https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/10/03/new-york-times-intentionally-omitted-information-to-produce-hit-piece-targeting-hasidic-jews-leading-to-yeshiva-regulation/

🦍📡🇺🇸🔥🔥👁👁🤬The New York Times published a report in late September targeting Hasidic Yeshivas— alleging students “[know] nothing” and grow up “barely [able] to support their own families” — coinciding with a Board of Regents vote to regulate their religious education. However, Breitbart News has learned that the Times omitted relevant information, shunned sources directly involved with the schools, and declined to publish pertinent on-the-record statements, in pursuing the story — resulting in a fun house mirror hit piece, pressuring the board’s unanimous vote to force state edicts on the religious schools.

Times did not establish communication relevant to reporting with at least two schools the story is based on — titled, “In Hasidic Enclaves, Failing Private Schools Flush With Public Money” — until days before publication, with request for comment on the final product. Breitbart has identified two instances of relevant sources to the story speaking to the Times and having their statements disregarded. One instance the Times accused two schools of the same claim of corporal punishment, and two instances where requests for comment were responded to but never published.

Correspondence between the Times and teachers and administrators from various Hasidic Yeshivas from different sects, reviewed class work from a Hasidic Yeshiva, a breakdown of public funding for a Hasidic Yeshiva, and public data, showing the Times obfuscated information to produce a broad story with little bearing on the complex facts of what it is talking about.

The New York Times “Investigation”

The Times “investigation” hinges its headline on a case where a school administered a Regents exam in 2019, which students failed. The Times then makes the false claim that the Satmar-sect Hasidic school that took the exam, United Talmudic Academy (UTA), “helps set the tone for other schools in the community, including those run by Bobov, Skver, and Viznitz groups.”

The report is bolstered by statements from former members of the Orthodox community and sources the Grey Lady says are current members, alleging that private Jewish schools are “failing by design,” as “generations of children have been systemically denied a basic education, trapping many of them in a cycle of joblessness and dependency.”

The story — which relies on an astonishing assumption that a community of roughly 40,000 families in Brooklyn alone is engaged in a massive and visible conspiracy to abuse their own children — features former members talking about their personal anecdotes, quoting one, for instance, saying his “biggest fear” is that his sons will stay in the Orthodox community, lamenting, they will “get married and start having kids.”

The Times implies the schools are a tool for control of the communities by the rabbis in leadership, and claims these rabbis also coerce politicians via their “voting bloc.”

The Times adds that these schools have “found ways” of receiving a disproportionate amount of public funding, despite noting that Yeshivas “receive far less per pupil than public schools, and they charge tuition.” The Times is not clear whether the public money going to Yeshivas is granted to be spent at their discretion, or whether it comes in the form of food programs, transportation programs, etcetera.

The story, co-bylined by Education reporter Eliza Shapiro and Metro reporter Brian Rosenthal, claims leaders of the boys’ schools were reached out to “on dozens of occasions over the past year” and have refused to engage with the paper. The Times says representatives of the schools only responded after being presented with a summary of its reporting for comment.

News Not Fit to Print

According to documents reviewed by Breitbart News, and statements provided by schools and individuals referred to in the article, Shapiro and Rosenthal did not connect with relevant parties in the over-year-long period they spent working on this report, and, in at least one case, Shapiro shirked the opportunity to speak with a Hasidic teacher who was communicating with her via email and offering her materials to review.

“Wait can you get me inside a Hasidic Yeshiva or not? Really striking that it’s so hard for reporters if there’s nothing to hide right,” Shapiro barked at an Orthodox Jewish user on Twitter on February 18, 2021.

But according to multiple schools referenced in the article who spoke to Breitbart — one of which hosted Breitbart for an hours-long meeting and allowed Breitbart access to reams of schoolwork — the Times did not make an effort to visit or speak to administrators in researching their story.

Administrators at the school that hosted Breitbart, which is one of the largest in the area, said the Times did come, unannounced, to stand outside and snap photos of children exiting the building, but did not initiate a meeting with that school’s administrators.

Another school named in the article informed Breitbart the Times did reach out to them, but only to ask for clarification as to why the school had multiple corporations, and what they were. The school said no meeting was requested, and no information was requested about schoolwork or curricula, achievement rates of students, or anything pertinent to the thrust of the claims made about the school in the story.

Yochonon Donn, a teacher at a Hasidic Yeshiva, shared correspondence with Breitbart between him and Shapiro, from February 18-21, 2021, where the reporter exits the conversation after she learns Donn’s role.

The conversation begins with Donn informing Shapiro that he is a graduate of a Yeshiva, to which she flippantly requests he “let [her] know” if anyone at his alma mater would talk to her for her reporting. Donn replies that he is skeptical about his former Yeshiva’s willingness to talk to the press, but offers her his children’s textbooks.

“Ah yes, classic move when no one has anything to hide :),” Shapiro replies, referring to the school’s trepidation, before asking what company published the textbooks.

“I’m not sure what you meant by that but I can assure you that the vast majority of Yeshivas outperform public schools,” Donn wrote back, linking to performance data on individual Yeshivas.

“But most Hasidic Yeshivas don’t even offer Regents – it’s not a relevant data point! I’ve done my homework on this issue :),” she responds.

“You’d be surprised to learn that many do! The Yeshiva I attended is a Hasidic Yeshiva and they have a full Regents program. I give a writing class in a different Hasidic Yeshiva and they have a full Regents program. Most do, some don’t,” he writes back.

Following a few more messages back and forth, where Shapiro refers to herself as “the most experienced education reporter in New York City,” and “a serious reporter who doesn’t pull punches,” Shapiro asks, “Wait, are you employed by a Yeshiva…?”

“Well, technically yes since I give a weekly class in English writing in a Yeshiva. But I work full time as a reporter,” Donn answers, referring to his career at a Jewish publication, before Shapiro ends the correspondence with, “Got it thanks”.

