Police and military personnel are often used as the violent enforcement arm of the state but what happens what agents within that institution say NO and they refuse to go along with the orders of said state? Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s mother Margaret Trudeau recently spoke at an event hosted by an organization that received $5.8 million from the federal government.

On October 14, 2021, she appeared at an Elevate.ca event titled Think 2030 to discuss mental health and the COVID-19 pandemic. The company, however, is now refusing to say whether they paid Margaret Trudeau any compensation for the event.

The not-for-profit based out of Toronto lobbies the federal government for funds and in June of this year, FedDev Ontario awarded the agency millions in funds.

“Elevate did not receive any federal funding whatsoever for its event Think 2030,” Elevate general manager Lisa Zarzeczny told CTV News.

According to the federal government, the funding given to the organization was to “reskill 5,300 job seekers from underrepresented communities, including Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQ+, and francophone professionals in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and match them with job openings in technology and innovation-based organizations, start-ups and the creative industries.”

Last year, payments made to Margaret Trudeau and other members of the Trudeau family by WE Charity were investigated by the federal ethics commissioner.

In total, Margaret Trudeau received upwards to half a million dollars from the charity for various speaking engagements.

Trudeau’s brother Alexandre Trudeau and the prime minister’s wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau have also received payments from WE.

Although Trudeau was cleared of any wrongdoing by Ethics Commissioner Mario Dion, Dion noted that the matter did have an “appearance of a conflict of interest” but no laws were violated by the prime minister when he handed the company a $900 million single-sourced contract.

Additionally, disgraced finance minister Bill Morneau was found guilty of breaking ethics laws for giving the company what amounted to “unfettered access” to his office.

Four Alberta doctors are launching a legal challenge against Alberta Health Services (AHS) and its president over the health authority's mandatory workplace COVID-19 vaccination policy, reports CBC News.

The lawsuit's plaintiffs are Calgary pediatric neurologist Dr. Eric T. Payne, Calgary anesthesiologist Dr. Joanna J. Moser, Ponoka family physician Dr. Gregory Keen-Wai Chan and Sexsmith family physician Dr. David Loewen.

The four physicians filed a statement of claim last Friday in the Calgary Courts Centre. In their claim, the doctors allege that the AHS mandatory vaccination policy is "unethical and unlawful" and equates to a form of assault.

"Any medical procedure performed on a patient without their informed consent amounts to assault," the statement of claim says.

The lawsuit also alleges that the mandatory vaccination policy amounts to constructive dismissal, as it alters the plaintiffs' contracts on threat of termination or unpaid suspension. It further states that the mandatory vaccine policy breaches confidentiality, since "the minute a physician is placed on unpaid leave, their status is immediately apparent."

The suit further alleges the AHS policy violates the right to security of the person, guaranteed under Section 7 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The plaintiffs' Calgary-based lawyer, Jeffrey Rath, said he would file an application for an injunction on Monday to force AHS to halt its policy until the lawsuit is heard in court.

The mandatory vaccination policy was announced by AHS in August, requiring all of its employees, students, volunteers and contractors to provide proof of vaccination by October 31. Last week, AHS extended the deadline for all workers by one month, to November 30.

A spokesperson for AHS told CBC News that 94% of AHS employees have submitted proof of vaccination. He also expressed confidence in AHS' vaccination policy and stated that AHS has not yet seen the statement of claim or lawsuit.

"AHS is confident in the validity of the mandatory immunization policy, which is an important tool to ensure the safety of our staff, physicians and patients," the spokesperson said.

To date, 61 AHS employees are reported to have resigned their positions specifically over the mandatory vaccination policy. That includes 31 staffers in clinical roles, 11 of whom are registered nurses.

The lawsuit further alleges that AHS president Dr. Verna Yiu, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and other government officials have made "false statements" that the "unvaccinated are to blame for the pandemic and hospital overcrowding."

50,000 Ontario education workers could be fired if vaccines mandated, education minister says

Approximately 15% of Ontario's education workers have either attested to not being vaccinated or have refused to disclose their vaccination status.

According to Ontario's minister of education, upwards of 50,000 education workers in Ontario could be fired if COVID-19 vaccines were mandated for the sector, The Canadian Press reports.

Responding to the Ontario NDP party in question period, education minister Stephen Lecce said a mandatory vaccine policy would mean terminating tens of thousands of educators when the province already faces staffing shortages.

"I think we have to be coupled by realism and ensure that any staff member who enters our school has a double test, a negative antigen test, to ensure they are safe, to ensure our schools could be staffed, and these kids can continue to go to school every day," Lecce said.

More than 85% of Ontario's education staff are vaccinated, while the remaining approximately 15% have either attested to not being vaccinated or have refused to disclose their vaccination status.

The approximately 50,000 workers include teachers, educational assistants, early childhood educators, principals, board staff, occasional staff and custodians, who are either unvaccinated or won't disclose their status.

Some school boards, such as the Toronto District School Board, have already enacted their own tougher policies that include threat of termination.

Canada’s employment minister said Friday that those who lose their jobs over their refusal to comply with mandatory COVID-19 injections will be “ineligible” to get unemployment benefits. Some experts are questioning her position.

In an interview conducted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Employment Minister of Canada Carla Qualtrough said, “It’s a condition of employment that hasn’t been met.”

“And the employer choosing to terminate someone for that reason would make that person ineligible for EI,” she added.

If an employee in Canada loses his or her job without “just cause,” they are eligible to receive the EI benefit, which covers 55 percent of their weekly earnings up to a maximum of $595.

When asked about the certainty of this being the course of action that will be taken by the Canadian government, Qualtrough said, “I can tell you that’s the advice I’m getting, and that’s the advice I’ll move forward with.”

In response to the shocking statement by the minister, Paul Champ, an employment lawyer in Ottawa, told the CBC that Qualtrough is likely mistaken that the government will be able to deny people EI benefits for their refusal to undergo an experimental medical treatment.

“I think it’s very arguable about whether employees terminated for not getting the vaccine requirement is just cause for termination,” said Champ in an interview the same day as Qualtrough’s announcement. “I think it’s reasonable that some employers may and will terminate employees for not being vaccinated — I don’t take issue with that — but it’s different to say that it’s just cause, meaning you pay them nothing.”

In Canada, vaccine mandates have become almost ubiquitous in certain sectors, including healthcare, education, and law enforcement, leaving many worried about their financial future. If these employees cannot file for EI benefits, on top of losing their jobs, they will also lose any ability to receive money while looking for another job.

In September, 172 employees at two hospitals in Windsor, Ontario, were suspended without pay for refusing the jab. The employees, which include nurses and doctors, were told that if they did not comply with the policy and achieve full vaccination status by October 7, they were to be terminated “with cause” and would therefore not qualify for EI.

In August, the Toronto Police Service (TPS) announced a vaccine mandate for all employees, leading citizens and police officers to rally together in front of TPS headquarters in early September to field their opposition to the dictatorial measure.

“Thomas Jefferson said that when ‘people are afraid of the government, you have a tyranny, and that when government is afraid of the people, you have a democracy,’ and what we’ve got right now is a dictatorship,” said constitutional rights lawyer Rocco Galati. “There is no magic wand, the only thing that’s going to get us out of this tyranny is if every individual ensures their liberties.”

According to Galati, who is leading a lawsuit against the Canadian goverment and various public health officials over the implementation of “illegal” COVID-19 measures, vaccine mandates violate each Canadian’s protected rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Specifically, Galati mentioned that under Section 2, Section 7, and Section 15, each Canadian can lawfully assert their right to life, liberty and security of the person, freedom of religion, and protection regarding equality before the law and equal protection of the law without discrimination. This includes being protected against discrimination based on vaccination status, as vaccines are voluntary in Canada, Galati argued.

“I have a constitutional right to not have a medical treatment forced on me,” said Galati in an August press conference. “Who decides [what medical treatments you have to take] you or the state? It has got to be you or else we’re back to Nazi Germany.”

Canadian doctors spoke about their firsthand witness to COVID vaccine injuries at a silent protest in Alberta’s capital.

Around 2,000 people gathered in silent protest against COVID jab mandates in Alberta’s capital of Edmonton on Sunday at a rally preceded by testimony from doctors who spoke about the ill effects they have witnessed from the injections.

“In my practice, you know, lately I’ve seen many people injured by vaccines. It is really sad, you see these people there they come, visit you regularly and they’re just doing their duty for the government, you know, and they’re just following orders and they come in and they get injured and it’s sad,” Alberta physician Dr. Chris Gordillo said at the Silent Protest for Albertans Against Vaccine Mandates.

“I’ve seen strokes, I’ve seen Bell’s palsy, I’ve seen a heart attack, blood clots, I’ve seen breathing disorders where people just cannot breathe after they’ve had these vaccines. I’ve seen people with autoimmune disease where it’s acted up afterwards. It’s just insane. And, you know, I think more of us need to speak up.”

Gordillo practices family medicine in nearby Spruce Grove, Alberta, and is one of many doctors opposed to COVID vaccine mandates being imposed at the hands of Alberta Health Services (AHS).

AHS recently announced that they will extend until November 30 a mandate that all of its workers be fully vaccinated with the COVID shots.  Once the mandate takes effect, it will impact thousands of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers.

Gordillo called out government COVID jab mandates as “tyranny” and said he has had patients “crying in my office because they have to decide whether to get this jab or whether to keep their job.”

“And it’s so sad because, you know, if you’re getting a vaccine not for your health but for your job, that’s a sign of tyranny,” Gordillo said.

Speaking at the silent protest along with Gordillo were a concerned parent, a nurse, a firefighter, a pastor, and a first nations elder.

Joining the other speakers was Dr. Daniel Nagase, who was recently blacklisted by Alberta Health Services for treating his COVID patients with ivermectin.

Along with Gordillo, the other speakers all spoke out against COVID jab mandates and blasted a recent deal by the federal government signed with Pfizer for 2.9 million doses of the COVID shot for kids age 5 to 11. Continue…

Newly-appointed Minister of Canadian Heritage Pablo Rodriguez promised on Tuesday to rush the controversial anti-internet freedom law Bill C-10 back into parliament at the soonest opportunity.

Earlier this year, the bill died in the Senate before the end of the last parliamentary session. Now that the Liberals have a minority government, they want to make regulating the internet a top priority.

“We promised to bring in some bills very quickly. C-10 is one of them,” said Rodriguez after being sworn in.

