probably a very late reply but many bodies actually support appliers you can use for nice latex, the downside is you cant modify them for shit and are stuck with how they look like. (and like another anon pointed out, maitreya works OK but >appliers)

KaS is a bit overpriced but since your cap for money is like 40$ that is more than enough, only issue id say (besides the catsuit only working with its own stuff) it has its all the body parts are locked individually and it might annoy whoever is your owner, but on upside it has boots, gloves and corset fit several other body types like maitreya, etc.

And yes NGW has a very nice hood and a few accessories, however they dont have normal gloves. Best advice is find someone who already is into this stuff and he can guide you over in game, try demos, etc.

Nowhere popular is particularly good for rubber. Like other's have mentioned they usually get over run with autistic furries.

You are best getting to know people in the scene and finding more select/private places. That most of the cool kids don't appreciate new people coming into their pool taking Mistresses time away from them.

If you are of a more dominant nature then you are in luck. SL has always had overwhelmingly more submissives than dominants. So you can start your own scene with a latex dress and a "Mistress" group tag.

If you are submissive the road ahead is a lot more difficult as you are competing against the hundreds of other well dressed latex sub for the one dominant on the sim that's dressed like its 2006.

That said most subs are compulsive masturbators just looking to get off and leave. Show that you are fun and entertaining to be around and you'll do well.

When designing a sim what is the first thing you do? If you do not own one, what is the first thing you look for in a good sim?

Do you like the ever more commonplace 'level' design to sims where by you telport via a click/sit method or 'experience' or do you prefer to actually walk around the places without the breaking immersion of teleports?

Do you prefer dark or light windlights?

When designing a sim, i start with a vague idea and get a off-sim environment according to it. Then i place the big mesh rocks and mountains. And after that, i try to get some more detailed ideas about the shape and where buildings will be. Next is the coastline, and when this is done, i fuck with Terraforming.

My Nr. 1 priority is to create an environment where you do not realize that you can't go any further. And that's also what i am looking for in other sims.

The best sims always make you feel like you are in the middle of a big landscape.

Because terraforming is awful and i am bad at it.

- The interface is just fucked up and it takes ages to get it like you want it.

- You can't make something that's more than 90 degrees.

- In reality, you can't even make anything steeper than 45 degrees without it looking like shit (a stretched grass texture, transitioning into a stretched stone texture).

- When you have something like a 1/4 sim parcel, you can't choose your ground texture yourself.

- You can't build outside of your sim.

Placing all the big and necessary mesh parts like off-sim environment, coast line, beach, mountains, big rocks first, and doing the terraforming later, when you already know how exactly everything will be placed, is just less work with better outcome.

This here is probably the most popular beach, you can find it in nearly every sim that tries to be photogenic

Try to do terraforming first and then place those pieces. You will have to redo most of the terraforming you already done, just to make it fit.

Interface is not bad, what do you mean? Takes ages? Not really you just need to know what it is you want and work around bad, unavoidable parts with mesh to fill in the gaps.

True about the degree factor, prims are nice but for me, as a builder, I always notice when a path-way is prim or land straight away, it kind of breaks the cycle for me because i realize how flat that surface is in a heartbeat.

1/4 parcel not really meant for big designs anyway. Have a friend who has a place and three fags have co-op'd to pretty much take over the region and while their build is ugly it's also never gonna look good because they are using joined parcels etc.having to fit ideas into all sort of parcel shapes.

Building outside of sim limited to off-sim prim stuff, ie you link an object to a prim, turn the prim insibile and make it the main-prim or main object whatever it is, you know when it's yellow instead of light blue? Then you can partially move stuff outside of your area as long as the main prim still resides within your bpundaries, not great but yeah, look at SL15B they have roughly 24 regions just for their buiild. Some builds are 4 regions just to make what their idea for one region would be, but they needed 4 to do it, does that make sense? Those LL guys are lucky in that sense that they can just get whatever land or however much they want or need to do what they want to carry out.

As for your beach gimmick it's easy to make that fit in, just raise the land to a certain level, flattern it, put the mesh down, extend that land over the mesh by however much you want, then hit smooth and wait for it to start blending in with the rest of it.

Depends on whether you want realistic or cartoonish.

For realistic, Maitreya with the V-Tech Chest addon, Catwa head with a skin from Sugar Garden is probablt your best bet.

For cartoonish, Kemono and the M3 will do. But you'll look outdated and boring.

There's a few options.

If you are ok with modding you can get the Simple Stuff flat chests, they come for maitreya and belleza Isis/Freya. They have a better fit than V-tech and imo look better, but don't have omega, so you need to apply the textures yourself.

For head you can either use catwa as already suggested, but that will not really make you look anime. You could try the BJD bento head.

Just wanted to add EVE as a body that is 1.250L$ but still fits most of the mesh clothes and has some clothing stores creating things for it.

Okay so with this new update I realized that SL Cache Viewer no longer works.

I've been looking at how the cache works and it seems that the whole thing got shifted about and no longer reads out of the "texture.entries" file and is now relying on a "texture.cache" file which (Ironically) the SL Cache viewer is incapable of opening.

I do a shitload of modding in Secondlife and am the furthest thing from a codemonkey so I am kind of curious;

Has anybody found a way around this?

Am I using an old program and there has always been something better than cache viewer?

Is there anything out there that can crack a .CACHE file?

I have a working texture cache viewer, however, it's a tad more annoying because it downloads all the textures instead of just viewing them. Also the files are JP2 so you have to use Irfanview Thumbnails to view them, but it works.

So i tried OpenSIM and the first issue is already that there are no good mesh bodies (there is just Sephira).

It would be awesome to host my own region and not having to pay for the ridiculous expensive Linden land.

Am i doing something wrong or is there really no way of using OpenSIM without being bound to a shitty looking avi?

ok, now i got a bit more into it and there are places like https://opensimworld.com/hop/78340 where you can get mesh bodies that are a rip off of the popular SL bodies.

Now suddenly the whole OpenSIM stuff seems awesome as fuck... if you know how to copy bot and if you can do some scripting.
