Here are the potential terrorist threats to the Super Bowl, according to the FBI and DHS

Iran, Black separatists and the Islamic State group: These are just a few of the myriad potential threats to the Super Bowl this year, according to a government threat assessment obtained by Yahoo News.

The Jan. 27 document, a product of federal agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, and local law enforcement, notes that there is no information on a specific credible threat planned against the Super Bowl but outlines a variety of potential threats, from terrorists poisoning the food or water supply to an attack using commercial drones. It also states “the FBI and DHS remain concerned about potential retaliatory attacks” by Iran in response to the U.S. assassination of Gen. Qassem Soleimani last year.

“Although security measures will be in place around Super Bowl LV and adjacent areas on the day of the game, Super Bowl LV and associated events are likely an attractive target due to the relatively high concentration of attendees, symbolism of the event, and the significant national media attention the event will receive,” the assessment says.

The report, called a Joint Special Event Threat Assessment, is produced for a variety of high-profile gatherings and distributed to local, state and federal agencies.

Tom Warrick, a former senior Department of Homeland Security official, says the idea of a threat against the Super Bowl is not surprising given events in recent years. “Decades ago, NFL security’s worry was someone running onto the field,” he said. “Today they’re already thinking about militia groups and lone wolves — whether they’re listed in a DHS threat assessment or not.”

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa on Feb. 7. In 2020, more than 60,000 people attended the Super Bowl, but due to current COVID-19 restrictions, only about 25,000 are expected this year.

While the report references the threat from domestic violent extremists, in addition to more traditional foreign terrorist organizations, it makes no specific mention of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. The Department of Homeland Security did, however, issue a general advisory bulletin last week warning about the heightened threat from violent extremists objecting to the presidential transition or fueled by conspiracy theories.

Former FBI Agent Mike German, who reviewed a copy of the Super Bowl threat assessment provided by Yahoo News, noted that the document references the potential threat from “black separatism” among domestic extremists but does not mention white supremacists. He said the document’s citation of extremists motivated by “racism or injustice in American society” appeared to be a “clearly inappropriate reference to Black Lives Matter activists peacefully protesting police violence.”

“The report basically says, ‘We don’t have any specific information about a particularized threat, but here are a hundred things that could go wrong.’ How could that be useful to anyone but an agency that wants to be able to say ‘We told you so’ if any one of the hundred possible threats is realized?” said German, who is now a fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice.

German said the report’s grab bag list of threats was not helpful for law enforcement, whose job it is to help secure the event. “It would be silly if it wasn’t so dangerous,” he said. “What is the point of including the detailed warning about the radio broadcasted threat that Iranians would fly a plane into the U.S. Capitol to avenge Soleimani’s death, only to say the government does not regard the threat as credible? Why recirculate and amplify it through the intelligence network if it isn’t credible? Especially because the report doesn’t even mention the actual attack on the U.S. Capitol by white supremacists and far-right militants that killed five people on that same date, which seems an odd omission.”

It’s unclear why authorities singled out Black separatists as a potential threat, but not white supremacists or right-wing extremists, who conducted the majority of domestic attacks last year. The FBI’s official categorization for such threats is “racially motivated violent extremists,” which it has used as an umbrella term for both white supremacists and a variety of groups associated with Black Americans.

Neither the FBI nor the Department of Homeland Security replied to a request for comment. The FBI’s conflation of these groups has drawn criticism from civil rights organizations, lawmakers and others, and a former Obama counterterrorism official, who asked not to be named, said the threat assessment follows this same faulty logic.

Three Idaho National Guard pilots have been killed after the Black Hawk helicopter they were traveling in crashed Tuesday night, officials announced Wednesday.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. during a routine training flight near Boise. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

"This is a tremendous loss to the Idaho National Guard and our community," Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak said in a statement.

Trump Team, Impeachment Managers Lay Out Arguments for Senate Trial

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump and Democrat impeachment managers filed trial memorandums on Feb. 2 outlining their arguments for the Senate trial expected to begin next week.

The Democrat memo alleges that Trump incited a mob that breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 by sowing doubt about the integrity of the 2020 presidential election. The memo by Trump’s legal team denies the allegation and argues that the trial is unconstitutional because Trump is no longer president.

Democrats face an uphill battle in the Senate. Forty-five Republican senators voted in favor of a resolution calling the trial unconstitutional, since Trump is now a private citizen. With the Senate split 50–50, the impeachment managers would have to convince 17 Republicans that the trial is constitutional and that Trump is guilty of inciting an insurrection.

Trump’s defense team tied nearly every argument in the trial memo to the overarching point that the trial is unconstitutional. They argued that since the Constitution states that “impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy an office,” Trump cannot be tried since he can’t be removed. “The constitutional provision requires that a person actually hold office to be impeached,” the defense memo, authored by Bruce Castor and David Schoen, states. “Since the 45th President is no longer ‘President,’ the clause ‘shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for …’ is impossible for the Senate to accomplish, and thus the current proceeding before the Senate is void ab initio as a legal nullity that runs patently contrary to the plain language of the Constitution.”

