See the Geminid meteor shower – always a highlight of the meteor year – Sunday evening until Monday’s dawn. The peak time as seen from around the globe is centered on 2 a.m. With no moon, the shower is expected to be grand this year!
The Geminid meteor shower – always a highlight of the meteor year – is expected to peak in 2020 on the night of December 13-14 (Sunday evening until dawn Monday). This year’s shower should be grand! The Geminids are typically a very reliable shower if you watch at the best time of night, centered on about 2 a.m. for all parts of the globe, and if you watch in a dark sky. And this year there’s no moon to ruin the shower. The meteors tend to be bold, white and quick. This shower favors Earth’s Northern Hemisphere, but it’s visible from the Southern Hemisphere, too. The curious rock comet called 3200 Phaethon is the parent body of this shower.
On a dark night, near the peak, you can often catch 50 or more meteors per hour. On an optimum night for the Geminids, it’s possible to see 150 meteors per hour … which might happen this year, given the moon-free skies accompanying this year’s Geminid meteor shower. New moon falls on December 14, 2020. On the mornings before that date, you’ll see a waning crescent moon. And – on December 11, 12 and 13, 2020 – after a night of meteor-watching, the slender lunar crescent and dazzling planet Venus will rise into your eastern sky at or near dawn.

Last night the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a rare Emergency Directive 21-01, in response to a KNOWN COMPROMISE involving SolarWinds Orion products.
This was only the fifth Emergency Directive issued by CISA under the authorities granted by Congress in the Cybersecurity Act of 2015.
CISA reported a breach of the SolarWinds Orion products.
This Emergency Directive called on all federal civilian agencies to review their networks for indicators of compromise and disconnect or power down SolarWinds Orion products immediately.
So guess who uses SolarWinds?
Dominion Voting Systems uses SolarWinds products.
It’s right there on their website.

President Trump Files Election Lawsuit in New Mexico
December 14, 2020
SANTA FE — President Trump has filed an election lawsuit challenging the results in New Mexico. The suit calls into question the use of “drop boxes” for absentee voting, as well as other changes made by New Mexico’s Secretary of State, Maggie Toulouse Oliver, which loosened the controls on casting ballots.
“…the State of New Mexico has not only tainted the integrity of the their own citizens’ vote, but their action have also debased the votes of the citizens in New Mexico that remain loyal to the Constitution.”
Trump v. Oliver, plaintiff’s complaint
Attorneys for the President argue these “non-legislative”changes made by the secretary violate the U.S. Constitution. The President’s legal team asserts that only the state legislature could make the changes that New Mexico made to its electoral process this year. “…executive branch government officials cannot subvert these constitutional requirements, no matter their stated intent,” the lawsuit reads.
This morning, New’s Mexico electors officially cast their five votes for former Vice President Joe Biden.
The Trump suit asks the court to issue a temporary restraining order to block New Mexico’s electors from taking part in the Electoral College next month and seeks to have the Democrat controlled legislature step-in.

Solarwinds in the USAspending.gov database. Not all listings on a keyword search are the company - the few grants I looked at seem to space oriented.
Contracts and IDVs (IDV = Indefinite Delivery Vehicle) have some good meat on the bones. Like a DoD IDV through a vendor called GovSmart purchasing $7.8 Million dollars worth of hardware and Solarwinds software. (2012-2013)
Or a definitive DoD contract, again with GovSmart, for multiple Solarwinds systems; potential award amount =$38 Million. Let in 2019 w/seven months remaining on contract.
Since the few contracts I looked at were through vendors, there is not a lot of money to be seen on Solarwinds as a recipient of funds - the money went through gov't. agencies' contractors. But including Solarwinds as a recipient JIC.

I was in Africa in an area w/o grid power for a couple of months. They would run the generators for a couple of hours 2 or 3 times a day to keep the fridge and freezer cold and stayed out of them when power was down. It was very hot where I was and they would run from ~10AM-1PM and from ~6PM-11PM.
Once you get over the idea that electricity has to be on all the time it's easy to work around the down intervals.

Miller (Acting Sec. of Defense - assumed office Nov. 9th this year) and Chad Wolf (Acting Sec. Homeland Security - assumed duties Nov. 13, 2019).
