Two of these "unspecified" tracks are only four hours old, the other two I would discount. Right there west of Grenada would be a good spot to sit and wait to escort an incoming tanker. When contemplating the malign activity of Rod Rosenstein; and how angered President Trump is with former AG Jeff Sessions; it is worth remembering that Sessions requested Rod Rosenstein as his deputy, and then immediately thereafter Sessions recused himself, effectively positioning Rosenstein to run the operation against President Trump.

That’s the background context for a great interview by Gregg Jarrett where Jarrett walks through the timeline of events with former HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes. At the 5:30 point of the interview, Nunes identifies Rosenstein as part of the coup attempt and blasts him for how Rosenstein structured the fraudulent scope memos.

Nunes says his investigation is now looking at the part of the effort where Robert Mueller’s investigation was used as part of the initiating effort to remove President Trump. With the focus on the Mueller team, Nunes is now making additional criminal referrals based on his findings. WATCH:

The owner of a Northern Michigan dock company says Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's husband wanted his boat placed in the water before the Memorial Day weekend as Whitmer urged residents not to rush to the region.

No longer visible to the public, Facebook posts from NorthShore Dock LLC and its owner, Tad Dowker, focused on what Dowker said was a request last week by Whitmer's husband, Marc Mallory. The posts have drawn the attention of Republican state lawmakers, who said the Democratic governor's family may not be following her guidance for the rest of the state.

Whitmer's spokeswoman, Tiffany Brown, didn't confirm or deny Monday the assertions by the marina company or its owner. Brown said the administration wouldn't address "every rumor that is spread online."

Dowker's Facebook post emerged Thursday — three days after Whitmer announced she would lift some business and travel restrictions on Northern Lower Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, where there are many vacation destinations and fewer COVID-19 cases than other areas of the state.

Whitmer first issued a statewide stay-at-home order to combat the spread of the virus on March 23.

"This morning, I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend," Dowker posted. "Being Memorial weekend and the fact that we started working three weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen."

"Well our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied, 'I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?'"

Whitmer and Mallory, who reside in Lansing, own a property in the Elk Rapids area with a taxable value of about $175,000, according to county records. Zillow estimates the property could currently sell for more than $437,000.

WASHINGTON — Even as President Donald Trump awaits a trial in the Senate, his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani is moving full speed ahead with new allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden and the former ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, the very individuals targeted by Trump in events that triggered his impeachment.

In recent weeks, Giuliani — himself under federal investigation for his Ukraine activities — has cryptically teased what he calls new “proof” buttressing charges about Biden and purported corruption during the Obama administration, attempting to flip the script by contending that Democrats, not the president, are the ones guilty of obstruction and collusion with a foreign power to influence elections.

The allegations point to four Ukrainian would-be whistleblowers he says Yovanovitch silenced through visa denials, and include two multibillion-dollar schemes he says he’s uncovered and that Yovanovitch and the Obama administration conspired to cover up.

In tweets and interviews, the former New York City mayor has been intentionally vague about both the allegations and his newfound proof, while vowing to eventually reveal it to the Department of Justice and a trio of senators.

$7.5 billion in laundered Ukrainian funds

Since his investigative trip to Ukraine and eastern Europe this month, Giuliani has been teasing a revelation he says is coming about another scheme, this one worth $7.5 billion.

It involves a claim that former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who plundered the country's assets before being ousted, had laundered $7.5 billion through an elaborate conspiracy involving Franklin Templeton, a U.S. investment firm, which purchased Ukrainian bonds nearing that amount starting a decade ago. They were later sold.

No proof has been produced publicly. A Franklin Templeton spokeswoman said the allegations are “not logical and entirely false,” pointing out that the money went from the firm to Ukraine’s government — the exact opposite of what’s alleged.

The unproven allegations have been peddled for years by Lutsenko and more recently by Ukrainian lawmaker and former journalist Oleksandr Dubinsky. Giuliani met with both men while in Europe this month.

After his meeting with Giuliani in Kyiv, Dubinsky posted a video to social media in which he said he’d told Giuliani about the alleged scheme. A spokeswoman for Lutsenko told Ukrainian media he had also told Giuliani that Yovanovitch had blocked him from investigating the stolen funds.

“She was OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE and that’s not the only thing she was doing. She at minimum enabled Ukrainian collusion,” Giuliani wrote this month on Twitter.

Yovanovitch declined through an attorney to comment on Giuliani’s allegations. But the Franklin Templeton theory dovetails with Giuliani’s repeated assertions that Yovanovitch “perjured herself” in her impeachment testimony.

Lutsenko says when he was prosecutor general, Yovanovitch impeded his efforts to obtain Justice Department help in investigating money laundering and Yanukovych’s graft. Yovanovitch testified he wasn’t serious about those aims and just wanted high-profile meetings with the U.S. attorney general and the FBI director.

Yovanovitch testified she encouraged Lutsenko to meet with the FBI’s legal attaché at the embassy, the normal process for requesting law enforcement cooperation between countries, but that Lutsenko “didn’t want to share that information.”

Not so, Lutsenko said alongside Giuliani in an interview this month with One America News Network, the far-right television outlet that traveled with Giuliani to Ukraine. He held up a letter he sent in 2017 to the legal attaché about the Franklin Templeton allegations, as evidence that Yovanovitch perjured herself by saying he never contacted the attaché.

A former senior U.S. official said the letter in question was spurious and offered no proof that any of the money was in the U.S., and that because the legal attaché works for the Justice Department, it’s possible Yovanovitch wouldn’t have even known about it.

At the same time, Giuliani has been tweeting about connections between Franklin Templeton and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who ran the impeachment investigation.

Giuliani has echoed suggestions by Lutsenko that Schiff stood to benefit because he had a financial interest in Franklin Templeton. Schiff’s public financial disclosure shows he owns some of the firm’s mutual funds along with other various similar investments. There’s no evidence Schiff had any involvement in or knowledge of the firm’s purchase of Ukrainian bonds years ago.

The Ukraine circus is getting more interesting. No, not Adam Schiff’s Star Chamber on impeachment & circuses. The one in Ukraine. The Office of the Prosecutor General indicted Burisma owner Nikolai Zlochevsky for money laundering. And it points to the Obama White House.

If you’ve not heard the story, Zlochevsky is alleged to have been doing other people’s laundry. About 7.5 billion dollars worth – a sum that has attracted some attention. And not just because Ukraine claims Hunter Biden’s attachment to Burisma resulted in a take if 16.5 million. Money that has nothing to do with his complete lack of knowledge about energy or gas but probably relates in some predictable way to the name ‘Biden.’ The investment firm doing the laundry has close ties to Barack Obama. Joe Biden. Lt. Col Alexander Vindman. Perhaps a few members of the US State Department. And maybe a George Soros funded operation “fighting corruption.”

Funny, you ask, what do they mean when they say “fighting.”

I confess some of those names are speculative but not the big ones. The Biden’s are obviously up to their neck on whatever it is Joe says the Obama Administration signed off. As for Barry-O, he’s got fresh trouble because of John Templeton Jr., and Thomas Donilon.

We’ve seen that Vindman has close ties to the previous Ukrainian government, dating back to Yanukovych and his successor Petro Poroshenko, while this alleged money-laundering scheme was taking place. The connection to the Franklin Templeton Fund is interesting because John Templeton, Jr. was a major Obama campaign donor, and Thomas Donilon, who was Obama’s National Security Advisor before Susan Rice and is now the chairman of BlackRock Investment Institute, a major owner of Franklin Templeton stock.