The Republicans’ focus on the constitutionality of the trial wasn’t lost on the impeachment managers, who devoted a significant portion of their memo to the argument that impeached former officials can still be tried. The impeachment managers’ memo cites a number of precedential examples, though none pertaining to a U.S. president. They argue that the Framers didn’t make a specific exception for former presidents and intended for impeachment and conviction to serve as a deterrent against corruption throughout their entire term in office.

“The Framers were too savvy to make up a new rule, at odds with centuries of historical practice, that would allow officials to escape accountability by resigning at the last minute, or by waiting until near the end of their tenure in office to commit abuses, or by concealing misconduct until after they left public service,” the impeachment managers’ memo states.

“This would create extremely dangerous and perverse incentives, especially for Presidents who sought to retain power by subverting election results in their final days. In designing the Constitution, the Framers aimed to ensure that the President could never become a King; they did not leave the Nation unprotected against abuse surrounding the transfer of power from one administration to the next.”

The Democrats’ trial memorandum cites excerpts from Trump’s Jan. 6 speech in Washington as evidence that he incited an insurrection. For example, the memo claims that Trump exhorted followers to “fight like hell [or] you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

The president had actually said in reference to his team’s courtroom efforts challenging the integrity of the election: “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

Another selective quotation shows Trump saying: “You’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.” A look at the previous sentence from Trump’s speech, which the Democrats omitted, shows that he was addressing the lawmakers who were convened to vet and certify the Electoral College votes.

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them,” Trump said.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Feb. 1 warned his Democratic colleagues against calling witnesses during the trial, threatening to call the FBI to testify.

“If you open that can of worms, we’ll want the FBI to come in and tell us about how people pre-planned this attack and what happened with the security footprint at the Capitol. You open up Pandora’s Box if you call one witness,” Graham told Fox News on Feb. 2.

Trump replaced his lead legal counsel over the weekend. His new team, led by Schoen and Castor, will have just over a week to get ready before the trial.

During Tuesday’s Anderson Cooper 360, Lincoln Project founder George Conway discussed the future of the Republican Party. Conway, a Republican, believes former President Donald Trump has severely damaged the reputation of his Party.

Trump’s most recent conspiracy theory is that the presidential election was rigged. His rhetoric and baseless claims have been attributed to the attack on Capitol Hill during the certification of the electoral college votes. As a result, he became the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

“The problem is this conspiracy theorism, the QAnon insanity, all of this has metastasized,” said Conway. “The Republican Party has a significant portion of it that is devoted not just the cult of Donald Trump but to insanity.”

Freshman GOP congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has come under fire recently for her support of conspiracy theories. She has made several outrageous claims in the past and still promotes the unfounded and widely rejected belief that the election was rigged.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene propounding bizarre theories and saying that the speaker of the House should be assassinated and talking about Jewish space lasers,” said Conway. “I don't know how this Party can survive like that.”

State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi was arrested on Wednesday and charged with illegally importing and using communication devices found in her home days after she was detained by military forces in Myanmar.

According to a police request to a court, accusations against Nobel Peace Prize laureate Suu Kyi alleged six walkie-talkie radios were discovered after authorities searched her house in the capital city of Naypyidaw. The devices were allegedly imported illegally and used without permission.

If convicted, 75-year-old Suu Kyi could face up to three years in prison. For now, she remains in custody until Feb. 15 and is reportedly confined to her home.

STUTTGART, Germany — The U.S. is no longer actively preparing to move nearly 12,000 troops out of Germany, putting an initiative proposed by the Trump administration on ice while the Pentagon conducts a review, the top American general in Europe said Wednesday.

“At this very moment, every single one of those options, they are all on hold. They will all be reexamined from cradle to grave,” U.S. European Command’s Gen. Tod Wolters told reporters.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has begun “a very thorough review” of the proposed drawdown, which was announced in July by his predecessor, Mark Esper, Wolters said.

The Canadian government has voted to list the Proud Boys as a terrorist organisation, according to the Toronto Star.

The Canadian Government is designating the right-wing Proud Boys movement as a terrorist group, according to the Toronto Star, which reports that the "Western chauvinist" group is expected to be formally added to Canada's "terrorist entity" list later Wednesday - where they will join Al Qaida, Boko Haram, Hizballah, the Taliban and the Islamic State.

Members of the Proud Boys were present during the January 6 Capitol riot, during which a group of agitators were allowed to walk into the Capitol building, wreak havoc, and then casually walk out - with several participants arrested days later.

Of note, Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was outed last week as a "prolific" FBI snitch, who repeatedly worked undercover for investigators following a 2012 arrest.

Curiously, Tarrio was ordered to stay away from Washington D.C. one day before the January 6 Capitol riot after he was arrested on vandalism and weapons charges - upon a request by government prosecutors that he be prohibited from attending. At least five Proud Boys members were charged as part of the riot.

In the 2014 hearing, a federal prosecutor, an FBI agent and Tarrio's attorney describe his undercover work - noting that the Proud Boys leader helped authorities prosecute over a dozen people in various cases involving drugs, gambling and human smuggling, according to Reuters.

