Batman Ninja is an example of incompetence on DC/WB's part. The english dub people fully admit they made up everything because the translation script they got was too short. Then they fucked up the blu-ray release subs by just putting the english dub script as the subs. You have to go to special features to activate the real japanese subs. It's a fucking mess. They also completely dismissed their incompetence by saying Miyazaki/Ghibli do all the audio recordings after the animation. Like that some how excuses anything.

What settings/config are you using for youtube-dl? That happens when the video and audio streams are incompatible in the container format you're trying to put them in, webm can only contain opus and and vorbis audio for examle. By default it uses 'best video + best audio' so sometimes the best video could be a vp9 stream and the best audio could be an aac stream, which is incompatible in the .webm format so it defaults to using matroska, .mkv. Since that container can fit in damn near anything. Other times the video could be h264 and the audio can be opus, which can be contained in .mp4, but 8chan won't allow that. MP4s must be exactly one h264 video and optionally one aac audio and webm must be exactly one vp8 or vp9 video and optionally one vorbis or opus audio.
To avoid this either use -f 43 or -f 18 for youtube videos which will guarantee 8chan compatible 360p webms and mp4s respectively. You can also use -f best, which sould be a 720p/1080p mp4/webm.

Weird. In those cases it's best to just re-encode the audio depending on what the video codec is. Even hour long videos will only take a few minutes to re-encode audio streams. Either ffprobe, a tool that comes with ffmpeg 'ffprobe exampe.mkv' should tell you the video and audio codecs, or your media player should be able to list the video and audio formats. If the video is h264 transcode the audio to aac, if it's vp8/9 transcode the audio to opus.

Read the manual page of youtube-dl, homos. Here's how you get any video in 8chan-postable format and generally the best quality one can get without reencoding a better version.

Where "$YTLINK" is the link of the youtube video you download. The arguments for "-f" are in quotes to avoid being interpretated by the shell, the parenthesis groups the specified streams togheter for the options that follow them. This downloads the highest bitrate video compatible with the webm container, plus the highest bitrate audio compatible with the webm container, and the end result has to be below 16MBs.
For some reason youtube-dl doesn't allow you to specify the codecs you want, and this creates edge cases where the vorbis audio may have a very slightly higher bitrate than the opus bitrate, and ytdl will pick the lower quality vorbis codec instead of opus. Theoretically the same thing may happen with vp8 vs vp9, but if I recall correctly the way youtube currently sets up streams happens to never produce vp8 streams with bigger sizes than vp9 streams. As for how it balances how much is reserved for audio vs video, I have no idea how it works, but I haven't had it go wrong in the few videos I downloaded. Anyway, that command should automate things for you.
In the odd case you may want to download a .mp4 file, here's how to do it:
youtube-dl -f "(bestvideo[ext=mp4]+bestaudio[ext=m4a])[filesize<16M]" $YTLINK
VP9 gives you better quality than h264 which is what the mp4 youtube streams use, and although I'm not sure whether AAC which is what youtube's m4a uses is better than vorbis, opus definitely is better than both. So don't use this command, but it's there if you need it for whatever reason.
If you REALLY care about quality, very often you're better off downloading the biggest possible youtube stream of the video, and reencoding it yourself to a lower bitrate. Youtube encodes a lot of video and they prioritize encoding speed which hurts their quality , most of the time you can just download their best version of the video and reencoding it to a lower bitrate that fits 8chan will be better than whatever low bitrate stream they have.