The two had no further communication, and Shapiro never reached out to Donn on any other occasion, he told Breitbart News.

Shapiro did not respond to request for comment on the correspondence.

“There was a certain angle that she was looking for, as you can see, this is towards the beginning of investigation, if it took almost two years, this is towards the beginning of it,” Donn told Breitbart. “And you see that, basically, she has her mind made up already about Yeshivas — that they’re not doing Regents, that they don’t have an education.”

A Satmar community leader and representative of “Parents for Educational and Religious Liberty in Schools” (PEARLS) told Breitbart News that he spoke to the Times for over an hour about their story on background, but that they did not use any of the information he shared with them.

After the Times’ article was written and reporters began reaching out to relevant parties for comment, two schools, which had not been previously solicited for information, received emails making the exact same accusation, verbatim, that a former student was alleging corporal punishment took place during his time at the Yeshiva.

The claim, sent within a few days to two different schools from different Hasidic sects, was that a former student was “dragged across the room when he was 11, and that his head hit a locker and started to bleed.”

In both instances, the schools that received emails for comment on the incident were the wrong schools named in the accusation, as Hasidic sects splinter off as they grow but keep similar names. The Times was informed that they confused the schools by both parties, along with denials of the incident by both parties. Breitbart News has reviewed both email chains from both schools with the Times. The Times ultimately pinned the accusation on one school and ran it. The schools involved have requested not to be named in this story.

Both schools also provided additional comment to the Times, to address the rest of the claims leveled at them, but those comments were not published.

One school affiliate reached for comment on the final product addressed a number of false claims in the reporting, and provided corrections, which were not applied. That response to the Times was also provided to Breitbart, and reads in part:

“I reached out to the school administrators … and none of them received your email. As an aside, your conflation and confusion between the names of various schools and their affiliation seem to perhaps be endemic in your overall reporting,” the statement begins, and goes on to explain the fact that as sects splinter off, groups become independent of each other while maintaining similar names.

“I would add that I was also very surprised that your article nowhere mentions the extremely high averages of the Regents scores that Yeshiva students achieve. In fact, the majority of the top 20 slots for highest Regents averages for schools in [New York State], are filled by Yeshivas.

“Your email asking for comment stated ‘our highest priority in preparing this article is to ensure that it is accurate, comprehensive and fair,’ yet you asked for comment only in the late 48 hours of a multi-month process; not early on. That is not called ‘fair’.”

The Times did not take any input from the school for the story before publication.

The full, official statement to the Times from the school was:

Our ‘secular’ studies start as young as pre-school; not at age 8-9 that you incorrectly allege. Secondly, ‘Religious’ or ‘Judaic’ studies include history, geography, language, reading, mathematics, ethics and more[,] so it’s misleading to suggest that those hours of study have no bearing or equivalency to public school education; a definition that is not clearly defined and is currently being changed by the Board of Regents. This is borne out by the fact that the majority of the top 20 slots for highest Regents averages, for schools in NYS, are filled by Yeshivas. Third, a public-school student in NY gets on average $25,000 in taxpayer services outside of the food nutrition programs or locally-funded vouchers. Our students get around $1,000 each per year; a fraction of the $25,000. Our school system is therefore a net money saver for taxpayers based on the low cost and more so based on the outcomes: Yeshiva students are not the ones beating up people every weekend in Brooklyn; they are in fact the victims, and Poverty Rates in the Hasidic community, when adjusted for age and family size, is much more aligned with the rest of society.

Despite claiming to have “reviewed thousands of pages of public records, translated dozens of Yiddish-language documents and interviewed more than 275 people,” none of the statement provided by the school was quoted by the Times.

Another school’s response to the Times, which was also provided to Breitbart, was also ignored. That response pointed out two specific incorrect statements made by the Times, which were not followed up on.

The Times was also apparently not aware of the way public funds are spent in the Yeshivas’ case. A breakdown of funds provided to Breitbart News by a Hasidic Yeshiva shows there is not any money going to religious education. Funds come in the form of child care vouchers to parents, child nutrition programs, student transportation, mandated services such as testing and attendance tracking, and college financial aid, where accreditation allows. The school receives $2,500-$5,000 of funding per student.

Judicial Watch: New Documents Reveal COVID-19 Vaccine Studies Used by HHS were Conducted in China

Updated 10/3/22

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it received 115 pages of records from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) revealing previously redacted locations of COVID-19 vaccine testing facilities in Shanghai, China. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had claimed the name and location of the testing facilities were protected by the confidential commercial information exemption of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

The records were obtained through a September 2021 FOIA lawsuit filed after the FDA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease failed to respond to a June 7, 2021, FOIA request for all biodistribution studies and data for the COVID-19 vaccines (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (No. 1:21-cv-02418)).

The newly unredacted documents reveal the following Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine studies’ locations:

A document with the filename, “ s_r_IND 19736 0 105 2.6.5 pharmkintabulated-summary” identifies all in vitro metabolic stability studies of ALC-0315 and ALC-0159 (synthetic lipids in the vaccines) were conducted at Medicilon Preclinical Research LLC, a testing facility located in Shanghai, China.

A document with the filename, “s_r_IND 19736-0-253 Section 2.6.5 pharmkintabulated-summary” identifies that all in vitro metabolic stability studies of ALC-0315 and ALC-0159 were conducted at Medicilon Preclinical Research LLC, a testing facility located in Shanghai, China.

Additionally, Study 18350 was conducted at a Charles River testing facility in Tranent, UK

A document with the filename, “s_pharmkin-tabulated-summary.pdf” notes that all in vitro metabolic stability studies of ALC-0315 and ALC-0159 were conducted at Medicilon Preclinical Research LLC, a testing facility located in “Shanghai, China.”

