I made a dump move and bought myself a x260 because of muh battery life. I bought it with a cheap hdd and wanted to switch the HDD. They actually positioned the cable that if you loose the Sata there's a high possibillity to damage the cable. they sould have put a sata connection directly on the motherboard, so that you could just pull the hdd out instead you easily damage the fucking cable. it's clearly made to break >.<

I was thinking of 8GB, for GPU I want the cheapest one that can easily support 1920x1080 and 1080p video. Would a GT 710 do the job?

Since Huawei got blacklisted for threatening Google's Monopoly (or for not being subtle about it's spying tactics), they made their own OS (obviously). HongmengOS AKA HarmonyOS AKA OakOS is already threatening (for them) to get installed on 1/3 of all Smartphones in the world since Huawei decided to start up the GDSA alliance.

It's a collective of Chinese Smartphone Manufacturers (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo) that aims to switch them all to HarmonyOS by the end of the year as painlessly as possible, and to transition all of the applications from Google Play to AppGallery. It's Huawei's little: "If we go down, they go down with us" alliance.

OnePlus is so far one of the few manufacturers that hasn't decided to join the GDSA and to slowly switch over to HarmonyOS. Do you think this is a bad thing, or a blessing in disguise?

I found this mapping tool called Leela Maps (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/leela-maps/id1462683989), for iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad, that can be used to create posts with filterable #hashtags, that can be shared publicly or privately to select users.

Private posts are sent as links and use Apple's secret key encryption. (If you don't trust that, use codewords.) Public posts are visible to all other users focused on the region. Search is often slow. Refresh the map by tapping the search bar. All hashtags used are saved in the search.

I figured it was good to share here

No, there is no incentive to post, there is no goal. When people will get bored of posting about how "awesome" the past was, this board will die out completely. If that by some miracle doesn't happen, then 8kun will die instead, repeating what has already happened with 8chan. We seriously need to start thinking about building our own infrastructure, which would serve as a posting incentive and better resilience against influence of non /tech/ related world on this board's existence. I also propose moving away from web technologies as it will only get harder to maintain all the bloated server software in the future. Now let us begin with operation GNU/Phoenix, /tech/ shall rise from ashes of 8ch once again! Boot up GNU plus Linux, equip your disk halo, harvest the toejam and start hacking!