Schumer, McConnell end standoff to organize 50-50 Senate

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced an agreement Wednesday with Republicans to organize the evenly split chamber, ending a weekslong standoff that prevented the new Democratic majority from setting up some operations and soured relations at the start of the congressional session.

Schumer, D-N.Y., said that he and Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky had agreed on committee ratios and other details in the 50-50 chamber, where Democrats have the slim edge because Vice President Kamala Harris is a tie-breaking vote.

Senators can now promptly “get to work, with Democrats holding the gavels,” Schumer said.

Organizing the Senate is typically a routine procedure at the start of a new Congress. But the prolonged negotiations involved a power play by McConnell as Republicans refused to relinquish control without first trying to extract concessions from Democrats that Schumer refused to give.

In particular, McConnell wanted Schumer to commit that Democrats would not end the legislative filibuster. Getting rid of that procedural tool would make it easier for the new majority to approve President Joe Biden’s agenda on a 51-vote threshold, rather than the 60 votes typically needed to advance bills.

Schumer refused to yield, but two centrist Democrats, Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Krysten Sinema of Arizona, announced they would prefer to keep the filibuster intact. That essentially denied Schumer the votes needed to change the rules, and McConnell dropped his demands.

The agreement, awaiting approval in a Senate vote, means Democrats can take control of the committees and set up other operations that have stalled during the standoff. Democrats hope to hold a confirmation hearing Monday for Merrick Garland, Biden's nominee for attorney general, before the start of former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.

Republicans lost the majority after two Georgia Democrats won run-off elections on Jan. 5, ousting incumbent Republican senators.

Senators “are ready to hit the ground running on the most important issues,” Schumer said.

New Mexico Democrat's bill could criminalize parents teaching kids how to shoot, according to gun group

A New Mexico Democratic state senator has introduced a bill that could criminalize parents who teach their children how to shoot firearms if the children is not considered an "authorized user," according to a state pro-gun group.

State Sen. Antoinette Sedillo Lopez (D) introduced State Bill 224, which says in part, "It is an offense for a firearm owner or authorized user to store or keep a firearm in any premises unless the firearm is secured in a locked container or secured by a gun lock or other means so as to render the firearm inaccessible or unusable to any person other than the owner or other authorized user."

The Daily Wire stated that a minor "may be an authorized user only if the minor is at least twelve years of age and has successfully completed a firearm safety training course."

SB 224 adds, "If a firearm owner or authorized user knows or reasonably should have known that a minor, an at-risk person or a prohibited person could gain access to a firearm belonging to or under the control of that owner or authorized person, and if a minor, an at-risk person or a prohibited person obtained access to that firearm, it is an offense if the firearm owner or authorized user failed to secure the firearm in a locked container or by a lock or other means so as to render such firearm inaccessible or unusable to any person other than the firearm owner or other authorized user."

'Uneducated attempt to demonize firearms'

In response to the bill, the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association said that the bill's "storage mandate" would "make it a crime for a child to handle your firearm unless the child was 12 or older and had previously completed a firearms safety class."

"You would become a criminal for taking your child to go shooting if they had not previously taken some kind of formal class," NMSSA said in a statement on the proposed legislation. “The bill is an uneducated attempt to demonize firearms. … It is already a crime to place a child in a situation that endangers their life, this law does nothing to add to a child's safety."

The association added that the bill as-is is "completely unenforceable" unless the government intends on conducting door-to-door inspections.

"If a prohibited possessor gains access to your firearm you are liable as well," NMSSA added. "Albuquerque is the property crime capital of America; if your home or vehicle was broken into and a convicted felon stole your firearm, you could be charged with a crime under the bill. Instead of taking on the issue of the crime wave that has engulfed Albuquerque and other parts of the state, Sedillo Lopez wants to blame you, someone just seeking to defend yourself, if your firearm is stolen."

Ortiz vehemently rejected the claim, instead insisting the de-platforming action was in retaliation against JCN’s position that Twitter and the other internet behemoths should be regulated as a utility.

“Twitter has silenced JCN and the 30 million small business owners it represents after JCN implied that the tech giant should be regulated as a utility,” Ortiz said in a statement. “Given that JCN’s internal review demonstrates we did not violate Twitter’s terms and conditions, the tech giant’s bold move is likely pure retaliation against us for our position on tech regulations.”

JCN, in addition to advocating for small business and the preservation of American jobs, promotes progressive policies and legislation that facilitates lower taxes. JCN has been removed in total from the Twitter platform.

Last month, Ortiz wrote an op-ed published by a well-known conservative online publication titled, “Big Tech’s Conservative Purge Changes the Free Speech Debate.”

Elaine Parker, JCN’s Chief Communications Officer, said in a podcast interview that the onus of the article argued for Washington to regulate social media platforms and other tech giants as utilities.

“The reason behind that is because it would preclude them from excluding services based on political beliefs and ideology,” Parker said. “I mean, when you’re getting your phone service through AT&T, they don’t care who you vote for, or who you support or what your political background is. They just want to sell you a service, right?”

