Les Manifestants Anti-Passeport Vaccinal Prennent D'Assaut La Mairie Française, Tirent Vers Le Bas Le Portrait De Macron.

Environ 300 manifestants anti-passeport vaccinal ont pris d'assaut la mairie de Chambéry, dénonçant les mesures françaises visant à mettre en place un passeport vaccinal.

Le groupe s " était réuni devant le palais de justice vers 14 heures mercredi avant de se diriger vers la mairie.

Après avoir remarqué que la porte de la mairie avait été laissée ouverte, les manifestants sont entrés en criant divers slogans, notamment "Non au laissez-passer [vaccin] “et" Macron doit démissionner!"Le diffuseur français France Info rapporte.

Les manifestants ont ensuite enlevé le portrait officiel du président Emmanuel Macron, un geste symbolique qui a également été vu fin 2019 lorsque des militants pour le climat ont volé les portraits présidentiels de quelque 130 mairies à travers la France.

“La ville de Chambéry condamne avec la plus grande fermeté cette intrusion“, a indiqué la mairie dans un communiqué, ajoutant qu'il n'était pas”tolérable de s'attaquer aux symboles républicains et au lieu symbolique qu'est un hôtel de ville".

Selon France Info, les manifestants ne sont restés dans la mairie que 10 à 15 minutes avant de partir. Ils ont ensuite poursuivi leur manifestation dans d'autres parties de la ville avant de tenter de marcher vers une voie rapide voisine, mais ont été bloqués par les gendarmes locaux. Il s'agissait de la troisième manifestation contre les passeports vaccinaux dans la ville en une semaine.

La manifestation intervient quelques jours après un incendie criminel présumé contre un centre de vaccination dans la commune d'Urrugne dans le département des Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

Philippe Aramendi, le maire d'Urrugne, a déclaré “ " Il est peut-être trop tôt pour savoir si nous avons affaire à des anti-vaxxers, mais s'ils le sont, c'est attristant.”

Le week-end dernier, plus de 100 000 personnes sont descendues dans la rue pour protester contre la politique française de passeport vaccinal, qui obligera les personnes à présenter un laissez-passer santé pour accéder à certains commerces tels que les restaurants ou s'engager dans diverses formes de voyage.

Les propriétaires d'entreprises qui ne vérifient pas le pass santé pourraient également être punis en vertu de la nouvelle politique, avec des amendes allant jusqu'à 45 000 €(38 487 £/53 100£) et un an de prison.

En 2015, des responsables du renseignement français ont averti le Département d'État américain que la Chine réduisait la collaboration convenue à l'Institut de virologie de Wuhan, a déclaré un ancien responsable du Département d'État au Daily Caller News Foundation.

La France a fourni la conception du laboratoire, une grande partie de sa technologie et une formation à la biosécurité, a rapporté un câble du Département d'État en 2018.

En 2015, des responsables du renseignement français ont averti le département d'État américain et leur propre ministère des Affaires étrangères que la Chine réduisait la collaboration convenue au laboratoire, a déclaré l'ancien responsable de l'État David Asher, aujourd'hui chercheur principal au groupe de réflexion Hudson Institute, au Daily Caller News Foundation.

En 2017, les Français “ont été expulsés " du laboratoire et la coopération a cessé, conduisant les responsables français à avertir le Département d'État qu'ils avaient de graves préoccupations quant aux motivations chinoises, selon Asher.

Le Département d'État a allégué en janvier 2021, à la fin de l'administration Trump, que le laboratoire de Wuhan s'était engagé dans des recherches classifiées pour le compte de l'armée chinoise depuis au moins 2017.

Le Département d'État n'a pas répondu à la demande de commentaires de la Daily Caller News Foundation.

Jeudi, la Chine a déclaré qu'elle ne permettrait pas à l'Organisation mondiale de la Santé d'inspecter davantage le laboratoire. La Chine a empêché l'OMS d'accéder aux dossiers importants du laboratoire.