The document adds that Study 18350 was conducted at a Charles River testing facility in Tranent, UK.

A document titled “FINAL REPORT” with the filename, “s_r_185350.pdf” and the logo, “Charles River” lists the TESTING FACILITY as “Charles River Laboratories Edinburgh Ltd. Elphinstone Research Centre Tranent, East Lothian EH33 2NE, UK”

“The Biden administration’s stonewalling and shell games about the COVID vaccines further undermine public confidence in these controversial drugs,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Americans are now going to want to know why did the Biden operation try to hide COVID vaccine ties to China!”

In El Salvador, army surrounds town to root out gang

https://news.yahoo.com/el-salvador-army-surrounds-town-220758176.html

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) — More than 2,000 soldiers and police surrounded and closed off a town in El Salvador Sunday in order to search for street gang members accused in a killing.

The large-scale encirclement of the town of Comasagua is the latest example of heavy-handed tactics by the government to root out street gangs. Everyone entering or leaving the town was questioned or searched.

President Nayib Bukele wrote in his Twitter account that members of the MS-13 gang were believed to still be inside Comasagua, about 20 miles (30 kms) southwest of the capital, San Salvador.

Bukele requested Congress grant him extraordinary powers after gangs were blamed for 62 killings on March 26, and that decree has been renewed every month since then. It suspends some Constitutional rights and gives police more powers to arrest and hold suspects.

So, far the emergency decree has resulted in the arrest of 53,485 people, of whom 47,893 were charged.

Under the state of exception, the right of association, the right to be informed of the reason for an arrest and access to a lawyer are suspended. The government also can intervene in the calls and mail of anyone they consider a suspect. The time someone can be held without charges is extended from three days to 15 days.

Rights activists say young men are frequently arrested just based on their age, on their appearance or whether they live in a gang-dominated slum.

El Salvador’s gangs, which have been estimated to count some 70,000 members in their ranks, have long controlled swaths of territory and extorted and killed with impunity.

Truss exposes the current instability of Western democracies

Quite simply, the fact that the Truss mini-budget provided for billions of pounds worth of unfunded and uncosted tax cuts – including, most provocatively, a cut in the 45% top level income tax rate – caused the financial markets to register a serious vote of no confidence in the Truss government, with all the attendant consequences that followed.

DAVID SOUTHWELL goes behind the scenes at Australia's 'anti woke conference' - where extremists describe climate change as a 'scam' and declare there are only two genders

Weekend CPAC gathering in Sydney was the conference of all things anti-woke

People posed with 'Trump' and applauded any saying there's only two genders

Tony Abbott told how he was kicked out of class for questioning climate change

Left-wing protesters chanted outside and at tried to break into the building

I spent Saturday in the land that woke forgot.

It was a place where the national anthem was played, stood up for and respectfully sung along with, where climate change was described as a 'cult', 'religion' or a 'scam' and every declaration that there are only two genders was a guaranteed applause line.

I was at the Australian CPAC (conservative political action conference) held over the weekend at Sydney's Darling Harbour International Convention Centre.

It was what the unkind might describe as a gathering of right-wing nutjobs, conspiracy theory kooks and reactionary throwbacks.

That's obviously why I went.

It was certainly the right place to be for a selfie with Donald Trump.

The former US president wasn't there in person but was represented by a, perhaps suitably shallow, life-sized cardboard cut-out image giving a broad smile and (tiny handed?) thumb's up to attendees as they walked towards the main auditorium.

After enjoying such an un-PC Make Australia Great Again smile I was a little disappointed conference proceedings kicked off with a very respectful Welcome to Country, that even drew good applause.

That applause was dwarfed, however, by the enthusiasm that greeted the very pointed welcome to both the colonised and colonisers made by Indigenous Senator Jacinta Price, who gave a rousing opening speech.

For a bunch of ratbag right-wingers it was a polite crowd, that skewed towards grey haired but not exclusively so.

The speakers were a line-up of conservative Aussie politicians, or former ones, along with Sky News commentators and a sprinkling of overseas guests, most from the US and UK, with the best known one being British Brexit figurehead Nigel Farage.

Former Russian president comments on Musk’s Ukraine proposal

Dmitry Medvedev joked the tycoon was a secret Russian agent who blew his own cover

After Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Kiev’s online troll army savaged Elon Musk’s proposal for ending the conflict with Russia, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev jokingly called the Tesla and SpaceX founder a “shadowy agent” of the Kremlin, comparing him to Stierlitz, the legendary fictional Soviet spy.

“Kudos to [Elon Musk]! However, the shadowy agent has lost the cover. Deserves a new rank, fast. His next tweet will run like, Ukraine is an artificial state. Anticipating…” Medvedev tweeted, in English, on Monday evening.

On his Telegram channel, in Russian, instead of “shadowy agent” the former president calledMusk “Eustace” – a reference to the code name of the main character in the Soviet-era series ‘17 Moments of Spring,’ better known under his German alias Otto von Stierlitz.

Both references were clearly tongue-in-cheek and poked fun not at Musk, but at the utter hysterics of the Ukrainian government and its online influencers over the American billionaire’s earnest peace proposal.

Crimea would remain Russian and have its water supply guaranteed, Ukraine would declare neutrality, and the four regions that just joined Russia hold UN-supervised referendums on their fate, Musk suggested earlier in the day. The poll was quickly swamped by what he called the “biggest bot attack I’ve ever seen.”

It wasn’t just Kiev’s info-warriors and their Western NAFO backers, however. Ukraine’s departing ambassador to Germany used some very un-diplomatic language, while President Vladimir Zelensky himself launched a pollasking his followers if they preferred Musk who supported Ukraine over this one, who “supports Russia.”

Early on in the conflict, Musk sent hundreds of SpaceX’s Starlink satellites and terminals to Ukraine. Though their stated purpose was humanitarian, Kiev has since admitted to using them for the war effort.

Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, citing Kiev’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements, designed to give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state. The protocols, brokered by Germany and France, were first signed in 2014. Former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko has since admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces.”

Moscow also demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join any Western military bloc. Kiev has rejected this, insisting that the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked.

Poll shows big shift in party preference for US midterms

Democrats have slipped from a seven-point lead to a three-point deficit heading into congressional election

US voter concerns over issues such as inflation and crime appear to be giving Republicans an edge over Democrats heading into November’s midterm congressional elections, a new poll has revealed.

The Monmouth University poll, which was conducted in late September and released on Monday, showed that 47% of Americans prefer that Republicans regain control of Congress, compared with 44% who want Democrats to remain in charge. The September result marked a major shift from just one month earlier, when Democrats held a 50-43 lead over Republicans.

Monmouth’s latest poll also may portend an advantage for the GOP in terms of voter turnout. While 58% of respondents who identify as Democrat believe it’s “very important” that their preferred party controls Congress, 62% of Republicans see the midterm results that way. In fact, voter enthusiasm among Democrats by that measure is at the lowest level this year and has dropped by five percentage points in the past month.

Rising concerns over the issues that voters consider most important appear to be hurting Democrats because the party’s leader, President Joe Biden, is struggling in those categories. For instance, 82% of Americans see inflation as “very important” or “extremely important” heading into the midterms, and Biden has an approval rating of only 30% on the issue. Crime ranks as the No. 2 concern, at 72%, and just 32% of Americans approve of the president’s handling of the issue. Biden has a 31% rating on immigration, which ranks as a top five issue with 67% of respondents citing it as at least very important.

The president’s highest approval rating, 50%, is on the Covid-19 pandemic, which only 32% of Americans see as highly important, down from 72% a year ago, the poll showed. Concerns over such issues as climate change, racial inequality and infrastructure – topics that might tend to favor Democrats – also have waned.

“Obviously, the Republicans are hitting away at issues where Biden – and by extension, the Democratic Party – is weakest,” said Patrick Murray, director of Monmouth’s polling institute. “But it’s also worth noting that Biden does not provide a rallying point for Democratic voters on some of the issues, such as abortion, that his party is leaning on to motivate its own base.”

While Republicans and Democrats are predictably polarized on key topics, Biden’s weakest issue, inflation, is the only category cited as highly important by at least 75% of independents. The president’s overall approval rating remained at 38% in September, two points above the low-water mark he reached in June. About half of Americans believe he’s doing worse than they expected, compared with 21% who say he’s outperforming their expectations.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s fake National Anti-Corruption Commission fails whistleblowers

PM Anthony Albanese and the Labor Party have backflipped on their election promise for a powerful National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). One of the ways they have done that is by making sure as few whistleblowers come forward as possible which is designed to cover up Labor Party corruption in future years.

That will mean the new Federal NACC will start running low on the amount of corruption they have to investigate once they have dealt with corruption in the past by the coalition government of the last nine years. And possibly going back to the John Howard, Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard years as well. But even investigations into past corruption will be limited without better protection for whistleblowers.

The key points of the fake National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) are:

Bare minimum protection for whistleblowers.

They have backflipped on their election promise for public hearings which will now only happen in exceptional circumstances.

Massive Breach of Open justice – This is also in part designed to intimidate whistleblowers from not coming forward.

The Anthony Albanese government hates whistleblowers just as much as the Scott Morrison government did and the proof is that they are still prosecuting Australian Tax Office whistleblower Richard Boyle and war crimes whistleblower David McBride. And I have no doubt part of the reason the Albanese government is still prosecuting them is to send a

Bare minimum protection for whistleblowers

What fuels all anti-corruption bodies investigating corruption is having as many whistleblowers come forward as possible and Anthony Albanese and the Labor Party know that. So, they have made sure as few as possible will come forward in the future who could blow the whistle on corruption in their government.

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus told the media this blatant lie:

The legislation would provide “strong protections for whistleblowers” which is based on “The National Anti-Corruption Commission bill will have its own whistleblower protections, as is appropriate for Australian public servants and people working in the public sector who come forward with allegations that the commission should look at,”

And some journalists and commentators repeated the lie as a fact such as Barrister Geoffrey Watson in the SMH who said: “The legislation provides for comprehensive whistleblower protection”. (Click here to read more)

But others exposed the truth such as Transparency International Australia which reported (28/9/22):

The government gave an election pledge that its package would be “extremely similar” to the integrity commission models previously introduced by the Greens, McGowan and her successor, Dr Helen Haines.

However the bill differs substantially from Haines’ model by not including a whistleblowing commissioner, identified by past parliamentary inquiries as also central to a strengthened integrity system.

Despite recently telling parliament the government was taking the idea of a whistleblower protection authority “very seriously indeed”, it got no mention in the Attorney-General’s speech introducing the new commission.

The government has committed to fix overdue, minor problems with federal public sector whistleblowing laws. But it’s yet to outline plans to address more serious reforms to plug this gap, including an agency to actually enforce protections and make them real.

It remains to be seen whether all these historic integrity reforms, when complete, will be enough to reverse Australia’s decade-long slide on Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index. (Click here to read more)

What You Need to Know

The lawsuit asks for nearly half a billion dollars in damages after CNN “propagated its political views.”

Trump says the expression of bias against him is enough to meet the actual malice standard needed for the suit to survive.

The former president quotes the late Circuit Judge Lawrence Silberman in the filing.

Former President Donald Trump filed a defamation suit against CNN Monday after claiming the broadcaster defamed him by propagating “fake news” and calling him a series of labels culminating in repeated comparisons to Adolf Hitler.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, argues CNN’s coverage is biased, and that bias was particularly harsh against Trump.