Vindman is a holdover from the Bamster years, embedded at the NSC. Donilon, well – let his bio tell you who he is to Barack Obama.

My conclusion is that if you are evil, and you want to reign tyranny on any civilization in history, you must first monopolize power over seven aspects of that civilization.

So tyranny is a seven branched government, always.

1) Money monopoly

2) Food/medicine Monopoly

3) Media/Education Monopoly

4) Vote Monopoly (power of appointment of those who will govern)

5) Energy/Natural Resource monopoly

6) Self Defense Monopoly (gun control)

7)Surveillance monopoly.

Abstract

The Central Organization for a Durable Peace was formed at The Hague (the Netherlands) in April 1915 by representatives from nine European nations and the United States. The deliberations of this meeting were summarized in a manifesto, and a nine point minimum-program calling for coercive sanctions, which were studied by nine international research committees and several national committees. Departing from strict pacifism, the organization expressed a willingness to accept military sanctions against countries that started hostilities without first making a good faith effort to resolve a dispute by submitting to international arbitration or making some other appeal to the existing peace machinery.

Iran and the first organization fo World Peace

In 1915, a year after the First World War, a group of people from 13 countries (12 European countries and the United States), constituted themselves as the Central Organization for a Durable Peace in Holland at The Hague. They published their constitution all over the world. In Tehran, Iran was published in the Iran News. Mr, Ahmad Yazdani took the oportunity and through his initiative which certainly was an inspiration from the Abha kingdom, and in consultation with Mr. Ibn-i-Asdaq, prepared a paper embodying the Baha'i principles and sent it to that Organization suggesting they seek guidance from Abdu'l-Baha in their strivings to establish a pemanent peace. The Organization responded by submitting, through Mr. Yazdani, a letter to Abdu'l-Baha. The Master in turn revealed the first Tablet of the Hague on 17 December 1919, Mr. Yazdani and Mr. Abn-Asdaq were honored to deliver the Tablet to the Central Organization in in early June 1920. On 12 July 1920 a second letter from the peace organization was sent to the Master and He revealed the second Tablet of the Hague which reached them duly.

NEW YORK — An Israeli bank and its Swiss subsidiary agreed to pay over $30 million for their role in conspiring to launder more than $20 million in kickbacks to soccer officials, becoming the first financial institutions implicated in the FIFA scandal to reach a resolution with U.S. prosecutors.

Bank Hapoalim BM in Israel and its wholly owned Swiss company Hapoalim Ltd. agreed to forfeit $20.73 million and pay a fine of $9.33 million as part of a non-prosecution agreement, the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn said Thursday. The scheme took place through the banks’ Miami branch from 2010-15, with many of the payments tied to marketing rights for the Copa America.

Eugenio Figueredo, a former president of the South American governing body CONMEBOL and Uruguay’s federation, was among those accused of receiving the bribes, along with Luis Bedoya, a former president of Colombia’s federation and like Figueredo a onetime member of FIFA’s executive committee.

Former federation presidents Sergio Jadue of Chile and Rafael Esquivel of Venezuela also were implicated by the U.S. Justice Department, along with Luis Chiriboga, former whose father, Luis, was president of Ecuador’s federation.

Bank Hapoalim (BHMB) and Hapoalim Ltd. (BHS) reached a deal with the Justice Department and the U.S. attorney’s office in which they and BHMB subsidiary Hapoalim (Latin America) SA will not be subject to prosecution for any of the crimes admitted in the deal, except for criminal tax violations. No bank employees involved in the illegal activities were identified by name.

“This announcement illustrates another aspect in the spider web of bribery, corruption and back-room deals going on behind the scenes as soccer games were played on the field,” William F. Sweeney, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York field office, said in a statement. “Bank Hapoalim admits executives looked the other way, and allowed illicit activity to continue even when employees discovered the scheme and reported it.”

In a weave of bribes that included details from wiretaps and unidentified individuals referred to as Relationship Manager 1, Compliance Employees 1 and 2 and Co-Conspirators 1 and 2, prosecutors detailed the actions by Full Play Group, the Argentine company that won rights to sell media and marketing for the 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2023 Copa Americas, South America’s national team championship.

Traffic Sports, a Brazilian company, held the rights from 1987-2011. Traffic Sports and Traffic Sports USA reached guilty pleas and were fined a total of $1 million last year.

Full Play is controlled by Hugo Jinkis and son Mariano, who were first indicted in 2015 and have been charged with racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy.

Full Play had accounts at the banks in the names of subsidiaries Bayan Group, Cross Trading and Yorkfields, and the two Jinkises used those accounts to make at least 53 bribe payments totaling more than $14.02 million from 2010-14 to Bedoya, Chiriboga, Esquivel and Figueredo as part of Full Play’s deal to acquire marketing rights to the 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2023 Copa Americas, prosecutors said in a statement of facts.

“For nearly five years, Bank Hapoalim employees used the U.S. financial system to launder tens of millions of dollars in bribe payments to corrupt soccer officials in multiple countries,” Brian A. Benczkowski, assistant attorney general of the criminal division, said in a statement. “Today’s announcement demonstrates the Department’s commitment to holding financial institutions to account when they knowingly facilitate corruption and other criminal conduct.”

Federal authorities in Manhattan said Thursday that Bank Hapoalim and its Swiss subsidiary also agreed to pay $874 million to resolve allegations they conspired with U.S. taxpayers to hide more than $7.6 billion from the IRS through deposits in more than 5,500 secret Swiss and Israeli bank accounts.

Esquivel took at least 34 payments from about 2009-14 totaling more than $9.41 million. He pleaded guilty in November 2016 to racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy and awaits sentencing.

Menifee, CA (IAK) — The Senate Foreign Relations Committee quietly passed a bill yesterday to give Israel a minimum of $38 billion over the next ten years despite the ongoing devastation to the U.S. economy caused by the coronavirus.

The bill – S.3176 – will now go before the full Senate. Since the legislation has already been passed by the House of Representatives, if the Senate passes the bill, it will then go to the president to be signed into law.

The bill was passed by the committee under two unusual circumstances and with almost no public awareness.

First, Senate Committee Chairman Jim Risch (R-Idaho) refused to allow a live stream of the meeting, despite the fact that the Senate Rules panel had recommended that extra efforts be taken to ensure public transparency while the Capitol is closed to the public and the presence of reporters is severely limited. The Senate’s Press Gallery Standing Committee of Correspondents had objected strongly to Risch’s decision.

Second, the bill was passed without being named, debated, or even discussed, even though it would set into law the largest such aid package in U.S. history. There has been no mention of the bill by most media in the United States.

The massive package is particularly noteworthy in light of the current devastation to the American taxpayers who will be footing the bill – over $10 million per day. In recent months approximately 30 million Americans have lost jobs, 100,000 small businesses have already closed forever, and over seven million are at risk of doing so.

The bill was voted on as part of a package of 15 bills that were voted on “en bloc” (all together).

After Senator Kaine said he didn’t know what the list contained, Risch responded: “I’m not trying to pull anything here… this was circulated among the staff.”

Risch then rapidly listed the numbers but did not give the titles. There was then a voice vote and the motion passed unanimously.

Democratic members of the committee had voiced strong objections to blocking a live stream of the meeting because of a different agenda item. After the meeting, Committee Ranking Member Robert Menendez (D-NJ) released a video of the meeting.

