Posting a pic of original hover css for reference (if it displays differently for you then you might need to update your browser to view it properly)

The site has been updated so portions of the original hover css do not cover some of the more recent features yet.
I'm working on a fix (to make it look better).

Really nice looking board BO, but i have a few suggestions for it.
Do you think you could try transferring the style of the "Posting mode: Reply" box to the blotter. You could also try just removing the gray
background entirely, since i think that'd look much better.
also could you copy & paste this into the board announcements box in your board configuration settings:
http://pastebin.com/V2niXL3D
I think the above would look a bit better than what you currently have.

I removed the background from the blotter.
Thanks for the suggestions.
The blotter text is like that for consistency but I might change it later.
I will experiment with moving the "Posting mode: Reply" box to see if it looks better.
I also noticed that in your screenshot the button style doesn't show up. More recent browsers
have support for changing the styles of submit forms and buttons,
it would be great if it worked on older browsers too but I'm not sure
if I could fix that. Hiding the actual button and replacing it with an
image would most likely cause the button to not work anymore.

I've also fixed the spacing for the banner so that its about equally close to the text
as it is to the boardlist section.

I'm working on some stylesheets for when 8chan migrates over to inifinity next on November 9th.
If the retro look still works I will make it the default for the board as the switch-over happens.
I will also have a Next theme for those who like that.

Apparently the migration isn't until December, as today is the start of open beta. Which means I have some time to fix up the stylesheet some more before it happens. I'm considering using only the "retro" look (which should be the default one) to begin with and see about further style modifications later.

I'm still working on the infinity next stylesheet, I may have to make more changes to it while the site is being worked on.

Thanks. The stylesheet for infinity next looks almost identical despite various setbacks and modifications which made styling it to keep the current look a lot more difficult. The resizable reply box has been the most difficult part.
Pic related - its the style as it currently looks on infinity next as of this posting

That looks pretty good. My only major gripe with default Next's layout is the floating quick reply box/large right hand margin as it takes up so much room (I think Josh mentioned it's only used at higher resolutions with my current res being near the lower bound). I tend to maximize the area available for web pages (hiding the taskbar, removing as much shit at the top as possible, etc.) so it sets off my autism to have this large gap I can't do anything with.

Yeah, the infinity next reply box being on the right side by default like the quick reply was bad enough in itself, but having it float around and resizable was a total gizmo bad idea. It might work for phones but most chan users I know of don't actively browse much using phones. I hope they only use it for quick reply and stick with the static reply box for the default regular look.
I've been a bit busy figuring out some things, reorganizing and reading through recent information to make way for new adjustments.

Infinity Next has been having some big issues. I read something about a 3rd migration today. But the /hover/ skin looks good.

Infinity Next is finally over. It was a terrible idea from the start and it was an uphill battle just trying to keep up with fixing the css for it to retain the familiar old layout. Every single time I had adjusted the css, something got changed which broke it. It was as if he was making it deliberately more and more difficult to keep the familiar old layout and making the users submit to using the "de facto" styling. He even went as far as adding forced style attributes to the html pages.
On the up side it helped me learn some more css tricks to counter the changes.
This board has now survived the Infinity Never debacle and even though it might be slow it will still go on.

This is a stylesheet I made for browsing style-less boards on 8chan, its an experimental look which might work well for some boards, with extra clearing space to make the page more readable while ads are visible and a bigger size font top bar
I call it "dark midori"

background: #004B00;
border: #393 1px solid;
font-family: sans-serif;
font-size: 10pt;
}
And some colorchanges for redtext stuff;
span.heading

}
span.sage
{
color:#3C3;
}
.intro span.capcode, p.intro a.capcode, p.intro a.nametag

font-weight:bold;
text-shadow: black 2px 2px 2px, black -2px -2px 2px, black -2px 2px 2px, black 2px -2px 2px;

You're welcome
The yellow, red and blue ones are color shifted from the green one, so the colors might need some fixing on those but the fixes in >>1041 have been applied to them. I was going to make a different blue colored one but this one works. Also in changing the colors I noticed some things like the gray lines in the blotter and the requirement star (which has its own color for some reason)

The gray lines in the blotter are specific to the /hover/ css
The custom css style is overlayed over the custom board style as an inline style, that's kinda intersting
Also the custom style automatically is applied everywhere even if the option for that isn't ticked (at least for me)
