Mr. Diamantas also oversees food resources in the agency’s Office of Inspections and Investigations.
As the FDA’s top food executive, Mr. Diamantas sets the strategic direction and operations for food policy in the U.S., while serving as a critical liaison between the agency, Department of Health and Human Services, and The White House. He also represents the agency on food activities and matters in dealings with foreign governments and international organizations.
Mr. Diamantas has extensive experience working with various federal and state agencies and policy makers, scientific organizations, consumer advocacy groups, and industry stakeholders. He has wide-ranging experience on matters spanning regulatory, compliance, investigative, enforcement, rulemaking, and legislation. Mr. Diamantas holds a juris doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a bachelor’s in pre-law political science from the University of Central Florida.

The congressman also described pilots reporting UAP encounters being pulled from active duty and sent for psychological evaluation and alleged sightings of underwater craft moving at over 200 miles per hour and as large as a football field.
For Uri Geller, the disclosure is deeply personal. In his tweet he claims that in the 1970s, rocket scientist Wernher von Braun showed him fragments of metal recovered from a crashed UFO, which he described as feeling "conscious" and "alive" when he held them.
Von Braun then allegedly drove him to a refrigerated underground facility at NASA's Goddard Space Center, where Geller says he saw "small, mangled bodies of beings that were very clearly not human" stored behind frosted glass containers.
Geller says the already-released files — which include Apollo and Gemini mission reports describing astronauts encountering strange lights and objects near their crafts and hovering above the Moon — vindicate claims he has made for decades, while facing public ridicule.
"I've carried this knowledge for more than 50 years," Geller wrote. "So, when Tim Burchett says 'Holy Crap' is coming, I truly hope it includes what I saw — and that NASA's full involvement is finally exposed."

The lawsuit accuses the state of violating the 15th Amendment, which prohibits government from denying a citizen the right to vote based on race, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 in light of a recent Supreme Court ruling, which found district boundaries drawn primarily with racial considerations are unconstitutional.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation filed the lawsuit May 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois after the high court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais on April 29.
“States may not use race to allocate power,” the group’s president and general counsel, John Christian Adams, said.
The suit specifically named Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, the Illinois State Board of Elections, and its executive director Bernadette Matthews as defendants.
None immediately responded to a request for comment from The Epoch Times.
Pritzker signed a new congressional map for his state in 2021, and he said at the time that the “Illinois Voting Rights Act of 2011 ensures redistricting plans are crafted in a way that preserves clusters of minority voters if they are of size or cohesion to exert collective electoral power. The maps signed into law today meet those requirements to adequately preserve minority representation and reflect the diversity of our state.”
The Public Interest Legal Foundation argued in the lawsuit that this statement from the governor is a direct admission to violating federal law in using race to draw districts.
Furthermore, the Illinois Voting Rights Act of 2011 illegally mandated a racial map, ordering districts to be created as crossover, coalition, or influence districts, the group said.
According to the state’s legislation, a crossover district is where majority voters vote with the racial or language minority to elect their preferred candidate.
A coalition district is where more than one group of racial or language minorities can form a coalition to elect a candidate of all of their choice. An influence district is where a racial or language minority can impact the outcome of an election even if its preferred candidate cannot be elected.
All three types of districts in Illinois require “drawing district lines to preserve deliberate racial percentages, racial majorities, and the deliberate preservation of racial influence districts,” the lawsuit read.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Supreme Court issued opinions Tuesday in two cases concerning the state’s latest redistricting map.
Both opinions found the map meets constitutional requirements. As it is already in effect, it will stay in effect.
"Today's Missouri Supreme Court rulings are a huge victory for voters," Gov. Mike Kehoe said in a statement. "Missourians are more alike than we are different, and our Missouri values — rooted in common sense, hard work, and personal responsibility — are stronger and far more aligned across both sides of the aisle than the extreme left-wing agendas pushed in states like New York, California, and Illinois. A U.S. Court of Appeals has paused a ruling from the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) that had struck down President Trump’s second round of tariffs. They have issued a short-term administrative stay on the CIT's ruling, although they are considering a longer one.
The new set of tariffs was immediately enacted following the Supreme Court’s decision invalidating the original Liberation Day tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), and put a baseline 10 percent tariff on all U.S. trading partners.
The new tariffs were originally blocked last Friday.
They were enacted under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows temporary import surcharges without Congressional approval for 150 days.