Trump sues CNN for defamation

wtrf.com/hill-politics/trump-sues-cnn-for-defamation

The Hill via Nexstar Media Wire October 3, 2022

(The Hill) – Former President Trump has sued CNN in federal court in Florida for defamation.

In the lawsuit filed Monday, Trump’s attorneys claim CNN “has sought to use its massive influence

— purportedly as a ‘trusted’ news source

— to defame the Plaintiff in the minds of its viewers and readers for the purpose of defeating him politically, culminating in CNN claiming credit for ‘[getting] Trump out’ in the 2020 presidential election.”

The former president is seeking $475 million in punitive damages, according to the lawsuit.

Trump announced his intent to sue the network earlier this summer, saying in a statement he would “also be commencing actions against other media outlets who have defamed me and defrauded the public regarding the overwhelming evidence of fraud throughout the 2020 Election.”

The former president’s attorneys allege in the filing that CNN “has undertaken a smear campaign to malign the Plaintiff with a barrage of negative associations and innuendos, broadcasting commentary that he is like a cult leader, a Russian lackey, a dog whistler to white supremacists, and a racist.”

It also cited anchors, personalities, and pundits on CNN using the term “Big Lie” to refer to Trump’s repeated false statements about the 2020 election and voter fraud as evidence of the outlet attempting to associate him with Adolf Hitler.

In order to prove defamation, public officials and other public figures must prove journalists acted with actual malice or reckless disregard for the truth in their reporting, a high legal bar to clear given First Amendment protections granted to the free press under the Constitution. The New York Times, for example, has not lost a defamation case in more than 50 years.

CNN is a frequent foil of Trump, his followers, and allies, as well as conservatives more generally.

In 2020, the network settled a $275 million lawsuit brought by a high school student in Kentucky who was at the center of a viral video controversy and became a lightning rod for critics of the mainstream media.

Trump’s campaign also sued the New York Times in 2019 over an op-ed suggesting a “quid pro quo” with Russian officials.

The latest lawsuit from the former president comes amid big changes at CNN, which was recently sold to media conglomerate Discovery.

CNN’s new president, Chris Licht, has made several changes to the network’s programming and personnel, scrapping its Sunday show focused on media affairs and telling staff at the network he would like to see a renewed commitment to journalism over punditry and speculation.

Licht reportedly told network anchors in a meeting earlier this year that they should rein in the use of the phrase “the big lie” when referring to Trump’s election claims, worrying it was too partisan.

The network declined to comment on Trump’s lawsuit Monday.

Tucker Carlson: Tony Blinken’s Statement Is an Admission the US Was Behind Nord Stream Pipeline Bombings

Tucker Carlson: “Last Tuesday the largest act of industrial terrorism in our lifetimes was a baffling crime said Tony Blinken. But by Friday that same event had become a “tremendous opportunity,” effectively a tremendous strategic opportunity for the years to come. It’s a good thing. Now that’s an admission. That’s the clearest admission we’re ever going to get.”

Report: ‘Election Integrity’ Project Worked with Feds to Censor News Sites in 2020

Allum Bokhari3 Oct 2022

A coalition of globalist nonprofits, academic institutions, and one private company reportedly worked with arms of the federal government and Democrat activist organizations to censor news websites in the runup to the 2020 election, and plans to do so again in 2022.

The consortium, called the Election Integrity Partnership, is made up of four organizations: the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO), the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public, the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, and Graphika, a social media analytics company.

In the runup to the 2020 election, the consortium created a system whereby state actors including the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department could file “tickets” alongside news stories, flagging them so that Big Tech platforms could subsequently suppress or attach warning labels to them.

Beyond this blatant case of a private-public censorship coalition, the EIP also engaged in partisan politics, allowing the Democratic National Committee to file tickets through the system, as well as the Democrat-aligned groups Common Cause and the NAACP.

News outlets targeted by the EIP included Breitbart News, Fox News, the New York Post, and the Epoch Times, as well as the social media accounts of prominent conservatives Charlie Kirk, Tom Fitton, Jack Posobiec, Mark Levin, James O’Keefe, and Sean Hannity, amongst others.

President Donald Trump was also frequently flagged by the consortium, as well as his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.

New light was shed on the project through the voluntary disclosures of its own activities, published in a recent report.

According to the report, the EIP was successful in censoring content on social media. In 21 percent of cases, platforms labeled content identified by the EIP, and in 13 percent of cases, the content was removed from the platforms entirely.

The Democrat-aligned EIP, working hand-in-glove with the deep state, was therefore able to have a tangible impact on restricting the information voters were able to see on social media in the runup to the 2020 election.

Having successfully interfered with the 2020 election, the EIP is now gearing up to influence the upcoming midterms. “We’re getting the band back together (with several improvements) for the midterms,” said Kate Starbird of the Center for an Informed Public, in a tweet this August.

Pass the trash- Episode 2, The Illegal Alien Shuffle

El Paso's 'hypocritical' Democrats are working with the White House to quietly bus THOUSANDS of migrants north using federal money – but unlike Govs. Abbott, Ducey and DeSantis they tout it as a 'humanitarian' mission

The White House slams Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott for using migrants as a 'political tool' by busing them to northern cities

But it works alongside Democrat-led El Paso, Texas, doing much the same

DailyMail.com visited the frontier city, which is battling a surge of some 1,500 arrivals daily

City and county officials are spending millions on shelters, hotels, bus charters, and new transit hubs

Unlike Abbot, El Paso officials call their bus program a 'humanitarian effort'

More than 5,000 arrivals have been sent north to Chicago and New York City since August 23

A surge has in recent weeks overwhelmed El Paso, with migrants sleeping on the streets by the bus station

The city spends $250,000-$300,000 daily on migrants, aided by federal funds

Destinations including New York and Chicago struggle to manage busloads of newcomers from the border

Have your say: vote in our poll about Joe Biden's immigration policy

October 3, 2022

The Democrat-led border city of El Paso, Texas, has been quietly working with the Biden administration to spend millions of dollars of federal money busing thousands of migrants to northern sanctuary cities, including New York and Chicago, DailyMail.com can reveal.