“We made many promises to table important bills in the first 100 days and that includes the broadcasting bill. We need that bill. We have to modernize it.”

The law, which proposes to update Canada’s Broadcasting Act to meet the current digital media landscape, has been cited by many experts as a threat to Canadians’ right to freedom of expression.

When debating the law, the Liberals removed an amendment to the bill which effectively served to protect user-generated content from Canadian Radio-Television Commission (CRTC) oversight.

Some critics of the bill argued that removing the amendment effectively placed the content ordinary Canadians posted online under government control.

Several former CRTC commissioners have already strongly come out against the bill. In May, both CRTC ex-chair Konrad von Finckenstein and former CRTC commissioner Timothy Denton signed a petition which labelled the bill as “authoritarian.”

“It appears Canada is not immune to the growing trend of government intervention to curtail freedom and seek to control parts of the internet’s infrastructure in ways reminiscent of actions taken by authoritarian governments,” wrote the petition.

“We are Canadian internet policy and technical professionals writing as concerned experts and on behalf of all those who care about the future of a free and open internet.”

In response to criticism, former Canadian Heritage minister Steven Guilbeault referred to those who opposed the law as “extremists”.

Active and retired members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) joined together to say they cannot “willingly participate in enforcing” COVID jab mandates. They have asked their boss to investigate government officials’ role in coming up with draconian virus rules.

“Requiring mandatory COVID-19 treatment options is a slippery slope and allows the government to overstep its authority unchecked. It infringes on the fundamental belief in our society that the individual has the right and freedom to choose. The choice of whether to receive medical treatments has always been an individual’s right in Canada,” says the group called Mounties for Freedom in an open letter dated October 21 sent to RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki.

“Dear Commissioner Brenda Lucki: We respectfully submit this open letter to express our most sincere concerns and resolute stand against the forced coercive medical intervention of Canadians, and against the undue discrimination experienced by those exercising their lawful right to bodily autonomy.”

Mounties for Freedom say they are not “against vaccinations,” but as law enforcement officers, “we cannot in good conscience willingly participate in enforcing mandates that we believe go against the best interests of the people we protect.”

The group’s open letter at the time of this writing lists 51,974 signatures, gaining nearly 10,000 signatures in one day.

The letter is available to be signed by active and retired members of the RCMP, along with doctors, nurses, military, firefighters, other first responders, and supportive community members.

In early October, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau announced draconian and unprecedented COVID-19 jab mandates for all federal workers, and said the un-jabbed will no longer be able to travel by air, boat, or train.

Along with mandating all federal workers be jabbed, Trudeau said that all federally regulated industries such as airlines, and marine transportation, would also have to mandate COVID injections.

Mounties for Freedom say they created the letter from the “collective thoughts, beliefs, and opinions of actively serving police officers of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) from across the country.”

“Together we are the Mounties for Freedom. We are individual police officers who united in the belief that citizens, including federal employees, should not be forced and coerced into taking a medical intervention,” reads the group’s page.

Canada should take the lead in processing rare earth minerals as its allies seek to spread their supply chains out in order to avoid over-reliance on exports from authoritarian countries like China, said a panel of experts.

While China holds the lion’s share in providing for the global market of critical minerals and rare earths, it does not share the same environmental and labour standards as the western world, noted experts at a virtual panel discussion hosted by Macdonald-Laurier Institute (MLI) on Oct. 22.

“China has the market on 80 percent of the processing of critical minerals and rare earths, so the whole world is beholden to China. Our supply chains are completely beholden to China,” said Maryscott Greenwood, CEO for the Canadian-American Business Council, in a pre-recorded video for the panel.

Greenwood said Canada has the expertise to mine in an environmentally responsible way, along with the manpower and infrastructure, to process and export critical minerals essential for the defence sector, electric vehicle batteries, solar panels and smartphones.

“What if Canada became the world headquarters of processing of these critical minerals and rare earths that you can dig up anywhere but what if they’re all sent to Canada to process?” Greenwood said, noting several provinces such as Alberta and Quebec have shown interest in developing processing facilities.

The panel discussion also featured experts including Dirk Naumann, the president and CEO of Torngat Metals, Heather Exner-Pirot, a MLI fellow who specializes in natural resources, and Dwayne Menezes, the founder and managing director of Polar Research and Policy Initiative. The moderator was Ken Coates, a Munk Senior Fellow at the MLI.

Some parents are up in arms over a new curriculum circulating in Alberta elementary and middle schools that teaches about COVID-19, vaccinations, and social responsibility in a pandemic.

The booklet, titled Riding The Fourth Wave, covers a wide range of information on COVID-19 including topics with heading such as “How Vaccines Work,” “Pandemic of the Unvaccinated,” “An Unusual Passport” and “Protests and Controversy.”

“The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) is responsible for delivering the Alberta Program of Studies as set by Alberta Education. However, schools may provide information to students and have discussions in class on current events and topics occurring in their community, as appropriate.‎ Our teachers have the flexibility to use a variety of resources to meet the outcomes of the programs of study, and encourage critical thinking by students,” said the CBE in a statement to the Western Standard.

The workbook also includes a series of questions to complete once the information has been read as well as a cartoon with the headings “Science” and “Fiction” that points to an article on Forbes.com as a source to help children learn how to spot misinformation.

“Find out more about the false and dangerous misinformation spreading online that COVID-19 can be treated with substances like bleach and horse de-wormer,” the curriculum reads.

The horse de-wormer references an anti-parasitic medication for both humans and animals — prescribed in different forms — that has come under fire and is currently banned in Canada and the U.S. as a treatment for COVID-19. Several of Canada’s largest legacy media companies failed to reveal nearly $2 million worth of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals funding that a leading pediatrics professor from Alberta has received while pushing for vaccination of 5-11-year-olds.

Dr. Jim Kellner, a pediatrician and University of Calgary professor, has been cited as an authority in dozens of articles published by CTV News, CBC, Global News, the Toronto Star, and the Globe and Mail on vaccinating children and other pandemic related issues.

Since 2014, Kellner’s research has received $1,940,443 from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for various vaccine studies, with the most recent grant of $787,004 being allocated until the year 2022.

Kellner’s research funding was not disclosed by the above outlets in numerous articles going back to 2020 despite it being publicly reported in his CV, which is published on the University of Calgary’s website.

According to his CV, the latest spate of funding is for “Calgary Area Streptococcus pneumoniae Epidemiology Research” and a “Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine.”

In 2009 a grant of $60,000 flowed from Tides to Equiterre for the Tar Sands campaign.

In 2011, another $50,000 grant from Tides was directed to Equiterre for "research education, and outreach on climate/tarsands related issues."

FDO records also show another Tides grant in 2012 for $45,000.

The extent of anti-oilsands activism bankrolled by foreign-funded actors, included Tides and their Canadian proxies, was recently examined in the Alberta Inquiry which was able to trace nearly $1.3 billion in a sophisticated de-marketing campaign against Alberta oil and gas.

San Francisco's Tides Foundation was not the only foreign funder to Equiterre while Guibeault was at the helm.

In 2011, Equiterre was granted $80,000 from the Alcoa Foundation in Pennsylvania for the "Green Hub project."

In 2006, a $75,000 grant from the Kresge Foundation, based in Michigan, for "planning associated with designing green building" hit the Equiterre coffers.

Guilbeault stepped down as senior director of Equiterre in 2018, after founding the organization in 1995, to run for the Liberals. He was elected in 2019 after famously collecting 90,000 signatures to block the construction of the Transmountain pipeline. The Trudeau government purchased the embattled pipeline from Kindermorgan in 2019 for $4.5 billion.

The decision was announced by Quebec’s Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) on Wednesday. The MSSS said the decision was based on a recommendation from the Public Health Department and on three observations: the improvement of the epidemiological situation in Quebec, the fact that children are less affected by the disease, and the fact that school clusters are easily controlled.

“The consequences of COVID-19 among children are less serious and the school clusters are well managed,” wrote the MSSS in a Wednesday morning press release.

The statement also invoked the high vaccination rates among students age 12-17 as well as among teachers and school staffs.

Ninety-one percent of teachers and staff in preschools, primary schools and secondary schools, both in public and private schools, have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, and 89% have received two doses.

As for universities, 92% of staff are said to be “adequately protected.”

The MSSS also recalled that several measures, including regular rapid COVID testing, have been put in place in schools since the beginning of the pandemic to “efficiently control clusters” and “close classrooms” when necessary.

The decision was welcomed by the Fédération autonome de l’enseignement (FAE), a grouping of nine teachers’ unions with more than 50,000 members.

“It’s a wise decision,” said Sylvain Malette, president of the FAE.

OTTAWA—Friday is the deadline for employees in the core federal public service to declare their COVID−19 vaccination status, but unions say there are still many questions about how requests for accommodations will be handled.

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat says 240,000 employees have filed their attestations of their vaccine status to the government, out of approximately 268,000.

Chris Aylward, president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, says there is a big hole in the policy when it comes to deciding if unvaccinated people should be accommodated under the Canadian Human Rights Act.

He says unions are very concerned that it is left up to individual managers to determine if employee’s religious or conscience convictions about vaccines are valid.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said exemptions will be difficult and onerous to obtain, and simply having a personal conviction that vaccines are “bad” will not be sufficient.

Unvaccinated employees who have not been offered some kind of accommodation will be put on unpaid leave as of Nov. 15, and the government said previously those employees will not qualify for employment insurance benefits.

A convoy of Canadian mining company Iamgold employees was attacked in West Africa on Friday, Reuters reports, citing two security sources.

Multiple vehicles carrying Iamgold employees came under attack while heading to the company's Essakane Mine, located in north-eastern Burkina Faso, West Africa.

A security source told Reuters that four employees were missing following the attack. A second source said the employees couldn't be reached, and no deaths have yet to be confirmed.

Islamist militants are suspected to be behind the attack - and such an attack in the area near the Mali and Niger border has happened before.

This isn't the first time Iamgold convoy was attacked. In September, one police officer was wounded and caused the company to suspend convoys temporarily.

Iamgold manages the Essakane project following the acquisition of Orezone Resources in 2009. Essakane began commercial production in 2010 and produced about 364,000 ounces of gold in 2020, more than half the miner's overall production.

Reuters noted a spokesperson for the company declined to comment on the ongoing situation but said a statement would be released later.

