me too but I will share this..when I had muh really bad episode in Nov and going through a lot of negative release the lights in whole house were flickering..had to be told by mrs G as I din't notice it but it habbebed about 3-4 times according to her and all related to the release or 'agony' I was putting out so I totally get that.

Treasury Two-Year Yields Rise to 15-Year High on Hawkish Outlook-Asian Markets down

Treasuries sold off in Asia as investors responded to global central bankers signaling they will increase interest rates as much as necessary to bring down inflation.

The US two-year yield jumped to the highest level since November 2007 after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said at Jackson Hole a restrictive stance was likely to remain in place “for some time,” and “the historical record cautions strongly against prematurely loosening policy.” A top European Central Bank official said more tightening is needed even if Europe’s economy tips into recession. The latest selloff in bonds has more than erased the gains that came in July when investors had begun to take a view that policy makers would slow their pace of tightening to avoid tipping the global economy into a recession. The yield on the US two-year note climbed as much as six basis points to 3.46%, while that on the 10-year security increased five basis points to 3.09%. The inversion of the yield curve, currently at 36 basis points, is still below the peak of 58 basis points reached earlier this month.

Bonds elsewhere in Asia sold off too. Australian 10-year bond yields jumped 12 basis points to 3.69%, and those in New Zealand increased nine basis points to 3.97%

The Fed’s leadership of a global hawkish policy wave is also sending the dollar surging. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index jumped 0.5% to approach a record high set in July. The currency’s gains came as swaps traders boosted their expectation for where the Fed rate will be a year from now to 3.82%, from 3.68% a week ago.

Eurodollar traders also trimmed bets on a rate cut in 2023, pricing in a 32 basis-point reduction for next year, versus more than 50 basis-point decline priced in two weeks ago. Jackson Hole left traders divided on whether next month’s policy meeting will see the Fed match the past two gatherings with a three-quarter point hike or slow down to a half point move. Still-elevated inflation makes a rate increase inevitable, but the size “will depend on the totality of the incoming data and the evolving outlook,” Powell said.

Friday’s US payroll report along with the next consumer-price-index numbers on Sept. 13 are among the biggest of the data points that will matter for the Fed, and for global bonds.

She's at 24,550 and minus the 758 miles added for the return flight from JBA back to FL counted last night as an AC does not have to be brought back from JBA so the total is now 23,792 extra air miles but 6 AC's for her 'Vakay' and "official" trip that started two weeks ago.

Housing Inventory August 29th Update

Inventory is still increasing, but the inventory build has slowed over the last two months. Still, inventory is increasing faster than in 2019 at this time of year. Here are the same week inventory changes for the last four years: 2022: +3.3K, 2021: -0.4K, 2020: -2.1K, 2019: +2.8K

Inventory bottomed seasonally at the beginning of March 2022 and is now up 130% since then.More than double!Altos reports inventory is up 28.7% year-over-year and is now 26.8% above the peak last year. As of August 26th, inventory was at 555 thousand (7-day average), compared to 551 thousand the prior week. Inventory was up 0.6% from the previous week. Inventory is still historically low. Compared to the same week in 2021, inventory is up 28.7% from 431 thousand, however compared to the same week in 2020 inventory is down 6.2% from 592 thousand. Compared to 3 years ago, inventory is down 42.4% from 963 thousand.

Pakistan Says IMF Approves $1.17 Billion Bailout to Avert Near-Term Default

Pakistan said it secured a $1.17 billion bailout from the International Monetary Fund to avert an imminent default as political turmoil and deadly flooding threaten the South Asian economy.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail announced the IMF board’s approval of the funds in a post on his Twitter account on Monday. The funds will be key to stabilizing Pakistan’s economy after surging energy costs eroded the nation’s foreign-exchange reserves and stoked Asia’s second-fastest inflation. Taliban closes in on gasoline deal with Russia

Taliban in negotiations with Russia for wheat, gas and oil supplies. The Taliban administration is in the final stages of talks in Moscow over the terms of a contract for Afghanistan to purchase gasoline and benzene from Russia, Afghan commerce ministry officials told Reuters.