None, however, voiced any concern for giving a massive aid package to a country widely documented as a major violator of human rights.

Neither did any Democrats on the committee object to requiring American taxpayers to give Israel what amounts to over $7,000 per minute when many Americans are suffering catastrophic financial difficulties.

Democratic committee members Menendez, Ben Cardin, Cory Booker, and Chris Coons, like many of the Republican members, are particularly known for being under the influence of AIPAC and the Israel lobby and receiving pro-Israel campaign donations. Many of the members are co-sponsors of the bill.

The bill, entitled “United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2020,” expands and sets into law a memorandum of understanding agreement signed by the Obama administration with Israel in 2016. This agreement is nonbinding and not required by law. It also set the $38 billion as a ceiling.

The legislation just passed by the committee would make this disbursal legally required, and, in addition, it would make the $38 billion a floor rather than a ceiling. In other words, the amount of money could legally go even higher.

Given the power of the pro-Israel lobby, combined with the fact that U.S. media are not informing Americans of this use of their tax money, the likelihood is that U.S. money to Israel will go up in the future – possibly even this year.)

Most Americans say they feel the U.S. is giving Israel too much money. Israel has received more U.S. tax money than any other country – on average, about 7,000 times more per capita than others around the world.

The Council for the National Interest has posted a petition against this year’s installment, $3.8 billion. So far, it has been signed by close to 2,000 people.

US biotech firm Novavax begins Covid-19 vaccine trials on Australian volunteers after getting $388mn from Bill Gates-backed fund

Novavax is testing a new coronavirus vaccine on human subjects for the first time, launching a phase one clinical trial with a massive grant from an agency founded by Bill Gates, kicking off a storm of concerns online.

The Maryland-based pharma has begun its trial, which will dose some 130 Australian participants with the new inoculation, hoping to see results as early as July and proceed to the second phase.

“Administering our vaccine in the first participants of this clinical trial is a significant achievement, bringing us one step closer toward addressing the fundamental need for a vaccine in the fight against the global Covid‑19 pandemic,” Stanley Erck, Novavax President and CEO, said in a statement on Monday night.

We look forward to sharing the clinical results in July and, if promising, quickly initiating the Phase 2 portion of the trial.

The new initiative got off the ground with a massive $388 million-dollar investment from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovation (CEPI) – its largest donation to date – a public health foundation established by billionaire Bill Gates.

In doling out his vast fortune to a number of similar health initiatives over the years – primarily through his own Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – the Microsoft mogul has drawn intense suspicion and doubt from the conspiracy-minded, who posit that Gates is committed to a “depopulation” agenda to rid the planet of its useless eaters. On Sunday, the Trump administration suspended entry into the US for foreigners who have been to Brazil in the last 14 days due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the South American nation.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has come under further pressure in his country and beyond after a new US entry ban, imposed by Bolsonaro’s “political idol” Donald Trump, The Guardian reports.

According to the newspaper, the news proved to be a blow to Bolsonaro who “touts his supposed closeness to Trump as proof of him steering” his country in the right direction.

The Brazilian president’s political opponents, The Guardian went on, were quick to describe the US entry ban as “a humiliating snub” and proof that Bolsonaro’s respectful attitude to Trump was “misguided”.

“Brazil: a health risk to the world thanks to Jair Bolsonaro. Even the US – whose president’s boots he licks – has banned the entry of Brazilians”, Valmir Assuncao, a congressman from the left-wing Workers party, tweeted.

He was echoed by Communist Party lawmaker Alice Portugal who wondered in a tweet whether Bolsonaro is “going to keep marching around with the American flag now”.

Brian Winter, the New York-based editor of the news outlet Americas Quarterly, was cited by The Guardian as saying that the warm ties between the US and Brazil played a role in that “the Trump administration waited as long as it possible could to take this measure”.

However, “even this friendship cannot protect you from being banned if you are passing the 20,000 deaths mark and you can’t get your curve under control”, Winter argued.

According to him, “it’s a terrible irony that the US has banned travel from the country that most closely imitated” Washington’s approach to tackling COVID-19.

The editor described the situation as a “very sad indictment of the COVID-19 policies really in both countries – because Bolsonaro has clearly been imitating both the actions and the rhetoric of the United States”.

Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, in turn, said in a recent interview with The Guardian that he cannot remember a single president in the history of Brazil since 1889 who has been “so discredited and disrespected in the world as Bolsonaro”. Da Silva asserted that “today not even Trump takes Bolsonaro seriously”.

The view was supported by six former Brazilian ministers in an open letter issued earlier in May, in which they slammed Bolsonaro’s “shameful” subservience to Trump.

Trump Issues Brazil-Related Travel Ban

On Sunday, President Donald Trump suspended entry into the US for foreigners who have been to Brazil in the last 14 days, according to a White House press release.

Citing the number of coronavirus cases in Brazil, the statement said that the action will "help ensure foreign nationals who have been in Brazil do not become a source of additional infections in our country". White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany stressed that the new travel restrictions will not apply to the flow of commerce between the US and Brazil.

The entry ban comes as Brazil remains the number two country in the world after the US in terms of confirmed COVID-19 cases which have soared to 347,398 as of 24 May, according to Johns Hopkins University data.

Spain’s coronavirus death toll DROPS by 2,000… after new counting system introduced

Spanish authorities have revised the coronavirus statistics, weeding out duplicate cases and deaths not linked to the dreaded disease. As a result, the country’s death toll sharply dropped by nearly 2,000.

The Covid-19 figures were revised downward on Monday, after health authorities rolled out a new counting system.

The current sharp drop in the coronavirus death numbers comes after the government was able to identify cases that had been counted twice, as well as to exclude altogether deaths that had been wrongly attributed to the virus.

Spain’s health ministry warned that “the discrepancies that may appear with respect to the data on total cases previously reported are the result of their validation by the autonomous communities and the transition to the new surveillance strategy.” It added that the figures are likely to fluctuate in the next few days as well.

However, even with the revised tally, Spain remains one of the worst affected by the pandemic. The total number of Covid-19 deaths now stands at 26,834 – 1,918 less than the total yesterday. The number of confirmed cases dropped by several hundreds as well, and currently stands at the 235,400 mark.

Worldwide, the coronavirus pandemic has already killed nearly 350,000 people, and more than 5.5 million have been infected.

Mediaite journalist August Takala was stripped of his coveted blue check just an hour after tweeting an interview with former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson, he tweeted on Friday to his 4,000-plus followers. The following day, Wrong Opinion podcaster Josh Lekach tweeted that he, too, had had his blue check revoked after interviewing conservative provocateur (and now congressional candidate) Laura Loomer, who is herself banned from Twitter and several other platforms. Lekach has over 18,700 followers.

What do the two commentators have in common? Both interviewed unapologetic thorns in the Democratic establishment’s side. Attkisson, a veteran investigative reporter who now helms Full Measure on Sinclair Media, has long claimed she was surveilled extensively and illegally by the Obama administration – and she told Takala that “many, many others” were also likely spied upon.

“It was only thanks to help from intelligence contacts that I even learned that government agents were spying on me,” Attkisson told Takala. “Otherwise, I never suspected it or would have known.” She believed she drew the attention of the president’s snoops with her reporting on the botched Justice Department gun-running scheme “Fast and Furious,” as well as her investigation into the Benghazi embassy attack in Libya.