There are no additional reports if the attack will impact production. Islamist attacks are becoming increasingly common across the region. The country faces a security crisis, as armed terror groups carry out raids and kidnappings across the region.

The Liberal government is refusing to raise the Canadian flag on Remembrance Day so that it can be ceremonially lowered to half-mast as tradition dictates.

Despite appeals from Conservative leader Erin O’Toole and others, the Department of Canadian Heritage says the flag will remain in place for the foreseeable future, unless directed otherwise by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“All Canadians are horrified by the reminders in Kamloops and Cowessess and we have deep grief and a drive to reconciliation,” said O’Toole.

“I think the flag should be restored by that time and the prime minister has provided no direction here.”

Canada’s flag has been flying at half-mast at federal buildings, including Parliament Hill’s Peace Tower, since May 30, when Trudeau issued the order after the announcement of unmarked graves at former residential school sites.

“If a half-masting notice is already in effect for federal buildings and establishments when another half-masting notice — whether mandatory or discretionary — is issued, no action in relation to the national flag of Canada is required,” Canadian Heritage officials told the Canadian Press.

Trudeau also declined to raise the flag for Canada Day, even though flag protocol dictates that Canadian flags should never be at half-mast on July 1.

On Canada Day, Trudeau asked that the flag remain at half-mast for Canada Day.

“Many seniors admit to being skeptical about this budget,” said a researchers’ report, adding: “Half said the country was headed in the wrong direction.”

“I really have no confidence this is sustainable,” the report quoted one pensioner.

“The government must have a money tree someplace,” said another.

Seniors suspected Freeland was “tossing numbers and large sums out there,” said the report.

The budget speech fared poorest with seniors and parents, and better with young people under 34.

“In the words of many participants it would be difficult to be negative about this budget that included elements to ‘satisfy everyone in Canada,’” wrote Leger.

Pensioners were most alarmed by deficit spending.

“This group is somewhat uneasy about the level of spending and how it gets reconciled in the future. There was a feeling it was legitimate to raise questions of spending.”

Freeland in her budget disclosed the 2020 deficit reached $354.2 billion, six times the previous record and more than Parliament spent in the Second World War. This year’s deficit was estimated at $154.7 billion.

Seniors were put off by “the section of the speech where Freeland challenged those who would criticize spending at this time, which characterized those who would do so as being ‘uncaring about some people who lost their job’ or ‘uncaring about struggling small businesses,’” wrote researchers.

Pensioners were skeptical about “how these expenditures will be paid for,” they wrote.

Findings were based on focus groups in which 32 people were given handheld dials to instantly record real-time reaction to the budget speech from zero to 100 as “negative,” “lukewarm” or “positive.”

On Wednesday October 27, Ontario health minister Christine Elliot announced that Ontario schools will likely open COVID-19 vaccination clinics to inject 5- to 11-year-old children with the experimental shots once the vaccines are “approved” by Health Canada. Elliot also mentioned that an information campaign will be deployed as a necessary tool to encourage children to get jabbed, as recommended by the province’s table of experts.

According to Elliot, the clinics will probably be open after school hours as “most parents would want to be with their child [while they are getting the jab].”

“Some of [the clinics] may be on weekends or in the evenings because I think a lot of parents — if you’re speaking about vaccinating a five-year-old — most parents would want to be with their child,” stated the minister.

The provincial health minister cited the government’s history of encouraging everyone eligible to take the COVID inoculations and indicated that jabbing children was a natural development.

“We have, since the beginning, encouraged everyone who was able to receive the vaccine to do so, and we’re continuing that message with children aged 5 to 11 once the vaccine does become available, and is … approved by Health Canada,” Elliot said.

“That doesn’t deviate from our message at all. We want everyone who can receive the vaccine to do so.”

Despite “approval” from Health Canada and America’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA), all the currently available COVID-19 so-called vaccines are experimental, with clinical trials not set to be completed until 2023.

In addition to being experimental, the COVID-19 vaccines have been linked to thousands of deaths and millions of injuries worldwide, with young people being particularly susceptible to cardiac-related adverse effects.

In a quietly released report by Public Health Ontario in September, 341 cases of the potentially fatal heart disorders myocarditis and pericarditis were reported as adverse reactions to the shots between December 2020 and August 2021, with 204 cases meeting the “case definition levels of diagnostic certainty” to qualify as vaccine-induced myocarditis and pericarditis.

TPAs back candidates for city councils and school boards with advertising campaigns, social media mobilization and door-to-door organization. While they don’t select candidates for municipal elections and cannot coordinate with them, they provide well-financed, centralized and professional political support to candidates – political parties in all but name.

And while a few businesses and independent voters dipped their toes into the year’s municipal campaigns with their own TPAs, the unions representing Calgary’s municipal workers seized the opportunity with gusto.

Calgarians for a Progressive Future, the main third-party advertiser backed by the unions of City Hall and Calgary Transit, promoted a slate of candidates including Jyoti Gondek, the city’s new mayor.

Funding increased pay rates and staffing levels for the City’s unionized works means future property tax increases, increases that will not do much to attract investment to the City and its endangered downtown core.

More than 4,000 medical personnel who refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccines are on leave.

The provincial government of British Columbia acknowledged that it created a medical staffing shortage after placing more than 4,000 healthcare professionals on leave because they chose not to get the COVID jabs.

Health Minister Adrian Dix made the announcement last Tuesday, saying thousands of surgeries have been postponed as a result of placing so many workers on leave.

“I think it’s fair to say that in some areas, for example, diagnostic imaging, our labs in different parts of the province, there’ll be some impact,” Dix said.

Dix also acknowledged that placing so many workers on leave at once has caused surgery delays and reduced hours at some clinics and hospitals.

“We’ll either have to initially reduce hours in order to address that or provide other staff in the weeks to come,” Dix said.

The British Columbia Nurses Union (BCNU) had earlier warned the government it would have a crisis on its hands if it let go of so many staff at once.

In September, BCNU warned that government COVID jab mandates for healthcare workers will “force members” to leave and further exacerbate already existing staff shortages in the province.

Dix said the un-jabbed workers have until November 15 to get at a first dose of the jab or they will be permanently fired.

According to the government, there are around 126,000 public health workers in the province.

The staff firings come as a result of a jab mandate by British Columbia Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Dix, who said all healthcare workers had to have COVID jabs by October 26.

Thousands of Canadian aviation professionals were put on leave without pay Monday for not complying with industry-wide forced COVID-19 vaccinations.

The group, Free to Fly, a hub for Canadian airline professionals and travellers against the COVID-19 mandates, was started in April by two Canadian airline professionals.

“Yesterday, thousands of pilots, flight attendants and other Free to Fly aviation professionals were forced into unemployment,” said the group in a statement released to the Western Standard.

“They have been deemed unwelcome by employers they served safely and faithfully for decades, after insisting on their right to informed consent and health freedom. These men and women are exchanging current comfort and security to bravely stand for the future freedom of this once great nation.”

“Flying has been my dream since I was five years old,” said Matt in an interview.

Matt said membership for Free to Fly has been growing daily and sits just under 40,000.

“We are working to create a coordinated, coherent media message to up our presence. The goal is to recruit enough people that our force is felt economically,” said Matt.

Matt also said the group is working closely with lawyers who have a “proven track record for working on cases like this.”

“We plan to share stories from passengers and some of our airline professionals to show how people are suffering greatly with these new restrictions on travel,” said Matt.

Free to Fly has updated its website with a video that explains why tens of thousands of airline professionals would “give up lifestyle, financial security and, for some, a life-long dream career,” the statement reads.

“For things to go back to a free and fair society, we all have to give something up. But the longer we wait to stand up, the more we will all have to give up,” said Matt who encourages travellers and industry professionals to sign up on the Free to Fly website.

In the meantime, Matt said he and his wife plan to start a business together to support their family.

Monday, WestJet implemented the federal government’s mandatory vaccination policy for air travellers and put about 300 employees on leave without pay for not complying with the company’s vaccine mandate deadline.

“The implementation of these policies mark a major confidence milestone for our industry as Canadians can fly knowing that they are travelling within a fully-vaccinated ecosystem,” said Ed Sims, WestJet Group president and CEO in a statement.

“We are taking all necessary steps to ensure our guests are advised of the new requirements for travel prior to taking their next flight.”

According to the WestJet statement:

For Phase I, for travel between October 30 and November 29, 2021, in order to travel with The WestJet Group, guests must prepare to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a valid PCR test to demonstrate the requirements for travel.

For Phase II, for travel on or after Nov. 30, 2021, only proof of vaccination for guests 12 years or older, with narrow exceptions, will be acceptable for travel on the WestJet Group.

Roughly 96% of all WestJet staff are fully vaccinated.

“The primary focus for the provinces will be to make sure those high risk populations and high risk settings are protected,” she said.

“As more and more groups are being told to get a third shot do you foresee that becoming the new definition of fully vaccinated?” asked a reporter.

“We are not currently considering the need for the additional shot or booster for the definition of fully vaccinated for the purpose of federal requirements at this time, but of course we will keep reviewing the evidence,” replied Tam.

The Committee on Immunization in a report said booster shots should occur within six months of full vaccination.

“The intent of a booster dose is to restore protection that may have decreased over time to a level that is no longer deemed sufficient in individuals who initially responded adequately to a complete primary vaccine series,” wrote the Committee.

“At present there is scientific debate about whether a third dose for COVID-19 vaccines truly constitutes a booster dose in the traditional sense,” said the report.

Dr. Tam said there was no data suggesting most Canadians already vaccinated require a booster shot.

Currently, 84% of eligible Canadians are fully vaccinated, according to the Public Health Agency. The rate of full vaccination is increasing by an average of more than 300,000 people per week.

Canadian taxpayers had to foot nearly $1.3 billion in COVID-19 furloughs in the form of leaves of absences for federal employees.

According to the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO), the total cost amounted to $1,269,900,000.

“The Treasury Board was unable to provide actual personnel expenditures,” wrote the PBO.

“Leave was likely under-reported by many organizations .Indeed, in each subsequent data update provided by the Treasury Board there was an increase in the number of hours previously reported.”

When broken down, it cost taxpayers $481 per employee per day when counting wages and benefits. Overall employees received an average $9,547 in furloughs.

As reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, at the beginning of the pandemic, the Treasury Board allowed federal managers to grant paid leave to employees, even if they were in “good health.”

Among the reasons cited include parenting, not being able to work from home or living with someone at “high risk of severe illness.”

