Are there any places left that aren't just full of normalfags?

I've noticed more and more I just use SL as a singleplayer dressup / home decoration sim, yet every time I go out to try and find a new sim to hang around, or people to meet, the population has just become more and more full of normalfags who struggle to type a few words, and have nondescript human female avatars, by the hundreds. Years ago they weren't uncommon but it seems that anyone that is interesting or intelligent enough to hold a conversation with has left.

TL;DR where did everyone go? My original goal was to find a good sci fi or fantasy RP sim but at this point I'd take so much as a hangout full of people that don't seem dead inside, surely there have to be some places that have at least an okay community base still

it's been done, jasx has proven that it is possible. a good SL rpg in particular would be unparalleled but apparently no one knows how to design rp incentives so all rp SIMS suffer from the same problem. RoE at least made an attempt with their resource drops, but without something more to encourage interaction you still wind up with people spreading out and standing around. i wouldn't even mind more simplistic mechanics, because simple works best over SL, but good luck finding anyone who is actually interested in giving weight and consequence to the narrative, instead of treating rp like they're still in a goddamn aol chatroom.

Yeah, personally I like the freeform rp stuff since it's just like a group fiction writing, but I can't stand how much people don't regulate themselves because they all want to be "the badass one you don't mess with" Sims really need something to make sure people fail from time to time.

SL*B is such a shitshow event, you got maybe a handful people having good builds, the rest is filled with laggy prim and sculpt garbage.

The gifts are bad, the events are just the typical SL DJs playing dadrock while middle aged mouthbreathers spam annoying gestures and have their ugly oudated avatar animated by dance balls that don't blend into the scene.

Look at this shit, awesome build, and what do they put on it? A dancefloor. What's on the dancefloor? A fucking sandbox and playground equipment. Why? Because the people dancing there have the mental capacity of a 3 year old.

Sansar is basically a platform to build VR compatible games/"experiences" just like Unity and Unreal are, and much like Unity has the asset store and Unreal has the Unreal Market, they're selling user-generated content for people to drop in to their experiences. The only difference is Linden Lab plans on doing all the multiplayer hosting in the back-end and that's basically going to be their draw to get you to choose them over the other two.

Why the fuck do you think they're hand-picking specific creators to get to use Sansar first? So that people start building shit to sell in their market before they launch.

Next they'll open up things for all creators and SL users so everyone will pour in to check it out and do their server load testing for them.

It's pretty genius really, especially since idiots like those in half this thread honestly think it'll be SL 2.0 so they're hyping themselves and their friends for a newer, better SL when that's not even close to what it'll be.

I'd just do regular commissions but it's a real hassle to set up for me due to tax laws in my country and paypal is a bit sketchy when it comes to pornographic stuff (and in general in my experience). I also don't want my real identity to be revealed through some payment process. It's not something I'll do regularly anyway, I suppose. I just want to set up a sweet avatar without spending my hard earned money on it and I'm willing to draw a few pictures for it. It's also good motivation to draw something lewd again.

The most you need to know is how to set up RLV folders. The BARE HUD might help on telling how to do that. BARE will work with any outfit, be it on a human mesh, furry, anime or whatever.

JasX HUD outfits can also be used for BARE. I believe those outfits in particular allow an underwear layer too.

There's two important things to note when setting up RLV folders.

• When copying your outfits, be sure to right click and "paste as link". Useful if you happen to have any trashy no-copy items.

• How RLV folders work is things get detached and attached from that folder when things happen. Example being if your torso layer breaks in BARE, the contents of your "Dressed/Torso" or "#BARE_Chest" folder detaches, and anything from "Bits/Torso" or "#BARE_Chest_Nude" will be attached.

Here's how to set up your folders in the pictures provided.

I've actually been meaning to do this exact thing. I look at it like building a custom PC. Some people don't want the hassle and just want to be handed a well researched solid machine.

I've made around 7 or 8 different avatars already and they all get attention and compliments. Aside from the obvious cost of putting it together what do you guys think would be a reasonable fee for doing it?