The Fight To Reshore US Pharmaceuticals

The coronavirus pandemic has revealed a troubling truth: Global supply chains operated by stateless multinational corporations simply aren’t reliable. Americans are learning this in real-time as they see imports from China cut off, particularly for critical medicines and pharmaceuticals. That has put millions of lives at risk since 90 percent of the generic medications that Americans use each day are imported. Even worse, 90 percent of the ingredients for generic drugs used to treat coronavirus infections are sourced from China.

This will have serious consequences for America’s healthcare and national security. In response, Washington must encourage the reshoring of pharmaceutical production as well as the development of countermeasures for future threats, including critical drug treatments, vaccines, medical devices, and personal protective equipment.

The Trump administration has taken a smart first step on this path. The Department of Health and Human Services recently awarded a $354 million contract for generic drug production to Phlow Corp., a Virginia-based manufacturer that uses state-of-the art drug manufacturing technology. The company will start making prescription drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients, including medicines used to treat COVID-19.

This marks a good start toward boosting U.S. drug production. But a comprehensive, whole-of-government response is needed. For example, the three standard antibiotics used to treat coronavirus-related infections — azithromycin, ciprofloxacin, and piperacillin — all require ingredients made in China. The United States also sources 80 percent of its active pharmaceutical ingredients from overseas, mostly from China and India. And even common household medicines like ibuprofen and acetaminophen overwhelmingly come from China. It’s past time to start reshoring these capabilities.

China undoubtedly recognizes its advantage. Horizon Advisory reports that Beijing hopes the coronavirus pandemic will “reverse any progress that the U.S. has made in countering China’s co-option of global industry.” Simply put, Beijing has the capability to cut off needed pharmaceuticals at any time in order to create a strategic choke point.

The U.S. must get domestic drug production back in gear. And where Congress can be helpful is in imposing ‘Buy America’ policies to ensure that federal agencies purchase domestically manufactured drugs whenever possible. That would help to reduce dependence on China for active drug ingredients. Domestic producers should be given long-term contracts to provide the certainty needed for investing in advanced technologies without fear of being undercut by Chinese companies subsidized by Beijing.

Michigan Gov. Whitmer caught in Memorial Day lockdown controversy over husband's reported boat request

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer faced backlash from Republican lawmakers after a reported request from her husband to get the family's boat out on the water before Memorial Day weekend - far from their home in Lansing.

Whitmer, a Democrat, famously has imposed one of the strictest lockdowns in the country, sparking frequent protests. What's more, she's told people not living in Northern Michigan to stay away from vacation spots there during the holiday weekend.

In Facebook posts no longer visible to the public, NorthShore Dock LLC and its owner, Tad Dowker, focused on what Dowker said was a request last week by Whitmer's husband, Marc Mallory. The posts caught the attention of Republican state lawmakers, who said the governor's family may not have wanted to follow the guidance she's issued for the rest of the state.

"This morning, I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend," Dowker posted. "Being Memorial weekend and the fact that we started working three weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen."

He continued, "Our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied, 'I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?'" The docking company later noted that Mallory respectfully accepted that the accommodation would not be possible.

Whitmer spokeswoman Tiffany Brown refused to comment on the matter, saying the administration wouldn't address "every rumor that is spread online," The Detroit News reported.

Last Monday, Whitmer announced restrictions would be lifted in some regions of Northern Michigan, but urged those who didn't live in the region to stay away. "If you don't live in these regions... think long and hard before you take a trip into them," she said. "A small spike could put the hospital system in dire straits pretty quickly. That's precisely why we're asking everyone to continue doing their part. Don't descend on [waterfront] Traverse City from all regions of the state."

The vacation property Whitmer and her husband have owned is about 25 minutes from Traverse City, according to The Detroit News, but the family permanently resides in Lansing, over 150 miles away.

State Sen. Tom Barrett, R-Charlotte, said Whitmer had urged Michigan residents not to "descend" on the city. "Yet, what did her family try and do?" Barrett said.

We at The Babylon Bee realized we were spending all this time trying to satirize Joe Biden when, frankly, he just can't be satirized. He's doing all the hard work for us with statements like "You ain't black!" and, of gun violence, that "150 million people have been killed since 2007."

Every day is a real grind when we arrive at the sprawling Babylon Bee headquarters, settle in on our throne of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and boot up the ol' PC to check what Biden said over the past 24 hours. Like, what do you do with that? Seriously. Go ahead. Try to satirize it. Anything you do just doesn't have that perfect mix of absurdity and reality that makes satire work so effective at communicating truth. So we're throwing in the towel.

*How Big Tech is Aiding Blacklisted Chinese Surveillance Firms*

American big tech companies, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, are supporting Chinese surveillance firms that have been blacklisted by the United States over human rights violations. That’s according to a new report.

Top10VPN, a site that reviews virtual private networks (VPNs) and researches digital rights and security issues, found in a recent report that more than a dozen U.S. tech firms provide “essential web services” required to power the websites of blacklisted Chinese companies.

Last October, the commerce department put 28 Chinese public security bureaus and companies on an economic blacklist over their role in aiding the repression and surveillance of Uyghur Muslims in the northwestern region of Xinjiang. It included some of China’s top artificial intelligence (AI) startups and video surveillance company Hikvision. The designation bars U.S. firms from doing business with those companies without a license from the department.

An estimated more than 1 million Uyghur and other Muslim minorities are detained in internment camps in Xinjiang as part of the regime’s purported fight against “extremism.” Outside the detention centers, the regime’s inhabitants are heavily monitored by a dense network of AI-enhanced surveillance cameras and security checkpoints.

The report said: “Through providing essential web services to these controversial companies, U.S. firms are playing a part in the proliferation of highly invasive surveillance products that have the potential to undermine human rights around the world.”

It said that Google is providing content delivery network and analytics services to Hikvision and data recovery firm Xiamen Meiya Pico Information Co, both on the U.S. blacklist. Amazon, it added, provides web hosting for Hikvision and surveillance equipment maker Zhejiang Dahua Technology.

The report said that Microsoft supplies email hosting for SenseTime and Megvii, two of China’s most valuable AI startups.

The researchers named several other U.S. tech companies that provide website hosting, authentication, and related services, including Digicert, Stackpath, Symantec, Let’s Encrypt, Entrust, and GeoTrust.

Facebook and Twitter were also identified as providing content delivery network services for Hikvision.

Huawei CFO Gets First Chance at Release in Extradition Fight

The chief financial officer of Huawei Technologies Co., fighting extradition to the U.S., gets her first shot at release this week in a case that’s triggered an unprecedented diplomatic tussle between the U.S., China and Canada.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of British Columbia is set to release a decision on whether Meng Wanzhou’s case meets a key threshold of Canada’s extradition law. If Associate Chief Justice Heather Holmes rules that it fails to meet that test, Meng could be released from house arrest in Vancouver. If not, extradition proceedings will continue.

The case was triggered when Meng was arrested on a U.S. handover request in December 2018 during a routine stopover at Vancouver airport, a city where she owns two homes and often spent summer holidays. The fallout has since spanned three countries.

India steps up efforts to lure companies moving out of China

Top policymakers in India have started discussions on a framework that will attract global investors looking to shift manufacturing to the South Asian country, a senior government official told The Economic Times.

“This is needed as multinational companies looking at relocating from China to India would prefer flexible central laws over state laws for uniformity of operations across different locations,” the official told the daily newspaper.

The states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat have passed executive orders exempting new establishments from most labor rules. So, businesses there have been allowed to extend working hours from eight to 12 hours per day as part of the reforms.