“We’ve made sure to take care of our employees since the start of the pandemic,” said assistant deputy minister of the Treasury Board Sandra Hassan on November 4, 201.

“At the beginning of the pandemic we sent everyone home to comply with public health directives and to ensure the safety of our employees and communities.”

Among the departments with the highest amount in furloughs include the Canada Revenue Agency, Correctional Service, the Department of National Defence and the Department of Employment, among others.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Secretary to the Governor-General, granted the highest amount of unpaid leave with 1,016 hours or 6 months clocked by some employees.

“The Office of the Governor General’s Secretary is somewhat of an outlier,” wrote the PBO.

By the Thursday and Friday my chest felt as though someone was sitting on it and I couldn’t even run in small stints with the dog, Friday night I had crushing pain in my chest and my left arm went numb. I decided to ride the pain out as I didn’t want to “burden the healthcare system” but by Saturday and Sunday I was having stabbing pains in the centre of my chest every 2 minutes for hours. My back felt terrible too, right where my lungs sit and monday morning I woke up to stabbing, throbbing pains in my heart.

I finally decided to go to the hospital and whilst I sat there after I’d been triaged 10 people came in in the space of around 20 minutes and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM had the exact same symptoms as me and all had had doses of Pfizer. I could hear each conversation crystal clear so I’m just relaying what I heard. One guy had been in two weeks ago after his first jab and had been referred to a cardiologist and was back again with the same pains in his chest he was 20!

Now let be clear, this is a vaccine I did not want.

But having spent a massive chunk of my life savings just living during these 260 days of lockdown and being told I wouldn’t be able to work, be a part of society and just live without being bullied, segregated and discriminated against, I caved. Now As I’m writing this I have stabbing pains in my heart and left side of my boob as well as the centre of my chest. I’m shaking with heart palpitations and feel exhausted. The doctor told me that I had had a reaction to the vaccine and many people have come in with the exact same symptoms as mine having had Pfizer but 98-99% were usually ok and that a lot of side effects are coming out as it is a “new vaccine in the very early stages”.

I was sent home after extensive testing and told to rest and take Panadol. Today the pain has moved to the left side of my boob and mainly around my heart. I went for a walk in the fresh air today and felt totally drained after.

Life right now is really quite difficult and I am quite scared!

In the space of 8 days I went from being super fit and healthy, non smoker, non drinker extremely active to daily heart and lung pain which ranges from crushing pain to stabbing, and the most extreme fatigue I’ve ever felt because I went against everything I believe in to stop people in society shunning and judging me.

Please think again before you attack someone’s choices. If someone has vaccine hesitancy then don’t berate them. The risks of vaccine Injury are real and the numbers of adverse reactions are probably way higher than we know.

All because you were ok after your jabs, doesn’t mean others will be! Let’s hope I feel better soon.

But nobody can tell me that because there is not one shred of data to say how this ends for me!”

A prominent Ontario politician urged the provincial police commissioner to investigate the rash of deaths among young people following COVID shots.

On October 22, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Randy Hillier, an Independent representing the Ontario riding of Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston, wrote a letter to Commissioner Thomas Carrique requesting an investigation to look into the “sudden” and “unexplained” deaths of a series of four young Ontarians who died shortly after receiving the experimental COVID-19 injections.

“I am obligated to bring to your attention a series of tragic deaths and injuries of otherwise healthy individuals throughout the province of Ontario that have occurred under questionable circumstances in recent months,” the letter opened.

“These tragedies have a common thread of being sudden in nature, in individuals as young as 14 years old, a demographic that ought not to be experiencing such sudden deaths. The increasing prevalence of these deaths is cause for great concern, that may merit further investigation on the grounds of criminal negligence and culpable homicide,” continued Hillier.

Hillier’s letter makes mention of four young deaths in the province that have been widely publicized in recent months: A 17-year-old boy in Beeton, Ontario, a senior at Queen’s University in Kingston, an 18-year-old Queen’s freshman, and a 25-year-old football player and engineering student at the University of Ottawa.

Both Queen’s University and the University of Ottawa mandate that all staff and students be “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 in order to be present on campus, while the 17-year-old boy from Beeton reportedly only received the jab because it was mandated to play hockey in his local town arena.

Hillier went on to reference the Criminal Code of Canada, which defines criminal negligence as “doing anything” or “omitting to do anything that is his duty to do” that shows a “reckless disregard for the lives or safety of other persons.”

“To knowingly continue to allow unexplained deaths without investigation is nothing short of criminal negligence by omission and deception. It is becoming increasingly clear that these vaccine products are neither as safe nor effective as advertised by governments and the media, nor were they necessary,” wrote the MPP.

“I am calling on you, Commissioner Carrique, the Ontario Provincial Police, and local law enforcement agencies to begin immediate criminal investigations to determine the facts of these and other unexplained tragic deaths of questionable nature and determine if the administration of a pharmaceutical product was either a contributing factor or cause of death and injury,” he added.

In addition to the law, Hillier mentioned the known adverse reactions caused from the jab, including the increased risk of heart inflammation conditions such as myocarditis and pericarditis, particularly in young people. Continue…

Physicians from the Canadian province of Alberta claim their government’s data show COVID jabs cause short-term jumps in cases counts, deaths, and hospitalizations possibly because the “vaccine is causing immunosuppression.”

Dr. Christy Reich, who works as a family doctor, said she shared graphs compiled from Alberta Health Services (AHS) information with a group of doctors who are concerned with jab mandates and safety.

Together, they determined the graphs “were showing an initial spike in COVID cases, hospitalizations and deaths within the first two to three weeks of receiving the first dose of the (COVID-19) vaccination.”

“After the second dose, you see a small initial increase in cases but then an elevation in cases again in two to six months,” said Reich, according to a Western Standard report.

Reich said all members of the doctors’ group came to the “same conclusion” after comparing notes regarding the graphs, which can be viewed on the Alberta government’s COVID statistics page.

Graphs that the doctors discussed were titled “Number of days between first immunization date and COVID-19 diagnosis.”

There was one each for “Total Cases,” “Total Hospitalizations,” and “Total Deaths.” The doctors say all three appear to show a large spike in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths between one to 30 days after a person’s COVID injection dates.

According to the Western Standard, a specialist from the doctors’ group whose name was withheld said directly that the government’s data seem to “show us that vaccines are contributing to a rise in cases, hospitalizations and deaths.”

The specialist added that they are also seeing “other diseases and illnesses that have been in remission come back.”

The specialist said it’s as if the “vaccine is causing immunosuppression.”

“The body is expending so many resources fighting the spike protein (from the COVID-19 vaccine) that the body can’t hold off these other infections or diseases that were in remission,” the specialist said. Continue…

Canada will at some point boost target for carbon emissions cuts -Trudeau

Polls consistently show the environment is among Canadians' top concerns and Trudeau has made climate change a priority since taking power in 2015.

After failing to win a parliamentary majority in a September election, Liberal officials said some progressive voters had been disappointed in the government's green record.

In September Trudeau pledged to immediately cap emissions from the oil and gas sector, which is responsible for 26% of national emissions, and require lower emissions in five-year intervals, starting in 2025.

Trudeau also said he was confident the world could limit the rise in temperature to 1.5 C above pre-industrial levels and avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

"One of the things we recognize is that we're going to need to be continuing to push our levels of ambition … pushing on the development of new solutions, of technologies, of new ways of growing our economy," he told reporters in Glasgow.

"These are the things we need to do. So yes, I am confident we're going to be able to stay on that track to 1.5 (degrees)."

New Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault is also in attendance and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke to the delegates

“Canada has taken steps to ensure diverse perspectives are reflected in international forums,” said Samantha Bayard, spokeswoman for the department.

McKenna’s name is not on Canada’s official delegate list though she attended meetings of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change. McKenna did not seek re-election September 20. Bayard didn’t say whether or not she travelled on her own dime.

A total 39,509 people from countries around the world registered for the Glasgow conference, including 3,800 media and 14,000 observers. The meeting continues until November 12.

Canada’s delegation included Guilbeault, Deputy Environment Minister Thelma Hogan, Assistant Deputy Minister Catherine Stewart, Climate Change Ambassador Patricia Fuller, Climate Change Director Joanna Dafoe and 25 advisors and negotiators with the department.

Other Canadians in attendance included the prime minister’s official photographer, official videographer and lead speechwriter, 17 press secretaries and communications directors, four CBC reporters and the entire Green Party caucus comprised of two MPs.

A delegation half the size at a 2019 UN climate conference in Madrid cost $683,278 according to a report tabled in the Commons. Expenses for air fare, taxis and chauffeured cars for the 144 Canadian delegates were $178,282.

“A number of invoices and claims have yet to be processed,” said the report.

Costs billed by the Canadian delegation in Spain included $93,439 for meals, another $228,881 for hotels and $21,080 billed as “hospitality.”

The report did not detail liquor expenses.

Then-Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson in a December 10, 2019 speech at the conference called for “deeper emission reductions” in greenhouse gases.

“Climate change is a defining issue of our time and the main reason why I entered politics,” said Wilkinson.

“We know we must increase our ambition. Canada is committed to working with you to advance momentum on climate action.”

Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg in a speech at the Madrid conference urged delegates to use dramatic language to illustrate the impact of climate change.

“When you talk in public you should start with something personal or emotional to get everyone’s attention. Say things like, ‘Our house is on fire,’ ‘I want you to panic’ or ‘How dare you?’” said Thunberg.

“Without that sense of urgency, how can we the people understand that we are facing a real crisis? If the people are not fully aware of what is going on, then they will not put pressure on the people in power to act.”

Ontario medical regulator initiates legal action against doctors opposed to COVID-19 vaccines

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) has filed claims against four doctors who are publicly opposed to COVID-19 vaccines with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, according to a statement emailed to True North on Wednesday.

The CPSO said in the statement that they are seeking to compel Dr. Celeste Jean Thirlwell, Dr. Mary Elizabeth O’Connor, Dr. Mark Raymond Trozzi and Dr. Rochagne Kilian to comply with ongoing investigations into their practices, including their issuance of medical exemptions for COVID-19 vaccines and testing.

“In all four cases, the court filings indicate that their respective investigations were commenced following receipt of information, which includes copies of inappropriately issued exemptions,” said the CPSO.

