You're right, I am being a bit touchy. I am still saying though, a lot of people get into this because their lives were fucked and that's not going to get any better. It's not the addiction itself that is the problem, but that there's nothing to go back to and we're made out to be parasites, since we have to go out to the world to find meaning.

I get what you're saying is the right thing to do, but the truth for me was that I wasn't as deep in as some people were. I went to porn as a I'm gay for how empty my life was, and I got used to "help" being a kick in the teeth or people who want to hurt me. You'd be surprised how many people are just living off a disability check and go into porn because they think that's the only way they're going to meet anyone, since you can't really go out and make friends when you live that way. That's social death and it eats away at someone. There's no getting life back on track. There is finding a way to not need this addiction, and to mitigate the worst of it. Now my hobbies are at least for me things that I wanted to do, and I asked myself why I ever cared so much about the porn thing. It's still there - I'm not celibate but I might as well be, but I found my acceptable outlet. It tore me up inside that no one would ever give me the thing I wanted out of this, and there are very few hypno providers who even suggest that is a thing. Those who do provide good stuff find their reliable clients and realize that the hypno world is fully of lousy addicts and a lot of porn chasers, and so they burn out and go private.
