Alleged Mastermind Behind Attack on President Duque Arrested
Colombian law enforcement have arrested the suspected organizer of the attack on the helicopter of Colombian President Ivan Duque, according to Defense Minister Diego Molano Aponte.
"We tracked him down and captured him. Alias ‘Aurelio’, the alleged mastermind of the terrorist attack on the helicopter of President @IvanDuque on June 25 in Cucuta," Molano said on Twitter on Saturday.
According to the defense minister, the suspect was arrested as a result of a special operation carried out in the department of Norte de Santander, which borders Venezuela.
On June 25, Duque's helicopter was shot at from the ground, though no casualties were reported. A separate attack occurred in mid-June, when over 35 military personnel were injured in a car bomb explosion at an army base in Cucuta.
The Middle Magdalena Bloc of the FARC-EP (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army) claimed responsibility for the attacks in July.

Travis Scott has brought out his own burger meal with McDonald’s, and social media users think Donald Trump wouldn’t be a fan.
The announcement that Travis Scott’s has collaborated with McDonald’s and released his own meal is no-doubt the most bizarre news of September so far, but we’re definitely not mad at it.
The ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper has taken social media by storm as the burger now has its own TikTok trend, memes, and pretty much everybody is talking about it on Twitter.
Social media users even made up a joke that Donald Trump doesn’t like the burger. Strange right? To public knowledge, the President hasn’t actually tried the fast-food meal. But people really want to know what he’d think of it!
TRAVIS SCOTT BROUGHT OUT HIS OWN MCDONALD’S MEAL
If you didn’t know already, Rapper Travis Scott is a pretty big fan of McDonald’s, and he’s collaborated with the fast-food chain to bring out his own burger meal, inspired by his go-to order.
The $6 meal launched on September 8th, and consists of a quarter-pounder with cheese, bacon and lettuce, medium fries with BBQ sauce and a Sprite.
It’s called Cactus Jack, named after his record label, and he’s also released a line of McDonald’s themed merch to go alongside it. Ever wanted a chicken nugget pillow? Well, now you can get one!

Earlier in the week, Paxton sued the Biden administration over the mandate and argued that the move to force workers at companies with over 100 employees to be vaccinated or undergo weekly testing is "flatly unconstitutional."
"Biden’s new vaccine mandate on private businesses is a breathtaking abuse of power," Paxton tweeted Friday. "OSHA has only limited power & specific responsibilities. This latest move goes way outside those bounds. This ‘standard’ is flatly unconstitutional. I’m asking the Court to strike it down."

TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL SUES BIDEN ADMINISTRATION, SLAMS 'FLATLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL' FEDERAL VACCINE MANDATE
OSHA is giving employers with more than 100 employees a Jan. 4 deadline to comply with President Biden's COVID-19 vaccine mandate and threatening thousands of dollars in fines for defiant businesses, according to a fact sheet released by the White House Thursday.
The White House has stood by the mandate despite pushback from several Republican led states and argued that the move is a workplace standard rather than a mandate.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to a question at a Friday press briefing about whether or not she is confident the mandate will stand up to legal challenges.

"We are very confident that it can," Jean-Pierre said. "As for the legal side of this, let me be crystal clear to avoid what appears to be possible misinformation or disinformation around the emergency temporary standard being a vaccine mandate. That would be on its face incorrect as has been explicit for months. It is a standard for safe workplace to either comply with weekly testing or to be vaccinated."
Paxton spoke with Fox News Digital after the decision and said that he is "really pleased."

"It’s not the end of the battle but I’m excited because it gives people hope that they aren’t going to lose their jobs and the president isn’t going to be able to ruin people’s careers and make their lives more difficult," Paxton said.
Paxton added that he believes the Biden administration will appeal the decision.
"BREAKING: The Federal Court of Appeals just issued a temporary halt to Biden’s vaccine mandate," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted. "Emergency hearings will take place soon. We will have our day in court to strike down Biden’s unconstitutional abuse of authority."

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi officials said Sunday the residence of Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi was hit by rocket fire but he was unharmed in the attack.
Residents of Baghdad heard the sound of an explosion followed by gunfire from the direction of the capital’s heavily fortified Green Zone, which houses foreign embassies and government offices.
Two Iraqi officials said al-Kadhimi’s residence was hit by rocket fire. It was not immediately clear who fired the rocket. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.
Pro-Iran Shiite militias supporters have been camped outside the Green zone for nearly a month after they rejected the results of Iraq’s parliamentary elections in which they were the biggest losers.