Habiburahman Habib, the spokesperson for Afghanistan's Ministry of Commerce and Industry, confirmed that an official delegation chaired by the commerce ministry was in the Russian capital and finalizing contracts for supplies of wheat, gas and oil. A source from the office of the Minister of Commerce and Industry told Reuters technical officials from his ministry and the Ministry of Finance had stayed in Moscow to work on the contracts after a ministerial delegation visited this month.

"We are working on text of contract, (we have) almost agreed on gasoline and benzene," said the official, adding they expected it to be finished soon.Spokespeople at Russia's foreign and energy ministries did not respond to requests for comment.

The contracts come after a Taliban delegation led by the acting commerce minister visited Russia in mid-August to hold talks on trade.

If completed, the contract would be a sign of foreign countries increasingly doing business with the Taliban, despite its administration not being officially recognized by any international government since it took control of the country after U.S. troops withdrew around a year ago. It comes as the United States tries to convince other nations to cut down on use of Russian oil, saying the initiative is aimed at curbing the oil revenue that Moscow uses to finance its invasion of Ukraine.

Both Russia and Taliban-led Afghanistan face economic sanctions from international governments, including the United States.

No foreign government, including Moscow, formally recognizes the Taliban administration and Afghanistan's banks have been hampered by the sanctions which have left most international banks unwilling to carry out transactions with Afghan banks.

The official source said they had a plan for how payments would be made but declined to provide details on whether official banking channels would be used.

Despite Afghanistan's central bank assets being frozen, its banking sector hampered by sanctions, and a lack of formal recognition from abroad, some countries are doing business with Kabul, helping it access global markets amid a domestic economic crisis. Pakistan is receiving thousands of tons of coal from Afghanistan a day, which the former has welcomed to ease its energy crisis. Transactions are carried out by private businesses in each country, and the Taliban administration collects millions of dollars in customs duties on the coal exports.

Treasury Secretary is in complete Apparent (FIFY) Violation of Requirement to Mint Silver Eagles in Quantities “Sufficient to Meet Public Demand”.

Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV) is calling out U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and U.S. Mint Director Ventris Gibson for the “long-running production slowdown” in the Silver American Eagle bullion coin program that has caused “shortages and dramatically higher market prices for this iconic silver coin as compared to its peers worldwide.” Many Americans have sought to hedge against high rates of inflation by acquiring hard assets, including gold and silver. Overall market demand for bullion coins, bars, and rounds has risen to higher levels than seen in recent years, if not ever. Most gold and silver bullion forms do not carry much markup (also known as “premium”) over the actual market value of the metal itself, thereby enabling investors to acquire more precious metal for each dollar they invest.

However, this has not been the case with the Silver American Eagle since 2020, causing it to become known in some circles as “the most overrated silver coin in the world.” In a letter dated August 25, Mooney cited 31 U.S. Code § 5112(e) which states, “the [Treasury] Secretary shall mint and issue, in qualities and quantities that the Secretary determines are sufficient to meet public demand coins which— (1) are 40.6 millimeters in diameter and weight 31.103 grams; (2) contain .999 fine silver; (3) have a design— (A) symbolic of Liberty on the obverse side; and (B) of an eagle on the reverse side.” But, as Mooney pointed out, the U.S. Mint has only made 11.6 million ounces of the silver bullion coin available to the public through July 2022 – barely half of what has been supplied through the first seven months of prior years when demand has been similarly strong. “This shortage in U.S. Mint production has apparently led to extremely high market-based premiums on Silver Eagles (as high as 70% over the silver melt value) – even as comparable items produced by other sovereign mints and private mints were not beset by such shortages or historically high premiums,” Mooney wrote. “The high costs resulting from the U.S. Mint production shortage directly harm U.S. citizens wishing to avail themselves of a U.S. legal tender means of protecting their financial security from the effects of inflation.”

Rep. Mooney is demanding Yellen and Gibson provide answers to the following questions:

1.Does the Secretary believe the Silver American Eagle coin is being produced in “qualities and quantities that… are sufficient to meet public demand”? (The short answer is no or why would there be a 70% premium with them?)