Many familiar with the issue support the idea that the de-platforming of JCN only serves to validate Ortiz’s point, and that his position becomes more tenable by the day.

Well, that explains why there are so few details about this. This shit starts getting into the Epstein type of networks (Epstein wasn't the biggest operation; just one that focused on entrapment of big names). These agents were on the case of the people that provided content that Hunter had on his laptop.

Now it's making more sense. Anons have a general idea how this works, but I don't think they can appreciate just how far into the rabbit hole our society was headed. Before PDJT, our nation was nearly consumed and didn't even know it! I'll explain.

So, lots of these young girls are groomed from very early on. Like, young childhood, young. There are modeling agencies that groom and train them. Then they hit teen agencies (still underage, mind you) that get them ready for the big leagues in 18+ porn. But there are also teen girls that get in around adolescent ages via things like TikTok, Instagram, and other sites; these girls weren't "born" into the programs. Lastly, there are those that are otherwise "kidnapped" and forced into it. Content distribution over mediums like twitter, discord, etc. get their names passed around, and eventually they are "scouted" by agencies.

Starting to look like Hunter's story is going to map this out for everyone once all these people get busted for good. The normalization mechanism they had in place was absolutely devious, and multifaceted. The content from these networks raged from porn, to tv/movies, and music as well. The porn stuff is meant for everyday people with bad habit. Regular everyday people aren't visiting porn sites hoping to punch up some "accidental CP". But the amateur content is appealing to some because hedonism is a powerful drug, and people want to know they aren't alone in just wanting to "let loose" from time to time. So they start consuming the "amateur" content on a regular basis because of the appeal.

That's where the problem starts. The "Big Sites" hosting amateur content for public consumption aren't (weren't) doing verification (because they likely help run the networks themselves), and some of the teen stuff (under 18; perhaps even slightly) starts getting mixed in. Anons might be watching a 16 year old thinking he/she is a 19 college freshman or something. What's really happening is these big sites are slowly introducing their users to ephebephilia; it's a slippery slope towards normalization of pedo stuff, and the consumers don't even know it. At that point, normalization is a "Hey, you've already been watching CP, so might as well normalize it" arguments start to pop up on every IB, Reddit, FB, Twitter, and everywhere else. You can imagine where it goes from there.

Speaking of IBs, here is where it gets really fucked up. IBs have always been know to be racy places, but the /b/ pages of these places are segues to the content for people of all ages; but young folks seem to be in a competition to post something that gets more attention than the others, so it becomes a race, so to speak. Not only that, glowies are known to hang on IBs and try to lure people into honeypots with links to other sites, etc. Glowies in on the networks ensnare folks if they have any value (money, positions of power, etc.). Once they got ya, you'll do what it takes to keep everything quiet.

The same scams they run on the elite, they were prepping WW operations for everyday people until everything is an open secret. This is so fucked up it's well beyond what any dystopic novel/movie has ever covered. The reason for that is, this is one of those plans they didn't want to reveal openly. So let's go back to what this place was before Jim. It was Fred (Hotwheels), and a /hebe/ board. Places like this were part of the network of content distribution (teasers, so to speak) and entrapment. Folks that are curious (brave?) enough will end up finding "Wonderlands" all over the place. Some even call themselves that openly.

That's why these sites sometimes go down, and prop right back up. They are all DS operations running entrapment schemes. These are the gaps in the stories from people like @JohnHereToHelp. They never fill in the details like this. They give accounts or personal testimonies of people like Rod Rosenstein planting "evidence" (CP) on other people's resources, but they never give all the details. It's very likely that anons that have figured a lot of this out tried to do the right thing, and got squashed like bugs in the process.

Having said all that, what's the progress on demolishing the remaining networks? The procurement networks are probably greatly reduced, but there's still lots of production going on. Are they next? Perhaps patriots are working their way up from the bottom still? This is going to take a very long time to get through it all, but it needs to happen.

After Making Claims of Widespread Voter Fraud, Lin Wood Comes Under Investigation for… Voter Fraud

The Georgia secretary of state’s office is investigating if attorney Lin Wood violated the state’s residency requirements for voting in the 2020 general election, a source from the office confirmed to Breitbart News.

Wood claimed widespread voter fraud occurred in the November 3 general election and encouraged Georgians to boycott the state’s subsequent runoff election because of the alleged fraud. Now, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is probing whether Wood, who voted early in Georgia in the general election according to state records, was a legal resident of the state when he cast his vote.

Raffensperger’s office launched the investigation after noticing an email Wood sent to WSB-TV reporter Justin Gray in which Wood said he has “been domiciled in South Carolina” for months. Wood had been responding to an inquiry from the outlet about his law license when he made the comment.