Les citoyens non vaccinés de France et d'Italie devraient faire face à des restrictions plus strictes après que les autorités se soient prononcées en faveur des laissez-passer de santé COVID-19 pour ceux qui tentent d'entrer dans les restaurants, les bars et les hôpitaux, ainsi que de voyager.

En France, la plus haute autorité constitutionnelle du pays en août. 5 a accepté la plupart des aspects d'une nouvelle loi qui oblige les citoyens à porter un laissez-passer spécial COVID-19 à partir de la semaine prochaine.

Un laissez-passer de santé n'est accordé qu'à ceux qui ont été entièrement vaccinés, récemment guéri d'une infection ou récemment testés négatifs du virus.

Les nouvelles restrictions signifient que les résidents ne seront autorisés à accéder aux cafés, restaurants et, dans certains cas, aux hôpitaux, que s'ils présentent le laissez-passer santé.

Alors que le pass est en vigueur en France depuis le 21 juillet pour les lieux culturels et de loisirs, notamment les cinémas, les salles de concert et les parcs à thème d'une capacité de plus de 50 personnes, la nouvelle loi étend considérablement son application.

Le Conseil constitutionnel a également décidé jeudi que les laissez-passer seraient nécessaires pour les voyages longue distance en train, en avion ou en bus, a rapporté Associated Press.

Il a également approuvé une décision selon laquelle les travailleurs de la santé devraient être vaccinés contre le virus d'ici septembre. 15 et les visiteurs de l'hôpital auront également besoin d'un laissez-passer de santé.

Le tribunal spécial a annulé plusieurs mesures de la loi, notamment l'isolement automatique de 10 jours des personnes infectées par le virus n'étant autorisées à sortir que deux heures par jour, ce qui, selon lui, va à l'encontre des libertés françaises.

Il a annulé la suspension des contrats à court terme pour ceux qui n'avaient pas de carte santé-tout en acceptant une suspension sans rémunération des salariés ayant des contrats à long terme.

Le président Emmanuel Macron a annoncé la proposition de loi en juillet et elle a été transmise de toute urgence au Parlement la semaine dernière dans un contexte d'augmentation des cas de COVID-19 dans le pays en raison de la variante delta très contagieuse.

Cependant, les opposants aux mesures accusent Macron de piétiner les libertés et de discriminer les non-vaccinés.

La récente décision de la cour a déclenché des manifestations devant le Conseil constitutionnel à Paris, plusieurs centaines de personnes dénonçant la décision, tandis que d'autres manifestations sont prévues ce week-end.

Pentagon to seek approval to make COVID-19 vaccines mandatory

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Pentagon on Monday said that it will seek U.S. President Joe Biden's approval by the middle of September to require military members to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

After setting COVID-19 rules for federal workers, Biden last month directed the Pentagon to look into "how and when" it will require members of the military to take the vaccine.

The Defense Department is targeting mid-September for a vaccination deadline based on expectations for the Food and Drug Administration to give full approval to the Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE vaccine. Currently it falls under an emergency use authorization.

"I strongly support Secretary (Lloyd) Austin’s message to the (military) today on the Department of Defense’s plan to add the COVID-19 vaccine to the list of required vaccinations for our service members not later than mid-September," Biden said in a statement.

The deadline could be moved up if the FDA approves the vaccine earlier, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a memo. Austin said that he could act even sooner or recommend a different course if the situation worsened.

Two U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the vaccine could have been immediately mandated but that more than a month had been given with the hope of full FDA approval, which might reduce fears about the safety of the shot.

Top U.S. infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci has said that he hopes regulators could start granting full approval for the vaccines as soon as this month.

The U.S. military says around half the U.S. armed forces are already fully vaccinated, a number that climbs significantly when counting only active duty troops and excluding National Guard and reserve members.

Vaccination rates are highest in the Navy, which suffered from a high-profile outbreak last year aboard an aircraft carrier. About 73% of sailors are fully vaccinated.

That compares with the U.S. national average of about 60% of adults ages 18 and over who have been fully vaccinated.