HOUSTON, TEXAS – According to authorities, 8 people were declared dead and hundreds were reportedly injured during the opening night of a popular weekend music festival at NRG Park on Friday night. Videos posted on the social media showed crowd running in panic at Astroworld music festival.
According to Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña, the worst of the incident began around 9:15 p.m., when the crowd of approximately 50,000 concertgoers began to move toward the front of the stage.
According to him, this caused some panic and resulted in some injuries.
“The crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, and that caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries,” the fire chief Peña said. “People began to fall out, become unconscious, and it created additional panic.”
In total, 17 people were taken to hospitals, eleven of whom were in cardiac arrest. According to fire chief, 8 people were declared dead.
At the event, which drew thousands of people, 300 people were treated for minor injuries such as cuts and bruises.
Travis Scott, a rapper from Missouri City, was joined on stage by Drake in a surprise appearance as the crowd surged.
Investigators were sent to hospitals on Saturday morning to try to identify the victims. The medical examiner’s office in Harris County will determine how the eight people died at Astroworld music festival.
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner has requested calm, saying that people should not jump to conclusions about what caused the crowd surge.
“I think it’s very important that none of us speculate,” he said. Tonight, no one has all of the answers.
According to the event’s website, Travis Scott’s third annual Astroworld Festival was set to take place from Friday to Saturday.
The Saturday’s event has been cancelled following the mass casualty incident.
Travis Scott, a well-known rapper and event organiser, launched the Astroworld Festival in 2018. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it, like most other large events, was cancelled in 2020.

The live music event of the year may just have taken place, unaffected by the global lockdown – and within a video game. On Thursday, US rapper Travis Scott performed a live set inside the online shooter Fortnite and more than 12m players took part in the spectacle. Many more are expected to have watched via streaming platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.
The vast audience for the performance beat the previous Fortnite music event, an in-game gig by electronic dance music artist Marshmello in February 2019, which attracted more than 10 million viewers. Further performances are set to take place on Friday and Saturday.
Fortnite developer Epic Games announced the event, named Astronomical, earlier this week. For the opening performance on Thursday, Fans were instructed to enter the game at 6.30pm EST (12am BST) to secure a place on the game’s servers before the 7pm start time. Players were then able to congregate in front of a virtual stage built into the game world as the music kicked off and Scott performed Highest in the Room and Sicko Mode; five minutes in, the set exploded and Scott appeared as a giant, striding over the Fortnite landscape.
The 10-minute performance, which has received rave reviews from players on social media, ended with a new track, The Scotts, a collaboration with rapper Kid Cudi. Fans were also able to collect Scott-related skins for their own characters, and even to wield flaming microphone stands during the event, a reference to a much-memed Scott concert photo.
There are still chances to watch the event within Fortnite – today at 3pm, and then Saturday at 5am, 4pm and 11pm.

Appeals court temporarily halts Biden vaccine mandate for larger businesses
NEW ORLEANS — A federal appeals court on Saturday temporarily halted the Biden administration's vaccine requirement for businesses with 100 or more workers.
The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency stay of the requirement by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration that those workers be vaccinated by Jan. 4 or face mask requirements and weekly tests.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said the action stops President Biden "from moving forward with his unlawful overreach. The president will not impose medical procedures on the American people without the checks and balances afforded by the constitution."
At least 27 states filed lawsuits challenging the rule in several circuits, some of which were made more conservative by the judicial appointments of former President Donald Trump.
The Biden administration has been encouraging widespread vaccinations as the quickest way to end the pandemic that has claimed more than 750,000 lives in the United States.
The administration says it is confident that the requirement, which includes penalties of nearly $14,000 per violation, will withstand legal challenges in part because its safety rules pre-empt state laws.
The 5th Circuit, based in New Orleans, said it was delaying the federal vaccine requirement because of potential "grave statutory and constitutional issues" raised by the plaintiffs. The government must provide an expedited reply to the motion for a permanent injunction Monday, followed by petitioners' reply on Tuesday

If irony were a psychoactive compound, the amount produced by Andrew Cuomo’s departure from office last August would’ve been enough to cause a rash of fatal overdoses. In the span of just a few months, Cuomo went from being one of the country’s most formidable and even fearsome elected officials, to having the prefix “disgraced” obligatorily attached to his “former governor” job title. This after being exposed, purportedly, as a serial sexual predator. Sure — there have been dramatic falls from grace before. But this one was on some other level.

