it was interesting events where everyone stopped fighting to watch it happen. I'm not sure where the game is now, but i kind of tuned out after the new engine patch dropped. Still, fun times were had by all back when it was on the old engine.

Hylics.

It's a very "artsy" and weird game, but i kind of like the nonsensical feverdreamlike aesthetic it has. It's a relatively short game, but it can be pretty long if you don't know what to do. The very non humorous humor is so in harmony with the stop motion clay animations. I learned how to snap with my index finger because of this game. It's made in rpgmaker but that doesn't speak of it's quality in my opinion. There's a more fleahed out second game in the making that i'm waiting for.

There was a paintball fps game that had pretty tight controls and was pretty fun to play. I think it was gotcha paintball or something familiar.

There were a couple or smaller obscure arena shooters but i forgot about them.

the basic attack is a rotoscoped hand in gloves snapping by using the index and thumb. I found this interesting, and after trying it realized that its much harder than a middle finger snap. After that i attempted to do it out of boredom and managed to get it down.

It's more silent than a normal snap, but the sound is different.

I don't think there are any anime that I like that wouldn't be known to the typical image board visitor.

The same can said about video games.

I can list some old stuff that were once popular that I like, that people don't talk about very much.

Can't think of any anime but i liked the manga ichigo100%. It was probably popular a long time ago. I didn't visit image boards back then. i read it a few times. I could have related to it but having gotten older everything there seems foreign. A job I hate is all that's stands between me and hikki neetdom. Not that I'd give on life or anything. anyways moving on.

Nes - ultima iv

This game was fantastic. Was also difficult for a 5-7year old beat. I never beat it but it amazing. The world was so vast. It's amazing for a nes game.

Nes Tmnt - ok game but i liked ninja turtles

Snes - swat kats - this game was fun

Snes Sekien Densetsu 3 - i really really enjoyed this game. When people discuss top rpgs it's never brought up. I plan revisit this game soon i never beat it cuz dumb young brother over wrote file twice. I was really far with the story too both times. This was a long time ago.

There are 6 main chatacters. You pick your lead and two others. The other characters become passing allies that never join your party. To get everyone's story you'll need to play the game at least twice.

Opposite time

I'm currently playing snes dkc and don't like it. Its a populargame but i have neverenjoyed donkey kong platformers. Its just not fun to me

Zelda botw.. Is.. Meh. Its popular but puzzles are severely lacking. The story is garbage. Its lazier than some nes stories. SS had better music, dungeons puzzles and story. BotW is this serene peaceful kinda game sometimes. So has its own nice going there but lacks the zelda essence. Also botw has potentially taken a huge dump on the timeline

TL;DR: I love drawing fluffies but the fandom has been ruined and is making me sad. What do?

I used to be a great fan of fluffies - cute, naive creatures with big hearts and a knack for ending in accidents. I'm not a good artist but I have endless creativity, and fluffies are sufficiently easy to draw.

If you've seen fluffies during the last two years, you'll have no doubt noticed that there's much less nice content about them anymore. /b/tards wanted to turn them into evil and despicable little hellgremlins so they could hate and abuse them without moral qualms, and nowadays the image of the fandom is permanently tarnished by people deliberately trying to paint the fluffies as combination of all the worst traits of mankind imaginable.

Sometimes it has seemed like the original fandom could split apart from the new "hellgremlin" fandom, but the fans of hellgremlins are hell-bent on insisting that their rapist-murderer fluffies are indistinguishable from the original love-and-huggies fluffies, and actively fight against any attempts to even tag their content accordingly. With hellgremlin art posted alongside good fluffy art any newcomers are bound to think that sadism is normal for fluffies, and if they'd have liked the concept of original fluffies they'll never enter the fandom that appears to be about creatures with a propensity to go full psycho with little to no warning.

What should I do? I love fluffies, I like drawing them, but I have lost all hope for the fandom so spending effort on this sinking ship just makes me sad. What do you think?

Isn't the whole thing a little sick? Why get pleasure out of the suffering and death of these cute creatures? And, although they also may be sick, I can see the other side of the fandom's point more, as it is more sensible and reasonable to want someone to suffer because of some wrong they have done than to want someone perfectly innocent to suffer. I am way too empathetic in real life. I have been abused myself, and can't even enjoy shows like Game of Thrones because seeing evil win and innocents suffer hits too close to home. However, fluffies are so over-the-top saccharine that the cute aggression flips the empathy over, and for the first time ever I can actually identify more with the abusers than their victims. Being able to watch cute, innocent creatures suffering without getting sad is a really strange feeling, like binaural stimulation for a part of brain you didn't know you had.

On a more serious note, my therapist actually encourages me to keep drawing fluffies, since they work as a way to deal with my own past experiences without being overwhelmed by them. I don't want to cause anyone suffering in the real world, so fluffies serve as a good dumping point for all the malice and violence I don't want to pass on.

So try "indirectly influencing" them by working hard to uproot immoral habits while bringing in moral habits, consciously thinking of good things (especially when a bad thought arises; can't think both at once) , and engaging in calming and happiness-inducing activities like drawing happy fluffies.

The road is being "upgraded" so to speak in the village where i live, and i didn't know that the bus did not go around due to this like it should. This morning when i made it to the bus stop pretty much just in time, i saw the notice which pointed a streets over, so i kind of rushed to the place and as it turned out, the bus itself was late due to work they began near one of the village entrances, and due to that i was just able to reach it just in time.

Sort of indirect, but here goes.

I used to work at a coffee shop as part of the management team on the afternoons. I accepted the position because I was well liked, or so I was told, and thought it would be easy. Ended up with one of the worst teams to work with.

Anyways, last night I went for a coffee with a friend i worked with. He told me that he overheard a group of them talking, mostly shit talking me. Then the last person I trained there says 'I liked Anon and I wanted to get to know him more. Yeah, he couldn't remember my name but he struggled with everyone's name'

Honestly made my night
