Last Microsoft OS that wasn't a 4gb trojan horse streaming your entire existence to the NSA would be Windows 7, which was compromised when compared to XP (all ports can be easily closed with a few tweaks), but at least the telemetry could be disabled and a third party firewall took care of the rest.