Consultations with stakeholders were initiated by the labor ministry soon after the government’s announcement of the $266 billion (Rs 20 lakh crore) Covid-19 relief package.

“Industry has requested the government to create a right ecosystem for employers to grow while keeping in mind the wellbeing of workers,” an unnamed person familiar with the matter told the ET, adding that restricting exemption from labor laws to just new establishments (as proposed by some states) was not justified.

According to another informed comment, one of the proposals being examined is speeding up the reform measures.

“Ordinance route could be adopted to enact the labor codes,” this official said.

Earlier this month media reported that India’s government had reached out to more than 1,000 US businesses with an offer to relocate from China. Among those companies were medical equipment producers, food processing units, textiles, leather and makers of auto parts.

New Delhi has reportedly offered to ease tax and labor laws, and to allow easier access to land. Officials told the companies that India was more economical in terms of securing land and affordable skilled labor than if they moved back to the US or to Japan, even if overall costs were still higher than in China.

President Trump predicted he would come out victorious in his war against the "deep state." “If it keeps going the way it's going, I have a chance to break the deep state. Trump and his allies have long claimed there’s a “deep state,” or a shadow government, working to undermine his presidency. The city of Big Bear Lake has given the middle finger to Governor Gavin Newsom for his stay–at-home order, saying they won’t enforce it anymore because its residents are adults who can decide for themselves the risks of being outside amid the pandemic.

“Businesses and residents should take responsibility for their own actions” and consider “the risks with their specific circumstances (including health, legal, financial, and licensing), and act accordingly,” City officials said in a statement.

Officials of the San Bernardino county city also argued that the governor had overstepped his authority with his edict and they are not obligated to force it on citizens.

“The City has no legal responsibility to enforce the Governor’s restrictions,” officials said in a May 21 statement. “The City intends to no longer be involved in the communication or enforcement of the Governor’s orders.”

“Businesses and residences should take responsibility for their own actions. “

They said that the epidemic, which has ravaged other areas is actually minimal in their area. But residences should exercise caution when they venture outside their homes by wearing face masks and practicing social distancing.

“I just want to highlight to American citizens this does happen. I don’t know why there’s this blind belief that it cannot happen. It does happen, it happened to me,” says a woman who has come forward to tell the story about how she, as a non citizen, ended up getting registered to vote without even knowing it, and had ballots sent to her.

Ever since the advent of vote-by-mail, elections integrity activists have pointed out all the different ways that such a system could be compromised.

While rumors have circulated for years that illegal aliens and non citizens were voting, most of the evidence pointing to such has been circumstantial, with few traces of actual hard evidence.

Equally, Democrats have long praised the system of mail-in ballots, and have dismissed any concerns about voter fraud as some right wing conspiracy theory. Democrats have assured us that only citizens would be allowed to vote, and any non citizens would be stricken from the voter lists after thorough crosschecking if they tried to register.

As news of the ballot scandal continues to spread through Oregon, a new problem is rearing its head for the Democrats and those in charge of elections: A legal immigrant, but non-citizen, who is going through the process to become a citizen, has evidently been receiving ballots.

Russia Investigation And Mike Flynn

As noted by Trump, Grenell made more information public regarding the Russia investigations in three months than ODNI did in the two and a half years before the president tapped him to head the office. He also rewrote certain IC procedures to protect citizens from future abuses of power by the government.

— Directed the IC to change the way they protect the identities of U.S. citizens contained within intelligence reporting

— Completed the IC review of 53 transcripts from the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 election and made the transcripts publicly available

— Declassified previously redacted footnotes from the Justice Department Inspector General’s report into the origins of the Russian collusion investigation

— Declassified a list of government officials who requested the unmasking of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn

— Replaced FBI with ODNI as the primary group responsible for briefing presidential campaigns on information derived from national intelligence

— Declassified former national security adviser Susan Rice’s email to herself regarding a January 2016 Oval Office where progress on the Russia investigation was discussed

— Declassified additional transcripts in ODNI’s possession for potential public release by incoming DNI John Ratcliffe

Pushed International Intelligence Community To Support LGBT Issues

Grenell is recognized as the first-ever openly gay cabinet member in U.S. history, and he took it upon himself to push the IC to prioritize inclusion and sensitivity.

— Formed an IC-wide working group to support the U.S. government policy for the decriminalization of homosexuality in the 69 countries where homosexuality is a punishable offense

In addition to vacating his DNI role, Grenell announced over the weekend he will step down as the United States Ambassador to Germany, a position he served in for two years. During his time at the State Department, he successfully pressured Germany to commit to upping its annual NATO defense funding, called for a full ban of Hezbollah, and blocked the transfer of more than $300 million from German banks to Iran following Trump’s withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

1. Half of Broward County’s election precincts reported more ballots cast than the number of voters. Backlogs in processing mail ballots snarled reporting of results.

2. Confusing ballot design may have led thousands of voters to inadvertently skip an important contest.

3. Money was wasted on unneeded blank ballots, which weren’t adequately tracked and were eventually destroyed.

4. After election day, auditors found the recount was plagued by poor planning, inadequate staffing and equipment, and poor quality control.

The findings led to a troubling conclusion from Broward County Auditor Bob Melton, whose office examined what went wrong in 2018.

“We conclude that the November 2018 election was not efficiently and effectively conducted,” Melton wrote in to county commissioners. “Based on the totality of these issues, we are unable to provide assurance over the accuracy of the November 2018 election results as reported.”

The FBI documents that put Barack Obama in the ‘Obamagate’ narrative

Just 17 days before President Trump took office in January 2017, then-FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok texted bureau lawyer Lisa Page, his mistress, to express concern about sharing sensitive Russia probe evidence with the departing Obama White House.

Strzok had just engaged in a conversation with his boss, then-FBI Assistant Director William Priestap, about evidence from the investigation of incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, codenamed Crossfire Razor, or “CR” for short.

The evidence in question were so-called "tech cuts" from intercepted conversations between Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, according to the texts and interviews with officials familiar with the conversations.

Strzok related Priestap’s concerns about the potential the evidence would be politically weaponized if outgoing Director of National Intelligence James Clapper shared the intercept cuts with the White House and President Obama, a well-known Flynn critic.

“He, like us, is concerned with over sharing,” Strzok texted Page on Jan. 3, 2017, relating his conversation with Priestap. “Doesn’t want Clapper giving CR cuts to WH. All political, just shows our hand and potentially makes enemies.”

Page seemed less concerned, knowing that the FBI was set in three days to release its initial assessment of Russian interference in the U.S. election.

“Yeah, but keep in mind we were going to put that in the doc on Friday, with potentially larger distribution than just the DNI,” Page texted back.

Strzok responded, “The question is should we, particularly to the entirety of the lame duck usic [U.S Intelligence Community] with partisan axes to grind.”

That same day Strzok and Page also discussed in text messages a drama involving one of the Presidential Daily Briefings for Obama.

“Did you follow the drama of the PDB last week?” Strzok asked.

"Yup. Don’t know how it ended though,” Page responded.

“They didn’t include any of it, and Bill [Priestap] didn’t want to dissent,” Strzok added.

“Wow, Bill should make sure [Deputy Director] Andy [McCabe] knows about that since he was consulted numerous times about whether to include the reporting,” Page suggested.

This is clearly a trial run by Democrats to see if they can get away with The Scam of the Century with which they have one goal in mind: to steal all future U.S. elections.

