Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said a key part of the House of Representative’s looming Hunter Biden probe will focus on the run-up to the 2020 presidential election.

Jordan, the ranking GOP member of the House Judiciary Committee, and his colleagues in Republican leadership have vowed a sweeping investigation should they retake the House in the 2022 midterm elections.

“I think one of the key elements there is what happened in 2020, in the fall of 2020, just weeks before the election,” Jordan told Breitbart.

“We had 51 former intelligence officials tell us that this was Russian disinformation. We had the FBI sit down with Facebook and say, ‘Hey, be careful, wink wink. We think there’s Russian disinformation,'” he continued. “All that was done to suppress that story, which had an impact on how people voted in the most important election we have, the election for president of the United States.”

“I want to know what were those 51 intel people basing their letter on? What evidence did they have?Who were they talking to? …That definitely needs to be investigated.”

Though the main Hunter Biden inquiry is expected to take place in the House Overnight Committee, at least some elements are being carried out by Judiciary.

A Connecticut Democratic candidate is facing sharp criticism after accusing police officers of joining the force to “beat people up” — and so they could “have sex with women attracted to the uniform.”

Christine Maine, who is running for state General Assembly in Putnam, told WINY radio that several officers admitted they signed up for the job because it offered perverted perks.

“Some of them joined the police department because they wanted to beat people up with impunity,” she said. “They wanted to have sex because the uniform attracted women, and they wanted to speed.”

The first-time candidate also said most police are “combative with citizens.”

“I don’t even know how to respond about what was just said,” incumbent Republican Rick Hayes, a retired Putnam police chief and Maine’s opponent, said after the tirade.

The comments sparked outrage across the state, and may even cost her endorsements just weeks before the election.

“We will be putting a question on the agenda for our Oct. 6 meeting. It will be a simple question, ‘Do you wish to continue endorsing Christine Maine as a candidate for the 51st District State Representative position?’” Scott Pempek, chairman of the Putnam Democratic Town Committee, told WINY Talk Show.

The Putnam committee, as well as neighboring Killingly and Thompson Democratic town committees, have asked Maine to abandon her bid for General Assembly, but the outspoken candidate has refused.

“The one thing that I did get confirmation on is that her name will not be off the ballot,” Pempek said.

Even sitting elected Democrats have encouraged her to drop out.

“I told her it might be wise to step down,” Sen. Cathy Osten (D-Sprague) told the New Haven Register. “That’s her decision to make.”

The outlet noted that ==lawn signs and banners supporting Maine have disappeared.

Bob Stefanowski, the Republican candidate for Connecticut governor, said Maine’s accusations were “incredibly disturbing,” “crass” and “unsubstantiated.”

As criticism rolled in, Maine called WINY to explain herself, claiming her statement was based on years of experience as a magistrate in Virginia, where she closely worked with officers who were seeking search and arrest warrants.

She was “shocked” by their admissions, she said. Maine has not apologized.

Maine did not respond to request for comment by The Post.

Back at the time of the founding, for a long time, corporations not only could not own property forever, they could not live forever. Automatic death of the corporation was the default position after about every 20 years.

A corporation was given a "state charter" for about 20 years, and after that 20, they had to come in to the state and apply for continued, existence by being granted a NEW CHARTER. When they applied...

They got the good citizen checkup, to see if they were worthy of another charter (operated by the many state charter laws).

IF... a corporation was sued too many times by humans in civilization, if it was caught being a bad actor, breaking the law, or harming civilization in any way, the charter was simply denied.

No "fines", no tying up the courts.

Auto execution by operation of state charter law. Period.

Under the old charter laws, MANY of our corrupt corporations would have disappeared by simple denial of their charter for bad behavior, breaking the law etc.

Big Pharma would be so fucked right now.

And Monsanto????? Gone long ago.

This legal auto execution process did something REALLY SMART.

It FORCED the corporate boards to consider good citizenship in the bottom line, not just profits.

The corporations went around and lobbied to gut the many state charter laws over time, while we were all sleeping. You can still see remnants of the old charter laws on the books in most states.

Not only should corporations not be allowed to own land (especially foreign corporations).

But the charter laws should be reinstated.

A federal judge ruled Friday that Georgia’s election practices, while “not perfect,” do not violate the Constitution or the Voting Rights Act of 1965, shutting down a challenge by a group associated with Stacey Abrams.

The 288-page order comes in response to a lawsuit first filed in November 2018 after Republican Brian Kemp defeated Abrams in Georgia’s gubernatorial election.

Kemp defeated Abrams by more than 54,000 votes to become governor. Abrams has never conceded to Kemp and has claimed the 2018 election was “stolen from Georgians.”

The lawsuit was filed by Fair Fight Action and Care in Action and initially sought a massive overhaul of the state’s election system. By the time the case went to trial earlier this year, the suit focused on several specific election processes, including the state’s “exact match” policy for voter-registration applications. The groups argued that those attempting to register to vote have run into problems if information on applications doesn’t exactly match that in driver’s-license or Social Security databases or if new U.S. citizens’ information hasn’t been updated in the driver’s-license database.