“I have been domiciled in South Carolina for several months after purchasing property in the state in April,” Wood wrote. “My decision to change my residency to South Carolina has nothing to do with the frivolous and politically-motivated actions of the State Bar of Georgia.” WSB-TV broke the news of the investigation Tuesday evening after making Wood’s email public earlier in the day:

Raffensperger’s office provided further detail about the investigation to NBC:

“The question is whether he was a legal resident when he voted in November in light of an email he sent to [WSB-TV reporter] Justin Gray saying he has been domiciled in South Carolina for several months,” the secretary of state’s office said in an emailed statement. “The investigation is ongoing.”

The residency rule in question, per Georgia election law, states that “if a person removes to another state with the intention of making it such person’s residence, such person shall be considered to have lost such person’s residence in the state.”

Wood himself has ironically charged that rampant voter fraud occurred in the general election and filed a lawsuit in Georgia seeking to overturn the results based on alleged issues with the absentee voting process, voter dropboxes, and Dominion voting machines.

Wood, who claims he is a Trump supporter but has a long history of supporting Democrats as Breitbart News has detailed, held a press conference in December that attracted significant attention after he deemed the election “rigged” and told Republicans they ought not to vote in the January runoff election because of it. “Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election for God’s sake? Fix it. You gotta fix it before we’ll do it again,” Lin declared at the time.

Wood responded to the new investigation against him in a statement to WSB-TV on Tuesday evening, saying, “I have been a resident of the State of Georgia since 1955. I changed my residency to South Carolina yesterday.”

While Wood voted in the 2020 general election, he told the outlet he did not vote in January because the election was not “legitimate.”

He called the investigation “pure harassment” by Raffensperger, alleging Raffensperger had a vendetta against Wood because the attorney “revealed credible evidence of election fraud” on Raffensberger’s part.

Wood’s lawsuit against the secretary of state was tossed out in December in a U.S. district court after the judge determined it lacked evidence, saying Wood’s claims should have been “‘based on well-pleaded facts’ because courts ‘do not credit bald assertions that rest on mere supposition.’”

CDC: Mask Order Will Be ‘Further Enforced’ by ‘Federal Authorities’

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) latest order, requiring individuals to wear masks when using public transportation or residing in transportation hubs, will be “further enforced by other federal authorities,” the agency announced in its order, which went into effect this week.

Under the order, individuals are required to wear masks while using public transportation, which includes “awaiting, boarding, disembarking, or traveling on airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares as they are traveling into, within, or out of the United States and U.S. territories,” per the CDC.

“People must also wear masks while at transportation hubs (e.g., airports, bus or ferry terminals, train and subway stations, seaports) and other locations where people board public transportation in the United States and U.S. territories,” the agency said, encouraging the “operators of public conveyances” to enforce the requirement to the best of their abilities.

The CDC offered tips on how to better enforce the requirement, urging operators to only allow entry to those who are wearing masks and to remind people the rule is “a requirement of federal law and that not complying with the requirement is a violation of federal law.”

The order itself specifically states that it “shall be further enforced by other federal authorities and may be enforced by cooperating state and local authorities” through various provisions. However, the CDC noted it hopes not to rely “primarily” on criminal penalties. Instead, it anticipates widespread voluntary compliance:

While this Order may be enforced and CDC reserves the right to enforce through criminal penalties, CDC does not intend to rely primarily on these criminal penalties but instead strongly encourages and anticipates widespread voluntary compliance as well as support from other federal agencies in implementing additional civil measures enforcing the provisions of this Order, to the extent permitted by law and consistency with President Biden’s Executive Order of January 21, 2021.

The order exempts those under the age of two, as well as individuals with certain disabilities. Individuals are also not required to wear a mask while eating or drinking “for brief periods of time” or communicating “for brief periods of time” with someone who is hearing impaired.

The CDC also specifies that individuals do not have to wear a mask if unconscious “for reasons other than sleeping,” or if they are “incapacitated, unable to be awakened, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.”

The order also permits those who are “experiencing difficulty breathing or shortness of breath or are feeling winded” to remove the mask “temporarily until able to resume normal breathing with the mask.”

“Persons who are vomiting should remove the mask until vomiting ceases,” the order states.

The order will remain in effect “unless modified or rescinded based on specific public health or other considerations, or until the Secretary of Health and Human Services rescinds the determination under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act that a public health emergency exists,” the order added.

Last month, President Biden signed an order requiring individuals to wear masks on federal property. While agencies can make exceptions, they must be documented in writing. Notably, White House press secretary Jen Psaki routinely goes maskless while speaking to reporters during the daily White House press briefings.

He threatened to call the FBI to testify

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) warned Democratic colleagues Monday night that if they decide to call even one witness in the Senate's upcoming impeachment trial against former President Trump, they'll be opening up "Pandora's Box."

Last month, the Democrat-controlled House voted to impeach Trump a second time for "incitement of insurrection" after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 while Congress was in session. The process has now moved to the Senate, where a trial is set to begin next week.

Graham, the outgoing chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, expressed that he looks forward to a speedy trial and acquittal of Trump. But he noted that should Democrats choose to turn it into a "political commercial" and prolong the business for "weeks and months" by calling witnesses, Republicans are prepared to play ball by calling the FBI to testify about security failures at the U.S. Capitol.