Keep in mind that even Mexico demands election integrity. Voters in Mexico must physically show up to vote. They must have federal government-issued photo identification (with thumbprint). They can't vote in English. Voting in Mexico is only done in Spanish.

In today's America, the only possible reason to be opposed to voter ID is that you want to cheat. Everyone has government-issued ID no matter how poor, no matter skin color. Everyone needs it to collect a government check welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, Obamacare. Every Democratic voter has it.

But it's no longer enough for Democrats to block voter ID. Now it's no voter ID combined with mail-in ballots. Democrats want anyone to vote from anywhere, with no election security or integrity. And to oppose this farce and fraud is racism and voter suppression.

It's all Democrats talk about. It's in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's latest coronavirus bill. Failed Democratic candidate and spokesperson Stacey Abrams says without mail-in voting, democracy is lost. Cheating Democrats are showcasing what is in their cheating hearts: a deep desire to wipe out fair elections and "the will of the people."

900 Taliban prisoners to be freed by Afghan govt under Eid truce in biggest ever single-step release

Kabul plans to set free as many as 900 Taliban prisoners in the biggest-ever release of its kind to date. The two sides are moving closer to launching intra-Afghan peace talks, scheduled as part of the US-brokered peace process.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has started the process of releasing up to 2,000 Taliban prisoners as a gesture of goodwill, according to his spokesperson. The move comes after the government accepted the armed group’s announcement of a three-day ceasefire during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

In response to the largely upheld ceasefire, on Sunday, the President’s spokesperson delivered a promise to release up to 2,000 Taliban prisoners.

On Monday, the “gesture” began with the release of 100 Taliban prisoners, in an attempt to appease its leaders ahead of the diplomatic talks established by the Doha agreement.

The US-Taliban agreement, signed in Qatar’s capital, Doha, stipulates that the Afghan government is to release up to 5,000 Taliban prisoners, in exchange for which the Taliban would free about 1,000 Afghan military service members.

The initial ceasefire offer posed by the Taliban came directly after its leader Haibatullah Akhunzada pleaded with the United States “not to waste” the opportunity offered by the agreement, which has also set the stage for the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. - States are spending billions of dollars stocking up on medical supplies such as masks and breathing machines during the coronavirus pandemic. But more than two months into the buying binge, many aren't sharing details about how much they're spending, what they're getting for their money or which companies they're paying.

An Associated Press survey of all 50 states found a hodgepodge of public information about the purchase of masks, gloves, gowns and other hard-to-get equipment for medical and emergency workers.

Illinois has one of the most detailed tracking websites, showing the date, vendor, purpose, quantity and price of each purchase. In most states, it's not that easy. Some provided similar information only after the AP pointed to laws requiring the release of government documents.

Watchdog asks feds to investigate university, Biden center for millions in anonymous China donations

The group says the university is in violation of federal disclosure laws

A watchdog group is asking the U.S. Education Department to investigate the University of Pennsylvania and its Biden Center, a diplomacy and global engagement initiative named after the Democratic presidential candidate, for accepting millions of dollars in anonymous funds from Chinese donors. The complaint, filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, says that over the past three years, the university has accepted around $22 million in anonymous funding from Chinese sources. That's out of a total of more than $70 million from Chinese donors during that time, the NLPC said. Those significant funds, including the anonymous amounts, rolled in after the Biden Center was announced in early 2017 and launched in February 2018. The center is located in downtown Washington, D.C.

Federal records show that the University of Pennsylvania has received significant donations from China since the opening of the center. One 2018 donation alone totals $14.5 million; it is listed as "anonymous" in federal records. The NLPC alleges the university may have violated federal law in accepting those anonymous monetary donations. The Higher Education Act mandates schools report the national origins of any donations above $250,000 although not necessarily the individual names of donors themselves. Still, the NLPC is calling on the Education Department to “conduct a full Investigation and Records Request of all monetary gifts and contracts that have been received by the University of Pennsylvania and its Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement from China sources.” Neither the Biden campaign nor the Biden Center responded to requests for comment on Sunday. The University of Pennsylvania's media office also did not respond to a query.

It is not immediately evident from Penn's financial disclosures how much, if any, of those Chinese donations are going to the Biden Center. Yet Paul Kamenar, a lawyer for the NLPC, told Just the News on Sunday that "it's not too hard to connect the dots." "This is foreign money coming into the university. It’s not going to their English department," he said via phone. He noted that the university has a center called "Penn Global" with several sub-departments, one of which is the Penn Biden Center. "It’s just logical that it goes from the university to the university’s international global groups, of which the Biden center is one."

Kamenar also highlighted the university's 2020 Penn China Research Symposium, held near the end of January. That symposium featured Ambassador Huang Ping, the Consul-General from New York's Chinese consulate general. On one panel of that event, called "China and the Future of Healthcare and Biotechnology," was a representative of the Penn Biden Center. "It’s not a stretch to conclude that the Penn Biden Center has to be getting money from somewhere. They’re not holding bake sales to raise funds," Kamenar said. "Even if the source of the all the mega-millions of China donations are disclosed, depending on the terms and conditions of the grants, there’s a question of whether the University and its Biden Center are violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act," he added, calling the matter "a national security issue." Asked about the university's outward compliance with the Higher Education Act, Kamenar ultimately framed the issue as part of a larger picture.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) – The Iraqi authorities announced on Tuesday, the killing of a high-ranking Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) during a recent military operation against the terrorist group.

The spokesperson for the commander in chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Rasoul, confirmed in a statement, “the killing of Mu’taz Numan Abdul Nayef Najm Al-Jubouri Al-Makani (Hajji Tayseer).”

Indian Media Reports Up To 10,000 Chinese Soldiers Have 'Invaded' Border Territory

After over the weekend international reports said that multiple hundreds, or up to 1,000 Chinese troops have crossed into India following prior small-scale skirmishes weeks ago involving dozens of Indian and Chinese soldiers near a remote but strategically important mountain pass near Tibet, Indian media is now reporting that up to five to ten thousand PLA troops have now moved into Ladakh’s disputed Galwan river area.

Some Indian media reports have suggested multiple thousands, while a new Business Standard India report now claims up to 10,000 Chinese soldiers inside India occupying the Galwan Valley while digging into fortified positions.

Though such figures remain unconfirmed and very likely inflated, it's clear that Indian authorities are watching with growing alarm what they view as an 'invasion' of their sovereign territory.

Per the reports, a larger conflict between the two nuclear armed powers is on the horizon:

“The most worrying situation is in the Galwan valley, where the PLA has crossed China’s own claim line (which Beijing had stated was the border with India) and breached 3-4 kilometers into Indian territory. PLA troops are digging defenses to equip themselves to face any Indian attack.”

Sporadic but fierce clashes have occurred going back to the 1960's along the shared 2,100 mile border, which often involves literal fist-fights among opposing troops and border patrol guards.

A prior 2017 incident involving Indian soldiers crossing into Bhutan ostensibly to thwart a Chinese road construction project extending into the Galwan Valley resulted in a tense standoff and direct two-month long negotiations.

A Lebanese prosecutor has arrested a senior official at the country’s central bank and charged him with illegally manipulating the exchange rate, amid growing conflict between the bank and some political factions. 1st UK government minister quits IN PROTEST over Cummings lockdown violation saga

The under-secretary of state for Scotland has become the first UK government minister to resign from cabinet after PM Boris Johnson’s chief adviser Dominic Cummings allegedly broke lockdown rules at the height of Covid-19 crisis.

