As for me, I have a strange phobia. It's mirrors. Has been for as long as I can remember. Despite my lack of stock in any kind of paranormal whatsoever, I could never shake the feeling that they aren't just reflections. That there is something not quite right with the "other me" and the world around him. My worst fear being split between seeing something in the mirror that isn't there on "my end," and seeing my reflection reveal its true nature in the dark.
By far the spoopiest story involving mirrors I ever read was one that describes in detail how much your "reflection" hates you, and spends every moment that you're turned away pounding and scratching at the mirror's surface, trying to get out. And how squished and distorted images at the bare edge of a mirror aren't just a trick of the light, but your reflection entity trying to squeeze through the gap between realities. Wish I could find it again.

That first one is very creepy. I'd crap my undies pretty hard. Wish it were longer, though. I feel that very short pastas rarely have a lasting impact.
Personally, I'd be more terrified of being stalked by a supernatural entity than having someone peep at me while I think I'm in privacy. Not that privacy isn't important, it just doesn't really do anything for me in terms of fear.

Anyone want to talk about spooky movies?
I was just talking about The Fourth Kind and Kairo/Pulse. They're my favorite horror films besides Ringu.
I'm all about atmosphere and subtle creepiness when it comes to spoopy movies, and I wish more films would try to achieve these things. Rather than going for cheap jump-scares, lame gore, titties, or having ambitions besides being a spooky movie.

The Aus skinwalker story fills me with terror because I have a friend with DID who goes into these fucked up amnesiac trances. Pretty sure his friend got spooked going into the woods and dissociated into an alter personality.

I have a pretty intense fear of jumpscare shit. I believe that a place does not need to be spooky to be haunted.

this is where it gets fuckin spooky

>search bar says "spooky skeleton"
>the link was a link to an image within the search, so we were spooked even more when the page auto-scrolled down to the linked image
>the image was of a fleshy skeleton that was legitimately creepy looking
>we're absolutely fucking spooked
>send him another link, curious on what will happen next

I think you're right. Although initially I thought it was a spooky skeleton granny, rather than a metallic alien. I don't think alien robots are all that intimidating, but the thought of this giant thing hovering towards you is pretty spoopy nonetheless.

I like hanging out in the park by myself after dark. One time I was cycling and a creepy guy was just standing in the middle of the path with his arms behind his back. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but it seemed like he had a bowler hat on, and had an umbrella. Sort of like an old timey English gentleman. As I rode past, he just stood there like a statue. Dunno if it's relevant, but it still scares the shit out of me everytime i remember about it;
It was during 2002, i was a kid and my family was obssessed with football; they were doing a cup in South Korea, and the weirdest thing is the fact that i remember it clearly despite never actually traveling to South Korea at all.
I remember not just whining, but fucking crying really really hard over Moreno's retarded reefree service which led to South Korea winning against Italy.
I was like 7 at the time, and i remember going down the street and passing through the nearest bar yelling "i've been in Korea!": all the others kept asking my parents "oh well how was it? despite the shitty match of course" and they were like "wtf we've never been to south korea".
Even watching clips of the match brings me back some vivid flashes of my "experience".
My mom still jokes about this thing even today, but im not just sure, im 100% sure that i was there, because i even remember telling all the details to someone who was there that day (he's no longer with us though, RIP) and he was like "wtf i remember that".
Not an horror story, but at my age remembering about it makes me unconfortable as fuck