"If you open up that can of worms [by calling witnesses], we'll want the FBI to come in and tell us about how people actually pre-planned these attacks and what happened with the security footprint at the Capitol," Graham said.

"You open up Pandora's box if you call one witness," he continued. "I hope we don't call any and we vote and get this trial over next week when it starts."

With the trial's Feb. 9 start date looming, Reuters reported Monday that the House Democrats in charge of impeachment proceedings in the Senate are expected to announce whether or not they will call witnesses by as early as Tuesday.

Democrats are expected to face an uphill climb toward a conviction, especially after 45 of the GOP's 50 senators voted in a procedural motion to object to impeachment proceedings last week, leading Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) to call the prospect "dead on arrival." Democrats would need at least 17 GOP senators to declare Trump guilty in order to garner the two-thirds vote required to convict.

Nevertheless, Trump, for his part, is currently assembling a legal defense and preparing a formal response to the charges. A conviction in the Senate will mean rather little, politically, since Trump has already exited office. However, a vote to impeach could open the potential for a vote to bar him from seeking public office in the future.

For an environmentally conscious billionaire, what better way to combine luxury with your green credentials?

Bill Gates has commissioned the world’s first hydrogen-powered superyacht – believed to cost $860 million, giving him bragging rights over other ultra-rich seafarers.

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal the retired 64-year-old is behind the construction of the cutting-edge cruiser by Dutch superyacht specialist Feadship.

The custom build is based on blueprints for the 372ft (113 metre) vessel Aqua publicised at the Monaco Yacht Show last year by Dutch marine architects Sinot. It said the plans took “inspiration from the lifestyle of a discerning, forward-looking owner”.

Gates, who co-founded Microsoft and is the world’s second-richest person, is a regular superyacht holidaymaker but has not owned one, preferring to rent for summer trips around the Mediterranean.

His new vessel, scheduled to go to sea in 2024, will not measure up to some of the largest cruisers such as the 535ft (163 metre) Eclipse commissioned by Roman Abramovich, the oligarch owner of Chelsea Football Club, but its hydrogen power is a signal of Gates’s belief that investment in new clean technology is the best way to cut carbon emissions.

The designs for Aqua include two 28-ton vacuum-sealed tanks to store liquid hydrogen at -252C. The fuel will generate power for the two 1 megawatt motors and for passengers via fuel cells, which combine hydrogen with oxygen from the air to emit only electricity and water. Sinot claims the system offers a top speed of 17 knots, cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots and range of 3,750 nautical miles, more than enough to cross the Atlantic.

The yacht is the latest sign of Gates’s longstanding interest in alternative fuels. He is an investor in Heliogen, a California start-up which uses smart software to control mirrors and focus the sun’s rays to generate extreme heat. It aims to create clean hydrogen gas by splitting water molecules without using fossil fuels.

Most hydrogen is currently produced by processes that produce carbon dioxide. It is possible, but much more expensive, to use electricity from renewable sources.

Gates, who has pledged to give most of his estimated $118 billion (pounds 92 billion) fortune to good causes via the Gates Foundation, has argued that investment in new energy systems is a better way to cut carbon emissions than forcing investors to pull out of oil companies when the economy must still rely on fossil fuels to some extent.

Last year he said: “We can build on the progress we’ve made deploying current technology like renewables, which will help accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to a future of reliable and affordable carbon-free electricity. We need big breakthroughs in technologies that will allow us to supply the power grid with clean energy even during windless days, cloudy weather and nighttime.”

Despite Gates’s enthusiasm for hydrogen power, shipbuilding sources said that the plans for his superyacht include diesel back-up, due to the scarcity of hydrogen refuelling stations. It is understood the project includes plans to establish facilities at the superyacht’s home port.

The billionaire’s plans for the vessel’s accommodation are unclear, but in the marketing materials for Aqua the designers suggest an armoured glass window to view the liquid hydrogen tanks and a gym with “massive, gym-wide hatch which opens to reveal the ocean’s surface at water level, creating the perception of exercising and relaxing on an island in the sea”.

The concept includes a “spectacular, extremely spacious” owner’s pavilion, occupying the forward half of the upper deck and offering “an abundance of privacy”. Meanwhile “the VIP cabin and other state rooms are focused on openness, luxury and comfort, providing a maximum sense of freedom in a highly detailed minimalist Japanese beach-style setting”, said Sinot.

The Gates Foundation and Gates Ventures, Gates’s investment vehicle, declined to comment.

“The Lincoln Project has always been just two things: a grift for people to make money and a grooming organization for John Weaver to meet young men to try to get them in bed,” said Ryan Girdusky, journalist and author of They’re Not Listening: How The Elites Created the National Populist Revolution, on Tuesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Girdusky broke the news that John Weaver, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, allegedly sought sexual contact with young men in exchange for jobs in politics.

Girdusky began investigating accusations of Weaver’s sexual solicitations from young men after being followed by Weaver on Twitter.

“Within a day [of Weaver following me on Twitter], young men started coming forward and saying to me that I should be on the lookout,” Girdusky stated. “They said, ‘This is what John Weaver does. He reached out to young men like me and he says I can give you a job opportunity if you promise me sex in the end.’ It’s three young guys who reached out to me very early on.”