While the Republican governors of Texas and Arizona – Greg Abbott and Doug Ducey – have made headlines sending migrants to liberal northern cities to spotlight the crisis on the southern frontier, El Paso is doing much the same, just without the fanfare.

For some, El Paso's migrant-busing policy showcases how Democrat-led administrations are downplaying the crisis on America's border, speedily processing thousands of arrivals each day at a warehouse in the desert and packing them on to buses north.

It also opens up President Joe Biden's administration to accusations of hypocrisy – for criticizing the migrant-busing policies of Abbott and Ducey while cooperating when liberal El Paso does much the same, albeit under a different label.

DailyMail.com visited the border to see the migrant surge first hand. We witnessed a steady flow of people crossing the Rio Grande river by foot, handing themselves into border guards, being processed and then sent on buses northwards by local officials.

'The hypocrisy on display right now by Democrats and coastal elites is a thing to behold,' said R.J. Hauman, an analyst at the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a policy group.

'Transporting illegal aliens into American communities is either perfectly fine or inhumane. It just depends who sends them and where they go.'

=McCaskill: We Need to ‘Push’ Religious Leaders to Speak Out Against Trump

Pam Key3 Oct 2022

(They are going insane, what kind of shit did McCaskill do?)

MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill said Monday on “Deadline” that religious leaders need to be pushed to criticize former President Donald Trump.

The panel was discussing Trump saying on Truth Social Saturday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had a “death wish” for supporting Democrats’ bills. He referred to McConnell’s wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, as “China-loving wife, Coco Chow.”

McCaskill said, “I’m just worn slick being ashamed and disappointed at my former friends who are not standing up to this kind of disgusting behavior. I am just worn slick. Now, here’s a sentence that Mitch McConnell should practice in front of the mirror. I may vote for the Republican nominee, but I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure it’s not Donald Trump. They should all try that out. Liz Cheney is doing it. She’s saying she will do everything in her power to keep Donald Trump from power again. And that’s what they should all be doing.”

She added, “We’ve said on this show, week after week, and called out the cowardice of the Republican leaders, their failures to do the right thing. One of the things that we have done with extremism around the globe and even in this country is go out to communities and talk to leaders, particularly religious leaders. Maybe it’s time to call on all of the rabbis and priests and imams and ministers, especially Evangelical ministers, to ask them to take — Evangelical ministers should take the Gospel and put it up against what Donald Trump is doing and talk about that guns are not the answer, and violence is not the answer. Ministers and religious leaders in this country need to start taking a leadership role. They are sitting back and letting Donald Trump speak with moral authority with the immoral things he says and does? It is unbelievable to me. Republicans, I’ve given up on. Maybe religious leaders, maybe we should start trying to push them more.”

Monmouth Poll Shows 10 Point Swing Toward GOP to Control Congress Since August

The latest Monmouth University poll released on Monday showed that there had been a massive ten-point swing from August to September in favor of Republicans controlling Congress after the midterms.

The latest poll showed that the ten-point swing happened between the August and September polls. Overall the September poll showed that 47 percent would prefer the Republicans to control Congress compared to the 44 percent who said, Democrats:

Republicans: 36 percent

Doesn’t matter, but lean GOP: 11 percent

Democrats: 34 percent

Doesn’t matter, but lean Dem: Ten percent

Doesn’t matter, no lean: Eight percent

Don’t know: Two percent

Overall in August, the same poll showed at the time that 50 percent would prefer the Democrats to control Congress compared to the 43 percent who said, Republicans:

Republicans: 34 percent

Doesn’t matter, but lean GOP: Nine percent

Democrats: 38 percent

Doesn’t matter, but lean Dem: 12 percent

Doesn’t matter, no lean: Five percent

Don’t know: One percent

Additionally, with 36 days left before the election, inflation and crime were at the top of the list for what the respondents said were “extremely” or “very” important.

Eighty-two percent said inflation was “extremely” or “very” important, while 72 percent said crime, and 70 percent said elections and voting. At the bottom of the respondents’ concerns were climate change at 49 percent, the coronavirus pandemic at 32 percent, and student loan debt at 31 percent.

Moreover, 54 percent of the poll’s respondents also said it is “very important” to their party in control of Congress, while 22 percent said it’s “somewhat important,” 11 percent said “only a little important,” and 12 percent said they don’t know.

Furthermore, 59 percent said they are “extremely motivated” to vote in this year’s election, while 17 percent said “very motivated,” 13 percent said “somewhat motivated,” ten percent said “not motivated,” and one percent said they “don’t know.”

The Monmouth University poll was conducted from September 21 to 25 with a random sample of 806 adults, with a margin of error plus or minus 3.5 percent and a 95 percent confidence level.

Hunter Biden Probe To Look Into 'What Happened In 2020': Jim Jordan

If the GOP takes a majority in the House, one of the “key elements” of its investigatory plans into Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, next year will involve looking into “what happened in 2020,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).

Just weeks before the 2020 presidential election, the New York Post ran a story about Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings in Ukraine and China, which was promptly dismissed as dubious by mainstream media outlets and suppressed on social media platforms.

At the time, 51 former intelligence officials signed a letter claiming that the New York Post’s story had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” In an interview with Breitbart, Jordan said that he wants to know on what intelligence the 51 former officials based their letter.

“We had 51 former intelligence officials tell us that this was Russian disinformation. We had the FBI sit down with Facebook and say, ‘Hey, be careful, wink wink. We think there’s Russian disinformation.’ … All that was done to suppress that story, which had an impact on how people voted in the most important election we have, the election for president of the United States,” Jordan told Breitbart.