In his resignation letter, published on social media on Monday morning, junior minister Douglas Ross insisted that he had constituents who had not been able to say “goodbye to loved ones” and were not allowed to “mourn together” as a family during the coronavirus pandemic.

I cannot in good faith tell them they were all wrong and one senior adviser to the government was right.

Ross wrote that while Cummings’ “intentions may have been well meaning,” the vast majority of Brits do not agree with his interpretation of the lockdown rules – measures the public has had to strictly abide by.

During his press conference on Monday, Cummings offered a lengthy defense of his 260-mile lockdown trip across England – from his primary residence in London to his parents’ estate in Durham in the north east of the country. His lack of apology has sparked fury across the political spectrum and left many asking more questions.

The 48-year-old claims the journey was justified because he was worried that his ill wife and he – who had been in close working contact with Covid-19-infected Downing Street figures such as the UK PM, could become too incapacitated to look after their four-year-old child.

Reacting to the resignation, a Downing Street spokesman it would not be drawn on the precise nature of Ross’ protestations, but did say that “The Prime Minister would like to thank Douglas Ross for his service to government and regrets his decision to stand down as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland.”

Supreme Court Allows Trans Prisoner’s Gender Surgery to Move Ahead as Lawsuit Continues

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday allowed an Idaho prison inmate to continue with gender surgery at state taxpayers’ expense while the lawsuit over the procedure continues.

According to the Associated Press (AP), Justice Elena Kagan gave the order denying Idaho’s request for a stay, without explanation, but noted that Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito would have sided with the state.

Gov. Brad Little (R) had appealed to the Supreme Court in early May to overturn the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit that ordered state taxpayer dollars to pay for the gender surgery of Mason Edmo, a 32-year-old man who is serving a sentence for sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy in 2011.

The state also asked for a hold on the Ninth Circuit’s order requiring the surgery at the state’s expense to move forward pending the appeal.

“The Ninth Circuit’s decision goes against the text and original meaning of the Eighth Amendment and contradicts more than four decades of Supreme Court precedent,” Little said when he announced filing the appeal to the high Court. “We will vigorously litigate the Ninth Circuit’s unprecedented ruling at the Supreme Court because the taxpayers of Idaho should not have to pay for a procedure that is not medically necessary.”

Edmo’s surgery is scheduled for July while the Supreme Court weighs whether to hear the state’s appeal, reported CBS2 News and AP.

The surgery is expected to cost Idaho taxpayers between $20,000 and $30,000. Afterward, Edmo would be placed in a women’s prison until his scheduled release in July 2021.

Edmo sued the state three years ago, claiming rejection of his state-funded gender surgery caused him distress.

According to the news report, attorney Lori Rifkin said Edmo was in such distress that he “twice tried to cut off [his] testicles in [his] prison cell.”

However, James Shupe, the man who became the first person to obtain a legal sex designation of “non-binary” and now asserts the transgender lifestyle is a “fraud,” told Breitbart News in comments he believes Edmo’s claims are false.

“The ACLU argues Edmo attempted to castrate himself because is a female trapped in a male body,” Shupe explained. “The truth is its self-hatred of his genitals because of the behaviors they’ve fueled and sexual paraphilias at work. Or in the case of pedophiles, they’re so distressed about the urges to harm others, they’re willing to engage in self-harm or chemical castration to turn off the dangerous urges. Transgenderism works the same way for males.”

Donald Trump Warns of ‘Rigged Election’ with ‘Fraudulent’ Mail-in Ballots

President Donald Trump warned Tuesday the 2020 election would be “rigged” thanks to Democrats pushing mail-in ballots during the coronavirus pandemic.

“This will be a Rigged Election. No way!” Trump wrote on Twitter and Facebook.

The president predicted mass voter fraud in 2020, thanks to Democrat officials using the pandemic to institute mail-in voting.

“There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent,” he wrote.

The president pointed to California’s governor Gavin Newsom who signed an executive order to mail ballots to all voters in the November 3 general election.

“Mail boxes will be robbed, ballots will be forged and even illegally printed out and fraudulently signed,” Trump said.

The Republican National Committee, National Republican Congressional Committee, and California Republican Party have filed a lawsuit to block the action, arguing that it is unconstitutional.

Trump warned that Democrat activists would use the mail-in vote option to generate more votes for their party.

“That will be followed up with professionals telling all of these people, many of whom have never even thought of voting before, how, and for whom, to vote,” he wrote.

Your “Immunity Passport” Future Begins To Materialize As Airlines Call For Digital ID Tracking Systems

The world’s largest airline trade group has called for immunity passports, thermal screening, masks, and physical distancing to be a part of the industry’s strategy for returning to “normal” operations.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA), which represents 299 airlines, recently issued their publication, Biosecurity for Air Transport A Roadmap for Restarting Aviation, which outlines their strategy to open up air travel as governments begin to lift travel restrictions.

Under a section titled, “The passenger experience” and “Temporary biosecurity measures,” the IATA describes their vision of post-COVID-19 flights. The organization calls for contact tracing, a controversial method of tracking the civilian population to track the spread of COVID-19.

“We foresee the need to collect more detailed passenger contact information which can be used for tracing purposes,” the report states. “Where possible, the data should be collected in electronic form, and in advance of the passenger arriving at the airport including through eVisa and electronic travel authorization platforms.”

Interestingly, this call for pre-boarding check-in using “electronic travel authorization platforms” coincides with the recent announcement of the Covi-Pass and the Health Pass from Clear, both of which call for a digital ID system using biometrics and storing travel, health, and identification data.

Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s CEO, told Arabian Industry that “a layered approach” combining multiple measures which are “globally implemented and mutually recognized by governments” are “the way forward for biosecurity.”

The IATA also calls for temperature screening at entry points to airport terminals. They envision the airline experience involving physical distancing of 3-6 feet throughout the airport. The group believes changes to the airport buildings to allow for physical distancing may be necessary. The IATA also recommended “face coverings” for passengers and protective equipment for airline and airport staff.

Grenell declassifies slew of Russia probe files, as Ratcliffe takes helm as DNI

Richard Grenell has declassified a new batch of Russia probe documents on his way out as acting director of national intelligence, leaving the decision on whether to make those files public up to newly sworn-in Director John Ratcliffe. The documents include transcripts of phone calls that then-incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak had in December 2016, during the presidential transition period. Grenell said publicly last week that he was in the process of declassifying those files, after House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., asked that he do so.

Fox News has learned that the declassification review of those transcripts is now complete, and it will be left up to Ratcliffe on whether to release them publicly. Fox News has learned that Grenell also completed the declassification review of other documents related to the origins of the Russia probe — including one that a senior intelligence official told Fox News was “very significant in understanding how intelligence was manipulated to support launching the Russia investigation.” The official could not provide further details on that newly declassified document, but said that it will also be up to Ratcliffe to decide whether to make it public. The declassification comes after Grenell, who served as acting director while simultaneously serving as the U.S. ambassador to Germany, made waves with previous declassifications related to the Russia investigation, as well as other actions during his three months on the job.