Girdusky added, “I was trying to find out how many people possibly know about John Weaver, and it became very abundantly clear very early on that everyone knew. If you worked politics, there was no way you did not know about John Weaver and his actions towards young men, preying on young men.”

Republican strategist and political pundit Karl Rove said on Monday that he knew of Weaver’s “pattern of behavior” since 1988.

George Conway, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, claimed he did not know Weaver “very well” in a segment with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.

“It was shocking how many people knew,” Girdusky remarked. “Another very well-known household Never Trumper columnist writer [who has] been around a long time was asked to join the Lincoln Project and said, ‘No, I won’t work with John Weaver because of he’s a disgusting person. So [the idea that] the only people who did not know about John Weaver were the people in the Lincoln Project project is insane. … There was no way they did not know.”

Girdusky emphasized, “There was no way on God’s green Earth that you could have worked in professional Washington, DC, national-level politics and have not heard these rumors.”

Girdusky highlighted left-wing news media’s disinterest in the accusations against Weaver. He said, “mainstream media” has “totally ignored the topic” aside from Brzezinski inviting Conway’s remarks without asking him a question.

Girdusky said Lincoln Project members have appeared in 21 television interviews since his original report on January 11. He said, “Mainstream media never asked [Lincoln Project members], ‘Hey, what’s the story about that you co-founder using your organization to sit there and groom young men?'”

Marlow stated, “Ultimately, the real villain here is — Weaver, to a degree — but it is really the media.”

Weaver’s accusers now total over 100 young men, Girdusky observed, adding reported totals from the New York Times, Scott Stedman, and his own reporting.

“I can tell you it’s over 100 men in a five-year period,” Girdusky said. “If you add all three articles together with their different sources, it’s over 100.”

Some of the young men accusing Weaver of sexual solicitations are leftists who were reluctant to share their allegations for fear of damaging the “Never Trump” campaign, Girdusky shared.

“So many of these young men who came forward to me early on were leftists,” Girdusky explained. “Many of them were afraid to come forward because they were afraid of retribution from John Weaver, but I will say there were a few of them who said, ‘I don’t want to hurt the anti-Trump movement,’ and that’s among the victims.”

The New York Times reported, “[Weaver’s] solicitations included sending messages to a 14-year-old, asking questions about his body while he was still in high school and then more pointed ones after he turned 18.”

“The youngest boy — and it was a boy that John Weaver was reaching out to — was 14 years old when John Weaver was 57 years old,” Girdusky said. “How on Earth is that consensual?”

Girdsuky assessed the Lincoln Project’s lack of denials against his reporting as rooted in fear of litigation.

Girdusky concluded, “I think the reason that not a single member of the Lincoln Project ever try to deny anything I said publicly — nothing, they’ve never denied one thing, even when it first came out — [is that] they would never want to go to discovery, to go look through their emails, and text messages, and DMs, and everything and see what they knew when they knew it because they knew.”

The Lincoln Project raised over $87 million since its launch at the end of 2019.

MSPs in Holyrood have voted against a motion calling for an investigation into the finances of former US president Donald Trump.

Politicians debated today whether an Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO) should be sought in regard to Mr Trump’s property purchases, with the Scottish Greens suggesting ministers should use powers to open a probe.

In the hope of bringing a more sane perspective into the hand wringing saga of hysterical media, politicians and government officials with regards to Q and Anons. (Qanon doesn't exist and is the first indication of the lack of insight of those investigating the subject).

As an anon, accidentally from the start and a daily lurker and sometimes contributor I would like to present my view. The slow but clear decline of factual news and the rise of politicized opinions presented as news led me and, quite likely millions of sentient adults all over the world, to search outside the MSM for rational answers to questions raised but continually brushed aside as irrelevant. There are many sites to be found and they often form a logical springboard/progression to a better informed or more amusing site to frequent for a better balanced view on a wide range of topics.

Q started posting on 4Chan where I happened to be enjoying the wonderful freedom of finding a place on the internet without censorship and where everyone is anonymous. It is a fun place: outrageous, informative, silly, bizarre, sad, vitriolic, mad, humane, disgusting, rude, lots of bewbs,inspiring and hopefully you get the point, that compared to any mainstream platform, a whirlpool of interest compared to the boring pre-programmed talking heads that now fear their authority will be stripped because they have so little to offer to their public and have therefore now decided to fully launch an attack on their non existent nemesis “Qanon” focusing solely on one subject, the sexual abuse of underage children to demonise the alternative news platform of Q and the Anons who in fact have been uncovering an enormous range of subjects for the last 3 years that need to be exposed to the general public.

Q who ever they are, started dropping questions on 4chan in 2017, later changing to other boards and the questions are always intriguing. They are a challenge to many of us watching, in my case I happily started researching and would add my tiny bits of unearthed data from old news sources to the rapidly growing collection of sourced input from other anons on a wide range of subjects.