“Did someone from The New York Times tell them something? Did someone from the FBI leak some false—was it this Timothy Thibault, who [has] since left the FBI, who suppressed that information at the FBI? I want to know. That’s pretty important stuff, so I really want to look into that angle.”

Most of the investigative activities related to Hunter Biden would be headquartered at the Oversight Committee, with Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) expected to lead it. Jordan will continue to remain a member and chair of the Judiciary. Comer plans to look into Hunter Biden’s suspicious banking and business transactions, he added.

Protecting Documents

Jordan had recently signed a letter together with other Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee asking former FBI official Timothy Thibault not to destroy or alter documents related to the Hunter Biden investigation that are in his possession.

“Whistleblowers have come to Congress alleging that you were part of a scheme to undermine and discredit allegations of criminal wrongdoing by members of the Biden family. Accordingly, we believe that you possess information relating to our investigation and we request your assistance with our inquiry,” the letter said.

Prior to leaving the FBI last month, Thibault worked at the agency’s Washington Field Office. In July, he came under scrutiny after a whistleblower revealed that the former FBI agent had suppressed information the agency had about Hunter Biden’s financial activities.

In July, whistleblowers revealed to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) that FBI bureau officials labeled evidence against Hunter Biden as disinformation and that there are “systemic and existential problems” within the agency as well as the Justice Department.

Senate Republicans Target Amalgamated Bank Over Credit Card Gun Control Play

AWR Hawkins3 Oct 2022

Twenty-eight Senate Republicans are zeroing in on Amalgamated Bank over credit card companies’ September 2022 decisions to recategorize gun sales in a way that allows them to be flagged.

On September 11, Breitbart News reportedthat Visa caved to Democrat pressure and agreed to give firearm sales a standalone merchant code. New York Democrats wanted the code for the purpose of flagging purchases they consider suspicious.

Mastercard and American Express gave in as well, with Mastercard going so far as to praise Congress for the midsummer passage of gun control.

Insider/Yahoo News pointed to a statement from Mastercard, which said, “We understand and appreciate the significant policy imperative in reducing gun violence and see the recent bipartisan action in Congress as a positive step. We believe it is that type of effort that will meaningfully address the tragic gun violence facing the country.”

When the Associated Press noted that Visa, Mastercard, and American Express would begin using a new merchant code for firearms, they stressed that the merchant code came from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

But 28 Republican senators believe Amalgamated Bank is central to the adoption of the new merchant code. They sent a letter to Amalgamated Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Priscilla Sims Brown, putting Brown and her bank on notice.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), one of the letter’s signatories, posted portions of the letter, which said, “Your bank is attempting to restrict the Second Amendment rights of Americans by going around the democratic process. You should expect Congressional oversight of your actions.”

The letter continued:

It is clear from Amalgamated Bank’s website that it has fully embraced an anti-firearm agenda. Whether it is choosing to debank firearms manufacturers, forcing all commercial clients to adopt anti-gun control codes, or divesting customer assets from lawful businesses, these decisions demonstrate your attempt to force your political views on law-abiding Americans. If you want to change gun policy, you should run for office and make yourself accountable to voters. What’s worse, these actions weren’t enough for you, so you set your sights on forcing these radical and discriminatory policies on the entire financial system.

Let us be clear: weaponizing the financial system to enact far-left political goals is inexcusable… You should consider this notice to retain all communications involving your role in ISO’s categorization scheme, and you should anticipate testifying before Congress in the near future.

A Senate Judiciary Committee Aide spoke to Breitbart News about the senators’ letter and what it portends, saying, “The Republican Senators are aware of Amalgamated’s role in causing this and plan on holding them accountable.”

The aide added, “Should Republicans take back the Senate, both the Senate Banking Committee is going to look into whether Amalgamated has complied with all banking regulations while it’s pushing partisan-leftwing policies, and the Senate Judiciary Committee is going to investigate communications between Amalgamated Bank and ISO to restrict Second Amendment Rights. ”

DeSantis Challenger Charlie Crist Suggests Hurricane Response Must Include Addressing Climate Change

Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL), the Democrat challenging Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in Florida’s upcoming gubernatorial election, suggested this week that hurricane response must include addressing climate change as he seemingly blamed the size and intensity of recent storms on the phenomenon.

“These storms are going to continue to come, but we also need to address climate change for crying out loud,” Crist said during a recent appearance on MSNBC, seemingly blaming the size and intensity of Hurricane Ian on climate change.

“They’re getting bigger. They’re getting stronger. You know the size of this storm, you could have put three Hurricane Charleys, which hit the same part of Florida, inside the eye of Ian. I mean, so there’s proof positive that we need to address climate change,” he said.

“We need to have better preparation when these storms start coming our way. We need to be on watch. Prepared. Utilize the funds that are in the current budget for structural soundness of these homes so that a catastrophe to this degree doesn’t happen again,” the Democrat added:

Crist is hardly the only Democrat to blame hurricanes on climate change, as failed presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) made a similar assertion last week, generating mockery across social media.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Klobuchar bragged of Democrats doing “something about climate change for the first time in decades.”

“That’s why we’ve got to win this, as that hurricane bears down on Florida. We got a win in the midterms,” she added:

Her response generated significant mockery as many pointed out that Florida has experienced hurricanes throughout recorded history.

Indeed, hundreds of hurricanes have hit the U.S. coast throughout history, but the U.S. has only regularly recorded the extreme weather events for about the last 171 years, as records trace back to 1851. Regardless, from 1851 to current day, hundreds have smashed into U.S. coastlines. Even TIME recognized this, citing data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA):

Data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows that there have been more than 300 hurricanes that have directly hit the U.S. coastline since 1851, of which more than 80% of those hit just three states — Florida, Texas, and Louisiana.