Because U.S. troops are generally younger and fitter, relatively few U.S. servicemembers have died as a result of COVID-19 - just 28 in total, according to Pentagon data.

Many congressional Republicans have refused to say publicly whether they have been vaccinated, and some have attacked the shots as unnecessary or dangerous.

France’s summer was marred by the rollout of a national vaccine passport and the ensuing protests which continue to take place every Saturday across the country. In the midst of this social tension, a politically significant event was given little note.

In July, the French Interior Ministry – responsible for organizing national elections – presented the official dates for the upcoming and much anticipated 2022 Presidential election. While every French Presidential election runoff has occurred in early May since 1974, the government, with the approval of the nation’s council of Ministers, opted to advance the dates of the election to April 10th for the first round and April 24th for the runoff vote.

This change is significant because it conflicts with national public holidays.

French families typically align their vacations with the public school holidays. In fact, employers frequently require their employees to take their vacations during these breaks as a way of managing workflow.

School holiday dates are staggered depending on the different administrative regions of the country to avoid overcrowding of the domestic transportation system, and French workers often make use of their time off by traveling outside their home town to visit family and friends. During holiday seasons, certain regions experience an outflow of residents.

As a consequence, if a vote is scheduled during one of these periods, turnout is lower in regions where employees are on holiday because there is no early voting in France.

By scheduling the runoff election in early May when the workforce isn’t on break, the government was able to avoid conflicts with national holidays. Alternatively, when the dates did create a conflict, the government selected weeks when all regions’ vacations overlapped so as not to create regional discrepancies. This Presidential election will be different however because only a third of the country will be on holiday at the time of the vote. It’s the makeup of the regions which are on break during the runoff that gives rise to concern among the French opposition.

On April 24th 2022, the date of the runoff election, the northern region of France called “Hauts-de-France” and the southeastern region of “Provence-Alpes-Côte D’Azur” will be on holiday. Significantly, these are the two most unfavorable regions for the incumbent President Macron.

On the one hand, the north of France is very blue-collar, a consequence of the dying heavy industry and mining sectors of the country. The electorate is very sympathetic to the populist political platforms advocated for by Marine Le Pen as well as the national left-wing opposition to Macron. The southeast on the other hand is a conservative bastion and favors the traditional right wing parties and Marine Le Pen over the incumbent President.

Alors que chaque second tour de l'élection présidentielle française a lieu début mai depuis 1974, le gouvernement, avec l'approbation du conseil des ministres de la nation, a choisi d'avancer les dates du scrutin au 10 avril pour le premier tour et au 24 avril pour le second tour.

Ce changement est important car il entre en conflit avec les jours fériés nationaux.

Les familles françaises alignent généralement leurs vacances sur les vacances scolaires publiques. En fait, les employeurs exigent fréquemment que leurs employés prennent leurs vacances pendant ces pauses pour gérer le flux de travail.

Les dates des vacances scolaires sont décalées en fonction des différentes régions administratives du pays pour éviter la surpopulation du système de transport intérieur, et les travailleurs français profitent souvent de leurs congés en se rendant en dehors de leur ville natale pour rendre visite à leur famille et à leurs amis. Pendant les périodes de vacances, certaines régions connaissent un exode de résidents.

En conséquence, si un vote est programmé pendant l'une de ces périodes, la participation est plus faible dans les régions où les salariés sont en vacances car il n'y a pas de vote anticipé en France.

En programmant le second tour des élections au début du mois de mai alors que la main-d'œuvre n'est pas en pause, le gouvernement a pu éviter les conflits avec les fêtes nationales. Alternativement, lorsque les dates ont créé un conflit, le gouvernement a choisi des semaines où les vacances de toutes les régions se chevauchaient afin de ne pas créer d'écarts régionaux. Cette élection présidentielle sera cependant différente car seul un tiers du pays sera en vacances au moment du vote. C'est la composition des régions en pause lors du second tour qui suscite l'inquiétude de l'opposition française.