Dr. Thirlwell, a psychiatrist at the Centre for Sleep and Chronobiology, is alleged to have stated through her lawyer that if CPSO investigators attempt to obtain records from her office, “it will be resisted physically, by private security.” Dr.Thirlwell has taken the position that the college lacks “jurisdiction to police” medical exemptions.

Dr. O’Connor, a family doctor from Ottawa, allegedly obstructed an investigation by refusing to provide medical records and patient information requested by the CPSO. Dr. O’Connor says she “will not be able to move forward without [the College’s] precise definition of COVID-19.”

Dr. Trozzi, a family doctor from Harrow, Ont., believes the college does not have a “legal basis” to request patient lists and charts. Dr. Trozzi said “an Ontario doctor is free to provide medical exemptions relating to COVID-19 vaccinations as he or she sees fit.”

Dr. Kilian, a former emergency room doctor from Owen Sound, Ont., was sent a notice because the college has received confirmation that she provides vaccine exemptions through Enable Air, a website facilitating the purchase of them. Dr. Kilian has taken the position that the college does not have jurisdiction to request patient lists and charts.

Canada sent most delegates to COP26 out of G7 nations

The Canadian government sent more delegates than any other G7 nation to the ongoing COP26 conference, including the summit’s host state, the UK.

True North relied on a provisional list of registered participants published by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to achieve the count.

According to the UNFCCC document, Canada sent 276 delegates to COP26 including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself, numerous federal ministers, several provincial premiers and dozens of federal staff and media.

The number of delegates sent by Canada outnumbered even the amount of people sent to attend by the conference’s host state, the UK.

In total, the UK sent the second-highest number of delegates numbering in at 227 attendees.

The UK was followed by Japan who sent 225 delegates, while France sent 195 officials to attend. The US came in fifth place with 133 delegates sent.

Meanwhile, Germany came second last with 120 delegates sent, followed by 66 attendees sent to COP26 by Italy.

As first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, the Department of Environment has refused to reveal the cost of the diplomatic trip.

Among those listed as being part of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s entourage was his own personal videographer, photographer, speechwriter and a media team of 17 made up of press secretaries and communications directors.

A number of reporters from CBC News, CTV, Global News and other outlets also attended.

Additionally, it is unclear whether taxpayers footed the bill of former environment minister Catherine McKenna, who was spotted at the conference but whose name does not make it into the official COP26 roll call.

An estimated 30,000 delegates have been sent by nations and organizations around the world to the two week event. According to local outlet Sunday Mail, delegates boarded over 400 private jets to attend, contributing an estimated 13,000 tonnes of CO2 pollution into the environment.

The alleged problems with a major clinical trial examining Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine trial are being probed, a contract company involved in the research has confirmed.

Ventavia Research Group operated several of the trial sites in the fall of 2020. Brook Jackson worked for the company during this time. She told the British Medical Journal (BMJ) that the trial was riddled with issues, including the falsification of data.

Jackson said she alerted the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to the problems she witnessed and was fired within hours of doing so.

Ventavia confirmed to The Epoch Times that it employed Jackson for two weeks last year.

Lauren Foreman, director of business development and communications, said in an email that Ventavia is investigating the allegations from Jackson.

“Ventavia takes research compliance, data integrity, and participant safety very seriously and stands behind its important work supporting the development of lifesaving vaccines and is conducting its investigation accordingly,” she said.

The FDA appeared to confirm it was aware of the matter.

“Although the agency cannot comment further at this time in this ongoing matter, FDA has full confidence in the data that were used to support the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine authorization and the Comirnaty approval,” a spokeswoman told The Epoch Times in an email.

Ventavia worked on the trial that led to emergency use authorization (EUA) for Pfizer’s jab. The FDA later approved the shot, though many or all of the doses being administered in the United States continue to be the EUA-version.

Pfizer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Jackson, who worked with clinical trials for over 15 years, told the BMJ she repeatedly raised concerns with her superiors about what she was witnessing, including patient safety concerns. She began to feel her reports were being ignored and began taking photographs using her phone. One photograph apparently showed that needles were discarded in a plastic bag instead of a box, while another was said to have showed packaging materials that revealed trial participants’ identification numbers, signaling they may have been unblinded.

Jackson listed 12 concerns she had in a Sept. 25 message to the FDA, including participants not being monitored after receiving an injection and vaccines not being stored at proper temperatures. She also alleged that Ventavia staff members were targeted by higher-ups for reporting problems.

Jackson said the FDA sent her an email acknowledging receipt of the list and she received a call from an FDA inspector, but has heard nothing from the agency since then.

The Epoch Times has submitted a Freedom of Information Act request concerning Jackson’s email to the FDA and internal communications from the agency regarding the message.

The FDA said in August it inspected nine of the trial’s 153 sites. None of Ventavia’s sites were inspected.

The inspections were limited “because the study was ongoing, and the data required for verification and comparison were not yet available to the IND [investigational new drug],” an FDA officer wrote in a summary of the inspections.

Some pharmaceutical companies have seen inspections waived or FDA officials deciding to conduct an inspection remotely, Philip Crooker, technical vice president of Paraexel, told a forum in December 2020. Inspections of domestic sites plunged from 13,001 in 2019 to 6,574 in 2020, according to FDA data.

Family of special needs daughter mulls lawsuit after she was given COVID shot without their consent

The 18-year-old is showing signs of health issues from the injection.

A Canadian family is looking into suing a rural Alberta college and pharmacy because their 18-year-old special needs daughter was jabbed with the COVID vaccine without their permission. Their daughter is now exhibiting ill effects from the injection say her parents.

According to a Western Standard report, Ryan Gassner said his daughter was jabbed at a local pharmacy at the urging of the school staff in late September. This was due to her being denied access to the school unless she was jabbed.

The family recently sent a legal warning letter to Olds College located in central Alberta and Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd, with the help of a local lawyer, saying their daughter was “compelled under duress to take a COVID-19 vaccination against her will.”

According to the legal letter, the college and pharmacy’s actions amount to “negligent and reckless battery” and could potentially be deemed a type of criminal assault.

The family wants an apology from the college along with “assurances they will take guardianship seriously in the future for us and for other students in the same situation.”

They are also demanding that the school provide them with a written assurance that no healthcare decision will be made for their daughter without their prior consent. They are asking the school to pay their legal fees and promise that it won’t give “unconsented to and unsolicited COVID-19” jabs on campus to anyone.

According to the Western Standard, Gassner said that they have received a reply from the college acknowledging they got their letter, which must be replied to by November 15.

Gassner said that if they do not hear back from the school in full response, they will look into pressing “criminal charges.”

“It’s not an understatement that this was a major risk placed on the health of our daughter for no reason, as another solution was available,” Gassner said.

The Gassners have “full guardianship” of their daughter, despite her being 18. Gassner said this is “essentially the same as if she were under 18.”

Gassner’s daughter suffers from a developmental delay along with epilepsy and is enrolled in an employment transition program at Olds College. Continue…

Premier Doug Ford did not yield to political pressure to keep a jab requirement in place.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that his conservative government will not mandate the experimental COVID-19 vaccines for workers in the province’s healthcare sector.

In a statement issued this afternoon, Ford stood in defense of the individual autonomy of healthcare workers in his province by announcing that he will not mandate they receive the jab to keep their jobs despite pleas from the Ontario COVID-19 Advisory Science Table to do so.

“This is a complex issue. But when the impact of the potential departure of tens of thousands of health care workers is weighed against the small number of outbreaks that are currently active in Ontario’s hospitals, I am not prepared to jeopardize the delivery of care to millions of Ontarians,” Ford said Wednesday.

Although Ford announced that he will not mandate the vaccine for all healthcare workers at the provincial level, he did maintain his previous stance that he will allow individual hospitals and places that offer healthcare services to mandate the shot for their workers if they want.

“Having looked at the evidence, our government has decided to maintain its flexible approach by leaving human resourcing decisions up to individual hospitals,” the politician stated. “The experience in other Canadian jurisdictions tells us that implementing a province-wide vaccine mandate for hospital workers can negatively impact the care patients receive.”

“British Columbia has had to cancel surgeries and diagnostic tests because of the sudden termination of more than 3,000 health care workers after implementing a vaccine mandate. Quebec has now abandoned theirs altogether because of the significant risk an abrupt loss of thousands of health care workers poses to delivering critical services,” Ford continued.

Critical of Ford’s Wednesday decision is the Ontario COVID-19 Advisory Science Table, which has consistently called on him to implement even more stringent pandemic measures despite the government’s installation of a vaccine passport for “non-essential” businesses in September, and the almost two-year long indoor mandatory masking policy still in effect province-wide.

According to the table of advisers, mandating that medical professionals such as doctors receive the shot or lose their jobs, is an “evidence-based policy that protects Ontarians.”

Despite the table’s claim, there has yet to be any evidence produced in clinical trials that proves vaccinated individuals cannot spread COVID, or that unvaccinated people pose more of a risk when it comes to transmitting the virus compared to vaccinated people.

In fact, Health Canada explicitly stated, “Your vaccination status only changes your risk of catching COVID-19 and becoming ill. It doesn’t change your risk of exposure to the virus out in the community.”

World Food Prices Hit 10-Year High in October

World food prices rose for a third straight month in October to reach a fresh 10-year peak, led again by increases in cereals and vegetable oils, the U.N. food agency said on Thursday.

The Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO) food price index, which tracks international prices of the most globally traded food commodities, averaged 133.2 points last month compared with a revised 129.2 for September.

The September figure was previously given as 130.0.

The October reading was the highest for the index since July 2011. On a year-on-year basis, the index was up 31.3% in October.

Agricultural commodity prices have risen steeply in the past year, driven by harvest setbacks and strong demand.

The FAO's cereal price index rose by 3.2% in October from the previous month. That was led by a 5% jump in wheat prices, which climbed for a fifth consecutive month to reach their highest since November 2012, FAO said.

"Tighter availability in global markets due to reduced harvests in major exporters, especially Canada, the Russian Federation and the United States of America, continued to put upward pressure on prices," FAO said of wheat.

Wheat futures started November at new peaks, with U.S. prices at fresh highs since 2012 and Paris front-month futures at a record high as import demand remained brisk.

World vegetable oil prices jumped 9.6% on the month to set a record high, supported by further strength in palm oil prices as labor shortages in Malaysia continued to hamper production, FAO said.

In contrast, global sugar prices eased 1.8% in October, ending a run of six straight monthly rises, according to FAO.