2.Why is only a single supplier currently allowed to (or willing to) provide the U.S. Mint with silver blanks for its Silver Eagle program? (they don't have a single supplier but the biggest supplier is Sunshine Mint and they used to do all this themselves by buyinf the 1000 and 5000/oz bars to process-all the other Sov.mints that use Sunshine as supplier are NOT having these issues and the premiums for there pmost produced coins are nowhere near what they are on US Mint Silver Eagles)

3.Given its statutory mandate to amply supply these coins to the public, why doesn’t the U.S. Mint have a policy to build a reserve of silver blanks during periods of slower demand in order to create a buffer for periods of higher demand? (see above-they don't make them any longer they rely on outside suppliers-and why they don't do this you'll have to ask Janey but bshe won't and doesn't have to tell you)

4.Has the U.S. Mint examined the practices of other sovereign mints – such as Britain’s Royal Mint, Australia’s Perth Mint, the Austrian Mint, or the Royal Canadian Mint – to learn from their relative success in meeting high public demand for their own silver coins? If so, what were the resulting findings or recommendations? (See answers from 2 and 3)

5.What actions are currently being undertaken to address the Mint’s production problems (which reportedly extend beyond the Silver American Eagle coin program) and when will the U.S. Mint once again be able to fulfill its mandate to meet public demand? If they wre directed by Janet Yellen to do ANYTHING or NOT do something they will not tell you since those decisions are not reveiwable by any court or jurisdiction-see above)

Hello QRB frens. UK bred anon checking in with an update on a dig around the EMBANKMENT where those ‘traffic cam’ pics, LISA and CH pics occurred.

We shaved off 30 and 31DEC from that week due to NYE preparations and celebrations on those two dates. There were a couple of overhead street banners directing partygoers to restroom and first-aid facilities as well as where to exit the area.

As you may already know, we already thought the LISAMI6 pic occurring 25DEC2013 +/-1 day due to the building lights pattern match with open sauces for that day, and LIKELY 22DEC through the end of DEC for the rest. The reason we could not use such specificity with the other EMB pics is because LISAMI6 is an OUTLIER among those EMB pics. It lacks something all the other EMB pics have- trash cans at curbside in front of Tattershall Castle. Can’t prove it’s the same evening. Yes a vague grainy resemblance in the Millbank lights to that seen in LISA but very blurry when magnified. And so, the EMB pics were only linked to LISA around Christmas by inference. Well, getting back to our EMB pics, we can now say they are likely from 22DEC (on which date we found a sauce to match ROT1 which shows a sidewalk advert sign) to 29DEC2013, because we can now eliminate 30/31DEC. Another marker, the red crane lights put the ROT1 sequence after 14DEC for the first sauce showing 2 red lights behind LONDON EYE.

As for the CH pics, we had up til now a little green cross first-aid sign that popped up around 4MAR2014 in open sauces as a ‘not after this date’ marker. So we could not do any better than that. Interestingly, it is that same green FIRST-AID symbol that appears on the 2 NYE banners over VICTORIA EMBANKMENT.

We now think it is possible that the TEMPORARY first-aid sign seen in open sauces near CH could have been placed there during the day on 30DEC and accidentally left in place after NYE til it was spotted in open sauces in MAR’14. If this sign was placed there during the day on 30DEC, this would greatly narrow the ‘bookends’ we have for the CH pics- placing them also prior to the evening on 30DEC. We are looking to see if moar of these first-aid signs and locations may have existed at Richmond Terrace and Horse Guards Avenue.

The WW dig, by my estimate of them changing out light bulbs and a new pic on the 29th showing the bulbs replaced, puts that event between 17DEC and 29DEC.

The PICCADILLY pics are roughly the same time frame but using gut instinct on just when COOL BRITANNIA would put a 70% off sale sign in the window- last week of Christmas? The RED BUS pic occurred when overhead Christmas street decorations were up, and is only connected to the other Piccadilly pics by inference, as its location is some 600 ft up Coventry from the Cool Britannia store.

Looking for moar of those green first-aid signs to firm up our hypothesis about the one across from CH.