Earlier this month, Grenell cleared for release more than 6,000 pages of transcripts of interviews from the House Intelligence Committee’s long-running Russia investigation. Schiff, under pressure from Grenell and House Republicans, ultimately released the transcripts which revealed, among other things, that top Obama officials acknowledged they knew of no “empirical evidence” of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election. Then, Grenell declassified a list of Obama-era officials who requested to unmask the identity of Flynn in intelligence reports during the presidential transition period. The roster included top-ranking figures including then-Vice President Joe Biden, then-FBI Director James Comey, then-CIA Director John Brennan, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former President Barack Obama’s chief of staff Denis McDonough, among others. Flynn's calls with the former Russian ambassador during the transition were picked up in surveillance and information about them was later leaked. Flynn’s case returned to the national spotlight after the DOJ moved to dismiss charges against him of lying to the FBI about those conversations, despite a guilty plea that he later sought to withdraw.

Considering those calls raised widespread concerns about Flynn, Democrats like Schiff in turn pressed Grenell for the underlying documents. The transcripts Grenell has declassified, though, are for five phone calls Flynn had with Kislyak on Dec. 29, 2016. Flynn's specific call with Kislyak from Dec. 22, 2016, which was picked up in surveillance and later leaked to the press, is in the FBI's possession, a source told Fox News, noting that it was not in Grenell's jurisdiction to declassify. Meanwhile, last week Grenell moved to declassify an email that former National Security Adviser Susan Rice sent to herself on President Trump’s Inauguration Day, documenting a Jan. 5, 2017, Oval Office meeting with Obama and others, during which the former president provided guidance on how law enforcement needed to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race. The declassified email revealed that Comey suggested to Obama that the National Security Council might not want to pass “sensitive information related to Russia” to Flynn, due to the fact that he had been “speaking frequently” with the Russian ambassador.

The Department of Justice filed a Statement of Interest Monday in an Alabama federal court to promote the proper and uniform interpretation of the Voting Rights Act. The Statement of Interest is part of the Department of Justice’s continuing efforts around the country to enforce our nation’s federal voting rights laws.

The lawsuit in question, brought by private plaintiffs, includes constitutional and statutory challenges to Alabama’s witness requirement for absentee ballots. Although certain of private plaintiffs’ claims relate to the COVID-19 pandemic, plaintiffs have also asked the court to enjoin Alabama’s witness requirement permanently as a violation of Section 201 of the Voting Rights Act.

The Statement of Interest explains that Section 201 prohibits denial of the right to vote to citizens who fail to prove their qualifications by the voucher of registered voters or members of any other class. Alabama’s absentee witness requirement, however, does not violate Section 201. The Statement of Interest does not take a position on any of the private plaintiffs’ other claims.

“The Voting Rights Act outlaws certain practices that deprive Americans of the right to vote because of race and other protected traits. The Voting Rights Act does not outlaw all voting-related requirements enacted by the States,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband for the Civil Rights Division. “Congress has entrusted the U.S. Department of Justice with enforcement of the Voting Rights Act and the other federal voting rights laws. These laws protect the right of Americans to vote for their preferred candidates. We will continue to enforce them fairly, including by explaining to courts the legal framework that governs challenges to the voting laws enacted by the States.”

Section 201 of the Voting Rights Act is a permanent, nationwide prohibition on the use of tests and devices in our elections. These unlawful procedures include literacy tests, educational achievement or knowledge tests, good moral character requirements, and voucher requirements.

Pentagon inspector general removed by Trump resigns

A watchdog who was yanked from his role by President Trump just before he was about to begin oversight on coronavirus spending resigned from the Pentagon.

Glenn Fine, the principal deputy inspector general of the Department of Defense, stepped down from his position in the Pentagon on Tuesday. In a statement announcing his resignation, Fine said it was time for someone else to take his place.

"The time has come for me to step down and allow others to perform this vital role,” he said. "It has been an honor to serve in the inspector general community, both as the inspector general of the Department of Justice and the DOD acting inspector general and principal deputy inspector general performing the duties of the DOD inspector general."

"The role of inspectors general is a strength of our system of government. They provide independent oversight to help improve government operations in a transparent way," he added. "They are a vital component of our system of checks and balances, and I am grateful to have been part of that system.”

Fine was working as acting inspector general for the Defense Department before Trump entered office. He was selected by a group of inspectors general to oversee the implementation of the $2.2 trillion coronavirus economic relief package known as the CARES Act.

The watchdog would have been the chairman of a new Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, but Trump fired him from his role as acting inspector general just before the committee convened. Because he was no longer an inspector general, he could not serve on the committee.

The president temporarily replaced Fine with an inspector general at the Environmental Protection Agency. Fine is one of several inspectors general to be removed by Trump in recent months.

Derech Eretz is comprised of Communications Minister Yoaz Handel and MK Zvi Hauser. Both are part of Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s bloc in the government. However, despite Gantz’s likely opposition to the annexation push, the two are expected to support it and vote alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party on any such proposal.

The coalition deal between Netanyahu and Gantz allows the former to pass annexation with a Knesset majority even without Blue and White’s support. Netanyahu has said he plans to do so in early July.

Republicans SUE California Governor Over MANDATORY Mail-In Voting Executive Order

He’s at it again. California liberal governor Gavin Newsom is once again trying to seize power in the state, this time by making mail in balloting MANDATORY.

The Republican Party has now filed a massive lawsuit in federal court over it.

Newsom of course is claiming that by doing this he will help slow the spread of Covid-19, which is already declining across the nation at a rapid rate as states open up.

Newsom, a Democrat who frequently spars with President Donald Trump on a host of issues, signed Executive Order N-64-20 on May 8. The order requires officials in all 58 of the Golden State’s counties to send all registered voters vote-by-mail ballots for the Nov. 3 general election whether they want them or not. In-person voting also will be available.

“Elections and the right to vote are foundational to our democracy,” Newsom said when he issued his order. “No Californian should be forced to risk their health in order to exercise their right to vote.”

The President and conservatives are strongly against mail-in voting and rightly so. The Democrats are notorious for screwing up election counting and election meddling.

Mail-in voting is particularly susceptible to fraud, experts say.

“The consensus, among people who study fraud carefully, is that voting by mail is a much more fertile area for fraud than voting in person,” Charles Stewart, a political science professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, previously told NPR.

Republican stalwart Tom Del Beccaro told The Epoch Times that Newsom clearly overstepped his authority as governor.

“Existing California law allows for an absentee ballot process not mail-in voting. No constitutional power nor any law permits Newsom to change duly authorized law let alone reshape our voting system on his own,” said Del Beccaro, a former chairman of the California Republican Party and author of “The Divided Era: How We Got Here and the Keys to America’s Reconciliation.” Del Beccaro is an occasional contributor to The Epoch Times.

“That is one of the many power grabs by Newsom that must be pursued in the courts and undone lest it becomes practice and encourages more lawless behavior.

A letter signed by almost 100 military personnel of the Army’s reserve forces (the vast majority colonels who graduated from the military academy in the early 1970’s) was sent to the head of the Office of Institutional Security (GSI – responsible for the national intelligence agency), General Augusto Heleno, in which they warned of the imminent risk of ‘civil war’ in Brazil and expressed their absolute support for and loyalty to their former commander. This has occurred as legal and political pressure continue to build on Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who is facing calls for his impeachment by the Congress or indictment by the courts. Although the president can still count on the active support of his core constituency (accounting for around 30% of Brazilians), and most of the larger political parties in the Congress remain reluctant to commit themselves one way or the other over impeachment proceedings, the proportion of Brazilians who disapprove of his presidency has risen steadily and is now over 50% and the formal requests for his impeachment are multiplying.

The resignation of Justice Minister Sergio Moro last month, in part at least on the basis that the president intervened in the management of the Federal Police in order to protect his children from legal and judicial investigations, has been a particularly damaging development for the president.