Rome-based FAO cut its projection of global cereal production in 2021, to 2.793 billion tonnes from 2.800 billion estimated a month ago, according to its cereal supply and demand outlook.

That mainly reflected reduced wheat output estimates for Iran, Turkey, and the United States, offsetting an increased forecast for coarse grain production.

Expected world cereal output would still represent a record, but would trail projected demand, leading to a fall in forecast cereal stocks, FAO said.

Demand was supported by a raised projection of global cereal trade to a new record, bolstered by increased wheat trade.

Canadian Natural Resources profit beats on higher oil demand, raises dividend

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd (CNQ.TO) reported a third-quarter profit on Thursday that beat analysts' estimates, helped by a recovery in oil demand and higher output, and the company said it would increase its dividend.

The company, which remained on track to meet its full- year 2021 capital investment target of about $3.48 billion, said the company's board has approved a 25% increase in its quarterly dividend to $0.5875 per share.

Investors have rewarded companies that spend excess cash on dividends and buybacks, rather than on growth.

Canadian Natural produced 1.24 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) in the third quarter, compared with 1.1 million boepd a year earlier.

The oil and gas producer, which operates in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, northeastern British Columbia and Saskatchewan, said average realized prices for crude rose 69.5% to C$68.06 per barrel, while realized prices for its natural gas jumped about 78.8% to C$4.13.

On an adjusted basis, the company earned C$1.77 per share, compared with estimates of C$1.58, according to Refinitiv IBES.

Bank of Canada’s Inflation-Fighting Strategy May Not Be Enough

The Bank of Canada recently announced it would maintain the overnight rate it charges commercial banks to borrow from the central bank at 0.5 percent, and maintain the rate it offers those banks to keep reserves at the central bank at 0.25 percent. The bank also said it was ending its program of quantitative easing (QE) and moving into a “reinvestment” phase where it will purchase Government of Canada bonds solely to replace maturing bonds at a still substantial rate of $4 billion to $5 billion per month.

In effect, the bank will stop adding QE stimulus (which essentially prints new money, thereby growing the country’s money supply) but maintain the large stimulus it’s already injected into the economy, at least for the foreseeable future. In fact, it’s been gradually reducing the pace of QE purchases since October 2020.

The major issue, of course, which has made headlines across the country (and indeed around the world) is inflation; the rising cost of things, from bacon to automobiles to apartment rents.

In the same announcement, Tiff Macklem, governor of the Bank of Canada, said measures of medium-to-longer-term inflation expectations remain well-anchored on the bank’s 2 percent per annum target, and that overall wage pressures remain moderate.

While the bank expects inflation to rise to close to 5 percent by the end of 2021, it also expects a return to the bank’s 2 percent target by the end of 2022. Macklem said the bank aims to keep inflation under control, which means a fairly quick return of inflation to its 2 percent target.

But here’s the problem.

Strong forces will make the bank’s inflation-fighting job more difficult than Macklem suggests. For example, the bank views the current global and domestic supply chain disruptions as a short-term phenomenon, and believes the capacity of the Canadian economy to satisfy aggregate demand with minimum upward price pressures will be restored in the foreseeable future. Yet these views may be overly optimistic.

First, consider the Canadian economy’s supply problems, spurred in part by the country’s aging labour force. Barring larger-than-planned increases in immigration or a sharp upturn in the labour force participation rate of older workers, according to most models of labour supply, the growth of Canada’s labour force will slow over the coming decades with some models even projecting essentially zero growth.

However, a commensurate increase in labour productivity growth can offset stagnant labour force growth. And due to the growing use of robotics, telemedicine and other technological innovations, the economy may be on the verge of a technological renaissance following the 2011-2020 decade (when developed economies experienced the slowest labour productivity growth rates in 50 years).

Despite these trends, there’s heated debate among economists as to whether technological change, a major driver of productivity growth, will continue to accelerate or whether we’ve “used up” our best ideas. While it’s impossible to predict technological change, there’s evidence it’s becoming more expensive to innovate across a wide range of industries. Moreover, an aging population is itself a barrier to innovation, as an aging workforce implies a shrinking cohort of individuals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are most likely to be successful entrepreneurs.

Finally, capital investments in machinery, equipment and intellectual property products such as software remain another major driver of labour productivity growth.

Unfortunately, capital investment in Canada has declined in recent years and the future outlook is not encouraging. Beyond Canada’s relatively high tax rates, regulatory pressures to switch from carbon fuels to “green” energy sources, whatever the environmental benefits, will divert financial capital away from investments in traditional productivity-enhancing assets.

Post-COVID political pressures to rely less on imports for “strategic” goods such as medical equipment and pharmaceuticals may further slow productivity growth by attenuating the efficiency benefits of international trade.

In light of these potential longer-run constraints on supply, Canadian policymakers should focus on improving Canada’s productivity performance. Relying primarily on monetary policy to restore and maintain price stability—that is, control inflation—arguably places an unduly onerous burden on the central bank.

ST. JOHN’S, N.L.—A Canadian expert says a cyberattack that knocked down Newfoundland and Labrador’s health-care data centres Saturday is a national security issue and should be treated as such by Ottawa.

Beauceron Security head David Shipley says the attack is the worst in Canadian history.

Shipley says in an interview that similar attacks have targeted individual hospitals or more general government services in the country, but the extent and the consequences for human health make the Newfoundland and Labrador situation stand out.

The attack has resulted in thousands of cancelled appointments and forced the province’s largest health authority to revert to pen and paper.

A similar attack took out Ireland’s health-care system in May, and Dublin-based security expert Brian Honan says it still hasn’t completely recovered.

Honan agrees the Canadian government should be front and centre in responding to the attack in Newfoundland and Labrador and says the increasing frequency and severity of these incidents is a signal that countries need to take the security risk seriously.

HAMILTON, ON (LifeSiteNews) – A Canadian pro-life, pro-family organization is asking all Canadians to demand that Justin Trudeau’s government not remove charitable status from pregnancy centres.

“Please use our Action Alert tool to urge your Member of Parliament to defend the important work of Crisis Pregnancy Centres and Pro-Life Educational Organizations across this country,” says Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) in its Voter Voice campaign.

Earlier this year The Liberal Party’s 2021 election platform specifically targeted pro-life groups, including organizations that offer direct help to women in crisis pregnancies.

A portion of its 86-page platform states, “A re-elected Liberal government will: No longer provide charity status to anti-abortion organizations (for example, Crisis Pregnancy Centres) that provide dishonest counseling to women about their rights and about the options available to them at all stages of the pregnancy.”

The Liberal Party platform claims that “anti-choice organizations are actively working to spread misinformation about abortion, putting the health and safety of young people and vulnerable women at risk.” 

In a recent email, CLC’s Campaigns Manager David Cooke told CLC’s followers that “the Trudeau government has vowed to work to destroy the pro-life movement across Canada – especially its life-saving Crisis Pregnancy Centres.”

CLC’s Voter Voice Campaign says that if the Trudeau Liberals enforce its 2021-election platform threat, “scores of Crisis Pregnancy Centres and hundreds of Pro-Life Educational Organizations across Canada will be at risk of closure.”

“Without charitable status, they will be literally taxed out of existence. That will deal an enormous blow to the thousands of women these entities support both before and after childbirth.”

The CLC Voter Voice Campaign is simple to fill out and includes a pre-written message one can use.

“It seems that the Trudeau government is determined to impose pro-abortion belief all across our country’s charitable sector,” reads a portion of the pre-written message.

Euthanasia deaths rise by over a third in Quebec, continuing previous year’s trend

Quebec is the only province to exercise any public oversight of its euthanasia program.

The Sixth annual report from Quebec’s commission on end-of-life care for the year April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021, was submitted (unannounced) to Québec’s parliament, the National Assembly, on October 20, 2021. It was thanks to the Physicians’ Alliance Against Euthanasia that we learned of the report’s release.

The report indicates that there were 2,426 euthanasia deaths, up by 37% over the previous year, representing 3.3% of all deaths.

Quebec is the only province to exercise any public oversight of its euthanasia program. Furthermore, Quebec’s system includes a mechanism that is supposed to verify that doctors submit reports of euthanasia they authorize and perform. The problem is, the number of euthanasia deaths reported by doctors is always less than the total reported by hospitals, institutions, and the College of Physicians of Québec, and the Commission on End-of-life care cannot account for the discrepancy.

On page 11, the Commission reports 2,426 euthanasia were declared by doctors (a 37% increase from 1,776 in the 2019–2020 report). This is the figure used as the official number of MAiD deaths in Québec.

However, table 4.1 (on page 32) tells a different story; it shows that 3,412 MAiD requests were received, 990 of which did not end in euthanasia. (Alert readers will note that subtracting 990 from 3,412 does not yield 2,426.) Footnote b of table 4.1 acknowledges this inconsistency, without explanation:

The sum of administered and unadministered MAiD does not correspond to the number of MAiD requests declared by the institutions. [my translation]

Table 4.1 also shows the number of euthanasia reported by hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities (2,415) added to the number reported by the College of Physicians (273) for a total of 2,688, which is 262 more than the official figure of 2,426. The Commission explains this discrepancy in footnote 29 on page 47:

The Commission notes that the number of MAiD reported by facilities and the Collège des Médecins du Québec (CMQ) is different from the number of MAiD declared to the Commission. This is partly explained by the fact that certain MAiD were declared twice; to the CMQ and to an institution. The Commission will make the necessary verifications to ensure that it has received the declaration form for all administered MAiD reported by the establishments and the CMQ. [my translation]

This has been a consistent problem with the verification procedure established by sections 8, 37 and 46 of Québec’s Act respecting end-of-life care (ARELC, the law governing euthanasia), and has appeared in every annual report since the euthanasia program began on December 10, 2015. Continue…

Police say that Mak Parhar died in a New Westminster home on Thursday (Nov. 3).

Parhar, a former owner of a hot yoga studio in Delta, made national headlines at the beginning of what has become a 20-month-long global pandemic when he returned to the province from a flat-earth convention in the U.S. and refused to self-isolate as federal law dictated at the time, instead attending an anti-COVID rally in Vancouver.

Dozens of Conservative MPs form caucus to defend rights of unvaccinated Canadians

Up to 30 Conservative MPs have banded together to form the “Civil Liberties Caucus” to speak up for unvaccinated Canadians who are losing their jobs.

According to MP Marilyn Gladu, the caucus was organized in October after the party had its first caucus meeting since the election.