While Hurricane Ian will certainly go down in history as an extremely devastating storm, it is hardly the first, despite the left’s suggestions otherwise.

For example, NOAA identifies the 1935 “Labor Day hurricane” as a record-setting storm, with the lowest central pressure at the time of its U.S. landfall on the Florida Keys.

Hurricane Katrina in 2005 caused the highest storm surge recorded, and the Galveston Texas Hurricane of 1900 — 122 years ago — is recorded as the deadliest hurricane hitting the U.S. specifically, as the Category 4 storm caused between 8,000 and 12,000 deaths, per NOAA data.

It remains unclear what specific policy Democrat politicians believe would actually alter extreme weather, lessening the size, intensity, and frequency of hurricanes.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/10/03/desantis-challenger-charlie-crist-suggests-hurricane-response-must-include-addressing-climate-change/

God Almighty, kill the climate change nonsense once and for all, freeze all the assholes in warm climates, to prove you are in charge.

Georgia election probe enters new phase with search warrants

https://apnews.com/article/2022-midterm-elections-donald-trump-georgia-atlanta-f8222a15b5af7a789a77e8cee372c7b4

ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia prosecutor investigating whether former President Donald Trump and his allies broke the law trying to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state is seeking search warrants in the case, a sign that the wide-ranging probe has entered a new phase.

The revelation came Monday in a court order filed by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney, who’s overseeing the special grand jury seated to help the investigation. In an order sealing any search warrants and related documents from being made public, McBurney wrote that District Attorney Fani Willis’ office is “now seeking to obtain and execute a series of search warrants, the affidavits for which are predicated on sensitive information acquired during the investigation.”

Disclosure of the information could compromise the investigation, McBurney wrote, “by, among other things, causing flight from prosecution, destruction of or tampering with evidence, and intimidation of potential witnesses.” It could also result in risks to the “safety and well-being” of people involved in the investigation, he wrote.

Nolte: Planned Parenthood to Park Mobile Abortion Clinic at Red State Borders

John Nolte3 Oct 2022

As you read the piece below, never forget that the pro-baby-killing fanatics at Planned Parenthood receive hundreds of millions of your tax dollars every year…

Imagine being so demonic and desperate to butcher unborn babies that you create a mobile baby-killing machine to park on the borders of red states that have restricted or outlawed the barbaric, obscene and medically unnecessary act of elective abortion…

Courtesy of Planned Parenthood’s fellow welfare queens at the far-left NPR:

With a growing number of patients in states that now prohibit abortion traveling for the procedure, Planned Parenthood says [sic] will soon open its first mobile abortion clinic in the country, in southern Illinois.

“Our goal is to reduce the hundreds of miles that people are having to travel now in order to access care…and meet them where they are,” said Yamelsie Rodriguez, President of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, said [sic] in an interview with NPR.

The mobile clinic will begin offering consultations and dispensing abortion pills later this year. It will operate within Illinois, where abortion remains legal, but will be able to travel closer to neighboring states’ borders, reducing the distance many patients travel for the procedure.

The plan — naturally — is for Planned Parenthood to expand its mobile baby-killing machines in the future.

Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, a racist eugenicist who wanted to exterminate the black race. Two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton is a big Margaret Sanger fan.

Of the 60 or so million babies murdered by way of abortion since 1973, some 18 million were black babies. So, while black people make up about 13 percent of the population, their babies make up about 30 percent of abortions. So, mission accomplished, right Planned Parenthood?

Gee, I wonder which population centers Planned Parenthood’s death vans will park near?

Just like mutilating children forever in the name of “trans rights” is big-big-big business, so too is killing babies — especially black babies.

Planned Parenthood isn’t looking to bring medical care to anyone. They see a profit in this. Millions and millions in profit. This death cult isn’t just a death cult; it’s a lucrative death cult to the tune of $1.6 billion in revenue per year.

Planned Parenthood regularly lies about how “only three percent” of its services are abortion services.

Yeah, right… That’s why Planned Parenthood is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase and equip mobile baby-killing factories.

If baby-butchering was only three percent, Planned Parenthood could easily set up abortion-free Planned Parenthood clinics in states that have outlawed the unnecessary obscenity of elective abortions. But Planned Parenthood doesn’t. In fact, Planned Parenthood exits states that cut taxpayer funding for abortion clinics. In other words, rather than stop performing abortions, these baby killers would prefer to close altogether. But-but-but you told me abortion only makes up three percent of your services?

Planned Parenthood is not about health care; it’s about a lucrative and racist death cult. So lucrative, they will drive their infanticide machines right to your door.

Wow that sounds very safe!

Major Medical Orgs Demand That The DOJ Prosecute People Who Share ‘Misleading’ Information Online

The American Medical Association (AMA) sent Attorney General Merrick Garland a letter Monday calling on him to “investigate the organizations, individuals, and entities coordinating, provoking, and carrying out bomb threats and threats of personal violence against children’s hospitals and physicians across the U.S.”

“The attacks are rooted in an intentional campaign of disinformation, where a few high-profile users on social media share false and misleading information targeting individual physicians and hospitals, resulting in a rapid escalation of threats, harassment, and disruption of care across multiple jurisdictions,” the AMA, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) said in the letter. “Our organizations have called on technology companies to do more to prevent this practice on digital platforms, and we now urge your office to take swift action to investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities responsible.”

The AMA, AAP and CHA also called on TikTok, Twitter and Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) to use “safety and hateful conduct policies” to prevent “coordinated campaigns of disinformation.”

Multiple media outlets reported hospitals across the country promoted gender transitions to minors, including ones at Vanderbilt University, the University of Virginia and the University of Wisconsin. Hospitals responded by taking down videos and websites discussing transitions for children.

“The AMA has lost all credibility,” Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw posted on Twitter.