A BILL
To prohibit weather modification within the United States, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Short title.
This Act may be cited as the “Clear Skies Act”.
SEC. 2. Prohibition of weather modification.
(a) In general.—Whoever, in any circumstance described in subsection (b), knowingly conducts weather modification in the United States, including the territories and possessions of the United States, shall be subject to the penalties described in subsection (c).
(b) Circumstances described.—For the purposes of subsection (a), the circumstances described in this subsection are that—
(1) the defendant traveled in interstate or foreign commerce, or traveled using a means, channel, facility, or instrumentality of interstate or foreign commerce, in furtherance of or in connection with the conduct described in subsection (a);
(2) the defendant used a means, channel, facility, or instrumentality of interstate or foreign commerce in furtherance of or in connection with the conduct described in subsection (a);
(3) the defendant transmitted in interstate or foreign commerce any communication relating to or in furtherance of the conduct described in subsection (a) using any means, channel, facility, or instrumentality of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce by any means or in any manner, including by computer, mail, wire, or electromagnetic transmission;
(4) the conduct described in subsection (a) occurred within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States, or any territory or possession of the United States; or
(5) the conduct described in subsection (a) otherwise occurred in or affected interstate or foreign commerce.
(c) Penalties.—
(1) CRIMINAL PENALTY.—Whoever violates subsection (a) shall be fined not more than $100,000 for each violation, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
(2) CIVIL PENALTY.—The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency may, in coordination with the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, impose a civil penalty of not more than $10,000 for each violation of subsection (a), in addition to any other penalties provided by law.
(3) REPEAT VIOLATIONS.—Each instance of injection, release, emission, or dispersal under subsection (a) shall constitute a separate violation of such section.
SEC. 3. Reporting and investigation.
(a) Public reporting.—
(1) ESTABLISHMENT OF SYSTEM.—The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, in coordination with the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, shall establish a system for the public to report suspected violations of section 2.
(2) SUBMISSION OF REPORTS.—Such system may collect reports via telephone, email, mail, or an online portal.
(3) PUBLICATION OF REPORTS.—The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall make publicly available on the website of the Environmental Protection Agency any reports collected by such system under this subsection.
(b) Investigation.—
(1) IN GENERAL.—The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall investigate suspected violations of section 2 reported under subsection (a) that the Administrator determines warrant further review.

It appears that not only is Cynthia West telling the truth about the South Africa trip, but Massie found it to be so romantic, he returned to South Africa for his honeymoon with a different woman just one year later. Last hantavirus flight lands, hospital staff go into quarantine

The cruise liner Hondius has begun its journey back to Rotterdam after the last flight carrying passengers and crew touched down in Eindhoven on Monday evening.
A total of 122 people have been repatriated from the ship, which was hit by an outbreak of hantavirus during a cruise in the South Atlantic that left three people dead.
The passengers and crew will have to quarantine for six weeks after arriving home, but the World Health Organization has said the risk to the general public is very low.
Radboudumc university hospital in Nijmegen has placed 12 of its staff in quarantine after they were potentially exposed to the virus while taking blood samples from an infected patient.
The patient was one of two passengers who were evacuated from the ship to hospitals in the Netherlands and subsequently tested positive. The hospital said strict infection control procedures had not been followed when disposing of the patient’s urine.
–A statement by Radboudumc said: “At the time of admission, blood was drawn from the patient. This blood was processed according to the standard procedure.
“Due to the nature of the virus, this blood should have been processed according to a stricter procedure.
“Because of these circumstances, twelve employees will go in preventive quarantine for six weeks as a precaution, despite the fact that the chance of infection is small.”–
Final flight delayed
The last flight had been due to take off from Tenerife earlier in the afternoon, but strong winds delayed the process of transferring the crew members off the ship.
Most of those on board were crew members, including one Dutch national, as well as a doctor and two epidemiologists who were part of the emergency response team.
Altogether 13 Dutch citizens were evacuated from the ship in the last week, while two of the three people who died from the illness were a Dutch couple.
The 70-year-old man fell ill five days after the ship left Argentina on April 1 and died on April 11. His wife, aged 69, died in hospital in Johannesburg two weeks later after she developed symptoms while traveling back from the island of St Helena.
A German woman also died on board. Altogether there have been nine suspected or confirmed cases, including three people who tested positive for the virus after being evacuated from the ship.
“This is not Covid”
Hantavirus is a virus mainly spread by rodents, but one variant, known as the Andes variant, can be transmitted between people in close contact situations.
Maria van Kerkhove, the WHO’s epidemic and pandemic preparedness director, said at a press conference last week that there was no risk of the virus triggering another pandemic: “This is not Covid, this is not influenza,” she said.
The MV Hondius is now sailing on to Rotterdam, where it will undergo a deep cleaning process after its expected arrival on Sunday morning, cruise operator Oceanwide Expeditions said.
Altogether 25 people are still on board, including four Dutch nationals, two of whom are medical staff from the public health RIVM who flew out to the ship after the outbreak was confirmed.
The rest of the crew are mostly from the Philippines. They will have to go into quarantine after the ship docks.