Cuomo of course already commanded a large national profile before 2020, but thanks to a wave of corporate media adulation during the height of COVID, he was transformed into a newfound “national hero” and noble foil to Donald Trump — with murmurs that he’d even launch a late bid for president. “Andrew Cuomo may be the single most popular politician in America right now,” one representative CNN headline blared.
Then, in a brutal Shakespearean twist of fate, a slew of curiously choreographed “accusations” emerged — and in the blink of an eye, many of those same media operators turned on him like it was nothing. The state Attorney General, Letitia James, mobilized into action, and received authorization from Cuomo to launch an investigation with the stipulation that she would appoint independent attorneys to run it, in light of her enormous conflict of interest: she planned to run for Governor herself. A media establishment which had just got done exalting Cuomo as the modern-day Winston Churchill of New York decided to abstain from conducting basic journalistic scrutiny of these circumstances, and instead became witless PR agents for both the supposed “victims” and James, who touted herself as the victims’ fearless champion. Which would certainly be a useful selling point for her upcoming campaign. Almost immediately after James published the findings, Cuomo’s political support evaporated, impeachment proceedings were initiated, a chorus of condemnations erupted, and he was kicked unceremoniously out the door.
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but to my knowledge I was the only person with any tangential connection to The Media who even attempted any kind of skeptical inquiry into these machinations against Cuomo. Not because I had any pre-existing affinity for him — quite the opposite, in fact — but because it was obvious from the get-go that the anti-Cuomo putsch was full of holes, predicated on the worst kind of emotional blackmail tactics, and spearheaded by people with manifestly dubious motives. I intentionally use “putsch” to describe the machinations, only half jokingly, because it’s a term that appropriately captures the sordid essence of this concerted plot to achieve a desired political outcome — Cuomo’s ouster — which could not have been achieved by ordinary electoral means.
The basic reality is that Cuomo almost certainly would never have been defeated in a New York Democratic gubernatorial primary, and his “progressive” antagonists within the Party (such as James) would’ve been stuck with him for as long as he cared to stay in office. Past attempts by “progressive” insurgents to dislodge him in 2014 and 2018 failed miserably, despite much hype by Cuomo-hostile online media organs in NYC. This very week, in fact — months after Cuomo’s supposed banishment into permanent disgrace — a poll showed him substantially leading in gubernatorial preference among voters in the Bronx, were he to run again. Which, incredibly enough, is a distinct possibility. New York does not have gubernatorial term limits, and if the putsch hadn’t been executed this year, he likely could have remained in power for several more terms without much hindrance, particularly given the fecklessness of the state GOP. So the increasingly assertive “progressive” wing of the New York Democratic Party — long festering with resentment against Cuomo, who by early 2021 had been in power for over a decade — needed some other vehicle by which to remove him. And they settled on the most reliable tool they have in their arsenal to settle internal Democratic Party disputes: a manufactured #MeToo-style PR offensive.

The mRNA is packaged in lipid (fat) nano- (extremely small) particles in the jab. The Pfizer document contains measurements of the concentration of these lipid nanoparticles in different organs and tissues in Wistar rats over time, from 15 minutes to 48 hours after injection. In other words, they jabbed a bunch of literal lab rats, "sacrificed" that means killed 1 out of 7 of them after 15 minutes, and the same number after 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, and 2 days. Then they dissected them, likely pureed the pieces, and used some sort of radiation sensor to measure the concentrations of tritium (radioactive hydrogen) put into the nanoparticles beforehand.
The concentration of particles still found at the injection site after 48 hours was 165 micrograms (µg) per milliliter (mL). An equivalent measure would be milligrams per Liter. To give an idea of the ratio, a Liter is a bit more than a quart, and 1000 grams (a kilogram) is about 2.2 pounds. A (very) loose translation of the ratio of 165 mg/L is 165 parts per million. 165 parts per million doesn't sound like a lot, but remember, this is for whole tissue. 1 million / 165 is one part in 6060, for *everything* in the tissue, extracellular stuff, cell membrane, intracellular stuff, and a bunch of water. It's a lot.
What happens to the lipid nanoparticles over time after injection? From 15 minutes to two hours, they become detectable in their highest concentrations over time at the injection site (394 mg/L after 1 hour), and in Whole blood (w/red and white blood cells, 5.40 mg/L) and Plasma (just the liquid part, 8.90 mg/L) after 2 hours, where the plasma makes up a bit more than half of the blood volume. They also reach significant concentrations after two hours in the Liver, Spleen, and Kidneys, which are likely attempting to filter/degrade/detoxify/remove them. While 8.90 in the blood after 2 hours seems a lot smaller than 394 at the injection site after 1 hour (311 mg/L after 2 hours), remember that the volume of the injection site is much smaller than the volume of the blood in the rat. Without looking up the average blood volume of mature male/female Wistar rats, it is safe to say that a very large fraction of the injected nanoparticles do not stay at the injection site.
Over the next 48 hours, the concentration at the injection site goes down by about half, the concentration in the blood goes down, and the concentrations in the Liver and Spleen continue to go up. This means that nanoparticles from the injection site continue to leave the injection site, carried away predominantly in the blood plasma, whence they are free to enter cells in other tissues. The fact that the blood concentration continues to go down even as lipid nanoparticles are being released from the injection site further underlines the difference in volume between the injection site and blood. Aside from the injection site, the highest organ concentrations after 48 hours are in the Liver and Spleen.