Le 24 avril 2022, date du second tour, la région nord de la France appelée “Hauts-de-France” et la région sud-est de “Provence-Alpes-Côte D'Azur” seront en vacances. De manière significative, ce sont les deux régions les plus défavorables au président sortant Macron.

D'une part, le nord de la France est très col bleu, conséquence de la disparition de l'industrie lourde et des secteurs miniers du pays. L'électorat est très favorable aux plates-formes politiques populistes prônées par Marine Le Pen ainsi qu'à l'opposition nationale de gauche à Macron. Le sud-est, en revanche, est un bastion conservateur et favorise les partis de droite traditionnels et Marine Le Pen par rapport au président sortant.

French Senate Introduces Bill to Mandate COVID-19 Vaccinations for All Beginning January 1, 2022

Following in the footsteps of much of Europe, France has introduced several stringent vaccine mandates that have irrevocably changed the landscape of life in the nation. The city of lights has been illuminated with the allegorical ambiance of pitchforks and torches as massive protests have taken to the streets of Paris since President Emmanuel Macron announced measures on July 12th that require proof of vaccination to enter cafés, restaurants, and even hospitals. The forewarning of the outcries of those protesters has now reached its apotheosis as the Social Affairs Committee of the French Senate has introduced a bill that will require mandatory vaccinations against COVID-19 for all citizens beginning on January 1st, 2022.

The proposed vaccine mandate was introduced by Senator Bernard Jomier on October 4th. Jomier, the Senator of Paris who introduced the law proposition, sits as the Vice-Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices, Social Security Assessment and Control Mission, and Socialist, Ecologist and Republican Group within the French government. Jomier, a member of the Socialist Party, continues to work as a physician as he had preceding his initial term as a Senator which began in 2017. He and his fellow senators Marie-Pierre La Gontrie, Monique Lubin among others had initially introduced the premise of a nation-wide vaccine mandate to the French Senate on August 31st but have since crafted the premise of the bill in a much more actionable manner at its first reading before the Social Affairs Committee.

Jomier's vision for enacting compulsory vaccines against COVID-19 would cite precedent that already requires innoculations against other diseases. Under Article L3111-1 of the Public Health Code, there are currently eleven mandatory vaccines required for citizens without medical exemptions. The existing eleven mandatory vaccines are for antidiphtheric, antitetanus, antipoliomyelitis, pertussis, haemophilus influenzae type b, hepatitis virus type b, invasive pneumococcal infections, serogroup c meningococcus, measles, mumps, and rubella. Jomier's law proposition would amend that article of the Public Health Code to add vaccinations against SARS-CoV-2 to that schedule. Mandatory vaccinations would take effect beginning January 1st, 2022 and would those who do not comply would be subject to a fine of €135 under Article 519 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure. The fine can increase to as much as €1,500 for repeated offenses in which those mandated to vaccine do not comply. A public session discussion on the proposed amendment to the Public Health Code will take place in the French Senate on October 13th before being forwarded for consideration to the National Assembly.

La mise en garde contre les tollés de ces manifestants a maintenant atteint son apothéose alors que la Commission des Affaires sociales du Sénat français a déposé un projet de loi qui imposera des vaccinations obligatoires contre le COVID-19 pour tous les citoyens à compter du 1er janvier 2022.

Le mandat vaccinal proposé a été présenté par le sénateur Bernard Jomier le 4 octobre dernier. Jomier, le Sénateur de Paris qui a présenté la proposition de loi, siège en tant que Vice-président de la Commission des Affaires sociales. Il est également membre de l'Office Parlementaire d'Évaluation des Choix Scientifiques et Technologiques, de la Mission d'Évaluation et de Contrôle de la Sécurité Sociale et du Groupe Socialiste, Écologiste et Républicain au sein du Gouvernement français. Jomier, membre du Parti socialiste, continue de travailler comme médecin comme il l'avait fait avant son premier mandat de sénateur qui a débuté en 2017. Lui et ses collègues sénateurs Marie-Pierre La Gontrie, Monique Lubin entre autres avaient initialement présenté au Sénat français le 31 août les prémisses d'un mandat vaccinal national, mais ont depuis élaboré les prémisses du projet de loi de manière beaucoup plus concrète lors de sa première lecture devant la Commission des Affaires sociales.