More than 10,000 foreign students ‘claim to be working for highly suspect employees,’ according to ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons.
WASHINGTON—Trump immigration officials on May 12 revealed findings from a nationwide investigation into a common work program for foreign students, outlining allegations of suspicious work sites, “phantom employees,” financial inconsistencies, and evidence of transnational fraud.
Todd Lyons, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s acting director, told reporters that investigators “have identified over 10,000 foreign students who claim to be working for highly suspect employers.”
The probe by Homeland Security Investigations, which falls under ICE, focused on optional practical training, or OPT.
OPT is a work program for foreigners on student visas that can extend for 12 or even 24 months after graduation. OPT participants frequently transition to the H-1B work visa program. As of 2024, the program had grown to over 400,000 participants.
While defenders say it helps the United States meet key skilled labor needs, multiple Republican lawmakers have called to change or end the program. In late 2025, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem told Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.), a critic of the program, that the agency was working to potentially create new rules for OPT.
The initial findings from ICE HSI could galvanize OPT opponents.
On May 12, Lyons told reporters that the more than 10,000 suspiciously employed foreign students his team identified were “just among the top 25 OPT employers.”
He described visits to listed OPT employers in Texas, North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, and New York.
“We’ve discovered empty buildings and locked doors at addresses where hundreds of students are allegedly employed,” Lyons said, claiming that the program was riddled with redundant unused addresses and addresses for small residential spaces.
“We have seen suspicious financial transactions moving cash across multiple countries,” he added.
The ICE leader said investigators had identified alleged “phantom employees”—“foreign students who obtained work authorization documents through OPT but never showed up for work at the sites they claimed.”
John Condon, HSI’s acting associate director, told reporters that his team noticed a similar troubling trend in Texas, where they recently visited 18 OPT work sites.
“One employer we visited claimed to employ only three students through OPT, while our records show over 500 foreign students claiming to work there,” he said.
He described networks of OPT employers, accusing them of disobeying the requirements of the program by outsourcing training to third parties.
“Our investigators have discovered questionable financial networks crossing multiple countries involving numerous bank accounts and complex transactions,” Condon said.
Rep. Paul Gosar, who has introduced legislation to eliminate OPT, told The Epoch Times in an email that the findings “should outrage every American citizen looking for a job.”

Radboudumc admitted a patient infected with hantavirus on Thursday, May 7. The patient comes from the Dutch cruise ship Hondius.
Staff placed in preventive quarantine as a precaution
At the time of admission, blood was drawn from the patient. This blood was processed according to the standard procedure. Due to the nature of the virus, this blood should have been processed according to a stricter procedure.
In addition, it became clear on Saturday (May 9) that the most up-to-date international regulations had not been applied when disposing of the patient’s urine. Due to the nature of the virus, the urine should have been disposed of according to a stricter procedure.
Because of these circumstances, twelve employees will go in preventive quarantine for six weeks as a precaution, despite the fact that the chance of infection is small.
Ensuring patient care runs smoothly
“Despite the fact that the chance of actual infection is very small, these measures have a major impact on all those involved. We regret that this happened in our umc. We will carefully investigate the course of events to learn from this so that it can be prevented in the future,” said Bertine Lahuis, Chair of the Executive Board of Radboudumc.
“Of course, we will ensure that the colleagues involved receive all the support they need. We have great appreciation for their commitment, and that of their colleagues, to ensure that care for the patient runs smoothly. In the meantime, our umc stands ready to admit any new patients should this be necessary.”

No one wants to hear it and get really uncomfortable, they gloss over the topic, but if Spencer Pratt really said “I am sorry to have to say the graphic details, but it needs to be said, so people understand the gravity of what is occurring”…and then laid out without rushed talking, the fact that homeless street people who are mental and on drugs are raping animals on the street and all of the other horrific abuse IN DETAIL for all of the media to be forced to report on in the last days before the June 2 election, Spencer will win with a huge % of the vote. Animal people, which is most everyone no mater the side of politics you prefer, men , women, black, white, hispanic, parents….everyone who will be forced to hear those details, as they are so glossed over, will be so shocked to know this is fact, will cast their vote not only for Los Angelas, but for all of the helpless animals that are being subjected to vile abuse on THE STREETS with no arrests as it is “culturally insensitive” to do anything to the “un-housed”.
Spencer needs to make a viral video about the animals alone, and not mice words and even include the images, not go soft, tell it in all it vileness, slowly, not rushed so everyone sees and hears clearly what is happening to cats and dogs on the streets of Los Angelas.
The other candidates will have no way of defeating this strategy of showing the animal abuse that HAS ALREADY happened to these animals for years under the other candiates watch.
Someone get this idea to Spencer and his team to do this now.
It should be at least a ten minute video to really highlight how bad it is , like a mini-documentary.
I bet he will be flooded with donations to his campaign from people all across the USA that love animals.
Most people have not heard of all the SICK abuse in broad daylight on the streets of Los Angelas.
