A fair point on the models, the second pic does look a lot like shey, I'll grant you that.
Now why didn't you just do that back when we started the discussion about the comparison of the models instead of screeching like a nigger and flinging shit around because someone else dared to question you?
Just think of how much time we would both have saved if you had just posted this first?
Now can you do the same for the supposed "Patreon/Epic" deal?
It makes no sense, simply because you can't prove what percent of donations any given creator receives that go toward each thing they have made.
For example, if a creator has made 5 games, one based on the Unreal Engine, one based on Unity and three on engines of his own make, what percentage of his income can epic claim their 30% cut? Or however much it is they claim, the exact value isn't important.
You could argue that each game might reprisent 20% of his revenue, rather than his entire revenue, but what if the game based on unreal engine made up 80% of the total times his games where downloaded? In such a case you could make a case that this one game is worth more than 20% of his revenue. Other things affect this aswell, like if the game is only available at an expensive tier, than each time its downloaded would be worth a higher percent of his total revenue? What if he makes the game free instead? Can you still claim it makes up any percentage at all of his revenue?
The question of just how much money those licences are supposed to cash in from REALLY isn't a simple question, and there is no way in hell patron is getting involve in shit like this, where a miscalculation is liable to get you sued by one party or the other, especially if they don't have a stake in it themselves, since the licence money would go to someone else and they can't be sued for what their creators do anyway.
Not only would this involve work on patreons part, but patreon wouldn't get any money from doing this, and the amount of work if thPost too long. Click here to view the full text.
