This year I got interested in making lightboards, they're basically solid transparent panels like acrylic or glass which can be drawn on with markers. The sides of the panel are lit up with lights like LED's. This gives the effect to lit up the drawn colors on the transparent panel, which is a pretty cool effect. Pic related

Those are called surface mount parts, they don't have pins that go through they board and just get soldered (like glued) on top of it

In recent years we've been seeing more embedded components, which become a part of the circuit board (as in embedded inside it), but those are more difficult to get at for repairs, might be more practical for disposable circuits

The idea is that the board has 2 hoverpads which cause it to hover, provided energy from the box in the center.

The dimensions for the size of this hoverboard are as follows;

Length: 70 cm or 27"

Width: 18,8 cm or 7.5"

Depth: 2,5 cm or 1"

Regular cd/dvd/blueray disc size could be used for elements inside the hoverpads. Given that idea the size of such a disc is 12 cm in diameter. The aluminium plates are about 17 cm wide. so an idea for the cover for the hoverpad could be 16 cm diameter on the outermost edge, middle slant could vary and the inner ring could be 12 cm diameter. The sketch in the pic has a side view of the cover for this idea.

Someone had an idea for alternative propulsion after seeing the shower head jerk around whilst attempting to take a shower

(The variable acceleration of the water entering/leaving the showerhead/waterhose apparently produced motion of it)

We will need something very capable to get off planet and get to another habitable one and then even if we'd get to another habitable one a lot of things might be different. There are some pretty interesting patents in the pdf thread but we might need some pretty crazy stuff to make it anywhere. Even if the drive mechanisms may seem simple, they will require some kinda power source. If the power source is organic, say bullshit, then its renewable if there's an ecosphere to sustain it, but the craft might have to be pretty big for that. It would have to have the cows, bulls and the grass to feed them and all that stuff if its going on some interstellar mission. Distances in outer space are also ludicrous so we might also need some quantum quantum hardon collider magic. Or we could use antimatter but it doesn't really matter yet. The important thing is to get somewhere. Welcome aboard.

The yellow, red and blue ones are color shifted from the green one, so the colors might need some fixing on those but the fixes in >>1041 have been applied to them. I was going to make a different blue colored one but this one works. Also in changing the colors I noticed some things like the gray lines in the blotter and the requirement star (which has its own color for some reason)

The gray lines in the blotter are specific to the /hover/ css

The custom css style is overlayed over the custom board style as an inline style, that's kinda intersting

Also the custom style automatically is applied everywhere even if the option for that isn't ticked (at least for me)