Conservative MPs were concerned about constituents who have lost their jobs after refusing to get a COVID-19 shot for various reasons.

To date, the caucus has met virtually over Zoom on four occasions to highlight this issue and urge Canadian employers to find accommodations for their workers who won’t or can’t be vaccinated.

According to Gladu, Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole was not informed about the group as it remains informal.

“I would really encourage every MP to listen to constituents in their ridings, because across the country, people are concerned about these things,” said Gladu.

“Our job as MPs is to raise the issues that our constituents are bringing, and ask the important questions and get the experts in on it, and set a path to take action to make sure that people’s rights and freedoms are protected. And that’s why we’re sort of looking at the name of civil liberties. I mean, it’s basically these are the areas where we feel people’s [rights] are being encroached.”

Gladu acknowledged that joining the group could impact other MPs from being appointed a critic position within the party.

“That is possible, and people will have to choose what their priorities are,” said Gladu.

“No, I don’t think that this is very controversial. Honestly, these are issues that are being raised by our constituents, and we were put here to basically represent their needs and make sure that those issues are raised in government, and that’s what we’re doing.”

While the Conservatives originally came out in opposition to the House of Common’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole flip-flopped on the issue.

Last month, O’Toole stated that his caucus would abide by a recent order requiring all parliamentarians in the House of Commons to be vaccinated. O’Toole stated that he will challenge the matter by raising a point of privilege at the soonest opportunity.

BC museum closes floor on Canadian history to “decolonize” exhibit

The Royal BC Museum will be closing an entire floor of exhibits dedicated to the early settlers of Canada.

According to the museum’s acting CEO Daniel Muzyka, the exhibits on European settlers, the early logging and fishery industry will all disappear.

“This is necessary to begin the long-term work of creating new narratives that include under-represented voices and reflect the lived experiences and contemporary stories of the people in B.C,” said Muzyka.

“We will decant the collection and we will do it carefully and openly and inclusively. We will listen. We want to tell the stories from the lived experience.”

Museum management hopes to replace the exhibit with one that represents a more accurate version of history in consultation with First Nations, Metis people, the South Asian community and Chinese community.

Additional changes will also be made to the museum’s First Peoples gallery which has been labelled as an “offensive and inadequate representation of Indigenous history.”

BC Liberal MLA Ellis Ross called the move “crazy” on Twitter.

“This is crazy. The ‘settler’ impact is what my elders talked about in terms of canneries and Forts where Aboriginals would travel to for trade and work,” tweeted Ross.

“Of course there were bad stories, but there were good stories too. Add to the history, don’t erase it.”

According to Muzyka, however, “decolonization” of the museum is long overdue.

“Decolonization of the museum’s galleries is important and long overdue,” said Muzyka in a press release.

“As part of our work to implement modernized museum practices, in particular our efforts around decolonization, we will be closing the third-floor so we can decant our galleries. This is necessary to begin the long-term work of creating new narratives that include under-represented voices and reflect the lived experiences and contemporary stories of the people in BC.”

This week, after over 400 private jets shuttled the world’s movers and shakers into Glasgow for COP26. The big take away coming out of the confab is that it’s all about the methane.

Everybody knew methane is a greenhouse gas, but now it’s a media thing. From here on in it’s going to get political.

When the methane mantra erupted throughout the corporate media this week, seemingly on cue, I didn’t give it too much thought. I was bracing for climate lockdowns, we didn’t get those, at least not yet.

Plan for Third Doses for ‘All Ontarians’ Expected Next Week

The Ontario government is set to announce next week when everyone in the province “will have access” to their third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The program is expected to morph over the next few months into an essential requirement to keep the Ontario Vaccine Passport current.

As outlined in the October 29th, 2021 CTV News post, “Plan for third doses for ‘all Ontarians’ expected next week,” Ontario provincial health Minister Christine Elliott said Friday in a tweet the plan will “provide information to all Ontarians” about when they can expect to receive their third shot.”

Elliott made the announcement after the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) expanded eligibility guidelines for booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines in Canada.

As outlined in the October 29th, 2021 CTV News post, “NACI names several more groups who should qualify for COVID-19 booster shots,” the latest guidelines “suggest provinces could offer boosters to Canadians who received two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.”

The article goes on to note that “the evidence suggests those vaccines may offer waning immunity over time.”

This is unquestionably a bottomless treasure chest for the bottom lines of vaccine manufacturers who have transformed what was once a single shot, low-cost protection against a multitude of diseases into an ongoing, massive and likely permanent government mandated revenue stream.

The provincial announcement come one week after the release of the October 21st, 2021 The Lancet paper “Waning immunity to SARS-CoV-2: implications for vaccine booster strategies.”

The Lancet paper, more a political discussion that a scientific paper, discussed the many challenges immunologists and vaccinologists face when transforming the existing “characterisation of the durability of protective immunity” traditionally associated with “vaccines” into a belief that protection against disease is an ongoing process requiring centralized mandates, restrictions on access to public and private services and tight government control.

TDSB puts staff on leave for violating COVID-19 vaccine mandate

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) has placed 95 permanent staff on unpaid leave for failing to disclose their COVID-19 vaccine status as of Friday, according to figures provided by the school board.

Another 609 occasional staff with the TDSB failed to disclose their vaccine status and have been put on unpaid leave.

There are 1,016 staff who have attested that they are unvaccinated and risk being put on an unpaid leave as of Nov. 21.

Nov. 1 was the deadline established for the 41,485 staff with the TDSB to be fully vaccinated or face an unpaid leave or termination. But that deadline has been extended to Nov. 21 for people waiting for medical or religious exemptions to be considered.

There have been 518 creed requests and 413 medical requests made. Zero religious exemptions and five medical exemptions have been granted so far.

There are 1,704 staff on leave who are exempt until they return to work.

The vaccine compliance rate excluding staff on leave and those seeking exemptions is 95.6%. The new deadline was enacted to give the school board time to ensure staff is available to cover for those on administrative leave and to do their due diligence on vaccine exemptions.

TDSB spokesperson Ryan Bird told the Toronto Sun that many of the occasional staff who have been put on an unpaid leave have not been working during the school year.

Bird said the school board does not anticipate any challenges in the daily operation of schools. There are 13 elementary school teachers and three high school teachers of the permanent staff on unpaid leave, according to Bird.

“You may see the situation where kids will have a different teacher,” he said.

Bird said it is up to occasional staff whether or not they want to pick up any shifts.

The school board’s vaccine mandate comes as the TDSB is expected to see increases in the number of students in the coming years.

The TDSB said in February that it is projecting increased enrolments in the coming years because of increases in kindergarten students from the low number enrolled in 2020 and increased newcomer enrolment after fall 2021.

TDSB Chair Alexander Brown wrote a letter to Ontario Minister of Education Stephen Lecce in 2020 asking for more staff to combat COVID-19 as school restarted.

“As you know, the health and safety of our school communities remains our top priority as we continue to plan for the reopening of schools this September,” said Brown. “While we appreciate your recent announcement of provincewide funding to help schools boards protect their communities from COVID-19, various school-based funding gaps still remain, including those related to class sizes, facilities and nutrition programs.”

Brown said the TDSB needed more staff to reduce class sizes in elementary schools to the greatest extent possible.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) recommends staff be fully vaccinated rather than order them to be. The TCDSB requires unvaccinated staff to undergo regular rapid antigen tests or risk being suspended.

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) also has a more lenient vaccine policy. Unvaccinated staff with the DPCDSB have to complete two rapid antigen tests every week.

The richest people on the planet, representing a small sliver of the total population, are emitting carbon dioxide at a rate that's imperiling hopes of keeping global heating below 1.5°C, prompting fresh calls for government action to rein in "luxury" pollution and combat the intertwined crises of inequality and climate change.

New research by the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) shows that by 2030, the carbon footprints of the wealthiest 1% of humanity are on track to be 30 times larger than the size compatible with limiting global warming to 1.5°C by the end of the century, the Paris Agreement's more ambitious temperature target.

If current trends continue, the richest 1% will account for 16% of global CO2 emissions in 2030.

The carbon emissions of the poorest half of the global population, meanwhile, "are set to remain well below the 1.5°C-compatible level," according to the analysis, which was commissioned by Oxfam International and published Friday. The planet has already warmed by roughly 1.1°C, and scientists have said any heating beyond 1.5°C would have destructive consequences worldwide.

"The emissions from a single billionaire spaceflight would exceed the lifetime emissions of someone in the poorest billion people on Earth," Nafkote Dabi, Oxfam's climate policy lead, said in a statement. "A tiny elite appear to have a free pass to pollute. Their oversized emissions are fueling extreme weather around the world and jeopardizing the international goal of limiting global heating."

"The emissions of the wealthiest 10% alone could send us beyond the agreed limit in the next nine years," Dabi added. "This would have catastrophic results for some of the most vulnerable people on Earth who are already facing deadly storms, hunger, and destitution."

Authored by Tim Gore, head of the Low Carbon and Circular Economy program at IEEP, the new research paper notes that "while carbon inequality is often most stark at the global level, inequalities within countries are also very significant."

"They increasingly drive the extent of global inequality, and likely have a greater impact on the political and social acceptability of national emissions reduction efforts," the paper reads. "It is therefore notable that in all of the major emitting countries, the richest 10% and 1% nationally are set to have per capita consumption footprints substantially above the 1.5⁰C global per capita level."

To slash the outsized planet-warming emissions of the global rich, the study calls on policymakers to pursue restrictions on mega-yachts, private jets, and recreational space travel. In a paper published last month, French economist Lucas Chancel estimated that "an 11-minute [space] flight emits no fewer than 75 tonnes of carbon per passenger once indirect emissions are taken into account (and more likely, in the 250-1,000 tonnes range)."

"At the other end of the distribution, about one billion individuals emit less than one tonne per person per year," Chancel observed. "Over their lifetime, this group of one billion individuals does not emit more than 75 tonnes of carbon per person. It therefore takes a few minutes in space travel to emit at least as much carbon as an individual from the bottom billion will emit in her entire lifetime."

In addition to targeting sources of "luxury carbon consumption," the analysis by IEEP and SEI also proposes restrictions on "climate-intensive investments like stock-holdings in fossil fuel industries."

