Moreover, members of her family have already been convicted of drug trafficking. In 2015, two of Flores' nephews were trying to sell 800 kg of cocaine. They were taken to the U.S., convicted in New York in 2016, and sentenced to 18 years each.

However, in October 2022, President Biden granted them clemency, and they were swapped for 7 wrongfully detained Americans held in Venezuela.

There's a saying that behind every successful man is a woman equally successful, who made his career. But in the case of Cilia Flores, it seems she not only built Maduro's career, but may have sealed his criminal fate as well.

Suspect arrested after vandalizing JD Vance’s Cincinnati home, report says

A man is in custody after he allegedly vandalized Vice President JD Vance’s home early Monday morning.

William DeFoor, 26, is being charged with one count each of obstructing official business, criminal damaging or endangering, criminal trespass and vandalism, court records show.

It happened at Vance’s East Walnut Hills house, located on William Howard Taft Drive.

U.S. Secret Service called for Cincinnati police at 12:15 a.m. after seeing someone “running eastbound,” a dispatcher told FOX19 NOW.

According to an arrest report, DeFoor was seen by a U.S. Secret Service agent walking onto Vance’s property and “damaging four of the victim’s residential windows and the victim’s vehicle.”

DeFoor was detained by Secret Service agents shortly after.

When officers advised the suspect of his rights, he responded, “I don’t know,” the arrest report says.

“The U.S. Secret Service is coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office as charging decisions are reviewed,” a statement from Secret Service says.

The vice president and his family are out of town and were not in the home when the incident occurred, the agency added.

This is not DeFoor’s first time facing criminal charges.

In April, he pleaded guilty to two counts of vandalism after he caused more than $2,000 worth of damages to a Hyde Park interior design company, court documents say.

DeFoor was sentenced to treatment at a mental health facility for two years and was required to pay $5,550 in restitution.

The suspect will be arraigned in Hamilton County Municipal Court Tuesday. A high bond is recommended due to his criminal history, the arrest report indicates.