The groups also claimed that county election officials, who are trained by the state on the process for canceling absentee ballots, were given inadequate training and incorrect training materials. The plaintiffs accused state officials of mismanaging the voter-registration database. The groups argued that the policies negatively impacted people of color and new citizens and therefore violated the U.S. Constitution and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Josh Belinfante, a lawyer for state election officials, defended the rules and argued that the state’s automatic voter-registration policy and recent increase in voter registration among black residents are evidence that the state is not suppressing voters.

Fair Fight collected testimony from more than 3,000 voters, and very few were unable to cast a ballot. None of the voters said they could not cast a ballot in 2020. Belinfante argued the testimonials showed that many issues were resolved quickly.

Kemp celebrated the ruling on Friday, saying in a statement: “Judge Jones’ ruling exposes this legal effort for what it really is: a tool wielded by a politician hoping to wrongfully weaponize the legal system to further her own political goals.”

Abrams responded to the ruling in a statement of her own: “While the Court’s actions are not the preferred outcome, the conduct of this trial and preceding cases and legislative actions represent a hard-won victory for voters who endured long lines, burdensome date of birth requirements and exact match laws that disproportionately impact Black and Brown voters.”

Indonesia police say 129 people killed after stampede at soccer match

The incident in Indonesia appears to be one of the world's worst stadium disasters

At least 129 people were killed and around 180 injured at a soccer match in Indonesia after a crowd stampede during a riot, police said on Sunday, in what appears to be one of the world's worst stadium disasters.

After the match in East Java province between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya ended on Saturday night, supporters from the losing team invaded the pitch and police had fired tear gas, triggering a stampede and cases of suffocation, East Java police chief Nico Afinta told reporters.

Video footage from local news channels showed people rushing onto the pitch in the stadium in Malang and images of body bags.

There have been previous outbreaks of trouble at matches in Indonesia, with a strong rivalry between clubs sometimes leading to violence among supporters.

Zainudin Amali, Indonesia's sports minister, told KompasTV the ministry would re-evaluate safety at football matches, including considering not allowing spectators in stadiums.

The Indonesian top league BRI Liga 1 has suspended games for a week following the match that Persebaya won 3-2 and an investigation had been launched, the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) said.

Among global stadium disasters, 96 Liverpool supporters were crushed to death in Britain in April 1989, when an overcrowded and fenced-in enclosure collapsed at the Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield.

Indonesia is to host the FIFA under-20 World Cup in May and June next year. They are also one of three countries bidding to stage next year's Asian Cup, the continent's equivalent of the Euros, after China pulled out as hosts.

Why would a person surround themselves with fetuses?

Why does a dead fetus need a juice box?

Sure aborted babies body parts are being sold.

What happens to the babies that are successfully resuscitated by this guy or others just like him? I doubt highly he is doing this to learn the science.

How valuable is a newborn child that nobody believes is alive or exist?

The fight being waged for later and later abortions and full term abortions is not about killing of the baby.

National Archives tells Congress some Trump admin records still unaccounted for

The National Archives and Records Administration told the House Oversight Committee in a letter released Saturday that some Trump administration records have yet to be recovered.

Why it matters: The disclosure comes as Trump's legal team and the Justice Department wage a protracted legal battle over the ex-president's alleged possession of documents he was meant to turn over to the Archives upon leaving office.

The Archives didn't speak to whether any of the missing documents they referenced are in Trump's possession, citing the DOJ's probe into the matter.

Driving the news: In a letter to Oversight Committee Chair Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) dated Sept. 30, acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall wrote, "While there is no easy way to establish absolute accountability, we do know that we do not have custody of everything we should."

Wall specifically cited official business that was conducted "using non-official electronic messaging accounts that were not copied or forwarded into their official electronic messaging accounts" as an area of particular concern.

"NARA has been able to obtain such records from a number of former officials and will continue to pursue the return of similar types of Presidential records from former officials," Wall said.

The letter comes in response to a Sept. 13 letter Maloney sent to Wall seeking an "urgent review" of "whether presidential records remain unaccounted for and potentially in the possession of the former president.”

Yes, but: Wall deferred to the DOJ to answer questions about documents Trump personally took from the White House.

"With respect to the second issue concerning whether former President Trump has surrendered all presidential records, we respectfully refer you to the Department of Justice in light of its ongoing investigation," she wrote to Maloney.

Maloney had asked in her Sept. 13 letter for the Archives to seek a "personal certification from Donald Trump that he has surrendered all presidential records that he illegally removed from the White House."

What they're saying: "The National Archives has confirmed to the Oversight Committee that they still have not received all presidential records from the Trump White House," Maloney said in a statement about the letter.

"I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure that all presidential records from the Trump White House are returned to the custody of the government and to make sure these abuses never happen again.”

What we're watching: Wall said the Archives will consult with the DOJ on whether to "initiate an action for the recovery of records unlawfully removed" – as in the case of the DOJ's lawsuit against former White House adviser Peter Navarro in August.

If going by these numbers it appears they were leveraged 5.6 times their capital. Lehman was leveraged 30 times their capital. As far as Deutsch bank goes, no idea on how much they were leveraged. So on the face of it, doesn’t seem as bad as the 2008 crash given they weren’t as over leveraged as Lehman was, however, covid, Ukraine, and rising inflation etc has pretty much maxxed out gov spending. There’s no way they can afford to bail them out and that may cause some very serious contagion in the markets.