"The global emissions gap to keep the 1.5°C Paris goal alive is not the result of the consumption of most of the world's people: it reflects instead the excessive emissions of just the richest citizens on the planet," Gore said in a statement. "It is necessary for governments to target measures at their richest, highest emitters―the climate and inequality crises should be tackled together." Emily Ghosh, a scientist at SEI, agreed, arguing that "carbon inequality must urgently be put at the center of governments efforts to reduce emissions."

"Our research highlights the challenge of ensuring a more equitable distribution of the remaining and rapidly diminishing global carbon budget," said Ghosh. "If we continue on the same trajectory as today, the stark inequalities in income and emissions across the global population will remain, challenging the equity principle at the very heart of the Paris Agreement."

CDC Scientists admit they did manipulate study data to show the Covid-19 Vaccines are safe for Pregnant Women

In July 2021, The Exposé exclusively revealed how data had been manipulated by scientists carrying out a real world study for the CDC to show that Covid-19 vaccines were safe for use during pregnancy.

The authors claimed that the number of people to suffer a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) during the study was 104 out of 827 completed pregnancies, equating the risk of miscarriage at 12.6%; 7 – 12% lower than the risk of miscarriage in the general population.

However, our analysis proved that these numbers were extremely misleading due to the fact that of the 827 completed pregnancies, 700 / 86% of the women had received a dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna Covid-19 vaccine during the third trimester of pregnancy, meaning it was impossible for them to suffer a miscarriage due to the fact they can only occur prior to week 20 of a pregnancy.

This meant that just 127 women received either the Pfizer or Moderna Covid-19 vaccine during the first / second trimester, with 104 of the woman sadly losing their baby.

Therefore the rate of incidence of miscarriage was 82%, not 12.6% as presented in the findings of the study, and the authors of the study have since admitted that they made a mistake, issuing a correction six months too late, because the study has been used to justify Covid-19 vaccination of pregnant women and new mothers around the world.

But now two researchers from New Zealand have re-analysed the study and called for countries to halt the administration of Covid-19 vaccines to pregnant and breastfeeding women immediately due to extremely concerning findings.

The correction resolved some of the issues, but there are still more, according to Dr. Simon Thornley, a senior lecturer in the University of Auckland’s Section of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Dr. Aleisha Brock, another researcher in New Zealand.

According to Dr Thronley “The article’s conclusions haven’t changed substantially as we believe is warranted from our re-analysis of the association related to early exposure to the vaccine in pregnancy, which indicates a substantially increased risk from background.”

Thornley and Brock re-analysed the data and calculated the incidence of miscarriages in the first trimester was actually 82 percent (as concluded previously by The Exposé) to 91 percent in a paper (see here) published in Science, Public Health Policy, and the Law. Continue…

Serious question: Why should we listen to a word that anyone says at the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland?

An estimated 30,000 officials — including a Canadian delegation of nearly 300 politicians and their press flacks, the largest of any delegation in the G7 — travelled to the Scottish city to, what, pontificate about the various ways governments can tax and punish people into submission when it comes to lowering their carbon emissions.

Thousands of gas-guzzling, CO2-emitting airplanes were needed, we’re told, to send these morally superior beings to this crucially important climate summit to glad-hand, virtue-signal and scheme.

Our planet depends on it.

A Zoom conference call was out of the question. They needed to meet in person.

For us mere mortals back home, we’re the problem. Driving our cars, heating our homes, feeding our families with (heaven-forbid!) meat — these horrendous activities are contributing to the end of our planet.

Our political betters in Scotland recognize this. Their air travel, the scores of idling SUVs outside the conference, the gas-fueled mega-cruise ship sitting in the Glasgow harbour hosting thousands of delegates, these are necessary sacrifices that will protect our planet.

But you warming up your car in the driveway before work. That’s the real crime.

The emboldened brain trust in Scotland have begun to announce their various schemes to save us from ourselves.

First out of the gate, Trudeau called for a global carbon tax. He believes that taking more money out of the hands of entrepreneurs and families and transferring it into the hands of corrupt kleptocrats in poverty-stricken developing nations is somehow the key.

Trudeau then announced a hard cap on oil and gas emissions — a step to punish our country’s energy suppliers, the very companies whose innovation is desperately needed in efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.

Finally, Trudeau announced that the federal government will divest billions of dollars globally from projects and investments related to oil and gas. Why does Canada invest in oil and gas projects abroad while scapegoating and punishing this sector in Canada?

Former Head of the Bank of Canada Mark Carney was asked this very question during a Parliamentary Committee hearing earlier this year. In his private sector job, Carney’s company invests in pipelines around the world. In his political life, Carney supports Trudeau’s pipeline-killing policies in Canada.

Carney’s answer was less than inspiring. He basically conceded that Canada must be held to a higher standard when it comes to the transition to renewables — jobs be damned.

After the embarrassing exchange for Carney, Trudeau clearly took note. And now, a few months later, he’s announcing that the feds will no longer do what Carney does with his private investment firm.

But let us pause for a moment and look at the broader global economy.

Trudeau’s singular focus on climate change doesn’t negate that COVID is still wreaking havoc on the global economy, causing sustained unemployment, supply-chain issues that are going nowhere, and perhaps most concerning, an unprecedented spike in government spending and borrowing across the Western world and corresponding printing of money to pay for it.

Printing money leads to inflation, and the hyper printing of money could very likely lead to hyper-inflation.

Bankers and investors like Carney typically advise their clients to invest in hard assets during times of inflation — including natural resources and energy projects.

At a time where Canada’s public pension funds should be taking every precaution to protect retirement savings against the risks of inflation, Trudeau is doing the opposite.

He’s putting his green ideology ahead of what’s best for Canadians.

That, in a nutshell, is the purpose of climate summits like COP26. It allows self-righteous hypocrites like Trudeau to pretend he’s saving the planet, meanwhile, his hare-brained schemes are putting our jobs and our retirement savings at risk.

Doing More Harm Than Good

The development, distribution and injection of COVID jabs gives new meaning to the term, “deregulation.” From beginning to end, the whole process appears to be devoid of hard-and-fast rules. Tried-and-true methods have been overturned for no apparent reason. Old methods have been set aside. These abandoned methods have sought to priorize the safety, wellbeing and security of patients over the business interests of drug makers, hospital owners and medical practitioners.

It is made to seem like the only imperative that is consistently pursued is the push plunge COVID jabs into as many arms as possible as fast and as widely distributed as possible. Other than that, the underlying philosophy could be described as… dam the reports of extremely harmful health impacts… full steam ahead.

Nothing is allowed to get in the way of the carrot and stick approach to raising the numbers of injected people. No matter how lethal, how injurious, or how fraught with other catastrophic consequences, the mass inoculation project is being pushed forward at warp speed without any decent regard for the precautionary principle.

Great precaution should accompany the introduction into the biosphere of all new technologies, but especially those affecting living organisms and delicate biological relationships among them. The precautionary principle has particular bearing on experiments that alter the biological workings of human beings, both individually and collectively as when contagious illness is involved.

A mostly compliant medical profession is largely going along with the infraction of many professional promises, sacred trusts, and obligations in pushing forward the scheme of jabbing every arm with untested medical products. By being instrumental in advancing the project of near-universal inoculation, scores of medical practitioners as well as the leadership of most of their professional associations and colleges are conspicuously going against a core provision of the Hippocratic oath.

On an unprecedented scale, medical doctors have been violating their professional vow that they will do no harm. In Israel, for instance, 59% of new hospitalizations for COVID-19 are fully vaccinated. This statistic is just one of a barrage of indicators that the push towards the universal vaccination of national populations is doing more harm than good.

Many vaccinated people are themselves spreading viral contagion and becoming sick themselves reportedly from the “Delta Variant.” The Delta Varian is one of many mutations of the supposedly new coronavirus.

The results of the vaccine clinical trials were based on a disease specific health endpoint “Severe Infection by Covid-19” Instead of an “All Cause Morbidity” endpoint.

These findings contrast the manufacturers’ inappropriate surrogate endpoints: Janssen claims that their vaccine prevents 6 cases of severe COVD-19 requiring medical attention out of 19,630 immunized; Pfizer claims their vaccine prevents 8 cases of severe COVID-19 out of 21,720 immunized; Moderna claims its vaccine prevents 30 cases of severe COVID-19 out of 15,210 immunized. Based on this data it is all but a certainty that mass COVID-19 immunization is hurting the health of the population in general. Scientific principles dictate that the mass immunization with COVID-19 vaccines must be halted immediately because we face a looming vaccine induced public health catastrophe.”

Singing O Canada is “distasteful and should be replaced”: OCDSB committee

An Ottawa Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Indigenous Education Advisory Council debated whether making students sing O Canada at the start of the school day was distasteful or should be replaced.

According to the October 21, 2021 meeting’s minutes, advisory council member and educational assistant Lili Miller and others raised issues about the national anthem and options for students who refuse to participate.

“With respect to standing and singing of O Canada during opening exercises in school, Ms. Miller expressed the opinion that this practice is distasteful and should be replaced with something more healthy and positive,” the council meeting’s minutes describe.

“Chair Manatch suggested that Indigenous students be permitted to sit and not participate in the singing of O Canada. Elder Dumont expressed the opinion that the government of Canada needs to hold people accountable for the deaths of students at residential schools.”

During the meeting, Shannon Smith, who is the Board’s Superintendent of Instruction, noted that schools are required by law to sing the national anthem.

True North reached out to the OCDSB for clarification on the matter.

“The singing of Oh Canada is a required component of schools’ opening exercise (Education Act, section 304 and Ontario Regulation 435/00). The Regulation states that a student does not need to sing Oh Canada if a parent/guardian, or an adult student, requests that the student be exempted from doing so. No explanation is required,” OCDSB Communications Coordinator Darcy Knoll told True North.

According to the Education Act, “opening or closing exercises must include the singing of O Canada and may include the recitation of a pledge of citizenship in the form set out in the regulations.”

Despite the requirements, students can be exempt from singing O Canada if they have parental permission or if they apply for an exemption should the student be over 18 years of age.

The OCDSB has come under increased scrutiny over several recent measures. As first reported by True North in September, the Board removed the popular novel Lord of the Flies from its curriculum after a student activist complained it was about white supremacy.

“Referencing The Lord of the Flies, (the student who wrote the article) noted that she does not need to learn more about White, male supremacy, which tells the story of a group of boys in a hierarchical order who fight for power and degrade one another,” the committee report explains.

“(The article) led to the removal of ‘The Lord of the Flies’ from the OCDSB English curriculum.”