Data is collected by Anons by legal means : archived MSM articles, legally obtained or public governmental documentation, recognised scientific research, old videos, documentaries, etc. etc.

Everything deemed to be of importance is newly archived and always has a valid source. Many anons work together on working out connections between the collected information to get to a bigger picture with the help of the sometimes cryptic drops by Q.

In honest times the anons work would be undertaken by any self respecting journalist in MSM.

In these dishonest times the anons have unearthed so much that should be further investigated as crimes against the people, the anons have now become a clear and present danger to many powerful people and institutions that have for many years, been protected from scrutiny.

That in a nutshell is the reason for current daily hysteria by the MSM with regards to their “Qanon” nonsense.

3 Idaho Guardsmen Die in Second Fatal National Guard Black Hawk Crash This Year

The Idaho Army National Guard announced that three of its soldiers were killed when their helicopter crashed during a routine training flight Tuesday night.

All three were pilots flying in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter that went down south of Lucky Peak near Boise, Idaho, shortly after 8 p.m., according to an Idaho Guard news release posted on Facebook.

The crash comes nearly two weeks after three New York National Guard pilots were killed when their Black Hawk crashed on another training mission.

"This is a tremendous loss to the Idaho National Guard and our community," Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak, adjutant general of Idaho and commander of the Idaho National Guard, said in the release. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones as we work through this tragedy."

The Idaho Guard's last contact with the Black Hawk occurred at 7:45 p.m., Col. Christopher Burt, the Idaho Guard's state aviation officer, said in the release.

The aircraft's Emergency Transmitter Locator device was activated shortly after 8 p.m., and Burt's team "immediately initiated emergency aircraft recovery procedures, which included air and ground search and rescue crews," according to the release.

At approximately 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, crews located the crash site and the three soldiers. The cause of the accident is unknown, and an investigation will begin promptly, according to the release.

Names of the soldiers killed in the crash are being withheld until next of kin have been notified, the release adds.

The three New York Guard soldiers were killed when their Black Hawk crashed Jan. 20.

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Steven Skoda, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christian Koch and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel Prial were all pilots aboard the medical evacuation helicopter. They died when their aircraft went down while conducting night-vision proficiency training in the local training area.

Israeli officials have predicted breakout since the 1990s

After generations of research lead time and decades of ruling out ever seeking nuclear arms, officials continue to try to predict Iran’s nuclear breakout moment. Monday it was Secretary of State Tony Blinken, now Israel’s Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz is stepping in.

Steinitz says Iran could get the uranium enriched “in around half a year” and that the weapons themselves are “around one or two years.” That’s slightly more realistic in that he recognized a difference between the two, unlike Blinken who just slapped a two weeks prediction on the whole process.

Blinken’s claim was built around Iran’s stockpile, while Steinitz seems to be continuing Israeli predictions since the early 1990s of hysteria about Iran. Coming and going predictions of an Iranian breakout, which never happens, makes all these predictions seem especially foolish, since Iran has ruled out ever attempting to obtain nuclear arms.

Iran’s enrichment is up to 20% for uranium, while weapons-grade would imply 90% or higher. Iran has never attempted to go beyond the 20%, so most of the allegations are built around assumptions that Iran can perfectly, and nigh-instantly, further enrich all their stockpile to weapons-grade.

Even recognizing Steinitz’s estimate at face value, Iran getting the stockpile and making a weapon is not really the end of things. Iran would need to test detonate a bomb to prove they work, which not only would start an immediate regional war, but would use up that entire stockpile and put them back to starting from scratch.

Germany Warns Against Afghanistan Withdrawal Deadline

German foreign minister says peace talks will not be done by deadline

On Tuesday, Germany warned against a withdrawal of US and other foreign forces from Afghanistan by the May deadline agreed to under the US-Taliban peace deal that was signed in February 2020.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said the withdrawal should be based on the progress of the intra-Afghan peace talks, not the deadline. Maas said the “these peace talks won’t be over” by the deadline and that the coalition doesn’t have to “hang on slavishly to the date of the end of April.”

Maas’ comments come as the prospects for an Afghanistan withdrawal seem more and more unlikely. NATO officials have already said foreign forces will remain in Afghanistan beyond the deadline. The Biden administration is accusing the Taliban of not upholding its end of the deal and the Pentagon said the pullout date is uncertain.

Germany, the US, and NATO all cite the fact that violence between the Taliban and the US-backed government hasn’t ceased as a reason to stay. But staying in Afghanistan will only prolong the violence.

With reports saying foreign troops will stay beyond the Spring deadline, the Taliban is vowing that the fighting will continue. Taliban attacks on US troops have subsided since the deal was signed. If the US stays, those attacks could start up again.

"I spoke to Leader McCarthy this morning, and it is clear there is no alternative to holding a Floor vote on the resolution to remove Rep. Greene from her committee assignments," Hoyer said in a statement. "The Rules Committee will meet this afternoon, and the House will vote on the resolution tomorrow."

The proposal, sponsored by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), would remove Greene from two plum committee assignments — Budget, and Education and Labor — for the remainder of this Congress.