La vision de Jomier pour l'adoption de vaccins obligatoires contre le COVID-19 citerait un précédent qui nécessite déjà des innoculations contre d'autres maladies. En vertu de l'article L3111-1 du Code de la Santé Publique, il existe actuellement onze vaccins obligatoires requis pour les citoyens sans exemption médicale. Les onze vaccins obligatoires existants concernent les antidiphtériques, les antitétaniques, les antipoliomyélites, la coqueluche, l'haemophilus influenzae de type b, le virus de l'hépatite de type b, les infections invasives à pneumocoque, le méningocoque du sérogroupe c, la rougeole, les oreillons et la rubéole. La proposition de loi de Jomier modifierait cet article du Code de la santé publique pour ajouter les vaccins contre le SRAS-COV-2 à cette annexe. Les vaccinations obligatoires entreraient en vigueur à compter du 1er janvier 2022 et ceux qui ne s'y conformeraient pas s'exposeraient à une amende de 135 € au titre de l'article 519 du Code de Procédure Pénale. L'amende peut aller jusqu'à 1 500 € pour des infractions répétées dans lesquelles les personnes mandatées pour le vaccin ne se conforment pas. Une discussion en séance publique sur le projet de modification du Code de la Santé Publique aura lieu au Sénat français le 13 octobre avant d'être transmise pour examen à l'Assemblée nationale.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday said he will be tying the vaccine passports to Covid booster shots for people over 65 as cases rise across France.

Prosecutors Oppose Ghislaine Maxwell's Last-Minute Bid To Delay Sentencing

The prosecutors in the case against Jeffrey Eppstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell on June 26 dismissed claims raised by the defendant’s attorneys, who told the judge that Maxwell was unable to access her legal documents because she had been placed on suicide watch.

In a June 25 letter to Judge Alison Nathan from Bobbi Sternheim, one of Ghislaine Maxwell’s defense attorneys, Sternheim informed the court that Maxwell was placed on suicide watch on June 24 by the Manhattan Detention Center (MDC), which in turn could cause a delay in Maxwell’s sentencing, scheduled for this Tuesday.

Sternheim went on to write, “She is not permitted to possess and review legal documents and is not permitted paper or pen. This has prevented her from preparing for sentencing.”

She states this was done “without having conducted a psychological evaluation and without justification.”

The attorney goes on to say, “Ms. Maxwell was abruptly removed from general population and returned to solitary confinement, this time without any clothing, toothpaste, soap, legal papers, etc. She was provided a ′suicide smock′ and is given a few sheets of toilet paper on request. This morning a psychologist evaluated Ms. Maxwell and determined she is not suicidal.”

The prosecution investigated the allegations and came to a different conclusion.

In a letter to Nathan dated June 26, the prosecution wrote, “This morning, the Government spoke directly with the Warden and the Chief Psychologists of the MDC. Based on that conversation, the Government understands that the defendant currently has access to all of her legal documents in hard copy and is able to confer with defense counsel. Accordingly, there is no basis to adjourn sentencing in this matter.”

The letter confirms Maxwell was indeed placed on suicide watch, after the Bureau of Prisons Inspector General’s Office (the IG) had received an email from Maxwell claiming to be in fear for her safety, specifically from members of the MDC staff.

However, it goes on to say, “Although the defendant has claimed to psychology staff that she is not suicidal, she has refused to answer psychology staff’s questions regarding the threat she reported to the IG.

“While she claimed to the IG to be in fear for her safety, she refused to tell the psychology staff what that fear is.”

The prosecution claims the warden and the chief psychologist have confirmed that Maxwell “will be able to prepare for sentencing unencumbered.”
